Not ideal. The staff seem literally devoid of what a counter is or a till for that matter. When you wait at the counter there were 2 members of staff chatting but constantly facing away from the customer and desperate not to acknowledge. They will talk through the holes where they await they food but give zero attention to any customer waiting to be served. Noticed some delivery drivers were desperately trying nicely to get their attention as they'd prepared their orders but just slid them to the side without handing them over. All the while that poor customers food is going cold whilst they blatantly ignore customers and drivers at the counter. I've never been so gobsmacked.marsh Mills doesn't operate like this so that's why I'm so surprised and felt compelled to write this. Its zero customer service and seems to be young kids who've just started out in work who literally do not want to interact with the paying customer. Or interact with the delivery drivers who are trying to do a job for that matter

Came here as had nothing to eat since we had spent a few hours in the nearby hospital in A&E and this was the closest place to get something to eat. From the car park it looked like the place was closed as all the lights were off inside. However, as I walked towards the store, the internal lights magically came on. The inside of the store looked like a skip - you know, the sort that you leave waste in. There was litter and food strewn everywhere and trying to find a half clean table was quite a challenge. We used the self service food ordering system, which at one point asked us to pick up an object with a weird name that made no sense and which was nowhere to be found. I approached the counter where the only girl on duty was busy laughing and joking with colleagues. I called her about five times, eventually almost shouting to attract her attention. She was so 'busy' laughing and joking that she had no idea that there were customers in the store. Anyway, the food took a few minutes, which was not a problem. As for the food, KFCs new chips are no better than their old chips and are just as poor. They were also warm, not hot. The rest of the food was reasonable, although I am sure that the fillet burgers have got smaller. The box mine was in had an old tomato pip stuck to it. I would only eat here again in case of emergency, such as a visit to A&E in the evening. I like KFC, but this is the worst one I have ever visited. Even worse than the one that had a pigeon flying around inside and being ignored by the staff. In all the time that we were there (about 30 minutes), nobody cleared any of the litter, or cleaned any tables. Although we did clear out table away, it did seem a fairly pointless exercise and I do wonder if clearing tables disincentivises the staff from actually cleaning the restaurant at all. Beware, if you eat here, the place might resemble a messy teenager's bedroom.

Great portion of chicken but portion of chips was very small and not hot on delivery, I wouldn't use delivery from them again, it wasn't easy to place the order as would only accept debit card, I was using credit card as my account was in credit, I won't be using them again

After a heavy Sunday at work I didn't feel like cooking. We went to KFC as a family, ordered the big party bucket. Out of the 14 pieces of chicken, 6 of them were still raw in the middle. The chips had some awful spicy coating which gave me an allergic reaction. The little girl behind the counter said that's how our chips are served now. I asked for plain chips, took her 10 mins to find out if I could have them. I did get them. The ladies toilets were a mini swimming pool. Water, mud and an unknown substance all over the floor, paper towels thrown around. Could use the toilet. All in all I doubt we'll be going to KFC any time soon.

We visited the KFC after I had to attend the ED at derriford. I had my arm in a sling and my daughter, who is disabled walks with a crutch. So for this reason we chose table service. There was the usual amount of noise, and we could not hear very well the orders being called. But we weren't overly worried as we had requested table service. After a while it was clear that there was no table service! I went up to the counter to enquire and was told quite rude that there was no table service?! I tried to explain we were both a bit awkward hence the request for table service! The lady I spoke was rude and quite frankly didn't care if we got our food. The younger lady was very helpful and sorted out our order promptly and efficiently. She apologised for the delay. The other woman who was possibly a ' manager, I use the term loosely! Her cleaning skills were quite something to behold! To clear a table she simply swept any debris onto the floor, the cleaning cupboards were slammed shut and then left with doors flapping open! Luckily no one was hurt! Absolutely disgusting certainly won't be visiting this KFC again 😒 🤬🤬

Slow, tables not being cleared and dirty. After eating our meal which was not all that brilliant. Went back to try something else stood like a lemon waiting to be served they saw me there and never served. So walked out not bothering. Also the main part of the meal was barely warm. Wasted just over £20.00.Place has gone down hill. Won't be back

Very sad how KFC has gone downhill so much especially at this store.We purchased 2 Colonel meals and on getting home we’re disgusted at the size of the chicken we had 2 drumsticks and 2 what appeared to be chicken nuggets which measured 50cm across not even hot and chips Luke warm and we don’t live far away from the alleged restaurant. Trying to contact this outlet is virtually impossible as always no one available needless to say won’t be returning.NOT RECOMMENDED

My Family went for me, and I wish they didn’t. I wanted 3 pieces of Chicken, but when they got home(20mins later) the skin was rock hard. I had 2 very small drumsticks and 1 small thigh. Will not be going to KFC again. The restaurant was empty, but the Chicken must have been there for hours.

We nipped in & ordered some food. Every available table & chair was filthy. We cleaned our own table & waited for our order. Maybe they were short staffed? However if they were, maybe the management couldn’t put a sign up explaining this & everyone would have understood. However, there’s no excuse for poor hygiene. Food served quickly. Yeah, we were given the wrong dips which isn’t the end of the world considering the state of this place! The server was very pleasant when I asked to swap the dips. Luckily the chicken tasted great. Shame the gravy was like water. I used the male bathroom just before we left & I really wish I hadn’t. The wet floor sign laying in the floor really helped to trip you up & you can tell these toilets are definitely not checked regularly. My daughter said the ladies bathroom was the same & her door wouldn’t even lock! Definitely won’t be using this place again!

Absolutely horrific service, slowest ‘fast food’ I’ve ever experienced I’ve been served in restaurants quicker than here, just all round terrible service and time management wouldn’t recommend visiting, worth driving too another kfc would still be quicker

Utter rubbish. Ordered a variety bucket- items missing- chicken cold and overcooked. Returned to get missing items and was told on the phone the bucket would be replaced. Waited another 20 mins in the line at drive thru was told I would not get the food replaced u less I had it with me. - it what I was told on the phone. Very disappointed and a waste of money. Had a takeout for my grandsons birthday and was very disappointed with the food and the service given when we complained. The food looked like it was refried and extremely salty . . . We were also missing some of the order that one of the family had to go back for. Very disappointed I wouldn't go again

Ordered the colonel 4 piece and they gave me 3 drum sticks and a thigh. That's a deliberate rip off there's no way they didn't do that on purpose and this happened last time so I won't be returning.

Waited in the queue for the drive through, only to be told it was cash only and I needed to go inside to order to pay by card, this wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't queued for 15 mins. Then had to queue again for the car in front to pick up their food. When I asked why there wasn't a sign to tell the customers before they queued, I would have parked up and got my food. I was told they weren't allowed to put up signs! Oh well the macdonalds was nice! Shoddy customer service, not from the staff but the company.

Ordered with just eat and did not get all of our order missing popcorn chicken which was what the kids wanted most. Rang up and KFC and was told to just get a refund from just eat. This proved difficult and didn't solve the problem of feeding the family. Won't use again after this disregard for their customers.

Called in after a Derriford trip. Everything in our order was correct and tasty. Nice coffee. Only down side was that the area around our seat was filthy with chips and chicken squashed into the floor. Suprising as there was only 3 people in there so staff could have easily cleaned up. I suspect no cleaning takes place until just before they close.

Not very good customer service. When we finally received our food it was cold not only that we received the wrong food.

6 Staff packed behind the counter, touching each other to get past. Too many customers waiting for orders crammed in like sardines, even being told to get closer together so they can take more orders. Nobody ensuring test and trace code is scanned. Tables filthy and not being cleaned between customers. Ordering screens not being cleaned. Opened my box meal to find everything covered in ketchupy fingerprints. I put my food straight into the bin. This place is dangerous, not following the rules, and I will be reporting it to the council.

Habíamos visitado el establecimiento en las últimas 24 horas y qué infierno. Después de un largo día, todo lo que quieres hacer es comer una comida caliente. . conseguimos que no! Cada vez que visitamos, siempre ha sido tarde y no sé si es porque la Administración no está presente, pero tienen la música de los establecimientos muy alta, por lo que ni siquiera puedes tener una conversación, ¡mucho menos escucharte a ti mismo pensar!La comida estaba helada y las patatas fritas sabían como si se hubieran dejado durante un tiempo y luego metidas en el microondas. ¡No había servilletas y apenas había pajitas, etc.!Definitivamente no volveremos allí!

Vivo localmente, pero nunca había visitado, pero imaginé algo rápido y, al pasar, pensamos en probarlo. Fuimos a las 10 de la noche un sábado por la noche (familia de 5) y fuimos las únicas personas que fueron recibidas por 'clientes de eurgh'. Todo el restaurante estaba sucio, no había servilletas ni popotes para los clientes y no recibimos ninguno cuando los pedimos. Los asistentes a la caja registradora ni siquiera nos miraron cuando pedimos y tuvimos una cara de hambre todo el tiempo: ¿cómo nos atrevemos a entrar en un restaurante de comida rápida y pedir comida, verdad? ! También recibió Coca-Cola insípida y cuando se les informó que no podían molestarse en cambiar el jarabe, me dijeron que no había más Coca-Cola. Tal vez quiera repensar la gestión de un turno de sábado por la noche, ya que fue horrible.

Ordenamos en la pantalla de autoservicio y mientras mi compañero esperaba unos 20 minutos en el mostrador de nuestra comida, fui a buscar un lugar para sentarme. Tomó un tiempo ya que, aunque había muchas mesas disponibles, cada una estaba cubierta con trozos de comida y líquido, que también se extendían para cubrir los asientos y los pisos. Mi única esperanza era que esto fuera agua. Una vez que me senté, pude ver que esto no se limitaba a una sola área, pero parecía que toda la tienda no se había limpiado en 3 días. We have eaten here twice. Our second visit was on strength of our first which was very good. Sadly our second visit was poles apart. The coating on the chicken was soggy and greasy and the chicken inside was pink and unedable, the chips were not nice either. We won't be giving it another chance as I don't know what to expect.

Bizarrely, 5 Plymouth restaurants were too full to fit in 3 un-booked guests. This was odd for a Thursday evening. In desperation, we saw a KFC & went in. It was nearly empty, which should have sounded a warning bell. Their signature dish, crispy fried original chicken was a greasy mess & most certainly was not crispy. We'll not be back....ever.

Poor Quality - popped into the drive thru after a dog walk ordered 3 mini fillets - 2 out of the 3 had newly defrosted (very cold) burger buns!

Really dried up chicken and the fries????? omg what have they done?? Normal chips which taste awful. the whole meal was very poor, wont be going again.

Chicken was average, still selling the awful fries, didn’t like them and just threw them away, why they changed from the nice original fries I’ll never know. Next time probably go to Pizza Hut which is next door!

Had a bargain bucket for family lunch. Some of the chicken did not seem to have been cooked properly. The fries have changed and are horrible! Pizza Hut next time!

Girlfriend found a shard of sharp plastic in her dirty Louisiana burger. I reported it to the staff who swiftly took the piece of plastic away so no photos. Not even an apology from the manager however replaced the burger

It can be busy so you might have to queue, but as we always need extra time to decide what we want that is not so bad. Staff seemed interested, order was right and the chicken was finger licking good ...

Poor KFC, seemed really disorganised and chaotic. Queued again as order incomplete and no drinks, but had to wait as others in front also asking for missing items. Food quality poor will not be returning.

KFC is my guilty pleasure... and I would not usually write a review of a fast food chain. However this place is a disgrace to the colonels good name and whoever is running it should be taken to task. The place is a sloppily run dirty eyesore serving carelessly thrown together bad food. Horrible in every way.

Hot on the heels of the “no chips” debacle, tonight was “no drinks” night. Asked for two crushems only to be told there were no crushems available. So far, so normal. Was then told there were no soft drinks at all. Or milk for the hot drinks. Or chilli dips for that matter. Was then asked what I wanted to drink, and had to point out to the server that they had nothing to give me to drink! Having sat down to eat our dry meal, I then approached the server and asked how two customers had just been served with crushems when there were none left. Was then asked which customers, in spite of the fact that they were stood to the left of me in plain view. Once the server had worked out which guys I was talking about (there was a slight clue going on in that they were the only two people in the gaff with drinks and they were stood facing him from a distance of less than 6 feet), I was told that they had had the last two. When I queried how two were left after I was told there were none available, I got a shrug of the shoulder. Not sure how kfc survive when the average age of the staff is 12 and the level of customer service is on a par with the level of stock.

Ate in the restaurant late on a Wednesday. Staff were not rude, but unprofessional and more interested in having a laugh and a joke with each other than actually doing their job. We waited ages for our food, and have no idea why considering it was all cold when we got it. You can see the fries lying on the side that have obviously been there for hours, stone cold. On top of this, it is supposed to be open until 11pm on a weekday as per the sign outside and the KFC website, but they closed the front door and were locking up by 10. Would definitely recommend the extra 10 min drive to go to the Mutley or St Budeaux one.

Yet another epic KFC fail, shockingly poor quality chicken, spent most of my time picking bits of bone ,tendons out of each mouthful, this food isn't even fit for a third world country .

Just been to off in derriford and the service was spook slow it was a joke. Ordered food and waited. Missing chips and drinks from the order chips were stone cold. Took long enough to get missing items i couldn't be bothered to complain. Wanted to get icecream after but the que was so long and slow moving we didn't bother

I used to be a big fan of KFC but last three or four visits (Towerfied Business Park, by B&Q;) have changed my opinion. The "fries" have been soggy and limp and the chicken greasy. I always fill out the online survey that comes with the receipt and stupidly go back with my discount voucher just to be disappointed once more. I have even taken the fries home and put them in my Tefal Actifry to try and crisp them up, but to no avail.

Second time using this outlet. Service was quick, food was OK, would not have a take away again, would have it on site as it tastes a lot better. Beware it can get very busy though especially the drive through

Came into the store and there was a big que but no one serving on the tills, by the time we got to order the lady serving us was really rude looking elsewhere and not using any manners, she snatched our money from us and shoved our receipt back, once we got our food they forgot our drinks and when we asked for our dips for the food they gave us the wrong ones, got home and food was missing yet again, I advise people to use other places as this one is the worst one around, disgusting.

Spent 20mins in the drive through - ordered a variety bucket. Got home, lid was for a small bucket and this was a large one so it didn't fit and all the food was cold. Coating had come off the chicken and stuck together and the fries were cold and limp. Tried to revive them in the oven.

As they go, not a bad kfc. Serving large volumes so fresh hot food coming out. Staff friendly enough and hygiene..ok, as you would expect for a fast food joint. Where i have issue is where a gents loo is closed; with 2 young boys not ideal!!

I was surprised they thought it was acceptable to serve this. I understand you won't always have perfectly fresh salad/food but this was well below standard.

I have been to many KFCs and this one is always the best,staff are chatty and helpful,served by Dan today who was lovely,food hot and tasty.

We have been here a couple of times now, very impressed by the staff who worked efficiently and quickly around us the lady who served me was friendly and polite, the food itself was hot and tasty and lived up to its finger licking reputation all in all a very pleasant experience and my wife and I will be back...

Ordered a rice box as part of the order had wait then our order was taken to wrong car, so wait was even longer. Eventually received our order we went on our way. When I opened the rice box it looked like a box of sick with a piece of luke warm chicken on top and nothing to eat it with. We used the drive through. Oh and NO tomato sauce.

Only comment was about the person cleaning the stack of dirty trays. He got called up to assist serving as it had got busy but replied he'd be there once he'd finished wiping the trays. After wiping the top of the top tray he then took the next tray off the pile and wiped the top of that - ignoring all the dirt & food on the bottom that had come off the top of the tray below - before putting it on the top of the clean tray making it dirty again - then repeating the process for the next 25-30 trays !!!

Restaurant itself appears clean and tidy and staff friendly and helpful. Served quickly however my wife's meal was cold and forgot my side order. All replaced without any fuss so no complaints.

Never get the orders right. Staff unhelpful and food cool and unappetising. Long queue through drive in only one window to serve. Makes a joke of drive through!!

if you love chicken then kfc is the place 2 go! that serve chicken buckets with fries and sweetcorn. lush!

Arrived for a very small order to place, the drive through queue was ridiculous and entered into the restaurant to be greeted with another queue. Once I finally got to the counter to order a hot drink, I was told they weren't serving hot drinks at 8pm? Very bizarre. So carried on ordering my one item, then the PDQ machine wouldn't work, ended up just leaving.

Since my favourite local chicken place has decided to stop selling chicken, and the other serves chicken too greasy and disgusting, I now have to travel to Plymouth for average, at best, chicken.The drive-through staff although always polite, and willing to help, seem to wish to be anywhere else but there. I can't say I really blame them. The food is a different matter. It's pretty average for the price. The chicken is by far too greasy and by far too bland. The chips need more of a crunch - they're usually quite soggy - and always cold. The coleslaw is probably the best thing they have - one of the best coleslaws I've ever eaten.

Awful. It is a drive thru next to M&S and Pizza Hut. They actually ran out of chicken when we got there. WTF???? The drive thru had a long queue and they had an A4 paper sign saying 'sorry, we're out of Chicken. It actually made our local paper (Herald). I believe it was a delivery issue to be fair.

I regularly go to the take away window for an early (5pm) thursday tea. I have their loyalty card so sometimes have earned a free side! Currently also on offer a free coffee!! choice of chicken spicy or original, coleslaw or sweetcorn, size of fries, extra hot wings if required. choice of cold drinks, including zero calories. not too long queues at this time, although longer at 6pm. car parking space enough or nearby by B&Q. plastic spoons and paper tissue plus lemony hand wipe always included (believe mayo available, perhaps other sauces too?)

This establishment has recently had adverse publicity in the local press regarding uncooked chicken. We've continued to use it in spite of this, as we have not had any problems. However, their attitude seems to be getting increasingly slapdash, culminating in an abortive trip tonight. They advertise that they are open until midnight, but they had shut the restaurant by the time we got there shortly before 22:00. The drive-thru only had one hatch open. One member of staff was taking orders and walking back and forth to get the food while other members of staff were milling around aimlessly. When we eventually got to the front of the queue we were advised that they had no Krushems. This is usually code for "we're too busy to get you a Krushem" but, in light of the number of underemployed staff present we think tonight it was code for "we can't be bothered to get you a Krushem". We then drove through the drive-thru having decided that hunger was preferable to putting up with such poor customer service!

Visited here after shopping in B&Q, and ordered a family bucket, the chicken was well cooked and the corn cobs nice and hot. The chips were lukewarm, but edible. The restaurant itself was freezing! I don't usually feel the cold but by the time we had finished eating we all had to get back to the car to warm up! Will return in the warmer months! Lol

Greasy, cheap chicken, poor quality burgers and cold chips all served with an American style 'you're welcome'God knows what you actually eat in KFC and I for one would rather not know.

Clean & tidy restaurant and good location. Initially staff member was friendly and wrap was served in seconds. There started the problems. Note to management:- if a customer returns an item and complains that it's not warm enough....just train staff to swap it. Don't make the customer feel awkward by acting like it's the worst thing that's happened that day. No apology, no warmth of customer care. Must do better.

Not good. You queue to order then hang about to collect. Tiny portion of fries with 2 portions of chicken. Skin elasticky and greasy. Hot chocolate extra 60p but too sickly sweet. Should have gone to McDonalds.

Got home checked order half wrong . Chips stone cold chicken so small and cold. We only live 2 minutes away . Never again

Just love coming here for a KFC staff very friendly and helpful ! Come here with the family quite often.
