Its lucky that you come to Kempton for more than this restaurant! Been coming to the Chase day meeting in the Panoramic Restaurant every year for about 12 or so now and they just cannot get the service right. Always leave feeling a bit grrrrr! Its annoying given its not the cheapest of ways to enjoy racing!

Positives cheap family day out, no extra charge for parking, not crowded. Negatives limited food availability, unfriendly bookmakers, poor atmosphere everyone sat in restaurant doesn’t come down. Restaurant was fully booked so only food available was fish and chips. On the website said pizza and other things available so didn’t bother to do a picnic but when we arrived a lot of stuff closed. In the day we visited there was no capacity in restaurant because of 2 coach parties so book ahead. If you want a meal and watch races this is for you but for ordinary visitors this does not have the fun of other venues like Windsor and Goodwood. These courses are much more family friendly and more for the kids to do. Last year my daughter met some jockeys and was totally absorbed by races I wouldn’t come back

We were not aware that this racecourse was under threat. It doesn't have many meeting but the place is perfect. Easy to get too and good parking. It was really busy when we went and looked in good condition. I am not keen on horse betting away from a course but we had a fling and ended up with a little more money than we started with. Save Kempton by supporting it.

Me and my mam are always going here during the week for the AW racing and the entry fee is reasonable and the track is superb. The access you get to the horses and parade ring is second to none. Seeing the usual bookies their every week and having a bet and a laugh all adds to the experience, also met some extremely nice people who like us attend regularly, it really feels like a close nit community out enjoying themselves. Food I must admit is not very good and way too overpriced and not a healthy option in site take my advice and bring your own. Drink is on the expensive side as well but that is to be expected. I’m a Guinness man I got to say there’s is superb up there with the beat pints I’ve had. All in all a wonderful track with lovely friendly staff. I’ll be gutted when this gets knocked down

Table of 11 booked for Big day out. Great table, excellent views of course, service was excellent too, waitresses and tote girls friendly and helpful. Food was good, tasty and well presented, only the fish option was disappointing, portion was suitable for a child, rather than a adult man. Been to Sandown, Goodwood, Lingfield but Haven’t been to Kempton before, would recommend and would certainly like to return again maybe a summer meeting.

Family of 5 attended the races on Easter Saturday. It is a great venue with plenty of parking and space. Venue is quite large inside and out. Free pony rides which the kids loved and the petting farm was lovely. Plenty of children and couples it caters for everyone. The food is pretty good, better than I expected. We ate from the fish and chip bar. Adults tended to hog seats and tables. They would run outside for the race then come back in after hoping to keep their seats at tables which we soon learned was the reason why they left coats and drinks on the tables. It was irritating as we stood with kids eating for a while. Staff just shrug shoulders. Upstairs in one of the suits they had good entertainment for the kids which was great to keep the young ones busy. Good family day out.

Only decided the day before to visit, but was able to pre-buy the tickets and pick up at the location on the day. This saved money as advance tickets were slightly cheaper. The facilities were very well maintained throughout the day, especially for the amount they were used. Everything seemed clean and tidy all day. Food and drink reasonably priced.

First time at the races on Boxing Day. Went along with family and friends and had such a good time. It helped we won on every race but one! The mulled wine and hot pimms was a must, but the ladies toilet queue was ridiculous - 15 minute wait! Didn't eat there, took our own food!

First visit to kempton park, and pre- booked the panoramic restaurant. Right from front admission gate through to waiting staff and tote table attendants staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much bother and on arrival in the restaurant we were offered an alternative better table that had come free. Great view of course with own personal to screen on each table. Food was very good as was speed of service. Left wanting to come again, weather was great but even on a wet day no need to venture outside, balcony view of parade ring gives a great view of horses if you want to chose your winners on looks. Recommended.

Day out at the races for my brother's birthday. Four course menu was £89 per head excluding drinks, so we were expecting something towards the higher end of standard restaurant fare. Food was nicely presented but very ordinary. Saddle of lamb was overcooked. Puddings were mass-produced offerings much as you'd find at a Harvester. Argento Malbec @ £27 per bottle - we thought was pleasant enough but you can buy it at Magestic for £6.99. Not reasonable to put a 20 quid mark up on supermarket plonk. Racing was brilliant but probably would've been a better option to pay £9.60 entry and a fiver for a burger.

Kempton Park is a lovely racecourse and the atmosphere is consistently warm, friendly and professional throughout. The Panoramic restaurant offers a really comfortable ambience for an enjoyable "day at the races" with its spacious layout and excellent view of the track. We've booked several times in the past few years and the staff have always been first class. The Panoramic offers package deals on selected dates (for example, Saturday meetings) which are worth buying if you prefer to be indoors and enjoy the action at a private table with tv screen, attentive bar staff and no need to venture outside to place bets, especially if the weather is poor. However, the menu for these packages sometimes disappoints - no starter dishes and just three mains and three puddings to choose from. The puds are very good but the culinary standard of the mains can be very variable (pre-prepared and warmed up rather than freshly cooked). This is a pity as the overall experience of spending a few hours here is otherwise very good indeed. Ona recent visit, the salmon was lacklustre, the venison sausages and black pudding mash bland and the chicken uninspiring, pasty coloured and only luke warm. Ambience 10 out of 10 but, as the package is pricey, food only 5 and really ought to be better, I'm afraid.

I ate here this weekend whilst taking in some racing. The food was pretty good but the service was even better. The staff really made an effort to make things easy for us and from the moment we walked in till the moment we left they were all brilliant. These guys are well drilled and a credit to The Jockey Club. What I really liked about the Panoramic is that you are not crammed in like sardines. There is ample room between tables so it has a private spacious feel. The food and alcohol are not too expensive here either. I can't recommend this enough if you are thinking about going racing at Kempton. Its great to have a table that you can leave your stuff at all day and as Saturday was a cold day, it was lovely coming back to a nice warm restaurant with views over the course after putting our bets on at the rails. I'm getting a bit too old for hanging about cold concourses between races these days so I will be booking the Panoramic for any future visits to Kempton Park.

We visited Kempton Park for their Twilight race meeting and booked a table in the Panoramic Restaurant - what a great experience! We were fortunate enough to be sat in the front row, right opposite the finishing line. Our table for four was very comfortable, with a small TV at the end helping us watch the coverage and some racing elsewhere. Once the Kempton Park racing was underway we ordered our starters and main courses and the service was fine, unhurried and relaxed. The food was all very tasty and served with a smile. The Tote ladies walked along taking bets at the tables and it was a wonderful way to go racing on a cold evening, sat in warmth and comfort enjoying a good meal. Although we aren't local, we will definitely be back.

The food at this racecourse was good. I was lucky enough to visit the owner's enclosure on 27th January. The food on offer was basic but enjoyable. The soup was flavoursome, if a little watery. A group of 18 of us decended on Kempton to sample the delights of an evening's racing together with the hospitality of the Panoramic restaurant. The setting is very informal and no dress code is in operation which makes for a relaxed environment. We were split into three tables of 6, each table has it's own flat screen TV and betting is available at your seat from the very friendly tote staff. The view of the course is exceptional positioned just to the right of the winning post. We all opted for the 2 course menu with a glass of bubbly on arrival. The starters were tasty but a tad small so I wish I had opted for a main and a desert which looked a much better option. For my main course I had a steak which was exceptional, well cooked and with the perfect amount of fat. The table service couldn't be faulted and I would recommend this night out to any large group looking for an evenings entertainment. I will be returning.

We are keen race goers having been to many courses in the UK and afar including Dubai America and Australia. This was our first visit to kempton we went for ladies day and booked into the panoramic restaurant. We were not disappointed. First of all for me I was relieved how near the car park is to the course as wearing heels and having to trek an age through grass and uneven ground to a racecourse is the norm but here literally a stones throw away with ample parking. The restaurant staff were amazing we had a great view of the track on the lower tier of the restaurant. The standard of food was some of the best I've had at a racecourse exceeding that of meydan course in Dubai. Overall a lovely course beautiful parade ring plenty of space every where. We will definitely visit again as we enjoyed it so much. Great atmosphere on ladies day some superb outfits.

I visited Kempton Park Racecourse for Ladies Day! It was lovely to see how much effort everyone else had gone to to dress up. The ladies were in dresses and hats and the men in suits. There is plenty to eat and drink. On Ladies Day they had a competition for best dressed, the winner won vouchers and flowers and had her picture taken. The horses were beautiful and we made many bets ( minimum bet is £2) . Everybody was cheering on the jocky's as they crossed the finish line and the atmosphere was pleasant. This is my second visit and i shall be returning.

Our first impressions of the restaurant were brilliant, we were sat by a man at the front desk who was very polite and welcoming. The tables have your own screen which is good so although we already had a very good view we could also watch on there. Despite this, it took about 25 minutes before our waitress came over to ask what drinks we wanted and FINALLY gave us menus. To which we ordered crab cakes, an antipasti sharer dish and skinny chips to share. Our food came quickly and the crab cakes were lovely although weren't as advertised on the menu, as were the skinny chips, also lovely but were fat chips. ( I know this is a minor thing but you do expect to get what you read on the menu! ) The antipasti sharing board was absolutely vile, the bread was completely stale and there was no hollumi on it as it said on the menu! After noticing how stale out bread is we saw loads of bread that had been left out on the sides and came to wonder whether they had been sitting there ages and once they were taken it to the kitchen we were given the bread that other customers had not eaten!!!!!! We wanted to send it back but we couldn't as no one had come over to the table to ask how our meal was, in fact our waitress wasn't around at all throughout the time we spent in the restaurant. It's a shame that the service was so bad as we could have ordered something else, but by the time she had come over all the races had ended and we just wanted to get out of there! It's a beautiful place but the service lets it down massively. Luckily the man at the front desk was kind enough to take this off our bill as we didn't eat any of it. A lovely day out none the less but stick to the fish and chip shop for food!!!!!!

In no way could this overpriced operation by The Jockey Club Catering be assigned the status as a restaurant worth visiting based on the food. Remove the view, the TV screens and the ability to place bets at your table and this operation would self destruct in 15 seconds. It started with a sanctimonious inquiry from a member of staff about whether we knew that it was going to cost over fifty pounds a person for two courses, as though we would run away after finding out the price. It continued with the spotty service and lack of attention, despite the huge numbers of wait staff that seemed to be operating without much effect. It took ages to get a glass of wine and some water, and after we got our orders in the waiting began in earnest. Eventually we made a game of guessing when our food was going to arrive and it took two races for the appetizers alone.Whomever designed the food was quite an artist, but lacking in any basic knowledge of taste or texture. The Thai soup had the eggroll dumped in it where it was a mushy mess and my salmon could have been from a can, with nothing else memorable on the plate. The my main course was even worse, with my duck breast over-cooked and tasting of liver, accompanied by what I assume were powdered mashed potatoes and a brown gravy from my childhood school dinners in the sixties. The braised pork belly with braised red cabbage and mashed potatoes drew favorable comments, but again it had the school lunch gravy flooding the bottom of the plate. For some strange reason, halfway through our meal a tray with 8-10 dinner rolls was parked on our table and stayed there for quite a while. We were unable to get a second glass of wine or a water refill and just getting the check took more than fifteen minutes. We left in search of food and drink.

We have a share in a racehorse with Homebred Racing so are pretty frequent racecourse visitors and have to say that Kempton Park's facilities, service and food really are consistently good. The Panoramic Restaurant certainly offers restaurant standard food if with a limited, but appealing choice of well cooked and very well presented dishes. For such a large facility the ambience is also surprisingly pleasant. A small gripe would be the wine list which offers a not very exciting choice which is overpriced. Being so easy to reach by road and rail it's a real surprise that Kempton's floodlit evening meetings are not better supported - a live sporting event and a quality meal for around £50 per head is really good value as really it offers great entertainment with more than just a bit of style…and having a share in a winner ridden by Richard Hughes capped a great evening for us!

I have visited many race course restaurants over the years but I have to say this is definitely one of my favourites. I've had two excellent experiences and even managed to win some money too! The facilities are very comfortable and the at table services mean you never have to leave your table at all.I must give top marks to the chef and his team who prepare great tasting and well presented meals with the package prices being very competitively priced.I last took some business clients who although stay local to the course had never experienced the restaurant - I certainly think they will be going back as will I.One slight niggle on the last visit was the heating packed up for a short while - although it hardly spoilt the evening, the next day I was called and offered complimentary tickets for a future date. I was pleasantly surprised and this well exceeded my expectations.Overall, I can only think of one or possibly two experiences that could rival Kempton so well done to the team there and I look forward to going back again soon.
