Oil too dirty for chips. I had take away on Friday. Need to change cooking oil everytime. Customer service was not that bad..

I've never written a bad review in my life but need to warn people. If i could give a minus star i would. I actually think the staff are stealing by putting higher prices through the till. I asked the girl serving if they were still serving the lunch time deals. She said no. It was 2 pm i then saw the deal was on till 3pm. A guy took over to serve me. I asked how many strips come in a meal he said how many do you want ? I said i want to know what the set meals are! He then charged me nearly £14 for 4 strips a side and chips no drink. I asked if that was right and he said yes. I can now see there is a 4 strip meal for under £10.

they put the meals through as large without asking plus my boneless box meal was just thrown in without packaging with the dip missing

I came for my tea today with my family. We ordered our food at the self-service computer and then waited to the side for our food. We wait 15mins and still no one had called our number out and was still waiting in prep. There was lots of just eat people coming and going and I said to my husband this can't be right. So I approached the man behind the counter to ask him where our food was as we had been waiting 15mins for him to say ull have to wait for your number to be shouted, I then said I am not waiting any longer and asked for a refund. The manager then came over and asked what the problem was I then explained to him and the work colleague then said he never told me to wait he said he had already shouted out my number and we didn't reply so the food went else where. The manager looked on system to see our food order was way back and hadn't been prepared like they said so he did it ignoring the fact I'd asked for my money back. At this time I was to hungry to argue anymore. He apologised and I took the food. I won't be coming back to this KFC in a hurry. It's poor service, poor management, lack of them work and only wants to deliver for just eat orders. This KFC should be on online order service for just eat and not a restaurant!!! Avoid

Went through the drive through for 2 chicken burgers and there was no que. Told to park up and they will bring in 2 mins. 10 min later had to go in and collect,and was given 2 cold burgers that had been sat on the side. Had to argue to get new hot ones. Terrible customer servce.

Chicken very dry like it's had been stood in the warmer all day. Staff not very friendly would not recommend this restaurant. A shame really as i love a good kfc

Called in for lunch whilst shopping. The restaurant was clean and tidy and hand sanitizer was available to use on entry to the restaurant. Food quality was very good . Table service was offered on the self service machines but was not give by the restaurant.

I have to admit to having a few beers and reaching that inexplicable stage when only a few pieces of overcooked, over oiled and under flavoured pieces of chicken would satiate mine and my fellow imbibers cravings. So I put in an order via Just Eat for a 10pc variety bucket with 4 mini fillets, 8 hot wings a large gravy and some corn cobs (it was for a few of us..) Got a call from a lost deliverer and went to the front of the drive to find a long distance runner slowly hoving into view from approx a quarter mile away. he handed over the goods and we exchanged pleasantries. The order felt and looked okay. Only when I got in did I find that the only items in the bag were 3 fillets, a small portion of chips, some chicken 'popcorn' and 3 cans of coke who's function was purely ballast. Under extreme pressure from a hungry household, I called the Middlebrook outlet to ask them to redeliver. Dan, who was most unhelpful told me they were closed, that I should contact Just Eat and may (may...) get a refund within 14 days. I asked him to contact the delivery person - his response was - a) What did he look like (out of breath and lost) and; b) that he couldn't contact him anyway as they didn't have his number. Apparently they 'outsource' delivery to a third party who are uncontactable and to whom they have no control over whatsoever.... So a crappy experience from KFC and Just Eat - The money was taken out of my account instantly, yet I have to go through some kind of adjudication process to get my money back. If it isn't back in my account by Monday, I think I will issue a county court summons against both parties. Why is service mostly s**t nowadays?

Place was filthy particularly the loos. Tables were not cleared but it wasn’t too busy staff just hanging around. Ordered a 10 piece bucket and it was barely like warm when it arrived. With the cold chicken dirty floor, table and toilets that was enough and we asked for a refund. The manager just didn’t care and gave us money back. She clearly wasn’t interested in the franchise, the reputation, the training or the profit.

My favourite fast food outlet and usually very very good but I'm afraid this didn't live up to expectations. All covid precautions were in place but the chicken pieces were"wet" and not crunchy as I'm used too. I'll still try again but perhaps not this branch.

I have given up going here after moving to the area a couple of years ago.Dry, shrivelled up chicken that has been held WAY over the standard times ... Soggy fries - Change your friggin oil.Understaffed and little to no attention to the dinning area ... All bins were full (again) .... Tables and chairs dirty and had to wipe down ourselves (again).Customer service (at the point of service) was the only thing I would say they had right but I think that’s more down to the individuals than the store.Horrible place.

I ordered the food then received the food, brought the food to the table and noticed that the drinks had been forgotten. I walked up to the counter and asked for the drinks?, replied with "i'm doing them". The member of staff then stared at me, i then said, "have I jumped the gun"? The member of staff then said, "don't speak to me like that". I responded by saying, "I'm sorry I wasn't meaning to be rude". The member of said "OK". I found this encounter to be an odd one, no please, thank you or sorry, just rude behaviour. I later asked for the manager and explained what had happened, she simply said "OK then", again no apologies or solutions. The food was decent enough to be fair but the attitude of the staff is really bad. I don't expect much just basic manners and people skills which this place is clearly lacking. Looking through the abysmal reviews on here which are drawn out over a long period of time shows that KFC isn't doing anything to fix this problem. I will talk with my feet and not spend any of my money here again.

Drive Thru at this particular KFC branch is the worst.Common Sense needs to prevail here - if only.Come-on folks if your customers are ordering food provide napkins, cutlery and hand wipes - I do not need to ask!!!One drink with 3 straws ‍♂️There may be a Brexit happening and a media drive for plastic reduction but be attentive at all times and look presentable.Branch Manager take note!

This kfc is an absolute disgrace, dirty, overflowing bins. Staff not trained properly, dont think they have ever got an order of mine correct! I would like to know why there havent been any improvements when there are so many people complaining. Do KFC staff/management ever read the reviews?

As the last reviewer put it, don't go there if you think you're going to get your food fast. We were the only people waiting for food and were easily outnumbered by blank faced staff, staring inanely, from behind the counter, showing about as much interest in our service as you might expect from the unfortunate chickens themselves!13 minute wait for chicken fillets, chips and chicken portions, maybe they'd not expected a rush on.Food was pretty awful, the chicken tasted of old burnt oil, which I'm not convinced is how Colonel Sanders imagined it, all those years ago. The chicken was dry, the chips were cold, the dips in their sealed containers were ok.I'm fairly certain that no one goes to KFC for a Michelin star experience, so sometimes you feel hard pressed to complain or it's too difficult or you just can't be arsed, but seriously, try Nandos across the road!!

I had ordered a LARGE popcorn meal and wrap meal. the order was delivered two hours after the order was placed. When we received our meal we were given practically five chips in each packet and the order came as a small popcorn meal rather than a large. The meal was freezing cold when we unpacked it. We have been completely put off our meal. We tried to ring multiple times and no one had picked up or got back to us. We are completely appalled.

Ordered a bacon n cheese burger to take away got home no bacon no ketchup no receipt... disappointed

Every time I go into kfc in middlebrook I leave thinking I why do I bother.Walk in and about ten people waiting for their orders, tables not cleared or cleaned. I know it's not the staffs fault, as every time I go in they seem under staffed so the staff that are in are run ragged.

Every time we visit we say we won’t come back but here we are again! Food is overpriced (£6.49 for a 4 piece boneless dips meal? McDonald’s next door is much better value!), meals are poorly put together, original chicken pieces were tiny, had to go back for the small popcorn chicken because it had been forgotten (and my god it was small - 2 inches tall for £2), no napkins so people were going to the toilets to wipe their hands and the tables are dirty - covered in drops of gravy and crumbs. I actually saw someone wiping the table with a wet wipe before they sat down! This time, we really won’t be coming back!

I don’t know where to begin! Someone needs to sort out this place, the restaurant was an absolute mess, food was everywhere, bins were overflowing and the staff didn’t care. I will not be going there again.

Terrible drive through service - not busy but pitifully slow. Ordered 5 items - two were wrong in the bag and they charged extra for a drink that was neither ordered nor supplied. Never again

As McDonalds is currently closed we had no option other have KFC to feed the little one. We have never tried a kids KFC meal before but were pleasantly surprised.

So we went here for some dinner before the football, there was 2 people in front of us we ordered on the self service machine straight away and 20 minutes later we finally got our cold, poorly made food and a flat coke. Never will we come here again

Went to drive through wuth my daughter and 2 children what a performance!!! Que was ridiculous took us ages to get to order then after placed it qued again only to receive greasy chips and chivken looked like warmed up!!!! The inside of the premises was dirty and with few people in most of the interior areas were in a horrible condition. The food was luke warm and little of it for the price charged.

Shop was filthy no clean tables. Food was cold. The bins were over flowing and disgusting. Staff were behind the counter and chatting not even cleaning the tables it was disgusting.The customer service was terrible.

I went for a peaceful dinner with my father as we got of the disgusting welcome mat at the door it was like we had stepped on Blackburn ice skating rink I mean even the tables and chairs were slippy what do you clean them with ?

Went through the drive through 2 times this evening due to food being cold. We went through straight away to ask for our food hot and we still reciebed it cold. Boxes and packaging was freezing and the woman at the window was rude. We watched her throw our food into the boxes. They clearly could not be bothered. And nothing worse than ice cold chicken, it felt raw. Will not be returning ever again and has probably but myself and the people I was with off KFC completely.

Every time I go KFC. drive through, they get my order wrong. How difficult is it. Three variety meals two piece meals and one plain burger box meal. By the time I got home and checked we had two variety meals and the burger had lettuce and mayo all over it. When I made the order she even repeated it after me “so that’s no lettuce or mayo”. To be honest I felt sorry for the girl she was taking orders, boxing up the meals and taking payment. The queue for the drive through was right round the building. But having said that I don’t think I’ve ever been there and they have got it right. I normally check it but because of the queue I didn’t. I’m Disappointed in KFC AGAIN.

Fast food ? We queued for 10 mins to order; then waited for 10 mins after ordering before our order was ready ..... I don't know if it was our order as there were about 20 people waiting and a girl just shouted out a meal that sounded like mine so I took it - no checks. Most of the time you couldn't hear her or not understand what she was saying - some people who had been waiting before me were still there after we'd eaten.

Each staff member had a scowl on their faces, Rudely served all customers with a disgusting attitude! Very bad mannered! Food was barely warm and violently thrown chicken in to the box and gravy pot was only filled half way! Need a change of staff immediately!

Came to KFC middlebrook for something to eat the wait to be served was disgusting as there only seemed to be one person serving although several people were just standing around doing nothing, as I went to a table I had to clean it myself as I was sat there I noticed that other people were doing the same . when the food came most of it was cold so God knows when it was cooked. My advice is to avoid it like the plague

All the family love Kentucky, if it was more reiable , we would use more often. Unfortunately you never know what availability will be or how long you will need to wait.

found the service a bit slow and amateurish for an evening visit,seemed they were clearing up with hours to go till closing time,However all this forgiven for the piping hot chicken portions we received!probably the most tasty,moist chicken and KFC seasoning we have had for a long long time.I'd ordered 3 pieces with fries,chicken pieces seemed to be bigger than at my local branch,could only manage 2,took the other home!

Visited this KFC with my son, ordered the food and sat by the window. The window sill was full of running Ants, filthy place. We discarded our food in the bin and asked to speak to the manager.

Very limited menu due to still having supplier issues, couldn’t get what I wanted and neither could my friends. Posters announcing this at side and asking not to blame the staff, we did not, however it would be nice if they did crack a smile or offer an alternative when they cannot fulfil your order. Chicken burger & chips were not hot.

This has to be the worst KFC I have ever been to. We waited for 15 minutes for our food once we'd ordered. There were no yoghurts for the kids meals. Most of the food was cold. The chicken tasted cheap and the texture of it was horrible.

This place is a disgrace! It was completely empty when we visited, the only other person in the restaurant was a member of staff sat filling in some paperwork. Every single table was dirty and the floor was covered in food.

Kfc clean up your act I don't want to look at this while eating at a table we had to clean ourself.. Also get the order right, twice we had to go back to the counter as things were missing.

Been here several times now though the drive through, collected our order and drove off to somewhere more quieter as the car park is always busy only to find that there is ALWAYS something wrong! Either beans instead of gravy, wrong drinks or small instead of large you can be sure that something will be wrong!

Went during the week, we usually just use the drive thru, but decided to eat in this time. Tables filthy, floor filthy, but what was most irritating was the sour faced staff, no smiles, no manners and lack of bother. I work with customers myself, a smile and pleasant attitude goes a long way, and it's free! Sour faces don't look good. The place wasn't busy, fact it was teatime and very quiet, yet staff stood around talking and the place dirty & needing tables wiped etc. Think a more mature senior staff member may have been required to keep things in check.

Yet again, this place continues to get it wrong. Ordered take away, arrive home, and guess what, no chips. Not...

visited here yesterday for my child's birthday his choice as it's his favourite I've been to many of these restaurants...

if you want chicken go nowhere else other than kfc, cant beat the colonels recipe or chicken gravy, yum yum

As soon as we arrived I should have realised judging by the gangs of teenagers including the muppets behind the counter. How can there be a 30 min delay for food when no customers are there, I often wonder how these places stay open judging by all the terrible reviews on here, personally I don't think the franchise owners read these reviews

Clean and the food was hot, only issue were groups of youngsters using the place to charge up mobile phones whilst cursing alot

I love it here! Terrific food, always freshly prepared and the staff are really friendly and polite. Could probably be cheaper but the food is definitely worth it.

We used the drive through as we were in a hurry. The serving staff were hopeless, everything was too much trouble and associated with huffing and puffing like a disgruntled teenager. We got no paper towels, salt or pepper or wet wipes. The server didn't know the menu and couldn't offer suggestions when various things were said to be unavailable. Won't visit again whether in a hurry or not.

My wife and I with our grandson went to the cinema, on the back of the ticket there was an offer for chicken burger and fries for £2.49 and a free ice cream. KFC was really full after the cinema release.Food was very good and hot, not something that my wife would normally have but our grandson loved it. Yes we would go again it was very clean and the the staff where very polite and helpful.

Went into the restaurant today and had to use the toilets first. Floor all the way to the toilet thick with grease and slippy.Toilets:Light in ladies cubicle not working so don't know where you are peeing, missing a part from the flush button.Restaurant:Again floor extremely slippy with grease.Tables full of rubbish No clean tables availableTables not seen a cloth for a long period of time.Behind the counter full of chips and grease all over the floor.Bins full to the brim.I informed the staff and they were moaning about who would be realised for lobby duties. Someone come out and found it more important to top up the condiments rather than getting a mop and cloth! A customer actually got up and demanded his table to be wiped.Since I've eaten there I've had bad stomach ache, don't eat here go elsewhere wish I'd of done.If the store manager does want to get in touch feel free because it's very clear there are no standards and no audits being carried out.

We always pick this KFC as the Staff are friendly and rarely get your meal mixed up. They allow you to exchange chips for sides. You get great chicken and always add spicy wings great value

I wanted a meal before the game everywhere was busy but I chose KFC it was packed but they delt with people so calmly and only waited ten minutes which was good as was about 30 orders beening done at the same time.The food was cooked great and nothing was a miss and staff made sure I was happy.I eaten outside as was very busy as was match day as I eaten my food saw member of staff cleaning and helping people was nice to see a well run ship.

This is my local KFC and I have been many times in my lifetime. This KFC is known for being very unclean. In the last few years this KFC has been done up so it looks more modern. The staff are usually quite rude with odd exceptions. The krushem machine almost always doesn't work. I would just like to add that in the past the chicken has had a strange chemical taste as if chicken was put on a freshly cleaned surface. As well as this the staff never fill the Pepsi to the top and it sometimes tastes a little flat.

This is always a busy place to go and therefore it follows that the food will always be fresh and hot. You don't always get a smile here but I suppose that's not what I go for.

I feel cheated that I have to give this place a rating at all, never in my life have I come across more stupid staff ever, first time I went they didn't even have any chicken the last time I went was in the drive through after two minutes of talking to a post with an idiot who couldn't hear me I drove to the window to place my order to be told I have to order at the bloody post that's right the one were they cant hear you, so I asked the idiot who takes the order at the post and she said I do. you can shove your kfc were the sun don't shine

Really not that hard to clean the place it was dead and still filthy !! No excuse at all there was enough staff on so surely someone can spare some time to clean !! Disgusting !!

Been here a couple of times now but wont return. Kfc is what it is and id expect it to be the same in every location but this one is particularly awful. I dont think they ever clean the tables. Even at quieter times. The place is pretty much empty yet every single table is filthy. I also wouldnt class this place as fast food as i always end up waiting and waiting. Most of the staff are not very friendly either. Theres a couple of nice ones who provide hood customer service but on the whole they all seem miserable

Friday morning around 11.30am, walked in pretty empty got served right away by a friendly member of staff who was dressed clean and tidy.Sat down with order to find fries overcooked and cold… chicken piece was also overcooked. Was going to return back to the counter but several people were now waiting so didn’t bother.Restaurant itself is clean and tidy, but food not worth the money paid for.Disappointing visit this time.

Stopped for lunch, chicken was cooked well, gravy was tasty. Fries were OK but not great, a bit cold to be honest maybe I should have ate them first. Service was good, queue moved fast.

Quality of KFC around the World are quite stable and good, so when you are in a hurry and hungry, and easy place to get your chicken!

They seem to be on a clamp down with handing out serviettes for customers and dips. What happened did you overspend on the budget?They have removed the ‘help yourself’ serviettes from the counter and now count them themselves and put them on your tray with your order. It really is degrading to ask for more!The same with the dips, ask for a dip and they check your order to see if you are entitled to a free dip, and you get just ONE!This was my favourite KFC in Bolton, I would travel over 2 miles to visit it, but recently the service has become very bad.Two weeks ago Friday lunch time, I walked in and they were practically queuing outside the door, and there was just one till out of four on… Yes, ONE till… this is really not acceptable at lunch time. Eventually they opened another till, but only when I had almost reached the end of the queue and after a 10 minute + wait.May I suggest you sort it out, otherwise people will start to think you do not want customers coming back!

I went to the KFC at Middlebrook for the first time last night. The place was spotless the person who served me was help personified. I said that I am not usually offered mayo dips at the one on St Helens Road in Bolton, she offered me a choice of mayo dips and really did make my visit enjoyable. The service was fairly fast and nothing was to much trouble for her. I do not make a habit of eating fast food but when I do I want to enjoy it. the food was really good and crunchy and crispy and fresh. I will certainly go back there again.

Very dirty tables and floors every time I've been in over last few years. Decided after this week's visit will not go again. I can see most people agree it's disgusting and staff look depressed.

I visited on Monday 25th July approximately 11am in the hope of having a meal and spending some time with a coffee or two.I honestly could not wait to get out of the place, in fact the moment I walked in, I should have walked out…The food was fine, no problems there, the background noise (which in effect is supposed to be background noise!) was turned up so loud I thought I had stepped into a nightclub! I did consider asking for a manager in order for it to be turned down, but I couldn’t be bothered, clearly the staff didn’t care – If I had been working there with that noise playing, I’d wanted my boss to provide me with a pair of earplugs! Some poor employee – probably a shift manager was actually trying to work in one corner on a laptop! I watched a few people come and go, and could clearly see they too wondered why the music was turned up so high, so it was not just me.I was in there for approximately 45 minutes and about 5 minutes before I left, someone (thank god) turned down the volume a fraction!There’s loud and there’s loud, and clearly KFC is NOT the kind of place people want to hear music which is played at such a volume.I left, and bought my extra coffee elsewhere on the Middlebrook Retail Park where it was a little quieter!I like KFC, I cannot lie but this KFC at Middlebrook in Horwich is not one I frequent very often. It took 15 minutes to get my food from ordering from a that didn't look to bothered about his hygiene . With the amount of time it took to get my food you would expect it to be somewhat freshly cooked or hot but no it was freezing. Arrived at 12.45pm prior to going to the nearby cinema. My wife found one clean table (it was the table for the disabled, of which she qualifies). In the half hour we were there I observed 4 diners cleaning the tables with napkins. One member of staff walked past a gentleman who was doing this, pushed a chair in, and disappeared into the staff area. She didn't appear again. The food wasn't up to much either. Not a patch on the Chorley outlet. Will not be dining here again.

A shocking experience. I took a chap with a learning disability here for tea today. The place was a shambles. Customers were kept waiting - with one member of staff serving, and three others goofing around in the back.The cutlery area was empty of forks etc. and filled with grime and detritus. All the tables were covered in grease, crumbs, and trays of rubbish. Napkins had run out, so a roll of grubby wiping down paper was on the counter to use. The food itself was sad looking and sort of 'deflated'. The chicken was a tiny bit under-cooked.I will call Environmental health tomorrow.

I was totally shocked on just how disgusting this place was. As a chain of a very major fast food outlet, you expect a consistent level.Tables were covered in rubbish, and the floor had so much food, straw wrappers and paper plates that it must have accumulated over time.Looking around all you could see were people clearing tables, and wiping them down so they could sit there.The food. Chips were cold, not even Luke warm, just stone cold. The chicken was the greasiest I've ever had.KFC if you have any pride in your brand then this outlet should be closed down.

Paid for 2 fillet with cheese , got home no cheese . Meal thrown inbox . Chicken cold . Customer service poor . After asking the price , guy said " drive to window to find out " why not tell me ????

7 of us went in before going to watch Star Wars in December. The place was so dirty it put us off our food. The bins were overflowing, tables had rubbish on, the floors were filthy. The toilets also where horrible and there was no toilet roll. There was no excuse considering there was barely anyone in there. It has genuinely put me off ever eating kfc again

Walked in today, 24/01/16, about 6 empty tables all full of rubbish. Bin overflowing with rubbish and all on the floor near the bin. It's a filthy place.Walked back out!!!

we have taken our grandson twice & both times its been a bit unkept, food & paper alover floor i emailed head office was told they will look into it

KFC the family standby when you want a more than calorie counted January meal!Find it reasonably good value. My son particularly likes the gravy as an add on side order

Rude staff Dirty staff. Terrible management. Absolutely appalling management. Visited on a week day yesterday. No chicken as they've not got any flour. They'd also not got any zingers available for ten minutes. Extremely dirty till service operator can't have washed his hands all night. I genuinely can't understand how KFC can allow this place to keep going as it is. Anyone who visits knows it's substandard to the highest level. Sadly after visiting for years, for convenience, it's easily the worst KFC in the UK. And it's all down to the utterly appalling staff and lack of any visible management talent or ability. Shocking and needs to be checked by environmental health. A place this dirty can't be safe.

I tried the wrap and it was disgusting.My fault, should have stuck to chicken and chips. Those were fine, All new unusual things were not good.

Order my meal and my friends as well. One minute saying theres nothing in for my friends meal next minute they are saying its in really.Everything we asked for they didnt seem to have in stock including diet pop and it was peak time. Rude staff, Really they need a better team plus better people to talk properly plus more kindly as well. Really this has to be the worst experience at this KFC ever im never coming back again. No one do not visit this place they also gave me a dirty tray as well for my friends food and wouldnt give use a fresh clean one. Having waited for a long time for our food, it came cold and overcooked.

25 minute que to be served.Cold food when you do get it.Stale fries when you get them.No napkins.Filthy toilets.Rude and unresponsive staff.Needs closing and a right good sorting out in our humble opinion.

Staff are rude, restaurant is dirty, orders are seldom correct, always running out of items and the food is dry and overlooked.

Reluctantly called at KFC Middlebrook, Horwich for take away for daughter. I say reluctantly because last time I had a meal at this KFC both the service and food was diabolical and I said I would never go again. Well, no improvement, the staff, the food, the service has gone from bad to worse. Avoid unless you have crawled out of a desert and have not eaten for a month. The picture is of the excuse for gravy they offered me. Say no more!!!

I visited here with my friend, staff were a little vacant & looked a little bored to be at work. when we received our food the chicken was very hot, beans & gravy boiling, chips cold.

Just been in the Derby Street branch in Bolton and your manager Chole was so rude to me and my family. Disgraceful member of staff who should be fired. Don't eat there.

Food was OK,service could have been better. Staff didn't smile it was as if he was reading from a script, very robotic. The food was OK, gravy was cold but we had it changed and it was lovely.

Called here last night, trip hazard on entering building as the rubber mat was gathered up, only 2 people in front of me in the queue so I thought I wouldn't be waiting long..until the girl in front told me that she had been waiting around 15 minutes already, only 1 boy and 1 girl serving and making up the orders, took me 10 minutes to get to the counter..but I walked away with my order in less than 2 minutes, but the order was wrong..I was given 2 fries instead of one, wasn't sure if I had been charged for 2 fries as I wasn't given a receipt, there was no-one clearing/cleaning the tables and the place looked a tornado had just blown through, no fresh wipes available in the outlets either.Very Disappointing and Very Unprofessional..get your act together Colonel!
