Bare Grills in North Somerset

A really nice burger, some other bigger ones looked magnificent but I just wanted a simple one. Was surprised they don’t have beer on draft just bottled and I’ve knocked a star off because they charged me for fries that I didn’t order. It was only when I got the bill and was charged I realised I hadn’t actually ordered them but by then had eaten them. Not great practice

Food wasn't all that. Chicken wings were very dry. Service was o.k. atmoshere was pleasant, great soft country and western music and it seemed quite busy. Not a fan of the service charge being put on a bill before I requested it, only to ask me if I'd like to pay it or have it taken off. Would I go back? No, I don't think so. The food doesn't warrant a return visit

Back in Western supermare for wife's birthday and we've been coming to bare grills steak house few fews years now every time we're in the area we coming here at some point as the food is amazing staff helpful and friendly place has a really great atmosphere no matter what time of day you go i whent all out burger dirty fries wife dad the pulled pork food was amazing as normal thanks to all we just need a restaurant near home now please

Best place to grab a decent bit of meat, cheese and beer! Fantastic. Oh and the onion rings are the size of my face and gourmet!!

STUNNING! 10/10 We always love to go to Baregrills on special occasions and last night we were celebrating our anniversary. Service/Food/Everything was perfect. Had a lovely time, even more so with great food and cocktails. If you are ever looking for a great evening out in Weston, it's here. Never disappoints! Thank you, team, for looking after us. I saw this restaurant and it look really good, so decided to try it. We had a bare grill Burger and a full rack of ribs with extra Pickles. The food was excellent and came out really quickly, but the table service was not very good. The waitress forgot our drinks, and it took a while for anyone to come to our table to pay the bill and to get a take away container for the left overs. In the end we had to go up to the till to ask for a container and to pay the bill.

Very friendly and efficient service. Servings are way more than you may expect. Well worth the money.

We attended as a party of 4, food was very nice and came out fast, shame there’s no draught beers to go with your meal, all drinks looked to be coming out of cans. While I appreciate the decor is meant to look rustic, it can still be clean, if you aren’t gonna dust the weird glasses in boxes on the window ledges then take them away they just make the place look dirty. Last gripe is tip, 10% tip is automatically added to your bill, sorry but a tip is not automatic it should be deserved for good service which was not what we were given on the evening we attended. Staff had little interaction with us and it would help to remind customers that burgers don’t come with chips so that patrons who may miss this on your menu don’t end up hungry, upselling sides would better your staff engagement with customers too. Overall good food but experience needs a little work.

Tbh, didn't look like much from outside 😄 but glad we went in, a little tight for space as there were 6 of us but they sat us all together (we hadn't booked). Service was good & the food was great! Well recommended if your in the area.

Fantastic service. Came with a disabled friend and family, the waitress couldn't be more helpful. The food was brilliant. My mate had the 1/2 rack of ribs, my son had the bare grills burger, his girlfriend had the smoked pulled pork and I had the filthy pig. Would highly recommend all of the above.

I’ve enjoyed the food and service was also excellent. I’d visit again and highly recommend it if you like meat and burgers.

This spot is perfect for people who enjoy a good, authentic burger. Its large menu gives many options. The staff here are wonderful and very polite.

Absolutely loved this little gem of a place, had the best dirty fries I’ve ever had with a triple bacon burger, side order of onion rings which were awesome also, my wife had half rack of ribs which she said were the best ribs she’d ever had, staff were great & very friendly & helpful, would 100% recommend this place if ribs & burgers are your thing

Unfortunately after a very long wait and so much anticipation. I felt very disappointed after my visit!! The service we received was 10/10 couldn't fault the front of house member of staff! Unfortunately the food was where we got let down! I had the bare Grill combo for one! And to say when it came out I was ecstatic the tray it came out on (So much food) looked fantastic. The pulled pork and the smoked sausage was to die for!! Amazing!!! But unfortunately the chicken wings, half rack of ribs and the brisket burnt ends were all over cooked and dry as hell! The ribs barely had any meat on them due to being over cooked! Very disappointed with the price I paid!! My wife had the double cheese bacon burger and came out very dry and the crispy onions were burnt to the point it tainted the whole burger. Probably wouldn't go again after spending a lot of money and walking away very dissatisfied.

The nicest i have had. We came across this place by accident but definitely glad we did. We thought until now that burger boyz in port talbot was the best ever but Bare Grills is definitely the bedt iv ever been. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, the food was out of this world and the atmosphere was great. Will live 2 hours away from here but we will 100% be going back. Dont do want burger boyz have by letting the food and service be over run by just eat and companies like that because it definitely spoils the customer service.

The food was very good - all freshly prepared and decent portion sizes. We had burgers, all of which were very substantial and delicious, with fries, corn on the cob and onion rings. The fries were really nicely seasoned and come in a big portion size (we could have shared a portion to be honest). Service was also excellent - friendly and confident. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars (which it could probably justify), is that it feels slightly expensive (£80 for three meals without dessert) and that they automatically add on a 10% service charge, which I've never liked places doing. Don't get me wrong, I'd have left a tip, but I always feel this is a bit cheeky to add it automatically. Overall though, a nice friendly place to eat with good food and good service.

One of the best Gluten free Burgers I've ever had. Really nice looking place aswell. Staff excellent. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommended if you're in Weston. Really close to the seafront. Quick and friendly service, and the food is up there with some of the best barbeque I've ever had.

Came here to celebrate our daughter in laws Birthday, The food was great, the service was brilliant. I’ve not been here before but will be back. A very small gripe if I have to have one, the music was a little loud making conversations around the table difficult.

Sat patiently waiting for around 10 mins, even after collecting menus for myself etc. The people that had food, looked great, the atmosphere was good. The staff running the show had no organisation skills whatsoever, cleaning a table before serving us and I watched them leave the food for well.iver 5 minutes.

Had dinner here the other week and loved it! I had the Bare Grills burger, my partner the ribs. Both were delicious, and even the chips were to die for, crispy and *really* well seasoned. As a true pickle lover, I can also say that there house pickles are some of the best I have had. We were really too full for pudding, but were kindly offered free cheesecake as they hated to throw it away (it was just before closing, guess it couldn’t keep another day) and that too was absolutely amazing. Everyone in there was also *really* friendly, excellent service all round. Can’t wait to go back to try more things, there were so many other tasty sounding dishes!

I had a meal there with 4 people and had to leave early. I ordered a steal and chicken wings. They forgot my wings and brought then out late. The average steak served on a roof tile was nothing to write home about either. When asking to settle the bill the said they couldn't split it and asked me to work it out myself from the menu. So I paid for mine and included a tip. When my friends settled up later, the staff added my wings onto the bill and said I hadn't paid for them and charged my friend an extra 10 quid. I found out and phoned the establishment and they told me I would have to get everyone to send their proof of payments and then they would check CCTV to see if had paid cash. I don't know what kind of clandestine receipt system they are using but it is Weston super mare after all. Overall, it is nice that they are giving special people jobs at least

Great food, and relaxing. Also my daughter was upset after having an accident and a lovely lady presuming owner/ manager was lovely and gave my daughter a free ice cream of her choosing. Highly recommend thank you.

Wandered along the sea front at Weston, spotted the Bare Grills sign, checked on line, made a reservation and 40 minutes later we were eating, great food, great place and amazing staff, they were also helpful and happy. Next time we are in Weston we’ll be back.

First time I have visited Weston-Super-Mare in a long time, this place had caught my eye. Great service, generous portions and a chilled out vibe. Would definitely recommend, if anyone is heading out that way.

Visited this evening on our trip to Weston. We received a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Melody was a fantastic waitress and is an asset to the team. Would definitely visit again.

The best steak I have ever had - me and my partner had T bone steaks, with wings chips and peppercorn sauce. Could not fault any part of the meal. Staff were lovely and very accommodating (Jess, Melody and the chef Stewart). Highly recommend for any meat lovers!!

The smoked pork and half ribs that we had were both mouth-watering. Service was quick and with a great welcoming smile - always a bonus !

When I contacted the restaurant to address the issue, they were completely unhelpful and dismissive, instructing me to take it up with the delivery driver instead. Despite the driver confirming that he only received one bag from the restaurant, BARE Grills Smokehouse refused to issue a refund, leaving me out of pocket with cold food. Their blatant lack of customer care and refusal to take responsibility is appalling. Given this experience, I can confidently say we will never be ordering from BARE Grills Smokehouse again. It's a disgrace to the town when businesses like this prioritize their profits over customer satisfaction. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs.

Not a great experience and won't go back because of it. Told us we had an hour and then table given back (we said no problem) but most of the food was cold when it arrived (properly cold) so we didn't eat it. They also forgot to bring the free drink with child's meal so we got that at the end. They agreed to take something off the bill as not enough time to replace; bill comes and it's blue light discount applied (which I actually have one) so asked for that discount to be applied additionally; the girl on the bar upstairs HAD ATTITUDE. "The technology just doesn't allow it) so no further discount and feeling a bit off that they gave us discount for cold food hidden as blue light. Then with all the huffing and not being able to do it we asked for service charge to be taken off; she grumbles yes. And then proceeds to charge the full amount anyway; had we not asked for receipt immediately it wouldn't have meant her calling her Manager up who gave the refund immediately. I had NO issue with this being resolved in a fair manner; but her attitude to the issue was terrible. That said the loaded fries (seperate bowl and piping hot) were delicious. But I won't be back.

1st time visiting Weston Super Mare from Wales . 1st time visitor to Bare Grills . Very authentic American style smoke house . Looked clean . Service was good . Good selection of drinks and menu was huge . Food was tasty with very good flavour will definitely be visiting again some time

Really nice food and service. The portions were really big! Only thing I would say is the seating inside is a but cramped up but otherwise it was lovely!

Unfortunately bare gills has gone slightly down hill with food taking over an hour and a half during dinner service and this happened on two separate occasions, drinks being forgotten after ordering and overall lack of service was terrible, the staff are friendly and kind of helpful when they are around but just felt like we were forgotten about and had to wait a very long time for sub-par food, the quality of the food being served has also declined from when they first opened everything was just a little over Cooked and dry. This restaurant used to be one of the top BBQ places in Weston now it just feels tired and worn out.

Had a fantastic time, stunning T-Bone steak. Perfectly cooked, well served, amazing season. Fries delicious! Pulled pork topping. Corn on cob, well grilled and beautiful butter glaze!

Arrived at 6.30 and didn't eat till nearly 8 o clock. When the food did arrive it was wrong and when it was corrected it was only just warm. There wasn't enough heat to make the cheese soft let alone melt it. The meat was dry and tasteless. If there wasn't any sauce on the burgers they wouldn't have had any taste at all. Unfortunately it wasn't an great experience. Other reviews are very positive so perhaps our experience was a one off?

Was able to grab a table without booking but very disappointed when I asked for no barbecue sauce and I got my burger with it on. Meaning I had to wait for them to recook my food while my wife ate hers. The music was to loud for me can't really have a conversation while having your meal. Food was good but a little to much fried onion on it.

Came here with family on Sunday with no booking but managed to squeeze us in! Food was incredible 😋 we had outstanding service by Alisha, she was very welcoming. I had an allergy and immediately the chef came over and explained everything to us. Cannot fault this place. we will definitely be returning.

Wow! What an amazing restaurant from the wonderfully welcoming staff, (Paige & Brandon), the amazing atmosphere to the speed of service. Three 20 Oz t-bone steaks all cooked to different tastes and all perfect. A fabulous choice of sides and wonderful drinks. You should try the adult milkshakes!!!!! All in all, the best meal we had this week!

Melody was absolutely amazing! I came here with my partner and he thought the same. We're not from here, we're from Leicester. We travelled down for a day out and had no idea where to eat until we saw the reviews for here and decided to give it a go and I'm so glad we did! Partners steak was cooked to perfection and was so tender that you could cut it with a butter knife and my burger and loaded fries were to die for! Will be returning asap. We have been to this place twice. The food is amazing here and the portions are very generous. Just wish we had a Bare Grills in Kent.

Great music. Good food. But I would be very wary about eating there if I was vegetarian or vegan. Their Mississipi Prawns are clearly labelled vegetarian. So I would be concerned about what else they think is veg or vegan.

A huge piece of succulent chicken breast with the crunchiest of coatings and that rich buttermilk flavour. With sriracha Mayo and a properly decent piece of bacon as well as the burger salad trimmings in a brioche bun - this really hit the spot. We were starving after all that sea air and larking around on the beach so these were very quickly demolished. Arlo did find the sriracha a little bit spicy so I was more than happy to oblige and help him finish that off….. (there was a kids menu available but he insisted that’s what he wanted 🤦🏻‍♀️). With our burgers we ordered curly fries and corn on the cob - Arlo’s choice! Beautiful in their simplicity and ample portions for us to share between us as the burger was the real hero. So happy to have found this restaurant amongst the usual sea front offerings - and already craving a taste and thinking about when we can next drive down to try more of this wonderful menu. Service was Swift and efficient, the venue had a great ambiance on a Sunday afternoon and pricing was very reasonable.

We used to rave about this place to all our friends as a few years ago it was our absolute favourite place to eat , a go to restaurant. While the food is still good it’s not mind blowing like it used to be , it feels like the focus is on getting the food out faster instead of the attention to detail that used to go into it , it all used to feel like it was made with love and passion but the spark seems to have gone a bit, i would rather wait a bit longer for better quality. Steak was overcooked , the burnt ends were also not as good as before , Mac and cheese while good was not the right texture and the sauce was too runny, I had to send my burger back twice as I asked for it to be well done as I’m pregnant and it came out twice still pink , third time it was correct. The dirty fries and burger once correct were on point and delicious also the shakes are amazing. It would be good to see the old Bare Grills reappear and have real passion again 😊

Went to bare grills as I have heard nothing but great things… but sadly left underwhelmed and will likely not be returning. Decided to go for a tower sharer. Brisket was like leather and was tasteless/cold. The same can be said for the ribs which were just awful… cold and tough with no flavour.. my friend’s burnt ends were like eating rubbers.. chicken wings dry and Mac n cheese overly runny. The only thing that was edible was the burgers and dirty fries which again wasn’t anything too impressive. Kitchen appears to not have respect for the food they are serving as our order was constantly incorrect. I would like to point out that front of house staff were pleasant and sadly had to answer for the kitchens incompetence. Real shame…

I had Food here the other day and it was immaculate, there were 2 chefs a young female and older gentleman both made my food to exquisite standards, my steak done by the female was one of the best I’ve had in a while and I’m very impressed. I shall 100% be returning for my brother in law’s birthday

Really great food, and service. Food wasn't quick to come out but we didn't mind, we were having great fun chatting and soaking up the atmosphere. Great country style music playing in the background. Only question I do have though and it made bith me and my daughter giggle, is why are toilet roll holders so high up on the wall in the ladies bathroom 😂😂 not massively helpful to us smaller in height people 😂😂, but funny nevertheless

Had smoked pulled pork and seasoned fries. It was delicious. They managed to squeeze the 2 of us in, even though we hadn't booked. I would recommend booking as they were really busy , it was about 6pm on a Saturday. Staff were very polite and friendly, Would definitely recommend

What a great place! Went on Sunday. There was a mix up with the food. One dish came out a few minutes later, only a few minutes and they insisted on knocking the price off the bill. Amazing food!!!! Ordered via Uber eats, food was hot when it arrived and we were very impressed. I had the gobstopper burger & my partner had ribs both were tasty. Onion rings and crispy jalapeños were also 10/10.
