Kelsey House Bar & Kitchen in Bromley

Kelsey house is ideal for families yet not well suited for couples or intimate dinners. We went for a Sunday lunch and for the price it was a bit surprising considering at £25pp, we expected a bit more. All the expected trimmings were separated and had to be shared between the table, condiments like horseradish and apple sauce were absent, to top it off you had overly hard potatoes and just 1 slice of beef. Considering just round the corner you can get a 3 course roast for £24 is almost ludicrous. That being said, it's still a bar and the service was very friendly to make up for the food. Come here for drinks on a Friday after work with family.

Fantastic bottomless brunch. Great food, brilliant value for money and fast top ups! Customer service was second to none. Faultless experience and one I highly recommend. Really good to have Kelsey House back open again!

This was my first time eating at Kelsey House and I won’t hesitate to return. I treated my family to lunch, making a reservation in advance. I had to adjust the reservation 3 times and the staff was accommodating, kind and understanding. In addition, we had a baby in a pram. Once again, the staff could not have been more helpful. Our Sunday roasts were DELICIOUS!! We all left VERY satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice place to go for a nice casual drink

I recently visited the newly refurbished Kelsey House for a bite to eat and a couple of pints, and it did not disappoint! I had one of the best chicken burgers I’ve had in a long time – crispy chicken drizzled with honey, paired with a giant hash brown inside the bun. It was delicious! I also tried the Marmite fries, which were equally amazing. The staff were fantastic, and the overall experience was top notch. I highly recommend stopping by and can’t wait for my next visit!

Booked off a corner for a baby shower and all the staff at Kelsey house were so kind and friendly and accommodating. They let us set up with no fuss. I would highly recommend Kelsey house. Thank you for making the day run smoothly and a great experience.

Unfortunately its simply not doing it for us, Sunday lunch was a disaster. We waited an age for an extra chicken to be cooked. The food was cold when it did arrive, it seems it gone from too many staff.to now too few. The kelsey-house olde is very much dead in the water, and the new is a waste of my time and money. I've tried but I have to now accept its not working for us.

We went here for Sunday roast lunch. It was well presented and cooked, though the food could have been warmer. Some attention to detail was lacking, probably due to inexperienced staff (serving spoons for the vegetables, for example). Music perhaps a little loud for some tastes.

Food is as great, staff were attentive and atmosphere was entertaining!

We visited twice during the trial period & both times the staff & service were exceptional. The food we tasted was delicious; it was just unfortunate that we were the last booking of the day & choice was limited but the staff more than made up for it with their brilliant customer service. We're so please that Kelsey House is back!

Owner is absolutely horrible, cut off my wife to shout at a bartender. Most unprofessional, rude obnoxious guvnor I have ever come across.

Fantastic to see Kelsey House back open, we missed you. Really happy that the smell of grease has gone, great work. Lovely tasty roast, on the expensive side for the portion of meat received as well as the other options and price points for similar roasts on the High Street, however will be back as the flavours were great, also one of the best sticky toffee pubs I’ve ever had!!

We did wait some time between our drinks order to ordering food (10-15 mins). Food ( burgers ) were tasty & fresh. With under 50% of the venue full, it was exceptionally noisy. There’s no sound dampeners to subdue the noise. I appreciate you are dog friendly, but not everyone is. Possibly consider a dedicated are for dogs & owners. In a dedicated part? I really do not want a dog sat next to my table when I eating. We’d love to come back if some of the teething issue were sorted. Thanks

Kelsey House we're offering 50% off all food as they were introducing a new menu. We booked a slot for 5pm. When we arrived we were informed straight away that they had ran out of burgers and fish. We did expect this as it was just a taster evening. We ordered 3 starters. All were lovely, especially the ribs. My main of chicken, garlic mash and mushrooms was cooked perfectly and was very good. I was worried it would be too garlicky, but I felt it was just the right amount. Portion size was good. I was unable to finish my main which pleased my husband as he was very happy to take over. Staff were very friendly. Our waiter was Christian, who was extremely friendly and attentive. This looked to be a very busy day/evening for them but they were all still smiling when we left.

We had a fabulous Sunday roast. It was the weekend of the “soft opening” so food was 50% off - great food at a great price.

Cool vibe, homemade roast on a Sunday, also daily menu full of delicious options, great cocktail menu along with extensive range of gin/whisky/rum. Plenty of choice on beer and Ales, also many wines & champagne to choose from. Friendly staff and great clientèle. Must visit if in the area

The food was good. Although there was a deliberate delay by the bar staff causing us to miss out on the cocktails happy hour. Otherwise it was a good evening.

We all had a great night out! Such an underrated venue in Beckenham. Food was lovely and there is a wide variety of cocktails and alcohol available. Jack and his team are all really friendly and attentive. Always worth a visit!

Service was lovely. Door staff not so much - very odd behavior from them, my friends and I are 30, bought a bottle of wine at 11.40 then got told we had to be out in ten minutes. My husband was in the toilet and they wouldn’t even let me wait for him. I’d understand if it were busy and full of people drinking but there was maybe 4 separate groups and it felt like the ‘bouncers’ needed something to do bless x

Assistant manager shouted at my friend after we complained our drinks took half an hour to arrive, bar staff all very stroppy we didn’t feel welcomed. Celebrating our friends birthday and put a bad vibe on the event

We went for a sort time on a works drinks with the sharing platter. Food was hot and tasty and bar staff were very helpful.

Our anniversary dinner was great! We loved the Korean bbq wings and special of the day bruschettas for starters and our burgers! Our desert was lovely as well 😁 The cocktails are always amazing and refreshing, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere chill and relaxing. We can’t wait to try their brunch menu!

Noisy, very noisy. Ordered smoked salmon and cream cheese begal. Arrived with no cream cheese. Poor quality considering it was a tenner.

We celebrated my Husband’s 40th Birthday at Kelsey House and had a fantastic evening. I want to say a BIG thank you to Jack, James and all the team for being so helpful and attentive. You made the night run smoothly and made it a stress free process in organising everything; from my initial contact with you, to discussing the food and drink options, to checking in with me throughout the evening. All my guests had a great time and commented on how lovely the food was. Thank you for reminding me about the cake too ☺️ I also want to mention the DJ, he was brilliant and we loved the music he was playing. I would definitely recommend Kelsey House as a great location for a get together with friends and family.

Have been coming to Kelsey House Bar & Kitchen since it opened and it is absolutely brilliant. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. The drinks are great - tasty cocktails in particular- with a good happy hour. Stylish inside and outside seating, lively music. Really tasty food too - such a fun spot in Beckenham!

Have visited Kelsey house a few times and Colleen always sticks out as such a great employee. She’s attentive and makes sure everyone is satisfied with the service. She makes the experience perfect and I can’t fault her in her work.

The decor is cool and the staff are nice. BUT, It’s outrageously over priced. A pint and packet of crisps is £8. And get this, I ordered AT THE BAR the Peruvian char grilled chicken skewers on flat bread, £16.50 stated on the menu(over priced) , they then ADD A SERVICE CHARGE on top of that, but you don’t get any service! I admire the audacity 😂

Excellent staff; good-looking pub; decent range of beers

Such poor service asked for a gin and tonic was served a double without my knowledge and charged more than advertised rate. Apparently my fault for not specifying single as double is their default. Told I’m responsible for my alcohol consumption. Sure this breaches licensing laws. Argued rather than understand customers point of view. Good luck in future as local homeowners will not be going back and will advise all our friends.

Lovely vibe, great cocktails (a vote in favour of their Zombie) and super friendly staff. Slightly rowdy hen do killed the vibe a bit, but you can't have it all. Will definitely be back.

I went with a group of friends for drinks. It was quiet on a Tuesday night, but that was fine - we could talk without having to shout! The staff were all excellent - attentive and helpful. We had a good time so I was sorry to see there have been poor reviews recently.

Amazing bottomless brunch as always! It’s not our first and definitely won’t be our last! The staff are very friendly, attentive and keep your glasses topped up at all times. Food is very nice too! Kelsey house is one of our go to brunches. We never have any complaints and we know we will always have a fab time!

It's a nice place however the music was sooo loud, all the time. I mean seriously loud at 8pm Couldn't hear yourself think. Literally shouting to one another's ears and still it was hard to comprehend what the other person was saying. DJ blames the poor speaker system. Group of 15 of us literally left because of the volume.

Had a fantastic time here on Sunday with a few of my closest friends celebrating my divorce!! I wore a T Shirt which said “Fill My Glass, I Just Divorced That Ass” and Sheree and Isabelle took heed! They were brilliant and kept our glasses full the entire time so big thanks to them both! Food was great too! We all had such a brilliant time and our thanks go again to everyone there!

Me and my partner went for Lunch. Never been before and were greeted with a smile and made to feel so welcome. The staff were so accommodating aand friendly, and the food was AMAZING. Why are Katsu Fries not a thing in more places!? Will definitely be coming back!

My group and I had a fantastic time from the moment we entered. Jack was very attentive the whole way through. We couldn’t have asked for someone better to serve us. The drinks and food were great and I would happy come back here. With it being a week day I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I feel more people should come here if they have a day off in the week. My daughters took me for Mother’s Day brunch. If it wasn’t for one lovely waitress, the whole thing would have been a disaster. Our food order was not put through properly - one dish arrived 40 minutes before the rest. The person who appeared to be in charge not only ignored our situation but also ignored my daughter when she tried to ask for help. Disgusting! Such a disappointment when my girls had gone to so much trouble for me. Apart from one staff member, service was dreadful and inexcusable.

came here with our mum and for my first Mother’s Day. Ordered soon after arriving all together. Food took almost an hour to come and everyone got their food other than me. My Caesar salad took an additional 15 mins by which time everyone had finished eating their food and I was told there was a delay as a lot of orders went to the kitchen when ours did. I’m still confused as to why a plain cedar salad took over an hour to come and burgers etc came to our table fine.. the manager kept avoiding eye contact with me and only apologised once the food was brought over. No offer to remove from the bill just an offer of a free drink. Really disappointed after we chose to come here for a special day

Good selection of beers on tap (pleased to see Lucky Saint there as an alc free option), with nice atmosphere and surprising amount of space + booths. Staff also really nice, they dealt with a rude/loud table at brunch swiftly so they didn’t ruin everyone else’s time 👌

I had such a great experience with my friends here... Great food good value for money and absolutely amazing service by our waitress I would definitely go again... only thing was it was very loud with some birthday party but definitely a nice vibe... there was good selection of cocktails and the waitress ensured our glasses were always refilled

Fab night out, food was good, staff did not mind our ramshackle group arriving in dribs and drabs half getting food half not. We stayed right up till closing and they were very nice with reminding us of last orders etc
