Honestly this place used to be better... I'm led to believe they've changed staff...and it shows..

So my partner and I were visiting from out of town and we were suggested this place by a local leather guy as a cool venue to pick up. Cocktails so so and the general vibe is like a Lou Reed song without the charm. Bathrooms stanky but at least the pretty boy whose calling himself “Charlie” comes down to show you the tattoo he has on the end of….. you can imagine. He says only £40 to play, but no thank you!! The heart isn’t even done well and we all know what that sign means if You’ve ever been to prison don’t we? Skaters meet junkies meet body builders meet bikers meet unsuspecting suburbanites. What a blast! 11/10. Recommend. Insane.

Unprofessional security staff member was rude and hot tempered towards multiple people during our evening. Security staff have a duty of care and are hired to help keep people safe and prevent conflict but this particular staff member just seemed he was looking to create trouble and arguments with whoever he could for the fun of it. His behaviour was inappropriate and confrontational and just ruined the evening experience for us sitting right by the door! Food however, was lovely and they have a nice selection of drinks but staff ruined the night.

Service was fantastic. Food was brilliant! The Ipa's aren't gonna set the world on fire! But a good decent beer to chill with

Loved this place! Stumbled across it during an unexciting night in Bromley and found a little treasure trove! Great atmosphere (feels like a bar in the East Village New York) Great selection of rums (other spirits are available) and great live music! LOVE IT!

I went on a Saturday night. They had a live band playing, it was loud as hell. Loved it. Classic 90s and early 00s rock pop and metal tunes played afterwards. Drinks were about average price for Bromley, but they had a killer top shelf selection. Decor is rustic but I wouldn't change it.

Not obvious what is going on here. Very stripped down, no discernible décor, dubious service and potentially contemptuous staff(one member of staff didn’t like me asking about the fries or the burgers or the drinks!) Music – if you don’t like it (death metal and the occasional t-rex track (I like T. rex not death metal)) god help you, the staff are not keen on changing it. Dietary requirements – they don’t know what gluten free means so beware! Live music – does not sound good from sound check Give it a go but you might conclude it’s not worth a return visit!

Good little place, had short rib burger with chips and passion fruit neipa, both fantastic. Staff was good as well, place has unique vibe that you either like or not, we will definitely be coming back.

Not for me. Tiny place, DJ was awful and their equipment took up half the space. Would have been better if they had just had a good playlist going and put more tables in. Not a great selection of drinks either. Had one of the beers on tap and it wasn't great, very heavy and a lot of conflicting flavours. Bar staff were very friendly though. There's an outside bit with benches that you can sit at if you get your drink transfered to a plastic cup. Very steep set of stairs up to the toilets.

The vibe of this place is memorable. Food was really nice. Staff super friendly and they went out of their way to help us. I will definitely be coming back here and bringing all my friends! So much fun.

Amazing cocktails: check. Awesome burgers: check. Delicious wings: check. With a fun interior aesthetic and a chilled vibe during lunch, my friend and I had the most fantastic food and cocktails. If you live in Bromley you need to go here. If you live within driving distance of Bromley, you still need to go here.

Had a great night and a wonderful experience at the Carved Dive tonight while being served by the bartender, Aaron. Wicked atmosphere, fantastic drinks and being able to order the classics off menu really sold it for me! I'll definitely be back! 5 stars and big love all around <3 new favourite cocktail bar in Bromley!

First time visit tonight and without a doubt will be going back - bartender Aaron was attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable in all cocktails both on and off menu. Spirit selection was excellent as a well as the music, lighting and general vibe. Can't wait to try the food!

I've been for several enjoyable drinks here before and had a decent time, however the bartender (short & chubby white guy with a beard) was a tool this eve. He was aggressive and gave the impression that he was under the influence of class A's. What a shame! Would Be 4 🌟.......

Great dive bar, not a huge selection to eat of drink but what there is, is done very well. Good rock vibe too.

Fantastic independent bar with its own unique vibe. This place totally differentiates itself from all the other usual suspect pubs in Bromley. Craft beer selections are few but thoughtfully curated so don’t disappoint. Cocktails are amazing and there are more on offer than the menu suggests (as you can tell from the generous selection of spirits behind the bar). The food menu is also relatively simple but all of it is to die for and highly recommended. Table service has also been fantastic. Other venues can learn a lot from these guys. Book early to avoid disappointment!!

Do not attend carved dive at all cost!!!!!! The security guard took his cis badge off and offered to fight. Also over priced drinks, with little alcohol. Avoid at all cost

Good selection of spirits and cocktails. Serves ales and beers too. INCREDIBLE food. Live music and open mic nights are always very popular.

By far the coolest place in Bromley. It’s realness and authenticity is what makes it work. Love the new configuration. Give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

I get to eat here a lot since I work nearby. I like how the customer service is always excellent and they keep the spot well kept regularly. Rates are fair and they serve big portions.

The past few times I've gone here on saturdays, the male staff member on shift has got in people's faces quite a lot and been super rude over nothing, and acted a bit creepy towards our female friends. It's really off putting and I don't think our group will be coming back. Your female staff member on weekends is lovely but this guy is making this place unpopular now with his attitude. He got in my face the other week when we were leaving - no idea why as we hadn't done anything, we were literally just going home - and did the whole 'you know I work here right?' He just seems like he's looking for a fight and to bar people because he keeps throwing that out as a threat. Last night was no exception when we went on a Sunday instead, literally saw a guy ask him to book a taxi because his phone was out of battery and he refused for no reason - the guy was trying to be safe because he'd had a drink! - and when the guy called him a name because he was getting in his face and the guy walked off (the guy literally left and wasn't carrying on) he followed him down the road shouting at him, started waving his camera in his face and saying all the local bars have a WhatsApp group and they'd ban him. The guy didn't do anything particularly bad, he was reacting to how the staff here treated him when he was trying to be smart and not walk home late when he was doing that alone and drunk. Please tell him you can't actually ban people from every bar in an area without a police mandated court order you only get from things like violent behaviour, him acting like a nutter is doing you no favours. If you're the owner, please get rid of him, because you're going to end up losing all your patrons. Your drinks are ok, your food is good for a local place, but people aren't going to pay £9 or more for a single cocktail to deal with someone like that when there are plenty of other bars in Bromley reopening this week.

Last night I was drinking with friends at this bar, and witnessed some horrible behaviour by the male staff member on shift. A quite drunk man I've seen before in other pubs around Bromley and have never seen get in trouble like this asked for a cab to be booked for him, and they said no even though he was explaining he lived quite far away and was trying to be sensible and safe because his phone had run out of battery. He didn't refuse to leave or anything, he asked for help which wasn't provided. So they didn't care about his safety. Would they have booked one for me as a woman? This is what worries me. This isn't a big ask at a pub when someone is trying to be safe, it's not like he was asking them to pay for it, just to call one for him. He did then call them 'pr***s' and walked off to start walking home. Ok, he shouldn't have done that, but he wasn't violent or anything or extremely abusive - he was reacting to this man being aggressive in saying no in a very rude way - and left immediately. I watched the male bar staff member CHASE HIM DOWN THE ROAD, SHOUTING AT HIM, and start SHOVING A CAMERA IN HIS FACE claiming he'd get him barred from every pub in Bromley. The guy was really upset. I would be! He asked you for a safe way to get home when he clearly needed it and that was how you reacted? Were you just trying to make an example because this actually just made me disgusted at you? This isn't the first time the behaviour of staff in this bar has shocked me. Previously I've seen male bar staff hit on clearly very young women when they are much older, and seen a man try to tell a girl to stay with him 'after his shift' or she'd be barred. Honestly, don't go here. The nice drinks and ok food isn't worth it until they start reigning in the men that work here. I won't be returning until they start managing their staff a bit better, feels like the owner's mates have just been hired and aren't being told how to behave in a public setting.

Lovely friendly staff but extortionate prices for a small cocktail full of ice! I really enjoyed the feel of the bar but my advice is to stick to beer or wine!

Best burger in Bromley by far. “American approved”

This is one of Bromley’s best- the food is super high quality and portions are massive. Can’t wait for it reopening as normal but takeaway has been great also, super easy and efficient!

Didn't get to sit inside as we were not a household but even outside the vibes were amazing! We could hear the music and it was good. Drinks are very good value for money and the cocktails were especially delicious. 🍹🍸

Had the most wonderful birthday night out here. It might have been COVID times and we might have had to sit outside in the wind & rain (due to the limits on socialising indoors) but the food / drinks / staff were so wonderful and really tried to do their best to make my birthday night out the best it could be... it will be one to remember for sure. We stumbled across this place by accident and I’m so glad we did! If you are fed up with the continuous opening of chain restaurants and want something a bit different then this is for you. The service is great, the tunes are cool and most importantly the food is amazing.

Having a drink in small area in front outside but smokers toss butts onto pavement everywhere - scummy feel to drinking there - never again

Been here before but never for food and honestly I am mourning the life I wasted before having burgers at Carved Dive. We had one Jimbonator (I think that's what it's called) and a couple of Buffalo burgers as well as some fries and mozz sticks. The mozzarella sticks were pleasant enough, but the FRIES!!! They are dusted with some kind of delicious seasoning. Super tasty! The burgers are really special here. The buffalo burger was, frankly, sensational. The chicken is moist and tender, expertly cooked in a very crisp but light breaded crust and there is SO MUCH OF IT. TWO chicken thighs!! Enormous. The buns are brioche, the sauces are unbelievable and the ratio of sauce to chicken is just perfect. My pal had the Jimbonator and she refused to share it because it was so delicious, so I'm going to assume that it was also pretty good. The cocktail selection here is vast and they have a huge selection of spirits, so there's something for everyone. (The cherry cola fizz is amazing) The staff here are really friendly and know everything inside and out so can make detailed recommendations. They are genuinely very lovely people and it's quite clear there's a bit of a family vibe here. Carved Dive is also probably home to Bromley's most attractive clientele if you like people watching. Honestly, this is the best bar in Bromley. A real gem that I'm sad I didn't know about until quite recently. I'm pretty sure we'll return time and time again because it's got such a great personality, the music is cracking and the staff are fab. Long live Carved Dive x

Bar staff are wonderful and friendly. But cocktails are weak and no more Brooklyn lager on tap? No point going here anymore.

Been in a few times recently, the Vegan big Mac is superb!! The staff are brilliant, and the house cocktails are damned tasty. Just really good vibes in the place, to be honest.

Insanely good burgers, great music, and the team are absolute legends. This place fills up quick so get in early. Highly recommended and by far my favourite bar in Bromley.

Carved dive is a refreshing departure from the norm in Bromley. The food is absolutely incredible, the bar selection is enormous and very good quality, and the team are super friendly. Music ranges from Hip Hop to Grindcore, outdoor seating is available... I recommend this place to everyone in the area.

Had the O.G. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Tasted fresh and the flavours worked well together. Got served by a girl called Haydn. Very friendly and everything you would want in a bar. I would recommend this place over any other place in bromley for food and/or drink. The whole team makes you feel at home. I very rarely write reviews or ask a bartender for their name for the reason of writing one but this experience I’ve had has put this bar at the top of my list for bromley. Will be returning very soon!

Relaxed and chilled out bar which stands out from the crowd. Came here on a Friday night for some old school tunes, friendly staff and generally chilled out place to enjoy a drink and some pretty good food as well.

Like it's sister site in Bexleyheath, Carved Dive is awesome. The food is unmatched in it's quality and taste. If some tasty as hell food is what you're looking for, then this is for you. They also have a bigger bar here, so bigger selection of beers and a whole cocktail menu, both of which are worth several visits to try out. Overall this is a great spot to eat, drink, hang out and generally have a great time in.

Really friendly nice table serviced bar for good cocktails and other selection of drinks, no hot snacks but cool back ground music not to loud. Really enjoyed four hours with friends and family there. I would def go again

I went here the other night with two of my friends. It’s a quirky vibe when you get in and all the seats are wooden benches. As you walk in the door there is a sign that says mind your head because there is a projector screen right in front. This screen just shows music videos when the music is being played but it’s in a silly place. The cocktails were really nice but slightly expensive and they were small glasses. I ordered tender chicken strips and chips. The chips were lovely but the chicken was a tad dry. When I got home that night I was sick and after looking at their food hygiene rating (3) I understood why, I got food poisoning! The music playing was from a playlist which we heard twice so we asked if they could change it. It was hip hop night but they said they would put some house music on which they did. The signage outside isn’t great so if your looking out for it look closely. The staff were really nice and friendly. They also ran out of certain ingredients for the drinks which meant you couldn’t have them.

Estaba vacío en este momento, así que decidimos sentarnos en un puesto.No hay menú para niños, así que pedimos a nuestra hija unas ofertas de pollo que ella comió con mi esposo y estaban deliciosos.Tuve la hamburguesa que fue una de las mejores hamburguesas que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Tuve los tots que eran muy agradables, como las patatas fritas que mi marido tenía con su filete de queso.Había mucho en el menú que quería probar, ¡así que definitivamente volveremos!Tuvimos algunos cócteles en la hora feliz que eran encantadores.El lugar es peculiar, el personal amable y la comida increíble! What an awesome place. Firstly... the staff are awesome. Go, get to know them, get the chicken wings and the hotlinks. Second... the music is great! I dont remember when rock night is... but the music is sweet. In fact... I'm heading there now.

Exactly what this town needed. Food is out of this world and cocktails are top shelf, always nice to ask the bar staff for something special. It’s quickly becoming my second home !

We ordered a long Island iced tea each, we've had many of these and know how strong they are, the menu even warns of the strength of it and says only two allowed. They were terrible, weak and small, overpriced is an understatement. This isn't central London, price accordingly. Bromley hasnt gained much here and any restaurant that offers 0 veggie options is already off to a bad start.

Was looking for a lively place in Bromley for family and friends to celebrate my daughters 15th Birthday and Carved Dive did not disappoint. We had a big spacious, clean table at the back of the restaurant. The moment you walk in you are greeted with the most friendly welcome from the staff who all seem like a tight team. They were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble - drinks orders taken immediately whilst you peruse the menu. Cocktails are delicious. The menu is simple but outstanding and reasonably priced too. The burgers put other specialist burger places to shame. You have a choice of chips or tots with your meal. Tots are like little balls of hash brown that blow your mind. Do not expect low calorie! You’d think that review is enough to send you rushing to book a table but there’s one more thing that sealed the deal for us and will keep us coming back again and again... and that’s the music. Friday nights is old skool hip hop, not too loud that you can’t talk but loud enough to make you feel you’ve had a wicked night out - 10 out of 10 for atmosphere. There is nothing else like this in Bromley. Go try it for yourself, you’ll not regret it.

Went to the original restaurant in Bexley heath and was blown away....then THIS bad boy opened right round the corner from me and all i can say is sorry "diet but you will have to sit this one out"

Newly opened on East St., my colleagues & I decided to try this place for a birthday lunch and we're so glad we did! It looks a little shady in daylight, but deliberately so - the clue is in the name, folks!
