The freshly made tuna mayo and chicken with stuffing sandwiches on granary bread were delicious today and nicely presented on the dishes. The service was fast too and there was a nice choice of cakes for those indulging (Cadbury choc brownie in particular!) The new-ish restaurant extension is also good and well aerated.

I wouldn't recommend the cafe I'm afraid. The service was slow, staff all seemed as though they did not want to be here apart from the lovely girl who brought the toast, she smiled and made a slight joke with us but the Food was tiny portions and arrived barely warm.. toast for a farm shop was shocking...medium cheap loaf..barely toasted.. and for the high price that really threw me. Coffee must have ran out of beans but couldn't tell anyone as staff are no where to be seen or barely make any eye contact after they bring the food. ;( was pretty disappointed.

Came to do the fruit picking which was good, the kids enjoyed picking their own fruit and filling their punnets. Also went in the maize which was rather basic, not really engaging though. Play area was good. Toilets though were terrible. Swarm of black flies which was disgusting. And bizarrely had to wash your hands with the sinks outside. Nice day though.

Loved coming here! Really friendly team and tasty coffee! Enjoyed eating our fruit afterwards and will definitely return! The only negatives from our experience were that the ground when walking to the fields to pick fruit just was not suitable for buggies which we didn't know- our baby was more than happy in his carrier instead though:) and the bathroom floor was very wet from other customers, but the team were quick to deal with it once alerted- just worth knowing as I imagine it might happen a lot during busy times.

Had a good time and got lots of delicious fruit! Was quite expensive at £32 in total for 2 of us, that's for entrance and fruit. All be it we did by quite a lot of fruit (see pics) and we were there an hour in total. Booking prior to visiting is a must for the strawberry picking but managed to get a slot at the 2pm time the day before (when they release tickets). Very organised and good system for entering and lots of staff to point you in the right direction for which fruit you want and help with extra punnets. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were planning on having lunch there at arrived at 11:30 and has done out strawberry and raspberry picking by 12:15pm. As we went into the cafe the qué was so large we couldn't actually see what they served and decided to head home instead. So we had a nice time but £32 for just over an hours activity is quite expensive. I'm sure you could stretch this time if you wanted and take advantage of the play park or pay to do the maize maze.

Came here yesterday it was AMAZING. I loved the experience of picking my own fruit raspberries and the different currants. We didn't get the chance to pick the strawberries but it's on the list for next time as well as the maize. There's a play area for kids and a tractor to play on and some chickens in the back. Kids really loved it picking their own fruit I do recommend taking them when it's a nice day.

I had a fantastic day at Kenyon Hall Farm today! It's an excellent place to visit for all ages, especially if you enjoy fruit picking. I picked a variety of fruits, including blackcurrants, chuckleberries, and jostaberries. The rest of the fruits were still ripening, but there was still plenty to enjoy. The farm charges a very reasonable £2 for a box of fruit picking, which is great value for money. Kenyon Hall Farm has much more to offer than just fruit picking. The farm shop is filled with fresh, local produce and a wide range of unique products. The café is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy a coffee. The plant centre is impressive, offering a diverse selection of plants and gardening supplies. For families, the play area is a hit with the kids, providing a safe and fun environment for them to enjoy. One of the best parts about Kenyon Hall Farm is the ample free parking, making it easy to visit without worrying about parking fees. The toilets are clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience. Overall, Kenyon Hall Farm is a delightful destination that offers a great mix of activities and amenities. Really pleased they allow dogs into the new part of the cafe - it would be easier if we could enter via the new door, however, like when the roof is open, rather than have to cut through the shop (as dogs are not allowed in the shop).

We didn't mind when someone asked if they could share tables though. We bought plants, veg, cakes and had lunch. I am gluten Intolerant but had the soup and a sandwich which the chef checked and also brought it out himself. I think the only downside but this would bother some people more than others is that our drinks took longer than the food, didn't bother us but the people who shared our table had a moan about there's. I'll be sharing on various gluten free groups as it was absolutely lovely. Will be back soon

I have frequented the Horseshoe, Croft, on a number of occasions. On entering you may be forgiven for thinking that you have fallen through a time warp and gone back in time. Textured walls, high picture rails with plates balanced precariously, sixties style chandeliers (no bulbs) and that smell of a real pub which can only be achieved after years of beer being spilled on the Axminister carpet. If you enter from the front you are met by a low ceiling with olde world beams. To the left there is a paneled room and ahead a small bar. I always enter from the rear, as is my want, and I am, usually, greeted by four or five regulars, sitting at the bar like a Grumble Weeds Reunion. All give a welcoming grunt before carrying on complaining about things like life, body parts which are causing them pain or the price of cumquats in Aldi. The food is tasty and wholesome and there is a good choice on the menu. However, if you are a regular ‘Eater’ I don’t suppose it would take you long to tick all of the dishes off. They tell me that the squirrel in aspic is a ‘Must Have’. As far as the staff are concerned, I cannot speak highly enough of them. All very enthusiastic and helpful and willing to give a candid opinion on your choice of food. Likewise, the bar staff are extremely amiable, and I would like to give a particular shout out to Hannah whose smile lights up the room and who runs a very tight ship. There is a good selection of beers and other refreshing, fizzy, beverages and a cask ale. All in all a great little place, good food, good beer, great staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Unless, of course, you bump in to Peruvian Pete, the three fingered Poker Dealer from Wigan.

I called in late afternoon, so it was quite empty, as you would expect at that time of day. I can't comment on the food , because I didn't eat. The manager was very welcoming, and they had a great selection of beer and lagers at the pumps.

We had a fantastic stay at The Partridge as a birthday treat for my partner after travelling down from the Scottish Highlands. Neal, the General Manager was an absolute gem and was very kind to accommodate some special requests for our arrival. The room was very generously sized and we slept so well in the HUGE bed. The under floor heating in the bathroom added a little bit of luxury to our walk in shower and I was very happy to be able to sit in front of a mirror and do my hair in the morning which I don’t always find possible when staying in other hotels! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the quality of the food was fantastic. The young ladies working in the restaurant in the morning were so friendly and polite and checked on us through our meal. We will definitely be returning again to The Partridge for a longer stay, one night wasn’t enough! Thank you to Neal and your lovely team!
