KFC is always very tasty, but this visit, I must say it was one of the best we've had in a long time you can eat in or take out, and this one comes with a drive-through to!

I've been to some rough areas but this KFC is the worst one I've been to it was quiet when I arrived but it took and hour for my food to be made the staff were rude (especially the elderly lady with glasses she needs to be removed or re trained). They forgot cookies a krushem and BBQ bites and when we got home the chips were cold not because of the trip they were uncooked considering I spent over £50 I could have had a decent nandos for the price we paid please avoid this place

Went on Wednesday night at about 7pm. I wanted to use the drive-through as it wasn't very busy. I waited in the queue for ages, when I got to the speaker nobody spoke to me, again for ages. I then drove round to the servers hatch to order in person. They looked at me like s**t and didn't open the hatch. I drove off and went to the golden arches (1 minute away) and got served straight away.

Shocking experience today here. Firstly one of the screens wasn’t working which was okay as at this point it wasn’t busy. Eventually we got the food but one portion of kids popcorn chicken was half full and the other full so there’s a quality issue there. The drinks were eventually give us it took me ages to get the much needed ketchup for the kids. We then went back as all adults in our group now here and decided to order at till instead. Well after being ignored for quite some time by the only male present we then ordered but his screen froze before we could pay so that took a while to reboot by which time there was quite a queue behind us. We got the food and drinks but the chips are so highly seasoned they are actually quite hot and spicy and to be honest quite unsuitable for small children with all that salt never mid the adults. In summary it will be a very long time before I revisit this place. The staff need intensive training in customer service and the fries are way too highly seasoned. There are alternative similar restaurants close by that actually value their customers.

Went through the drive thru, got the order completely wrong and at least half missing including a child’s meal. Was charged correctly so we know order was understood. Will not be coming back!

Appalling attitude of the server, so much so we won’t ever be back. Staff of this calibre damage the brand. Where is the customer service? We stopped in the car to speak our order into the drive thru speaker. Waited but no one asked for our order. As there was no queue we drove to the window to order and were met by an offensive tall middle aged male server who couldn’t take our order and said we had to go around to the reception/speaker again. His attitude was rude and offensive. We drove off not prepared to spend our money here. Customer service appalling, attitude appalling, senior management of KFC need to know this and do something about it. We visited at 22:30 on Saturday 20 January 2024 you know who you are.

Once again items missing from my order. I don’t want a code for next time I just want them to get my order right in the first instance.

Drove all the way from Formby, I had placed an order for 2 boneless buckets. With sides of rice corn and gravy. Drove home opened the order. No chips at all, no rice only 1 corn dumped a load gravy in place without saying. Called to complain, given a number to call to claim a refund. The number didn’t exist. Called the restaurant, kept on putting the phone down on me. Eventually left the phone off the hook. Give this restaurant a wide berth. Unless you don’t want a full meal and stuff that you didn’t order. Really poor service. Really poor customer service…. Don’t bother going.

Well what can I say? We called sat evening, we were met with greasy food, bits of chicken n chips to slide on the slippery floor. It wasn't busy inside but we were able to find a table that was nearly clear of food debris. Again empty boxes, bits of chicken and other food leftovers that was obviously left by other lazy customers. It would certainly put me off going again, even though the order was hot and tasty. Im sure it only takes 5 minutes to just clear a few tables and food swept away to make it even look presentable. You hear of some restraunts closed down because of food hygiene, but for a big American corporation🤑 it's not good.

Omg the staff were lovely, my order was accidentally incorrect, i did drive through, it was a long wait, but unfortunately I had to drive back, it was not up to standards, but I could see they was trying their best. They went above and beyond to fix my order and replaced, to be honest it was their effort to make things right , it’s more then left an impression with me, in fairness I always loved their service, so that’s all I had in comparison but it was a one off experience and has not put me off thanks to the lovely staff , Damn I wish I took the names off the two staff, everyone needs to hear positive feedback xxx

This KFC is a drive through, eat in or takeaway. After battling through the cars queuing for the drive through we eventually got to the front door, we joined a disorganised queue, we wanted to pay cash and waited for about 10 minutes but no one came to the tills so our only option was to order from the self service screens ( you need to remember your order number as the machines don’t print out your receipt). Whilst waiting in the pick up queue we were watching the young clueless staff behind the counter trying to put orders together putting things in bags then taking them back out several times then putting them back in. Other people were complaining asking where was their order as people were getting served before them that had come in later. We finally got our order and returned back to our motor home only to find that from our order of 14 piece bucket with 4 portions of chip we on got 13 pieces, and to top it all the 13 pieces of chicken were sat on top of the chips which were squashed and soggy, It has happened to me before at different KFC’s , but it won’t happen again, we’ll opt for a different takeaway. Book your ideas up and train your staff and stop ripping people off.

Just dined at KFC for my little boys birthday, and it was filthy. It wasn’t busy but the whole restaurant was probably the dirtiest KFC I’ve ever been to. The toilets were disgusting looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. The food was ok, we ordered from the self order machine but the member of staff who gave us the food didn’t smile once. Witnessed a member of staff have a go at another customer because they shouted there order a few times and the customer didn’t hear because they were trying to clean their own table because it was so dirty.

Would not recommend this KFC. Ordered and considering we were the only ones there waited some time for order. Staff member out collecting rubbish whilst order remained in serving area. When food eventually handed over it was cold. Returned it ,no apology just handed replacement food. Could understand delay in service if the place was full but as stated we were the only customers at the time.

Well that's made my mind up, KFC off the menu.....No Milk so no tea or coffee. Dry Chicken and poor fry's....No wipes afterwards....We have had poor food from three KFC,s now so our monthly treat will be going elsewhere....Such a shame...used to be finger licking good.. Now So Poor.

Disgusting standards of housekeeping….. floors / tables not cleaned. Bins overflowing outside. Nobody to be seen doing any cleaning.

The staff attitude in this kfc is the worst customer service i have ever experienced. Not a one off either we drive through quite often as we like certain items on the menu. However we always check our order before we leave as it is often wrong, when it is wrong there is no apology look at you as if you have just landed from Mars or its ypur fault. Need some customer training from McDonald's across the road alway polite, friendly and very apologetic on the rare occasion somethings not right.

Abrupt, rude and careless staff, cold fries, no salt. All in all completely dreadful. We shall not visit again.

This place has ok in past but seems to o be going down hill, not that price is. Ordered zinger fillet meal waited at least 10 mins and it was barely warm, only the fries had some heat. Coffee...a white coffee is not exotic now but had to have a black coffee with horrid little milk pots....2nd time here this happened. Place was empty and cars appeared to be waiting ages too. This is my weekly ish treat....was not a treat today. Receipt code 087210202238012. Don't make me go to MC Donald's....buck up KFC.

Where do I start. Well first I ordered and paid on the app. When I got to the restaurant it was closed due to a power cut. A member of staff told me I would be refunded or call back in 10 mins and the systems may be back on. While sitting in the car park waiting for the restaurant to open again I checked my bank there were 2 pending payments for £12.47. I went back into the restaurant to query this and was told there were no orders for me and to wait 10 more minutes to see if it came through! So now I'm 20 minutes waiting and still no meal. I eventually ask to reorder as I can't wait all night. I show my order and am told it's an online offer only ! I dispute this and eventually they allow the order. I did have 2 hot wings on my free offers on the app but again they said only one offer per order! Another discussion explaining the app had allowed it so why not in store? Eventually they agree to the 2 hot wings. This was now 30 minutes into my visit. I then stood there from 6.24pm until 6.50 watching alot of people who ordered after me get served first. When I questioned this they said my order was coming. I had noticed a tray with fries and BBQ bites sat on the side for 10 minutes. Eventually they placed other items on it and called my number. I stated it's a take out. The server then proceeded to bag it up for take away. I requested fresh fries as they had been on the try for 15 minutes. To say the staff were pretty disinterested in customer service is an understatement. When I eventually got home almost an hour after set off I opened my Luke warm meal to find they had forgotten to put in a kids meal chocolate Sunday and my hot wings!!!! So now I have a cold half order of food and 3 pending payments on my banking app. This has got to be the worst experience I have ever had in a fastfood restaurant. I don't blame the teenagers who work in there I blame the management and lack of training .But it does not end there. 8 hours after my Luke warm extremely poor quality meal I started with stomach cramps and nausea. Put a complaint in and got a £10 voucher !!!!!

2nd time of visiting in the last couple of weeks, first time chicken fillets and hot spicy wings was missing..I was already home so couldn't do nothing.. tonight I ordered the same 10 piece wkd variety but before I dove off my wife checked and the same again,no chicken fillets or hot spicy wings.. passed the bag back for them to put the correct chicken In, they did this but no apology.. there is no control in this kfc as you see very young adults walk round like zombies. Very poorly managed.. and to top it off when your queued they tell you the card machine is broke and only taking CASH.. put a sign up before customers get stuck in a queue they can't get out of.. don't blame the kids, just how it's managed awful..

I should have walked away when there was nobody else in the restaurant when we arrived. Ordered a chicken wrapt but told "we don't have any wraps to put the chicken in today" OK so I'll have something else - "sorry no popcorn chicken". Finally ordered other options and sat down. My 10 year old granddaughter wanted to move table because she saw it was filthy. Problem was that all the tables were the same. We collected our order at the counter and had been served pieces of chicken which has obviously bee sitting for a long time. Dry, burnt and tough - worst KFC I have ever had. A shocking experience which we don't intend to repeat.

Food was hot freshly cooked and the service was speedy. We always use the drive through and never have to wait.

Ordered lots of food, via the extra slow drive thru, which was all fine apart from the 12 piece bucket of chicken which was ridiculously salty and inedible.

Really slow service, their was about ten cars in front of me. It hardly moved for about 20mins then when I started to pickup it took nearly 10mind per customer. Clearly needs a better manager.

Arrived here and place was filthy. So during strict Covid-19 regulation you apparently have to ask for your table to be cleared and cleaned from previous customer. Are you being serious. Staff only seem bothered about selling food not maintaining high covid safe standards. Sent to the toilet to find it crammed with 4 kids in a 2m square toilet who is policing this. Access to toilet controlled by key entry but hey ho its not working any number can just all cram in at once. Companies like this have a responsibility to do the right thing Colonel Sanders appears to be the Donald Trump school of Covid control. Sort this out before the covid police pay you a visit. Ate lunch here on Tuesday 25th August 2020 with daughter, her hubby and 2 grandsons.There was a very long queue at nearby Mcdonalds yet walked in here and only 2nd in queue. Food was lovely and hot. Not many table due to social spacing but we managed to get seat ok. Toilets were very clean. Wife only been to a KFC once but having enjoyed the meal here says she will go again which will please the grandsons

Went in for a bite to eat for the first time since Covid19. The food was as always, good, and fresh. But the restaurant was awful. The diners were herded into a small section, all the other tables were closed off. The tables felt grubby and I watched them being cleaned very halfheartedly, leaving chairs and high chairs untouched. The floor was dirty.The swing door to the toilets was covered in finger marks. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe and couldnt wait to leave. ( my daughter went to the loo, came back and advised me not to go). She works as an essential worker and neither of us are over cautious about covid, but we wont be going back.

Tasty and quick takeaway so we could sit on the sea wall and watch the sun set over the pier. Salad I had was lovely and under 600 calories

Went with my kids after a visit to the trampoline park. Food came out freezing cold, must have been sat on warmer for ages so 2 meals went back. Not convinced we weren't given the same back after a zap in the microwave. Server then put her finger in one of the buns to check if chicken burger was hot.... Yummy. Sat near front window, great view, but then I looked up and saw the wire lampshades were covered in thick cobwebs, right above our food, eww. Whole place needs a deep clean to be honest, but I won't be returning to see if it is any better!

Uncouth customers . visited here today no problems with the food or service the only issue was my companion with Aspergers had to endure sitting next to a table of 12 youths treating the place like a youth club non of them ordered food just sat in a noisy social group distressing my companion. Staff made no effort to remove them or even ask if they were eating food. This sort of thing us far to prevalent in this and similar establishments . Disability awareness is appalong

We went inside to order 5 meals with only 4 people waiting inside and took 10 minutes for they to serve us then when they finally took our order the person was rude, we then ordered and waited 50 minutes for our food we asked how long it was gonna take and they said there were doing it now but 4 times we asked, then 4 people came in after 25 minutes of waiting and they ordered and got there food straight away then we had hassle with the orders being wrong so we had to talk them through what we ordered to want they have chucked our way, unbelievable and won’t be returning to this KFC

This filthy establishment wants shutting down. Chairs are broke. Rubbish is strewn all over the place. Its dirty from top to bottom.

Refurbished and newly decorated Much more efficient than usual had two delightful chicken meals and were served immediately. Place clean and tidy and no complaints at all

I went to buy my family’s tea so went through the drive thru. It’s a Saturday evening so I expected a queue of cars. I ordered a boneless bucket and I asked to replace one of the dips for an extra garlic. I was told to wait in the parking bay. I Sat there waiting and waiting , watching cars come through the drive thru and leave with their food. after ten mins I got out of my car and walked towards to serving window . I thought they must have forgotten about me . As I waiting to speak to the server I saw a member of staff come out with my food after waiting over ten mins parked up . Got home to eat the good and no dips l. Family not happy .!

These guys are seriously thick and have no idea about customer service. Similar to the previous review I was left sitting in the drive thru for over 20 mins. No communication no apology in fact when I left my car to ask why was going on I got a moronic shrug of the shoulders and a mutter that I couldn’t quite decipher. I then found out from the talking box that this was all due to them not having a boneless chicken available. Apparently there were few brain cells available either. Fortunately some of the people behind me managed to reverse out and I was free to go to MacDonalds.

Went drive thru ordered food only had one car in front of me waited over 20 minutes all cars built up behind me. Got to window got a mumbled apology something about the wait was due to the other customer waiting on boneless box. Why didn't they make him pull over so other people could get their orders!! Fuming will never go that KFC again oh and the food wasnt roasting

Our order was taken efficiently by Stella I believe her name was presuming she is a new member to the team as I haven’t seen her before, nice woman with good customer service skills however the other two women behind the counter seemed rude and to almost be disrespectful towards the cashier giggling, speaking whilst she was trying to do her job, as seemed the only one to be their job correctly.

Not to busy but could have been a bit cleaner. The food was prepared quickly and of a good standard. Usual cleaning obsessive bloke with the hairnet must have been off as floor and tables needed wiping. Newish girl Beth patrolling and doing a good job asking if the food was OK could have given her a brush. Nice atmosphere in here tonight.

Half-decent Zinger Box meal was let down by the undercooked fries. Typically KFC in our experience isn't great, regardless of location.

Come here regularly with disabled service user. This is the first time i have ever walked out of a place without ordering. It literally looked like someone had took the bin and emptied it all over the place literally couldn’t find a table not strewn with rubbish and food no excuses a disgrace.

Best KFC we have had in years like it was in the 70's-80's no grease running down my hands we had the mighty bucket for one & fillet meal, staff were spot on & efficient, I don't use drive through's they're for idle people who can't be bothered to get out of there car's so the servers think they won't complain if given rubbish, drive through's are from america where they don't want to be shot so stay in there car's not for idle Brit's.

Saturday 6th April 2019 went to kfc drive through.On looking at the menu then we tried to place an order from off the board.After trying to understand the person i drove to the window and got told they do not do that any more but i can have the other option with hot wings and i said no hot wings and then got told thats the other option so i left and will never go back.

Been to this place so many times and I never learn. They constantly get the orders wrong or have items missing that you dont realise until you get home. Get a grip guys! Last straw today. Paid for 2 box meals and 3 kids meals. All drinks provided but get home to find out one of the children has a meal missing. Management, please sort it out. It's beyond a joke now.

called in a few days ago (for the first time) and could not understand the member of staff (my hearing is not too good) and despite explaining my hearing difficulty the response was rude and impatient. I decided not to pursue the order and left. Will not go there again. Has actually put me off ever going to KFC again.

When I ask for a Pepsi I want a Pepsi not a Pepsi Max, when I asked why they gave me the wrong drink they said it was for some ridiculous competition and they had to push Pepsi max sales, if I want to pay Theresa Mays ridiculous tax for my proper Pepsi I will, don’t try and dictate my order

I have enjoyed every visit to the KFC Restaurant at Ocean Plaza. Its so nice that it looks out onto Southport Beach. This provides you with a sea view when the tide is in. I feel that this KFC is clean and lovely place to eat as its usually quiet.

Food was not warm and as for cleanliness oh my word. It was disgusting tables hadn’t been cleaned for ages. Very poor.

So, I’ve recently visited KFC twice and both times i have asked for a gravy with my meal and both times i did not receive a gravy meaning my meal was boring and tasteless. Both times i asked for this was when going through the drive through and both times the staff member serving me has agreed with what i was saying this time they even said my order back to me including the gravy!!!

Poorly managed although the staff could take it upon themselves to do other jobs instead of standing around. Queue out the door, 1 car at drive thru yet 6 staff doing nothing. No krushems, no toilet roll, girl on till needs customer service training. Food was okay.

It was busy because they had the airshow on. We ordered Krushems but were disappointed that the cups were unevenly filled and not filled to the brim.

I order a box meal mainly, and everything from the chicken burger to the pepsi max was spot on - KFC at its finest! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will come back as much as possible (in a healthy way)

We bought three meals with the intention of eating outside on one of the tables. However, due to the state of the table and surrounding area, we decided instead to drive to somewhere a bit more appealing. We park up and go and find a bench overlooking the marine lake. We get our food out of the bag, all as ordered BUT no fork/spoon included (these are usually supplied in the box rather than available to help yourself to like the salt, straws etc. Exactly how we are expected to eat our sides of baked beans and coleslaw ? I should have checked myself as this has happened before, won't happen again as I'll check in front of them in future. Food decent enough, although chicken fillets seemed smaller than usual, and chips cold, Pepsi Max flat, but again too late to sort when you've driven off. I know we visited late in the day on a Bank Holiday Monday, must admit I was surprised that they hadn't run out of things as has happened to us in the past, but the place seems poorly managed. A fella had to ask for sugar while I was waiting for my order and was passed a couple of sachets rather than someone coming around to fill the container

Not very busy the place was spotless and the three piece meal was hot and served quickly. Could not fault the place tonight

Ordered a Family bucket through the drive through., Got it home, hardly any chicken in the meal at all. Chips were soggy and cold and the chicken looked more like chicken wings instead of chicken. Tried to contact company to complain, no joy. I have never written a review before but, am so angry !!!! don't bother if you are in the slightest bit hungry!!!!

We eat here about twice a month. The chicken is tasty but I have stopped eating the chips as they are somewhat greasy and too salty. Service is good, staff pleasant. If it is too busy they struggle to keep the tables clear. The rice meal is more healthy but the chicken is so tasty that we usually have that.

Been to many KFC's across the land and the Southport ocean plaza one has to be the worst.

Visited here with service user this evening place was freezing we had to leave our coats on. No issues with the food tasted great as did the coffee. Tables not clean we had to clean our own with wipes there didn’t appear to be anyone cleaning tables staff just seemed happy chatting to each other behind the counter. Tables had piles of waste on.

What a disgusting place! Everywhere was filthy, bin were overflowing even the counter was minging with old receipts and sticky marks on. I didn't order any food because it was that dirty!

I should have learned my lesson last time but now it has happened again I ordered a bargain bucket both times and had half of the pieces as drumsticks then thigh and one small breast piece this time I phoned and was told you get what your given anyway it was a promotion when looking at the advertising pictures it doesn't show that the majority of the chicken will be the cheapest cuts

This is a busy KFC near the front and popular with families there fore it can get a little hectic, however the place was clean and coped with a fast turnover of customers.

Only been here once before and just fancied it today. Chose a chicken wrap chips and Diet Coke. Made to order chicken wrap was ok but hardly amazing. Chips bit soggy but I guess you get what you pay for although to be honest I think I'll go McDonald's next time. Restaurant seemed clean but it's all a bit dull and needs some imagination put into decor.

You know what to expect at a KFC, chicken with some chicken, and maybe a bit more chicken to sprinkle on top. Today I had a bucket for one and a zinger tower burger. THe chicken in the bucket was ok, slightly greasier than normal, but hot and edible. The zinger burger was excellent, probably the best I have had in a long while. The chips however were not very hot and not very tasty.

Had time to pop in for lunch today and so glad I did food was so fresh service was swift awesome views perfect lunch will at to my list of places to eat well done KFC 5 stars

Visited this KFC for the first time with my Granddaughter. Never again . We ordered 2 Popcorn Chicken +2 Chips.The Popcorn Chicken was soggy and Luke warm the chip s were cold . Did not bother complaining as Staff too busy and long queues of people waiting for their mealsThis was 12-30midday so there certainly was no excuse for soggy cold food.Needless to say we will not be returning. Would be interested to KFC comments !

Even though it was mid day and the staff were extremely busy our meal was quick in coming. We did however have to wait for the drinks which was a shame.

Stopped if here for some lunch, it wasn't very busy, but the place was filthy, most of the staff were stood around chatting, the toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week, absolutely disgusting, considering it's a new restaurant, the standards are terrible, if the manager reads this, get your team to give the place a good clean, and mop behind the toilet doors!

I went on holiday to America in January and had chicken wings at Hooters. They were truly something to behold.After having tasted what wings are like in the better restaurants in America I can't enjoy KFC in the way I used to.For me the chicken is a bit too bland, I do like the crisp breading, however there's not enough spice or flavour. There isn't much atmosphere in the restaurant either.I can't fault the staff, they were all very professional and friendly. It's the chain's fault, it needs better leadership, a new vision.

By far the worst ever visited: cold food which had to be returned, appalling staff who belittle customers, dirty dining area, toilets unclean. Overall give this a miss!

We got the party box very nice and plenty in it we would definitely get it again we bought our food then went to the beach and ate a lovely evening

Now there is plenty of bad KFCs. This is not one of them. For example the one in town is just awful.This one seems to employ the best staff!We came here recently to order a big order , friendly staff and quick to receive it. Which is often the experience.Food was great , happy days!Also did you know you can get student discount if you use the app!

I had only eat KFC once in my life that was in 1960s I didn't go mad on it then so never had it again, until my friend and his wife and my wife and me were watching the Southport air show. We were all feeling peckish but didn't want to move and loose our place. So my friend went off to get something for us all. When he came back he had KFC wrappers I thought oh no. BUT we had some lovely chicken burgers and chips it was first class, and since then We have had more and more from KFC. It's always buisy so they must have something right. I would recommend this KFC if you want a tasty meal or just a snack, first class nosh.

Me and my partner went here tonight after bowling was a good experience and is a new building.food good as usual we couldn't fault the staff quick efficient and friendly

We often stop here for a lunch on a Friday and have always been pleased with the food.When the weather is good it is nice to sit outside and look out to sea but it is also OK to sit inside as well.We have been to many KFC over the years and to be honest some of them have been a bit grim - but this one is usually clean and tidy and the food tast's fresh and good.

Order was in correct so please check before you leave and the service through the drive through from placing the order to receiving it was 20 mins.
