Very disappointed with the sandwiches we had from here yesterday. The food was very poor with stale bread and the sausages were undercooked and of a very poor quality. Unfortunately I won’t be ordering from here again.

Me and my work colleagues ordered from here for lunch today, which we have done quite often over the years. It was not a good experience, when I rang up to order the man was extremely rude on the phone and not very friendly at all. He was telling me to hurry up as the phone call was taking too much of his time. Aswell as not having half the things on the menu, which he was also very rude about, it was like he didn't want our custom and couldn't be bothad. The quality of food was also not up to standard not very fresh and one of the sandwiches were stale. Sadly this has put us off ordering from here again.

undercooked sausage, absolutely VILE

Don't know what's happened to this place, was good for years but the past 2 times have been far from the usual. Sausage are NOT butchers as advertised, the bacon looks like it's come from Chernobyl and half of the coating from the hotplate was stook to the egg. Alarms bell were ringing when they made me pay first. I don't know what it tasted like as I never took a bite.

Food was not nice, the quality of the breakfast is very poor. Ended up giving the baguette and bacon on toast to my dogs. Cheap ingredients and cold food. Bacon was dry and hard, like it had been left all morning, eggs were cold, mushrooms were raw. It used to be brilliant a couple of years ago. In fairness the place itself was very clean inside.

Unfortunately, I have to lower my rating of the place. Since it has had a new owner, the food quality and service have dropped quite considerably. Which is a shame as the food here used to be food to die for. But sadly, not anymore.

First time ordering from here. Really enjoyed the food, was fresh and plenty of meat and very tasty. Missing a wrap on the shawarma but overall not bad.

Bread is stale on both sandwich’s - rock hard. Inedible

I used an app delivery service this morning to order breakfast for my family from this restaurant. I ordered: 1 x Dirty Double Mega Breakfast 2 x Full English Breakfasts 2 x Bacon Sandwiches At the point of order, the estimated delivery was a 25 - 40 minute wait, so I went ahead and placed the order. Food due by 11.40am 👍 At 11.40am I checked the delivery app which informed me the restaurant was still preparing my food. It finally arrived 1 hour 25 mins after ordering. Food was barely warm on arrival and there was an issue with every item I had ordered: The Dirty Double Mega Breakfast was missing the mushrooms as advertised Both of the Full English Breakfasts were missing the 2 sausages as advertised One of the Bacon Sandwiches was served on white toast rather than the "fresh bread" as advertised. The other Bacon Sandwich was not received. This was really disappointing.

It used to be nice before the new owners ... got a cheap and nasty bacon roll, precooked bacon and it was cold and chewy, cold stale bread roll, will never eat there again. The man was rude and looked miserable and couldn't even be bothered to speak to me.

Very friendly staff and exceptionally good food plenty of free parking outside the shop. Highly recommended to all give them a try you won't be disappointed. Just a couple of tables inside the shop each one seating 2 people ☺️👍

Absolutely disgusting food. It was ready 4 minutes after we ordered which shows the guy didn't even Cook it, it was clearly pre made as it was cold and the bacon and sausage was so underdone it was hardly edible. Bearing in mind we asked specifically for crispy bacon. Never again

Awful place now, orders are never right, staff leave you waiting ages before asking what you like then shake their head when you tell them what you want!

My order was wrong I didn’t ask for brown sauce on my baguette yet I got it an I don’t like it can’t eat it also asked for corned beef and got normal beef not happy at all

Absolutely disgusting. Food was freezing the driver didn’t even have it in a warm bag. Driver just stood outside on his phone didn’t even come to the office doors.

This place always had people queuing out the door and was amazing but since changing owners it’s gone downhill. Two times I’ve been, it’s been closed. Every time now there are different people in there. Last time, the correct order was written on the paper bag but when I opened it, it was a completely different order. Food is good, nothing like it was, but still ok. It’s just lost its touch with the same friendly staff I’ve seen over the years and I never see it busy anymore. Shame as it was a gem in the area for so many years.

I use to order from use alot. Really gone down hill. Would avoid... Asked for toast got bread. Who wants bacon mushrooms and cheese on bread. The bread was just dripping with oil will NOT be returning . Disappointing

Unable to ring as it rejects calls ….. sausage and bacon toasty was on bread with brown sauce when never asked for that it was toast with red , 2 year old child delayed eating due to simple mistakes and large breakfast for what you pay is poor quality … won’t be ordering again

Give this place a wide berth and save your money. Been coming to this butty shop for nearly 20 years, and in all honesty it's been one of the best around. That is until it was taken over recently and now this once loved shop has become a absalute joke and must sadden the previous owners. The girls working there are trying there hardest to maintain the previous ethics of the shop but sadly its long gone. Food is now normally out of date and stale tasting. The prices have been put up so much that you leave there feeling robbed and with stake food in your stomach. This of course is if the place is actually open, wich seems to be getting less and less by the week. Telephone orders you may awell forget about, phones either cut off or it just rings through even when no customers are present, I know this because I work across the road from it. In summary a once great reliable butty shop is no a sham wich treats its employees and customers with zero respect or gratitude, stay clear folks save your money and fund yourself a new breakfast shop

Only reason I haven't give full 5☆ is because my bacon, cheese and muahroom baguette I ordered came with no bacon. Already taken a couple bites when I realised there was absolutely no bacon on it so I guess it couldn't of been replaced for the correct baguette. The other sandwiches I am told were really nice, hence the 4☆ review.

Called in today for two eat in full English breakfasts and two teas .Don't know the names of lady and gent present on duty at time but it was cooked perfectly Thankyou you just got two more customers when passing again 👍👍😋

Ordered with specific request of No Butter due to allergy but obviously somebody was unable to follow a simple request. Sandwiches couldn't be eaten so money wasted but at least my dogs enjoyed them 😡

Didn’t read the notes. Breakfast was cold, mushrooms were barely cooked, I ended up re cooking it all. Sandwich had different meat with a note stating they didn’t had what I ordered. Absolutely terrible, would not order again.

Always loved Food 4 Thought, great food and Peter was always very welcoming and friendly. I haven’t been in for quite a while but decided to go in this morning for a breakfast with my sister. After placing our order we sat down to wait for it to cook when an Uber Eats driver came in to collect an order. He was pleasant as he said to the lady behind the counter “Uber order” he wasn’t rude etc. the server said she wouldn’t be a minute and proceeded to go into the back. She then mimicked the guy to her colleague, copying what he had said but with a tone/attitude to her voice. This could be heard on the shop floor by myself and my sister and most definitely by the Uber driver. I made eye contact with the guy and smiled and then myself and my sister proceeded to talk amongst ourselves about how rude it was. When the server came back, she appeared to read the room as the smirk disappeared off her face. Obviously realising that she had been heard. Honestly the food was great but that has really put me off going back. If you don’t like Uber drivers coming into the shop then don’t offer that service. I really feel sorry for the guy as he just had a job to do like the rest of us. I left the shop feeling as angry as if it was me she had mimicked.

Pointless leaving instructions or notes for your order. Ordered the other week, no mushrooms, extra red sauce, came with no mushrooms and no red sauce. This time, “Please no mushroom on breakfast, but can I please have extra red sauce”, got mushrooms and no red sauce…can’t be any clearer.

Fast service wrong order completely, called them they was aware wrong order asked what I ordered I told them full English with OJ they came out within 25 minutes said sorry but put apple juice in the bag not OJ

Didn't take it literally when they said 'white or brown bread'. They literally put it on bread. Bacon and egg on bread??? Who does that?? Horrendous

Original delivery time was 30-35 minutes but took 1 and a half hours for 2 sandwiches . In that time I could of made a full English washed up and had my car valeted. To top it off not even so much of a sorry for taking that long . Terrible customer service , people have to work and can't afford to wait a hour and a half. Won't use again due to this reason very disappointed and angry.

Ordered a full breakfast - Amazing as always arrived on time, hot and tasty. Great delivery person kept the box flat so food presentation was spot on (not splattered all over the place).

I’ve ordered from here a few times now and it’s usually fine but this time round it wasn’t the best. The mushrooms and hash browns definitely need cooking for longer, it all tasted like it was rushed and I was missing toast with 2 of the breakfasts. I wasn’t going to write a review but I did try to call the restaurant twice and no one picked up.

great food, nice and hot! had to speak with the shop as the delivery driver had made a complete mess of the food holding the food on it side! the person at the shop could not be more apologetic and explained the drivers are supplied by Just Eat and they would provide the feedback. - did not effect the quality of the food :)

Great customer service, had a note in the bag off Debbie apologising they were unable to get brown baguettes at the moment, that was a nice little touch.

Needed afternoon tea delivered as a last minute surprise for our daughter, contacted them the evening before online, they were very responsive & helpful Well we were not disappointed at all, the quality of the food was top class, all fresh & very tasty, the sandwich fillings were plentiful, the mini cakes went down a treat as did the scones along with the jam & fresh clotted cream. They even went out of their way to buy a congratulations card for me & also delivered them even though their van was out of use on that day. I would recommend Food 4 Thought for their quality, service & going above & beyond to make our daughters day. WELL DONE, looking forward to using you again.
