Lovely little cafe. They were just closing the kitchen when we five cyclists turned up, and stayed open to provide baked potatoes all round. Great food, nice people.

What a fantastic, welcoming environment, hidden inn the heart of the market place of Diss. Upon opening the door to a very delightful bell, we were welcomed by friendly and polite staff and a warm, clean, welcoming cafe emulating the delicious smell of cooked bacon. Zoe and her team of staff couldn't have been more accommodating. From greeting us at the door, to taking orders and serving the food. Now for the food... what can I say. The portions are a fantastic size, lots of variety and cooked to a very high standard. Great coffee too! We will definitely be back again.

Well what a delightful little find! After going to Diss for a day out, we came across this little gem of a cafe! It was busy, probably due to it being Market day and also due to it being so good. Staff were friendly and polite even though they were rushed off their feet. Lovely coffee and food was beautiful. Can understand tables get booked in advance!!! If you are in Diss, this is a must to place to go!!! My wife and myself will be returning. 100% recommended!!!😊😊😊

We happened to be in the area last week and came across this lovely little cafe. The outside is so welcoming and will be fantastic in the summer months and there is lots of car parking spaces. The cafe inside was so pretty and homely and we were lucky to get a table. The waitress was very friendly and advised us there would be a wait on the food as the cafe was full. We were happy with that and drank our drinks whist we waited. The wait turned out to be a lot shorter than advised and the food was definitely worth the wait. My husband had a full English breakfast and was very impressed with it. He also liked getting the black puddin. I had the BBQ baguette and really enjoyed it. The was so much I even wrapped some up in my napkin for later. Would highly recommend this lovely homely friendly little cafe. Just wished we lived a littler nearer.

We visited on market day we were told there was a short wait, we placed our order ordered coffees to be told thee was no filter coffee so had to have americano we ended up waiting 50 minutes for food. What came out was not very good. Ham egg and sauté potatoes and a sausage and bacon baguette with salad and coleslaw. The eggs were over down and the baguette had only 2 small pieces of bacon. Not worth the £8.50 per meal at all. No staff asked if we were ok or how the meal was. Will not be returning oh and the door bell is very annoying

Stumbled across this place by accident and so glad we did. In a lovely little building too. My husband had the full English breakfast which was great, and I had the Eggs Royale - such a generous portion. Usually you get half a muffin, one egg, a sliver of smoked salmon and a tablespoon of hollandaise. Not on this occasion, however. Whole muffin, two eggs, pile of salmon and about a pint of hollandaise. It was absolutely beautiful and the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely visit again when we next find outselves in Diss. They take payment when you order too, which is a really good idea.

Our son and I both had baguettes that were delicious and he washed his down with a milkshake that he was very pleased with. The staff were lovely and attentive, the whole team naturally went a bit above and beyond. I regret that I didn't have time to today, but I will definitely be making a point of going back multiple times to try their scrumptious looking cakes and scones. Set back from the High Street, look out for the Katie’s Kitchen board at the top of Hales Yard. A couple of minutes walk and you will be in this characterful quaint cafe full of exposed light oak beams. The staff are all so friendly. The full English breakfast was tasty and plentiful with 2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 free range eggs of your choice, sauté potatoes, mushrooms and beans. This is served with tea or coffee and two slices of proper bakery bread. Both the brown and white bread was delicious and very thick cut. There is no skimping on portions here! You can order a smaller breakfast or the vegetarian option. There are plenty of breakfast options - beans, cheese, eggs on toast, etc. The lunch time offerings looked fab too with daily specials. They also do homemade soup, sandwiches, paninis and jacket potatoes. We shared a toasted tea cake which was scrumptious. Unable to eat anymore at that time we took away lemon drizzle cake, coffee and walnut cake and a vegan crumble slice, all of which were delicious. The kitchen stops serving hot food at 2pm, it stated. There are tables inside and out. I can’t wait to return. Miss this at your peril!

Bright friendly welcome and space to both sit down comfortably without crowding others.Went for the all day breakfast ( well it was 1pm).Food arrived quickly, piping hot and a very full plate indeed. Lovely to see they use proper fresh ingredients of good quality and lots of it. Proper thick toast too just to top it off. Wife is fussy about certain things she doesn't like but they are happy to mix and match to suit everyone's tastes which is a nice touch.Very good value for money and left feeling very full and guilty that I had waited so long to try them out again.Needless to say it will be a very quick return back to try the rest of the menu!Best recommendation - try the full all day breakfast. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

We go most Saturdays for THE best cooked breakfast in Diss as well as going to Katie's for lunch during the week. The food is home cooked and delicious and all the girls who work there are so lovely & friendly led by Katie the owner.

Our bike club visit Katie's regularly and it's always a popular choice. The staff are super friendly and helpful, even to a bunch of wet lycra clad cyclists (which has been quite often this winter). There's always a good selection of cakes and breakfasts / brunches available for very reasonable prices. It's a fairly small place so if you're in a big group it's worth phoning ahead and they're happy to reserve tables.

I have visited many cafes and coffee shops within the Diss area and this is by far the very best. The staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome and at home. The service is excellent. The food is always cooked freshly and to a brilliant standard. There is always the option to tailor the food around your dietary requirements, all you have to do is ask Katie and she will do her very best. I really like the fact that the place is not stuffy or snobby, its just very relaxing and welcoming. Katie's Kitchen is also spotlessly clean. Very good value for money. Keep up the good work. Will see you again very soon. Thank you

We pop in whenever we shop in Diss. You won't find friendlier service anywhere, whether you're just having a pot of tea or sampling the lunch menu. They've even got a gluten free menu. Cosy cafe in winter, lovely to sit out and look at the mere in summer.Service with a smile - sets you up for the day.

Absolutely superb Sunday lunch. We’ve dined many times here and it’s always excellent. Today was flawless in every way. The menu is full of tempting and delicious choices, our starters were scotch egg and scallops. My wife had the roast chicken and I had the pork, accompanied with a lovely and generous selection of vegetables. Raspberry Bakewell tart was the perfect dessert. You could not fault the food in any way. Attentive and friendly service from the whole team. You will not have a better dining experience anywhere better. Well worth a visit.

Very disappointed. Arrived Monday evening for a 4 night stay for work. When I was shown to my room it was instantly obvious the heating had not been on. It's mild for the time of year but it's late autumn so would expect a little warmth. The member of staff said they would need to override the heating to turn it on. So I sat tight for about 15 minutes, still no warmth to the radiators. I work outside so fortunately I was dressed warmly. I returned to the reception twice but clearly unable to rectify the heating. I understand that sometimes things go wrong but it's the way you deal with the problem. The extent of this was "I've done what I can" obviously expecting this would a satisfactory resolution. I stay away for work on a regular basis and I had a similar situation which was resolved when they brought a heater to my room and the offer of breakfast in the morning. I was made to feel like I shouldn't be continuing with the issue. I decided to leave as the room was just too cold. Very poor experience considering this is hospitality.
