KFC in County Durham

Total rip off on the popcorn chicken Regular box costa £3.99 And there was about 15 small bits in the tiny box so about 27p per tiny bit ??????? Disgraceful and rip off Not only that but they weren’t very nice, seemed not hot enough and bit chewy so maybe old ???

Called in on a Sunday evening around 7pm (they close at 10pm) only to eventually be told they weren't taking any more orders in the restaurant because they had taken too many orders for delivery. At least we were better off than the poor woman in front of us in the queue - she was waiting for over 10 minutes before anybody bothered to tell her this.

Went to get takeaway for the family. I asked for no drumsticks and I got four drumsticks. I asked for corn and coleslaw and only got corn. The chicken we did get was really over cooked and the chickens must have been on a starvation diet as there was barely any meat on the bones. Add to that the price shooting up and well it was just dreadful over all. I was there at 5:30 so I'd expect a fair bit of throughput and stuff being fresh as it was dinner time.

A bad KFC all round. We picked up food to watch the football with, got home half a mile away (driving) and the food was stone cold. Only the gravy was hot. The boneless box we ordered wasn’t boneless as half the chicken was pieces with bones. I complained with a private tweet and got an apology but didn’t replace the food or anything. Cleaning also needs improved here. Just won’t be back.

Upon entering the first thing you notice is a filthy litter strewn floor with cleaning sign’s dotted around, total bull,no cleaning was done while I was there and a similar thing last time I visited. Two bins inside were overflowing with stinking food leftovers and general rubbish,all tables and I mean every single table was filthy. Staff have no interest and most orders are wrong,3 people in front of me complained about wrong food,to be fair,my order was correct just burnt so bad I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. I complained and asked for my money back as I couldn’t allow my son(much to his disappointment) to eat in a hovel like that !!! God knows how they got a 5 star hygiene rating as it doesn’t deserve to register on the scale at all, keep away from this restaurant at all costs.

All the staff are clearly undertrained and really could do with going on a course for customer service, rude and miserable. The whole place is run down and unclean and ordered 2 snack boxes that took ages to arrive. The screens were not working - one only half the screen - 2 off and one working. Customers had to ask staff to clean tables who afterwards then put the cleaning bottle on the machine where they make krushems and then she did not wash hands but went behind counter again - very unhygienic - will not be returning!

Ordered a fillet rice box I was informed there wasn’t any rice but could have salad. Got home to find the box contained salad with no chicken. I rang up to inform staff. The girl who answered implied I was lying as she had seen the fillet chicken be added to the box. I wouldn’t waste my time going back.

Ordered the 10 Piece Family Feast, The Chips and Chicken were all a horrible dark brown colour. This means only one thing, the cooking oil is not getting changed frequently enough. I know the war in Ukraine has increased the price of cooking oil by 100% but in the kitchen you have to change the cooking oil at least every week otherwise all fried food will be discoloured and dirty from the aged and dirty oil. For heavens sake get the kitchen in order. KFC is a lovely meal with the chicken is a golden orangey/brown colour. Dark brown......... Yuck.

Tried to order online for 30 mins tried calling no response decided to go and get takeout already closed before closing time what a joke kfc I don’t want to repeat what I think it means . It takes me 15 mins there and 15 mins back 10pm closure you need to say 9.20 or 9.30 staff totally deaf when knocked on door dhs

It has been a while since I reviewed KFC and I have to say it has not improved and I must say that cleanliness must not be a priority as the same poor standards are apparent in other stores in addition the store was dark with not much in the way of lightning and the surfaces were sticky and dirty it was also very cold and uninviting moving on to the food well it leaves a lot to be desired both myself and my wife ordered the tower burger meal firstly the burger was nice enough but the chips although hot and fresh were worse than a child's portion an absolutely miniscule amount as for the drink of diet coke it was absolutely abhorrent not nice at all I am sitting in my car writing this review looking at the KFC I have just ate in and I am looking at the sign which has been tied on with cable ties half hanging of the wall and dirty looking a fitting example of KFC im afraid tatty dirty and lacklustre as always my review is completely honest as I see it and never distorted and aimed at helping people make an informed decision as to where thy choose to eat

Waited nearly 40 mins for a meal this is not fast food, no apology and hardly any staff, total shambles and blaming COVID!

took 25 minutes to make my food, and when i got it, the wrap was freezing cold and 5 people came after me and got there food before me, a deliveroo driver got there and the persons food he was delivering was made before mine SHOCKING

Just been to KFC in Gilesgate and the toilets absolutely disgusting. Should be aloud in food outlets

The KFC is well run and clean with friendly staff. But it really needs a drive through. There is plenty of space around the building so should not be a problem. Although the staff do say that the houses over the other side of the busy noisy road, have objected to previous planning permission for a drive through at KFC, based on it may cause noise from car engines ????

suprised at how nice the food was here, dont eat kfc often but sometimes can be disapointed, not this time , the chicken was freshly cooked and piping hot, not greasy and sides fresh and tasty too.

I dropped in on this restaurant when I was in the area and being KFC I had high expectations of it - which of course it delivered on. Food lovely, staff friendly and the place was spotless. Certainly worth going to if in the area.

No clear tables. Rubbish strewn everywhere. All bins full. No staff clearing. Don't even think about it.

we enjoyed breakfast here, the food was prepared freshly and nothing was too much for the staff, who were delightful, we did not eat here in the evening,choosing to eat in Durham,but I am sure the food and service would have continued in the same...

Staff are rude/ignorant, food is either under cooked with raw batter or over cooked and left sitting for hours till its utterly inedible. Never have large beans available and they frequently forget to put all your order in the bag. We now drive to thinford for a decent Kfc as the ones in durham are awful.

This is a typical KFC establishment. Nothing special but ok for a fast food outlet. However, on the many occasions I've been there with my family it's always freezing cold inside!! Please turn the heating on when required or at least turn the air-con off...

Visited last night around 7.30. Food ok. Tables and floor filthy. Half restaurant blocked off and unable to use. Three tables occupied by groups of youths who were very loud and swearing. However, the real problem was the temperature of the restaurant. It was freezing....

I will avoid in future, waiting around like a lemon to be served only for it to take too long, kids meals in KFC are terrible

great fast food` they have very efficient and helpful staff who obviously keep tables and toilets clean -wha'ts not to like?
