KFC in North Somerset

Impressive…. Unfortunately that impressive is impressively slow

I've lived in the US for the last 20 years and stopped in here while driving to Cornwall while back in the UK... They were slammed so everything was pretty much cooked to order. The 6 piece chicken meal was so good - much better than I can get in the US. Freshly cooked, and served with real fries which you cannot get in the US...

I'd heard rumours about how bad they are and apparently they were right. Ordering from Uber Eats left them with no accountability for the major mistakes they made. I ordered a 3pc chicken meal with fries and a Pepsi. I didn't recieve the chicken. The 2pc chicken meal was fine, however, I had ordered 1 gravy alongside that. They sent 2. Then, extra fries came from nowhere. Where did they get the idea to change my 3pcs of chicken for extra fries and gravy? I am fuming. I only ordered from Gordano because Cribbs wasn't available at the time. Never again. I'll wait for Cribbs branch next time. Meanwhile, I'm gonna be left chicken-less.

My friend works there and receives excellent leadership from his manager who provides fantastic customer service herself, and all of my orders have been executed perfectly.

Had 10 chicken wings meal it was tastless .all batter no chicken this is not the 1st time I've had this very poor quality food from kfc .I'm always up and down the country stopping in different services. Think I will be given them a miss for a bit

We took a break there. It is the smartest fast food shop I have ever been to.

I was trying to enjoy my Aero Peppermint Krushem when suddenly I heard the manager yelling at a member of staff for simply putting something in the bin! The poor staff deserve better! Props to the member of staff that served me and made my refreshing drink! :)

Worst kfc I have ever had chicken looked like it had mutated. Gravy was like water and all stone cold. Got a Deliveroo order so can’t comment on service but nobody answers the phone for me to complain anyway. Never again it’s going in the bin.

We ate here for the first and last time, got our order wrong and when we pointed it out they only gave one of the missing items back even though we showed our receipt and over all compared to other kfc's it was very expensive

I came to this service station for a quick dinner as I drove to Cornwall from London. I regret ever eating at the KFC. First the touch screen order points were lagging and slow, then I had to wait 20 minutes for 3 pieces of the original recipe chicken. I wish it had never arrived. As 7 hours later I woke up with the worst food poisoning i have ever experienced. For over 14 hours I was throwing up every 20 minutes with diarrhoea and other symptoms I’m still suffering from 2 days on. With the need to call 111 and my gp to get hydration sachets as I wasn’t able to consume any water for so long. So I strongly advise to avoid this KFC outlet and I will be doing so in the future.

First time ever eating here and it was awful Place was really quiet Food was hardly warm and looked like it had just been thrown in the box and bag, the smallest portion of cold chips weve ever had so left still very hungry, plus they dont give you a receipt which is very suspicious Are they fiddling the tax man

We eat at KFC regularly, but this time the chicken was very "wet", skin and coating disgusting, but hopefully cooked, and the chips were cold. Asked colleague for a breast portion for our children but not able to do, not sure staff even interested. Sorry KFC but this time there was nothing good to say 🤤

Ordered at 8.30 on app. Ordered accepted at 8.59. one minute before they close. Order delivered 9.50. stone cold. Small portions. Clearly sat on the side for well over an hour. Worst KFC on the planet.

This is for subway not kfc 0 Server was slow and couldn’t cut the bread properly, sandwiched came out cold and wasn’t cut in half just awful, incompetent knife skills, think they should be under review !!!!!!!

Worst kfc I have ever had,,or should I say kfb because I'm sure the colonel is cooking up budgies the size of the chicken pieces!!, it was dry and not a lot of meat on it either. Paid £12 for 4 pieces of extremely small chicken, chips a small (flat) drink and a pot of gravy.the chips were probably one potatoes worth and they were cold. 12 effing quid!!!,sort it out kfb. Anyone going here needs to go to burger King next to kfc,it might be expensive but it's cooked fresh and you get a reasonable portion. Never again.

Updating this to 4 stars as the delivery is MUCH better now, and the food is better quality also. Chips are still bad, but that's more of a chain thing and the chicken is the main attraction. ******* Chicken has improved over time, but the service is awful through ordering apps. They regularly switch it off, or cancel your order without any reason given, this is the 3rd time now.

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by KFC at Gordano Service Station, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. Despite arriving close to closing hours, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their positive attitude and efficiency made me feel right at home. The service was prompt, and my order was prepared with care. The food itself was delicious, cooked to perfection with that signature KFC flavor. Overall, I was highly impressed by the quality of service and the friendliness of the staff at Gordano Service Station. I will definitely be returning in the future and highly recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

Deliveries from here are always cold, even though they seem to be prepared quickly, picked up quickly and delivered in a thermal bag. Plus this last time today it tasted as if someone had just chucked a load of extra salt in at the last minute, just for fun. Fries were also very undercooked, one was almost hard. All of it almost inedible.

Now everyone knows the chips portions in kfc are on the small side but this place takes it to a different level👎

Closes at 22:00, 21:40 on a Thursday and the place was being cleaned down.. no one on the till, screens all off… ignored when stood at the counter. Went to Burger King instead where they were happy to serve us.

The 2 of us had a KFC meal including 3 piece Boneless and 3 piece Colonels meal which were easy to, order and tasty too

Very busy off-motorway services. Odd range of food outlets of the fast food variety. Insufficient number of tables for demand. Three large containers for separating waste. However staff member stated that it was not worth bothering as they all went into the same bin at the back.

Having ordered the "Aberdeen Angus Burger" we waited over 20 minutes for our order whilst watching no less than 13 burgers pile up in the serving tray before us. The 2 young people who were serving didn't have a clue what they were doing. Looking forward to my buger i opened the wrapper to find a chicken burger. I took it back to the counter only to be told by the young lad that was an aberdeen angus burger. Well, never before have i seen a cow turn into a chicken!! Anyway, he changed my burger for a cow and away i went to enjoy my burger. There was so much bbq sauce on it I struggled to find the burger but the other sauce that was on it was so full of chillis and hot that i couldnt eat it! I tried to scrape most of the sauce out but to no avail, my lips and mouth were on fire. I ended up throwing away a £9 burger. The lady on the table next to me had ordered the same and took hers back and exchanged for a plain burger. I wont be gracing Burger King with my precence again thats for sure. Very disappointing

No where near enough staff and staff were extremely slow

I don't usually do these but the manager was brilliant today. First, he helped me out using the KFC app, then when I realised I had ordered the wrong chicken he swapped it for me, no quibbles. Excellent customer service, thanks.

Okay where do I start. I ordered a lot of zinger burgers and gravy for a group of us. Gravy was so watery and no taste. I swear it was 99% water and 1 granuel it was literally so bad. The zingers, yes lovely crispy chicken but again, no taste or flavour?! We were a group of 6 and all said the same. Just tasted so boring! Might as well go to a burger van for a chicken burger. Cuz this KFC has nothing unless you want watery gravy and a boring burger.

Badly ran franchise, upgraded to large fries, literally 5 chips in the box, zinger Luke warm, unfriendly staff…spend your money next door at Burger King

Worst kfc I've ever had was cold over cooked. The fillet burger was just thrown in the BOX with more mayo in the box than on the bun had 2 bites of the burger and couldn't eat it, only thing I ate was the 2 hot wings £9 for 2 hot wings in the end as the rest was inedible.

I've no idea what this was but it certainly didn't taste like KFC I've ever had before! Is there a shortage on lettuce?! Tables were filthy, staff were unwelcoming.... Absolutely terrible

If I could give no stars I would. They need more staff.the food was luke warm when received as I noticed they pack first bits then wait about 5 mins before finishing the rest of order. I used to work for kfc years ago and if there was a wait, I would apologise to customers. I waited about 20-30 mins for my order and no apologies whatsoever this is not the first time. This has happened. For the franchise owners shut it down or get more staff!!!!!!

ridiculous. why did i wait over an hour for one boneless banquet meal? one person getting the orders ready. no drinks just fizzy so had to get water. when i came to the till he said there was no corn on the cob what else would you like i literally could not hear him at all but cool. so i said give me anything and i ended up with more fries and gravy which was fine. fries tasted awful tho prefer mcdonald’s

Avoid this place understaffed overworked and can’t get the food out within 45 minutes had to get a refund will never come to this one again guy behind the counter his telly more lies than Jimmy Savile

Hot food, fast service, very friendly staff

Customer service was non existent waited for about 10 minutes before asking if any one was serving got told you need to stand at far end of counter, none of the staff thought it a good idea to say are you waiting to order and directing me there, it didn't make any difference I went to the order point and waited another 5 minutes while staff carried on ignoring me, in the end I called one of the staff and said I'll come back when someone's prepared to serve,

Ordered here as we required a "fast food" restaurant. After 15 minutes of waiting (in which time no food was served to the 10 orders in front of us) I got a refund as we were on a deadline. If I wanted to wait for food I would eat somewhere more upmarket

Gave 1 star because 0 stars wasn't an option. Waited an eternity for food only to be told it had already been called and was sitting getting cold - it hadn't been called at all. Staff very cheeky and one even swore at me under his breath as he walked away, very classy.

Would give zero for customer service if there was an option! Just ordered drinks. Latte fine. Asked for milk for the tea, answer ‘If there’s non in the condiments box (which there clearly wasn’t as it was right in front of the guy serving) then go to Burger King’ ‘That’s the best we can do’

Awful experience. Had to wait 25 minutes for our food and then it was cold. Also in my child's meal was a zinger chicken bite so at 2 years old, this was traumatizing as it was very hot. Needless to say will not be going back anytime soon

What a appalling service , arrived at 19:30 at a busy motorway service station and told they have run out of almost all chicken. Some one needs to mean stock control and and management lots of hungry people who had to try and find else where to eat , ….. not the first time this has happened, this time the server seemed to find it amusing. . Not sure where the funny side was

Absolute joke. Been here on 2 separate occasions and both times NO CHICKEN! No worries, you can fight over the scraps that are left. COVID cannot still be blamed for everything. Especially closing at 8pm with queues of people trying to order.

Just left empty handed. Placed order. Waited 15 minutes to then be told would have to wait a further 17 minutes. Really poor.

Slow service, 30 minute wait, and cold food when it did finally arrive. Useless, we won’t be coming back ever, just drive onto the next services.

Waited 30 + minutes for my order, extremely slow, when we just wanted to pop in and out for a bite.

Really slow service.. 15 mins for a burger with no queue.

Waited over 15 minutes for two small meals. No warning and staff did not keep updated. Beans were over-microwaved (they had a skin on them!). No wipes/napkins or fork provided.

I have to stop off here atleast once a month, always the same huge queues, barely any machines working and food takes up to half an hour to come out. Not worth it very frustrating as services you'd expect quick service!!!

Had food from there last Thursday and my daughter has had food poisoning from there shes still poorly 6 days later and me my partner and nephew havnt been right since either please avoid!!!

4 out of 6 self ordering machines were on but not working, reported to staff to be told “yeah we know” a sign taped onto the screen saying “out of order” would be helpful as almost every customer was hitting the unresponsive screens without knowing they’re broken! Strange queuing system ment people (including myself) were unknowingly jumping the queue as it looks like people are queuing for Burger King and not kfc! Lots of grumpy looking people that are too far away (or too British) to tell people the queues over here!! Food hot and tasty, restaurant spotlessly clean with plenty of seating available.

After a gruelling 8 hours on the road stopped off for a quick refill.. Only 2 machines working with queues, the other machines didn't have out of order signs so after having to touch several machines went to the counter. Cash only. Staff didn't seem to know which machined did work... Hoping to pay by card went back to the car got cash. Food arrived quickly but was then cold. Was a bit of a shambles!

Worst KFC I've ever had. No sauce in my wrap, the coating on the chicken was soggy. Won't go back there.

Disgusted that on a Bank Holiday, having stopped after 3 hours of driving, that they closed at 8:30pm! Really???? We had no option but to use Burger King and, after a very long wait, got cold food and syrup less fizzy! Setting areas were closed and no explanation given, just we are closing now.

Was meant to be open but was told they weren't taking orders until a certain time so waste of time stopping

Very slow service and chicken of very poor quality with very little meat. Staff appeared far to rushed so all QA went out the window. Avoid if you can.

The staff working at the Pick Up point lacked a friendly attitude. My presumption was that the staff were busy preparing the many orders that were coming through consistantly, due to that it is a service by the M5. So, for 2 Mighty Buckets, I waited roughly 20 minutes.

Worst services and KFC. Toilets was dirty, so called social distancing didn’t work. KFC took ages and when finally received food, it’s was cold. Never stopping here again. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Waited one and a half hours for our food. Slower than slow service by staff who have a couldn't care attitude.(see attached picture of how they presented corn on the cob)Then the food was cold. Not a problem with preparation as there was plenty of chicken ready, just incredibly slow getting it into boxes for the customer. Probably the worst KFC in the world!!

The pre order screens not sending to the counter staff new there was a problem yet were happy to stand around with a lot of people waiting without saying anything sets new record of 46min fro a burger

29/06/2021 Firstly.... 3 / 4 touch screen order machines were not working as there was a connection fault to the printer..... took a very long time for orders to be ready especially considering they were receiving 1 at a time......... I ordered BBQ chicken bites and got Stone cold Chilli bites...... Are the staff unable to read... The chicken was also cold and my main piece of chicken had hardly any meat on it..... photo attached. I will say I have eaten here before and it was loads better than today order.....

Horrible. Ordered tower burger, got zinger tower instead. Ordered regular pepsi, got pepsi cherry. 🤢 Fries were cold and made a long while ago. Everything was almost cold to be honest. Worst KFC and staff, sorry. I usually leave good reviews, but this was horrible.

Very slow service and lots of peoples orders made incorrectly.

Pepsi was watery, the special orders for sauces removed all came with full sauces. Nothing in the order was correct.
