Kelly's Cafe in Nottingham

Decided I would give this place a try today. Never have I been so angry at receiving a cob. First the price was far too expensive. This is also based on getting two bacon and two sausage. Ya know, like allllll cob shops. No no, not this place, this place has the cheek to charge you £3.90 for a cob that has one slice of bacon, one egg and a teeny tiny little sausage patty. They must be working on 200% profit margins. I will never be returning and I will make sure anyone who comes on our building sites won't be going either. Absolute piss take.

popped in because I had some time to kill before a hospital appointment. thought it might be a bit awkward to be sitting in cafe for so long (45 mins). Ordered coffee and toast - I was offered a choice of instant or filtered which I appreciated because I find filtered coffee too strong. Coffee was nice. Ordered toast and was given two slices which surprised me as I wasn't charged much. Enjoyed the food and the staff were so friendly that it wasn't awkward killing time and, in the end, we chatted so much that I was almost late for my appointment. Would definitely recommend. friendly service, good value for money

Had a lovely breakfast at Kelly's Cafe. I opted for Breakfast option 1, with sausage, bacon (substituted for hash brown), 1 egg, toast, beans and tomatoes and tea included (approx £5). My partner had the veggie breakfast. It was clearly made fresh and very tasty. I had not come across this place before however we were in the area with 30 minutes to spare while our car was getting washed and spotted this place. It's the only cafe in the area and was almost the only thing open at 10 o'clock in the morning. The only downside was the fact that the conversation between the host and a customer was very loud, very political and included talking about Covid 19, talking about cancer and death. Whilst this is understandable, it did unfortunately result in a gloomy feeling as we were eating our breakfast.

We went here purely by chance. The food was great and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The only thing I would change would be that they get a proper coffee machine

We eat here every Saturday before golf Always a right laugh. Kelly is a proper host and looks after us really well. Banter is off the scale Food is great. Fresh, quality produce served with a smile. Excellent value for money too Do yourself a favour - don’t give your hard earned dollar to chains who don’t give a toss about you. Support local business

Kelly’s provides a great breakfast and lunch. The sausages are patties rather than skin on and taste great. I have a No.2 breakfast comprising two rashers of bacon, 2 sausage patties, an egg, beans and tomatoes (sometimes replaces by mushrooms), a decaf coffee and two rounds of toast. £6.25 and great value. It will never be Michelin, it’s a cafe and serves cafe food and drink.

Have to call for a breakfast whenever I'm passing Kellys. Been coming here for years and NEVER had complaint. Breakfasts are always freshly cooked while you wait and extremely good quality and staff are always welcoming and friendly. Excellent menu and a very wide choice.

Read the reviews thought I try it, well worth the visit food was great staff were nice and I will be going back ,parking a bit of a problem ,Three of us ate and all had a good different breakfast,and tea was hot.

I love the typical English breakfast ❤️ I paid 5 pounds. The menu was cheaper. The coffe wasn’t good but the food very good.

I live in Bath but went when visiting a mate. I would travel back there just for this breakfast again, then go back home.

My friend and I stopped off here on our way running errands, as he had been here before and recommended it strongly. He ordered us two large breakfasts and two cups of tea. Whilst this was being cooked, I was struck by the large map on the wall - it is of incredible detail and just the sort I want on my wall at home. Hopefully they will read this review and donate it to me! Anyway, the breakfast came and it was very good. The sausage comes in the form of a round patty, as opposed to your regular sausage shape. The vegetarian sausages are regulation shape though. The mushrooms were well done, the fried bread was not the sort of fried bread that you think will kill you as soon as you've eaten it, the beans were plentiful and yet not used to deceive the customer into thinking the breakfast was bigger than it was (a regular trick I find people try) and, most importantly of all, every constituent part was hot. The prices seemed reasonable and the service was excellent. I am glad I have been made aware of this place, and I will certainly look to be coming back.

Not breakfast with toast and cuppa is £5.50. Tea came with sugar in, toast was buttered ready to eat. Easy menu to follow on the wall. Prices good. Won't be my last visit.

I visit Kelly's far too often as I need my fix of full English. Don't expect fancy food or romantic lighting in Kelly's cafe...it is what the sign above the door tells you🤓 plus Kelly is #1 too

Went here Saturday just gone for a sausage cob terrible quality could hear the sausage being microwaved from the counter so god knows how long had been cooked before cheap tomato sauce staff rude

Been going here for years like to try other places but still end up here can't find better Small breakfast home made sausage meat bacon fried egg tomatoes beans with fried bread £4.50 a bargain and well cooked Do the best Lattes

The breakfasts in Kellys cafe are fantastic especially there sausage which I think is homemade. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend.

Great breakfast, everything is cooked fresh and is nice and hot, I go to this café every time I'm in Nottingham and for me the best way to describe the breakfast is its just right need nothing more saying

Encontré este lugar hace algunos años cuando trabajaba en la Universidad de Nottingham y desaparecer para un desayuno. El precio era bastante barato, así que tomamos un desayuno completo.. WOW.. huevos hechos a la perfección, salchichas de carne (que prefiero), bacon, judías, tomates, champiñones, morcilla, dos rebanadas de pan tostado y un café, todo!! Volver cada vez que pueda. Alimentos gran, personal excelente, no podría mejorar si la probamos. 100% genuino.

I have been coming here for years for an amazing breakfast, and have Never been disappointed.I am pretty sure it is the only place that does the sausage meat, instead of the normal sausage, which is brilliant, but a massive selection of great food.Anyone who as never been here is missing out.

Kelly as the owner brings a lightness and down-to-earth sense of humour to the place, and it shows. Her food is awesome value for money, plentiful, and there's enough choice on the menu to satisfy the vast majority of tastes. If you're after a bit of banter, together with a full English feed and a mug of tea, there is no other place in Nottingham that is in Kelly's league.

Go on treat yourself can't miss it, it's under the flyover just past or before the QMC always get a warm welcome, bacon fried egg tomatoes mushrooms lorne sausage mug of tea for less than four quid or go large for a few bob more.

A regular breakfast & occasional lunch stop for me - always good food & great value for money. Very friendly & alaways a choice of papers around for a read

Meeting delayed at Science Park so found this cafe on tripadvisor and as stated before very good food and friendly staff enjoyed my visit and will return and definitely recommend if your in the area.

A Nottingham institution, Parkers has been serving the best breakfast in Nottingham for many a long year. Situated under the QMC flyover, this is THE place to visit on Saturday morning for their full breakfast. A word to the wise - go half and half (i.e., beans AND tomatoes).
