Back in the day this would have been a smart establishment and it's trying to hold it's head high despite now facing a bus terminal. The signature main course was beef bourginon but despite being the first guests of the evening, there was none. We were about to leave but chose the Christmas turkey roast instead. Lucky we did because it was really very good

What a great little hidden gem. Great food, fabulous service, amazing prices. Both the English and Japanese menus are brilliant with food cooked with real care and attention. We have been many times and will continue to return over and over

Had pre Christmas family get together with three small children in our party and the service was excellent. We didn’t feel rushed and the portions were just right. Food was well presented and very friendly staff

The Keppel's Head Hotel restaurant is a great place to dine out. We've eaten there three times so far and the food and service have always been excellent. I'm a vegetarian and we decided to go here instead of the many nearby pubs because they don't just do your basic burgers etc. Most recently I had their Leek and Blue Cheese Tart Tatin which was really nice. This I followed with the splendidly named Dark Chocolate Nemesis. This was very good too. We were looked after by two very friendly and helpful ladies, one of whom kindly queried my friend, who'd ordered a vegan main, because her desert was just vegetarian. It was a kind thing to bring to our attention as they could have just served it without comment. It's quite a large, light, friendly room with music playing not so loud you have to shout at each other. This is now our go to place before seeing a film at Vue. Thanks for the excellent food and service. See you at.

It was all average for what was a huge price tag. I enjoyed it but won’t be returning in a rush.

The most amazing staff. So friendly and polite and very efficient. Both myself and partner's food (starter & main) was mouth watering. Highly recommended.

Don't order the wrap. It has less meat in than the kebab for more money! Tasty food though and delivered by a pro.

Been many times and the food/service/wine always very good so for a change we decided to go for a Sunday Roast. As usual great welcome, ushered to a table tucked away, bit tight for space, however venue busy so can't expect the best table. Ordered and the starters were excellent so expected more of the same for our roast. Could see on other tables roasts we're being tucked into. Came very quickly after the starters, too quick I thought. We had beef and lamb roasts, meat was good, yorkies good and the rest was awful. Roast potatoes not cooked thoroughly, so we sent them back and they were not much better. Veg uninspiring and cauliflower cheese a small helping that was dry and overcooked. Desserts were excellent but the main course, the Roast was just not up to the mark and I would say that as someone who goes to a different restaurant each month for a roast this is by far the worst. Do not be put off by the other food but give the Sunday roast a swerve.
