Kfc in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Wow… don’t know who is cooking today ( 21/6/24 3pm )but it’s literally the best kfc I’ve ever eaten! So crispy and juicy, really polite server and quick! Can’t fault this kfc 😍

Rude staff serving on the drive through. Greeted by “What do you want”? No manners or customer service what so ever. Actually cancelled my order in the end as I couldn’t believe how rude she was and explained to another member of staff why and he did apologise. Staff outside smoking looking very scruffy. Will not be returning.

We don’t usually eat at takeaways , we occasionally have a fresh well reviewed fish and chips . Yesterday afternoon at 3.30pm we were right by KFC Bodmin . I said I’ll treat us , there was no queuing due to time of day , but to have the food ready in the 20 secs it took from ordering to getting to pay was more than fast food , which was worrying . The chicken wasn’t hot and the casing popped off , the chips were a joke , such a small portion and scraggy chips which had been cooked a while before , probably ready for the post school run ? The chicken sizes were inconsistent. Money wise was ok if it was fresh and hot . The problem was whilst eating seeing 3 members of staff stood outside smoking ! If I was KFC I would ban smoking 🚬 during the work shift hours , no exceptions. The staff were young , looked grubby and seeing them smoking out by the bins turned my stomach , we are very anti smoking , especially where food is concerned . My wife went in to use toilet and came out disgusted 🤮 dirty toilets , floors dirty , NO toilet paper 🧻 . She looked for staff , but with 3 of them outside having their nicotine fix , no one was available. She did say the kitchen looked clean , that is one good thing . I wish I had taken photos of the food , very poor , the SMOKERS and the dirty inside and toilets . We will never go there again , avoid this KFC, I can’t imagine the staff went in and washed their hands , Yuk ! Bodmin KFC needs a good shake up .

Well i need to be blunt , people who seek out honest satisfaction usually seek out fast food, There are 3 obvious culprits Mac's , Burger King or KFC... KFC is Priced like a premium fast food a little more than macs & bk, and these days pending on where you go due to shaky franchise culture that has been allowed to spill every where there are varying degree's of questionable experiences. Which is why the hard unavoidable question is how can some thing fast with a high price point I can remember when the plans for this site were announced & there was a real buzz no one really new what it would bring, that being said though the first drive through kfc in mid cornwall it spoke volumes we had high hopes, Why did this site never evolve? Why did this site only ever achieve a base level standard? How is it i want to eat here but for some reason i just cannot bring myself to part with the money? And it boiled down to 1 very stark reality, I feel like theres nothing to trust, 1.5 trip advisor rating, Seriously?! Who ever owns this place clearly has too much money and doesnt fully appreciate the meaning of a fully unadulterated 1st class fast food dining experience . I actually wonder at which point regional operations for KFC just gave up? Because my professional point of interest in failing establishments makes me wonder where the limits are, And why it just continues to be a none event, I think that KFC in bodmin should be a mystery site for personell development as its lost, This site is literally bending and breaking and some how management is happy with its constant low achievement ...Seriously My last visit stopped me in my tracks and im still not over it....

Ridiculously slow - surly staff - expensive - avoid - wouldn’t recommend to anybody - if fast food isnt fast and cheap what’s the point ?

Absolutely filthy lots of staff on but no one bothered to clean bins overflowing nothing good to say. Food was edible at best.

Please do not go to Bodmin and expect "Fast Food?" You'll get food, just not fast! Miserable faces could be seen! Not from everyone admittedly but let's be honest, it does make you wonder? Most definitely needed more staff? I heard/saw 1 person behind the scenes look up at the screen (where the cooking is done) and seemed surprised that there was a load of orders waiting! The shock was on her face! Now I have no idea if this person had started shift but the way they reacted, it seemed like they were already working! The food was cooked absolutely fine and tasted great. I have to say? Cleanliness of the restaurant was good to be honest? Although the toilet facilities were dusty. Let's say the sink needed a clean? It wasn't horrendous but it wasn't great? We've been to other KFC's in Cornwall. Regrettably this is bar far the worst! So sorry Bodmin!

Have been here a few times in the past and haven't been overly impressed however....on this occasion the drive through was perfect the staff were very friendly and helpful and the chicken was cooked to perfection nice seasoning and fresh succulent chicken well done!

Went with my husband sister and nephew! When we got in there the place was an absolute mess! Used the toilet it smelt ao bad! Clearly people had been in there doing all sorts! Needed to clean the toilet before it could be used! Waited 25 mins for food! She was bagging what was ready so when we eventually got the food half if it was stone cold! Chips were cold soggy and undercooked!... chicken was dry! Even the skin wasn't nice! Burger just thrown together! Burger was tough! Nephew couldn't eat popcorn chicken as it was like rubber!!!.... Best thing we had was the Pepsi max! There seems to be some sort of staff shortage!!! 🤔 we never use bodmin as not in the area much safe to say if we are in the area again we will be avoiding this dirty place! Doesn't take much to wip round with a brush and a cloth!!! They all need some management or supervision!

Ordered a basic meal with an extra corn on the side, turns out there was no corn left and offered a replacement of coleslaw or similiar item but just wanted a refund. Attempted to receive my refund but was never fully processed. I also only got small chips instead of medium which were soggy and clearly been left for some time before serving. Very disappointed.

I went here at 6.27pm and it was already closed, when online it says it is open until 10pm. I think it is quite lazy off the staff and 1.5/5 stars rating for this place is 1.5 too many. If I could I’d give a 0. Walked in, lady at counter screamed at me we are closed, honestly rude. Wouldn’t give me a reason why either.

The foods not bad to be fair but you are waiting for so long to get it, even at quieter times they don’t seem to be in any rush

Went to drive thru, ordered fine. 5 min wait to get to pay. At pay window, server couldn't be less interested if she tried. Gave us our drinks, 5 minutes later tried to give them again... She had no idea she'd already done them! 3 lads in kitchen area looked bored and uninterested in their jobs. 20 mins pass, girl gave us a bag which was meant to be our meal. It belonged to the car behind. She didn't know her mistake, had no idea what our order was. Asked us to wait in the bay and they'd bring our food over. Another 20 mins pass, 3 cars leave drive thru (hopefully with their order?!) girl comes out with our food and a lacklustre 'sorry for the wait'. When asked if our whole order was there, she said it should be! Annoyed and had enough at this point, we left with the food. Chips were cold and limp. Chicken was luke warm, chewy and inedible. 40 minutes for inedible chicken!! Will not return

really surprised. This Kfc has a bit of a bad reputation but we've visited twice in a short amount of time recently and it's been fab, fresh and hot yummy food, dining area very clean! It has improved massively in my opinion!

Hello everybody.As we all know, there is a pandemic going on at the minute and KFC have opened up there drive through. I’m a lorry driver (key worker) who cannot get through the drive through. I parked the lorry up and walked round the drive through keeping the 2m distance rule. I didn’t get any response from the order machine so I walked round to the window where I was spoken to extremely rudely for trying to order some food. The manager was useless as they didn’t make an appearance and the message that was passed on to me was extremely rude. I was refused service as I didn’t have a car because my lorry won’t get through the drive through. I am absolutely outraged that a key worker who should be receiving praise was given utter ignorance and rudeness for wanting some food. Please avoid visiting this discraise of a restaurant as you will be spoken to rudely and abrupt.Kind regardsMax

What an absolute dive. Needs to be shut down. Floors,tables,bins and toilet an absolute disgrace. Took photos and going to send them to environmental health and rang them too. This place is unfit to consume food and customers need to be aware.

Well. I like chicken on the bone and I like gravy. Guess what. Neither were on the menu...having an absolute laugh. Paid nearly ten quid for a box of stuff I don't want. They didn't even have any serviette so I'm writing this on a greasy iPad right now. What a joke. Save yourselves a trip.

We came in for a “quick” snack which turned into an experience longer than the Great Wall of china. Not only did it take 40 minutes to make 4 meals for 1 and a child’s meal we were missing 2 drinks, a wrong burger, And missing 2 hot wings. We understand mistakes happen but when we politely addressed this, a miserable employee named “Kim” seemed to look in disgust, offered no apology and pretty much chucked the correct food at us. To make things worse, they handed us a spork for our 1 and a half year old to eat ice cream with. Sons crying now. Thanks Hope your day is as bad as your service.

Bodmin KFC is a tricky one to write about, I return there often with the boys as it has become a sort of tradition however, the meal quality is highly inconsistent (sometimes embarrassing) the service provided by the workers is awful, often leaving whole items out of the meal and having a very poor attitude to the customers furthermore the hot wings are extremely hit and miss, one time you can get the most succulent, beautifully spiced and breaded wings whereas on another time the dirtiest wing with no seasoning or care about it and sadly just pure bone and no meat. Continuing the chips are soggy and the level of rigidity is poor I would prefer if they changed back to the original fries rather than these chips which are not good.Also, the state of the KFC building is sickening, the floor coated with a layer of grease which makes it extremely slippery and dangerous when going up to collect your food. There is always a hazy mist lingering in the air reducing visibility and making the breathing conditions difficult I believe it is grease. However after all of this I will still return there regularly and pick up my £1.99 fill up lunch, one of the mandem found a hair in his burger

the quality of the KFC experience quite often fluctuates. Some days we will arrive to our KFC Friday and the restaurant will be quiet, clean and the food will come out nice and hot, however this is often let down by the amount of times we have gone to KFC and the floors are often greasy, the staff are incapable of coping with a full restaurant of people, they often forget to put pieces of the meal into the value box and sometimes you can get more meat off an insect than their chicken wings. The reason we find ourselves now returning to KFC is the god like pricing on the value boxes and how conveniently close it is to college. I would not advise to anyone to start this sick cycle of disappointment and dismay.

If i could mark it less I would. Ordered the food on the screen, piece of paper attached saying they had ran out of burger buns. Then had to wait a good 20 minutes for our food, and still didnt get it right. Tried to give me diet pepsi when asked for original- got told they ran out. Sat down asked for some forks, he gave us one, when there were 3 of us on the table. Asked for more. Ran out of napkins to! What sort of place is this? Staff are rude, bouncing away screeching songs in the kitchen. Restaurant was a mess. I’m amazed these people still have jobs. Absolute joke of a KFC. We wont be returning.

Been in this Branch a few times and usually say I won't go back again, but kept hoping it would improve but never dose. So won't go back to any now ever again this bodmin kfc really is the worst not only kfc but fast food restaurant in England. from having run out of basic ingredients to poor service and missing food out, to very untidy restaurant, to rats running around in carpark around over loaded bins.

Staff obviously don’t realise that without customers they don’t have a job. They give a fantastic impression of being bored and that you are interrupting them. Had to wait nearly 10 mins for chicken sandwich and bucket of wings. They have no bacon - was told supplier had gone bust but they still charged me! It’s ok if you’re not in a hurry and don’t want any form of customer service.

We called at this KFC drive thru for a quick family meal, how we wish we hadn't, the experience was bad from start to finish.

Was shopping with my daughter, and wanted some lunch, saw there was a bucket deal on on Thursdays, so we called in and ordered just that, we had double chips and a drink for £10. I was delighted at the value, and the chiken was really gorgeous, normally I dont like chicken on the bone, but I DO have to say Kfc has this nailed!

Place had had a long overdue refurb, including staff. What. Massive improvement. Self order style options x2 if you want by we opted for counter service. Debbie served us. How lovely! Polite, smiled and extremely helpful. So much better than the last time we tried to use the service. Fairly busy when we popped in, but the wait wasn’t long. Food was cooked properly, and not burnt. We were able to sit at the new tables and chairs which are clean and well kept. Saw staff clean tables and restock salt/straws/sugars etc while we were there, again Debbie. Busy little bee! Can’t praise her more. Premises, staff and experience 100% up on last time. Debbie you deserve a Euromillions win too. Thank you for lunch guys.

Have been to this KFC a few times as it is next to the college just for a snack and the same went for this time. I ordered just a milkybar krushum and had to wait 17 MINS!!! 17 mins for what is essentially a milkshake is horrific, not to mention how blunt the staff were. After 10 mins, they had my Krushum out ready however I still had to wait until they did orders which were not only before but also AFTER mine. The woman finally got round to handing me my krushum and she didn’t even say ‘Sorry for the wait’. Extremely rude.

Have used this KFC for a while and never really had a problem apart from the long waiting times, but this time it was terrible, chicken was so overcooked, like it had fried twice, really dry, I ordered a variety bucket for myself and my family, we all had one piece of chicken each and the rest went in the bin, I won't be rushing back to buy more of this crap.

Went to the drive through but was told to enter shop as it wasn't working. There was a long question so I ordered via the computer. A while later the girl behind the counter said it's a 20 minute wait for chicken. Bored rude girl taking the orders. Lots of shouting between the service and the kitchen. Electronic order boards for the staff didn't seem to work. Both the self-service boards were broken with no notification, so people were wasting five minutes before they realised. Food ok but service was 25 mins. The manager should be shot.

Absolutely the worst food experience I have ever had. So many issues with it to start with people were asking for the cleaning cloth and bottle to clean their own tables. Food was everywhere and I have added a photo to show(this was right as you walked in) .2 people came in as they had messed up their drive thru order forgetting the chips. The four female members of staff decided instead of taking orders they would have a gossip by the drive thru window. The “manager” starting shouting “why is it all going wrong”. When I finally got my food I had to eat outside as no tables were clean inside with 4 members of staff doing nothing.I then take my tray back inside and the one lady starts giving me a death stare. I made the mistake of reading the reviews and thinking well it’s changed but it really hasn’t so STAY AWAY.

Waited 20 minutes to be served in the drive through, waited another 20 minutes just to pay...waste of time!!! Then kept being referred to as ‘darling’ while trying to order...appalling.

Litrally just come away from the drive thru after spending 20mins...yes 20mins getting served at the drive thru. We sat at the ordering screen for about 5 mins before the voice took our order ( just a zinger meal and extra drink, nothing major) we drove to the next window and paid and was afew mins later was handed 2 drinks which were almost spilled as the girl didnt even look as she handed them and let go before we had a proper hold of them. Then she wondered off without saying a word for afew minutes while the guy in the background tossed his tongs in the air afew times and caught them before using them to pick the cooked chicken pieces up amd place them in the buckets ready to be served. After waiting about 5, 6 maybe 7 mins, i decided to film.. and filmed us waiting at the final window for another 10mins before our food arriving and being handed to us in an open bag and just told.. 'there ya go' in a very incaring tone. At which we asked what took so long, her reply was... oh were busy inside and understaffed. Ive never experienced anything like it. I cant even find the words to describe how totally unprofessional it was. Like the kind of service you see in one of these undercover tv programmes exposing bad builders or something.

6 orders up on the screen for about 20 mins. 1 guy standing at front spraying trays. 1 woman shouting to kitchens for orders constantly. Guy out back constantly saying ‘what was that?’ So slow seriously. Painful to watch

All KFCs are slow but this one sets new low standards. One person on the till, 4 other people picking orders?? Seems a strange ratio obviously being the only KFC for miles means the management don't have to care and they really don't. I feel for the staff working under these conditions as they get the flack! Then to top it off they didn't have any gravy! I mean what's the point? Go elsewhere if you can as this experience will put you in a bad mode.

I've given poor reviews of this KFC a few times but could they have turned the corner and seem to be getting their act together. Todays visit was ok for KFC. Well done guys

The staff at this KFC need some training. The attitude seems to be that they are doing you a favour being there and to serve you is an optional extra. When they do decide to take an order they are rude and ineffective.

I got 2 mini fillet burgers with peppered mayo which were both surprisingly tasty and grease free, unlike some other KFC's I've visited over the years.

Over 25 minutes waiting for my food. No salt. No gravy and no blooming manors. I’m appalled by the service. My deer children were so hungry and moody waiting on there Friday treat. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered 6 chicken drumsticks! Told that they didn’t have any. In a chicken shop?! I said that I would wait, but the staff were grumpy and unfriendly.
