Passionless staff, very rude, didn't care that they messed up my order, I ordered 3 piece chicken, only gave me too. Watery crusheum

It was terrible experience I have never had such 3rd class chiken ever in my life I have been to many KFC shops but never experienced such. I ordered combo of fries, large coak and chiken wings , 1st of all it was not wings above that so oily and thick layer of that crispy crunch and less chiken. in fries also half of the packet was empty. Very bad service

I didn't even want to give my time up to write a review for this place, but just to warn others I will, I'd seriously recommend going somewhere else. I've tried this KFC in Reading 5 or 6 times over the last 2 years, each time having a bad experience but hoping it was a one off as other KFCs have been great. But it is always the same unfortunately. Not all your order will be hot or fresh, it's pot luck. My chips were stone cold, zinger chewy, hot wings a little warm. Staff have a bit of "attitude". The place is filthy. Toilets are rancid. I ordered an americano with my meal, when I lifted the lid it was black, that's fine, but when I went back to ask for milk the lady made a big deal about what I ordered. I said didn't see a white or black option? Maybe I missed it. Anyway, after what could have escalated into a big argument for no reason, and why are we arguing about milk in the 1st place?.... all they had to do was give me some milk instead of the argument. They didn't have any sachets in the end anyway, probably why they were arguing about milk. Who the hell is running this place? You can make your own opinion up if you dare visit, but please don't waste your cash. Go somewhere else.

Resturant dirty all tables not cleaned staff rude food items ran out no toilet as they had closed it pretty sure not allowed to do that no napkins salt pepper only had one type of Pepsi honestly never coming back here again they couldn’t care less

My first experience in kfc was in 1980 and the food was delicious and the service was active but this time I experienced something new the food was disgusting and cold and the service was very poor and the sweeper was serving drinks with her dirty hands right after cleaning so the worst kfc I ever experienced

This is by far the worst KFC I've ever been to. The service was left to one man, who was probably doing his best. The food was just a bit warm not hot and the chicken was tough, presumably because it was cooked some time ago and left to stay warm for ages. I didn't get the dip I paid for, the drinks were all pre poured on the counter and starting to reach room temperature. One of the chicken pieces was a wing with a tiny bit of breast. Pretty ghastly.

I have been to this branch, Broad Street, Reading, twice now. On my first visit about a month ago, I approached the counter and was ignored for some time even though it was not very busy. There were two members of staff behind the counter, one male who seemed to have some authority there and the other a female member of staff who was wearing a head dress. Eventually I was acknowledged by the female staff and I asked her about a promotional deal. She immediately told me that I could not get it because their scanner was faulty She said I could order food on the electronic order board. I left and thought I would go back shortly another day. I went back there yesterday and as I approached the counter it looked like the same two members of staff were serving. I was the only one at the counter. I waited patiently, but they both kept their backs to me occasionally looking back, while waiting for food which clearly was not coming through to them yet. Eventually another member of staff (female) turned up and proceeded to deal with a woman who had just approached the counter further down. I went to her as she finished and complained that I had been waiting and had been ignored by the other staff. She apologised on their behalf and for herself. The food was ok, but I would not recommend this branch to people I know. The staff need better training or should be pulled up for poor performance.

First of all it was a Sunday afternoon early evening. It was not busy, tables were not cleared and rubbish on the floor. I ordered a 4 piece originally chicken and fries and drink. The food came very quickly, the fries were only warm, the chicken was very dry and Not even a piece of breast out of the four pieces. A customer in front of me asked for some ketchup, a middle aged woman in a headscarf who didn’t appear to speak any English emptied a box on the counter with the sachets going everywhere and laughed ( very strange behavior). I went upstairs to the men’s toilet and bumped into the same woman who appeared to have been cleaning it, the toilet was again filthy, toilet paper everywhere, what looked like faeces was smeared on the wall. No I didn’t complain because clearly staff don’t care about customers or working in filthy disgusting conditions and by then I knew I would never go there again. This is probably one of the filthiest fast food restaurants I have ever eaten at. As you can see from my previous reviews I am not a serial moaner and never have I left a review like this before.

This place is running with low standards, staffs were slow and food was cold and when I reached home, hot wings and corn were missing. When I called the restaurant the staff member was really rude and hanged the phone on my face.

I often visit this KFC outlet for hot wings and nothing else. It’s a fast food chain, I do not expect silver service. Cheap, fast and greasy grubs… just the way I like it. My expectations on this occasion were nothing more than the usual quick in & out. However, I was appalled on this particular visit as I noticed the members of staff declining Tuesday promotion (9 chicken pcs for £5.99). Mind you, they would still sell the bucket meal of 10 pcs chicken for £15, but apparently there were not enough chicken to go around at £5.99 for 9 pcs whilst the advert was still live on the front door. This practice is clearly in a breach of trading standards. I tried to point out to the standing manager “Khagendra” that maybe he should take off the advert on the front door if they are no longer entertaining it. But because I had only ordered my usual hot wings, Mr. Khagendra questioned how literate I was?? Mind-blown!! Maybe serves me right for being a “Karen” but what they are doing is still not right!! I can almost appreciate that the team were probably trying to ensure more margin for the business (I wonder if KFC now have lucrative commission structure in place? I hope they do). Service can be optional. But the law is not! I would suggest that KFC trains their staff on trading standards and law. On to piri-piri!!

i placed my order before the store was open for delivery, delivery didnt start till 11am onwards but i recieved my order 15 minutes after the shop had opened at 1045am, didnt think anything of it until i ate my food and got food poisoning so ive been in bed all weekend extremely sick.

Frsh, tasty, crispy chicken that one would expect. Fast, friendly and efficient service. I can recommend and will call again

I really dislike leaving bad reviews so I’ll keep it short and sweet. I decided to go for the Zinger Stacker and not the usual Bucket. Big mistake. Sheer disappointment. Look at the pictures That’s it, that’s the review.

The food lifted this to a 2 star rating. KFC now only offer soft drinks that contain artificial sweeteners, which rules out people with certain medical conditions. To compund the problem they did not have thermo cups for hot drinks so the only thing they could offer was water

Visited Wednesday 16/12/20 at late morning with my wife, very rude horrible women at the door when we tried to enter banging on about scan the app, I said I don’t have the app for covid and she said rudely scan the app!. I said it’s not law to have the app so I don’t, I’d sign your book. She was very rude and horrible and made faces. The manager needs to address this member of staff as very horrible. Plus point Tracey took my order and she was very nice and helpful, a wonderful member of staff. She does really need good credit when due. The food was nice and hot and nice.

The only nice member of staff in there is Tracey, she’s always so positive and makes my day and always has a smile on her face no matter what! My only issue is that the rest of the staff are so rude for no reason, I was putting my purse into my bag and a lady told me to move and I said give me a second and she tutted at me 😂 I’ve asked for a Krushem multiple times and never got it cause machines always broken.. when I managed to order one the lady was rude and told me they did not have any, and insisted on giving me 2 Pepsi’s which had no purpose to me because I onlt need one drink... never have great experiences here but foods good I guess, just people...

Queue was long but once inside we were quickly served. Chicken was perfect as was what we expected with crispy batter & moist chicken. Trust me some franchise outlets don't always get it right & if production not properly planned you end up with oily chicken so kudos to this outlet.

The food here is good every time I order from this place however I have never been in a fast food place this slow. It took 30 minutes to order and collect. Obviously short staffed. Would not call this a FAST food place.

Entré hoy y, oh, mi palabra, qué desastre absoluto. Una gran cantidad de personas estaba haciendo cola y esperando su orden para cobrar. La comida salía rápidamente de la cocina, la preparación del miembro del personal la pasaba rápidamente y luego todo se detuvo. El miembro del mostrador de recolección no tenía idea, esperé 20 minutos mientras le daban mi pedido a otra persona, lo trajeron de vuelta, luego permaneció en el escritorio durante 15 minutos mientras intentaban resolver lo que salió mal , luego me volvieron a dar la orden devuelta (lo cual es bastante horrible en sí mismo pero había perdido la paciencia y no lo discutí). Paré aquí para un bocado rápido una noche mientras visitaba Reading. Por lo general, no reviso los restaurantes de comida rápida, pero esto fue bueno.El personal fue sorprendentemente amable y la comida era buena, las patatas fritas eran particularmente buenas. This is the 2nd time in a row that we were extremely disappointed. Food not right.. old stale fries.. you can get better fries in a local chicken shop...chicken pcs are so small and cut in awkward way to make it look big... chicken in zinger burger hardly cover half of bun...dirty tables and loud noisy cleaner who would bang the brush and pan right beside you to give you extra music. 2 out of 4 ladies toilets were out of order. 3rd toilet lock was broken and the 4th toilet flush wasnt working..we went again just to give another chance but never again.

Rather cramped and arkward if on mob scooter as seem to be in the way where ever you sit or get asked to move scooter

Items are frequently out of stock but rarely posted on the door, today it was once again the hot drinks supply. Today we were served overcooked chicken and fries, even with the replacement order. Staff service is very good but kitchen can't cook. This branch only has it's service and central location going for it. Also the survey website won't accept feedback anymore but won't identify the problem. Dreadful branch.

Disfruto de KFC pero este restaurante decepcionó a toda la compañía. El personal es miserable y está interesado. Ellos no hacen el menú. Pedí una gran caja para papá solo para que me dijeran que no lo hacen porque no tienen tocino. Pregunté por qué no hacen tocino y me encontré con estados en blanco. Los frijoles parecen haber estado en reposo durante una semana, el pollo y el moño estaban secos. Por favor, disfrute de KFC pero no en este restaurante.

Siempre quise probar KFC pero no pude porque no había Halal dondequiera que estuve hasta que de alguna manera me dijeron que este sirve halal.Bueno, la comida era deliciosa y el servicio fue muy rápido.El menú se redujo debido a la crisis que tenían en el momento de mi visita.Volvería allí de nuevo.

¡EVITAR! ! A pesar de los carteles que dan a la calle, los clientes no tienen idea de lo que está disponible hasta que llegan al mostrador. Sin avisar sobre los productos faltantes, solo indicando problemas con el suministro. Algunos días Original Recipe Chicken no está disponible, lo que afecta a productos como las Fiestas Familiares, Mighty Bucket for One, 2 & 3 Piece Meals; sin servilletas, Hot Wings, una Pepsi u otra, a veces ambas. Una pérdida de tiempo para el personal y los clientes. Dicho esto, el desastroso contrato de KFC con DHL claramente sigue vigente. Un montón de lugares de pollo que sirven lo que anuncian.

Me gusta KFC pero nunca volveré aquí. La comida era grasienta sin comparación, el personal no estaba interesado casi en el punto de grosería. No obtuve un pedazo de pechuga en mi comida y las partes que sí obtuve parecen haber sido freídas un par de veces por el estado de ellas. No use los inodoros para mujeres porque creo que pueden ser un riesgo para la salud, no estoy seguro de que hayan visto un limpiador por un tiempo y huelen mal, terminé yendo a otro lugar. Una experiencia absolutamente repugnante.

Poor experience from start to finish most of the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing order was wrong and corrected but by then the rest of my meal was cold will not use again

As soon as you walk into the shop all you can smell is fat, then I wasn't able to have chicken as it was Halal and what we did order took a good 10 minutes to be served.

KFC , servicio más lento que algunos como ubicación popular. Si KFC youlike estará muy contento que esperar. Si no, entonces probablemente no vale la pena la espera.

I have given this KFC service almost 10 chances before writing a review on Trip Advisor. This is probably the worst KFC outlet ever. Here are the reasons:1. Food served cold. Requested multiple times to serve fresh burgers, but the staff almost has no care for the customers.2. Wrong drinks served to the customers.3. Poor Staff 4. No acknowledgement of complaints/Complaints processIf you can live without KFC great. Otherwise, If you have to go, make sure you check your food (if doing take-away), or intimate before ordering the meal.

Was 6 o'clock and it was not busy at all.Me and my girlfriend had 2 tower up burgers that were fine quality wise.The lady serving us was struggling to complete 3 orders like she had the full restaurant.Our chips came cold and our coke was literally flat.On the side i could see that they had more than 10 soft drinks already in cups wich was completely unnecessary once the restaurant was nearly empty.If this is what happens with an empty restaurant i can't imagine how they work when it's really busy.I strongly not recommend this place for a meal.

One of my favourite fast food.Ok it is really fat. But to treat yourself time to time, it is amazing. The buckets to share are really convenient with friends or family.

It's a KFC, I didn't expect much and I didn't get much. Badly thrown together food. I eat at lfc quite a lot and this branch is not up to the normal kfc standard.

We sat in the restaurant to eat. Nice food, really enjoyed it. The only let down was visiting the ladies room. Toilets not flushed, someone had sprinkled on the floor and covered it in tissues, tissue all over the floors. Just needs to be checked every so often.

Good value for money but a little rowdy if you pick the wrong time of day. I particularly enjoy the chicken burgers and the thick and yummy milkshakes.

My main dib with why i won't return to places is the staff. Got served by a lovely lady, but then realised it was all a bit rushed but bless her, she was lovely! got to getting our food, I simply asked for some mayo, got no eye contact back, and got the mayo sachets dumped hard into my hand, with no, thanks, bye, enjoy or NOTHING. Got to eat our food and only got the burger drink and chips and no sides.

I am a fan and a addict of KFC, and so are my kids (Not something to be proud of). This is one of the few KFCs that we can visit, due to it serving Halal food. However, out of the 10 times that i have visited, i have always found problems like cold food. I had complained multiple times, and had even written emails to KFC, but it seems that they really donot care about the customers. I have since decided to goto Macdonalds, as they serve food with better quality.My suggestion is to keep away from this outlet, unless you are really hungry or are there in busy times. Never ever try to do a take away late night, as they always serve cold food.

Always visit this whenever i am in town.Quality food with fast servise.Food is halal which is a positive point for enhancing business.always packed but nice.

It is nice to have a Halal KFC in reading, this restaurant is in the town centre, there is no parking, a small tip, if you go after 7PM there is a side road were you can park for free as the restriction are lifted after 7pm. the restaurant is very dated and needs a fresh new look, but the food is great, the only problem was the drink, as this did not taste right, service was fast with a great smile, did not have to pay for the sauces, over all a nice treat to have compared to all those other chicken places have popped up that have more oil than chicken.
