A lovely place to go to for those feeling nostalgic about streetside kati rolls in Kolkata. Both veg and non-veg options are available, and Kadak Chai to go with your choice of roll. Could be a bit less oily though! The interior is decorated with posters of old Bollywood movies, that adds character to the small but neat shop.

Fresh, tasty and super cheap quick service option. My aloo paratha was only £5 with a dip. It was busy on a Sunday but I didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes for my food. The wrap is pretty compact and a little greasy but overall the potato was soft and flavourful.

Delicious Kati rolls with a good variety of fillings to choose from. Called frankies in Mumbai and famous in Bengal, basicly a roti wrap with a delicious filling. These are available all over India. We love this place and have been popping in when we pass since it opened. My current favourite is the aloo masala rolls. The potato melts in your mouth and the flavour is outstanding. Not too hot and the mango lassi is the perfect accompaniment. This is the place to go if you fancy a smaller Indian meal and the old movie art on the walls is perfect.

It's a chain restaurant, so it lived up to the chain's name. As someone from Delhi I'm very particular about my Kathi Rolls. I ordered an Unda Chicken Roll with extra green chutney and extra green chillies. The good: It had all the components to make a good roll, the paratha was almost perfect, crispy and not too heavy so it doesn't bring down the taste of the whole roll. The chicken was well cooked, tender and juicy. The bad: The chicken didn't seem well marinated and didn't get to soak in all the taste. The roll overall lacked a creamy-ness I expected from the Chicken Tikka masala in it. Unfortunately, the common theme with a bunch of Indian restaurants here is they confuse masala and spice. I liked the spice level, but the thing missed a bit of masala.

Love the cool deco- old Bollywood photos and a very rustic Indian cafe look The food was very bland I ordered a kebab roll- it was mince meat but the wrap had no sauce or salad. Tried the chicken unda and shami kebab rolls here, but was disappointed. The chicken unda roll lacked the freshness of a freshly cooked egg, though the chicken and pink onions were flavorful. The shami kebab roll was very dry and crumbly, despite having a nice flavor. The rolls needed more sauce or moisture in the ingredients maybe a bit of fresh salad. The waiters were attentive and provided good service however the food was not. Since I arrived late, we had to eat outside. Good flavors, but it could be better.

This place used to serve good rolls 7 tears ago. Now the taste has declined. They seem to have already prepared the rolls and when they give those to you, they simply heat it again and give you. Thus, the filling inside is ice cold, the roti is cold. Initially they would freshly prepare everything I guess, because they took atleast 10-15 mins to serve. This time they brought the kati rolls to me in less then a minute. They were bland and cold. The roti was hard. The paneer was cold and not fresh. The Masala of the paneer achari used to be very tasty. Now there's no Masala. It's just the stale paneer sprinkled with some Masala guess. Initially it would be nicely marinated.

Having tried this a few years back in New York (where the staff there mentioned there's branches in London too), I've had this on my to-do list. Sadly it did not live up to my fond memory of the New York one. I tried a chicken unda roll as well as a shami kebab roll. The chicken unda roll didn't taste like the egg was freshly cooked onto it - I suspect either they made them in advance or it was cooked for too long - this really makes a difference between it being fine and amazing. The chicken itself has a nice enough flavour, and the pink onions add nice contrast. The shami kebab roll was very dry, to the point that the 'croquette' was basically crumbly dry minced meat. The flavour was nice, but it needed more moisture. One huge gripe I have - charging 50p for a tiny pot of sauce on top of the already quite high price is a bit of a p*** take in my opinion - they should offer one free pot with each roll given how dry they are (or at least sauce up the contents of the Kati rolls a bit more). All in all, there are good flavours here, but it's not quite as good as it could be.

Chicken properly marinated and spicy unlike majority of Jamaican food shops, rice and peas to die for, cosslaw is amazing and I don’t even like veg, the hot gravy is amazingly good on the rice. This is closet thing I’m going to get to Jamaican food in Uk.

Wonderful, delightful Indian meal that hit the spot for us after visiting the Frameless Art exhibition. We ordered the chicken lollipops, daal, Pani puri and the chicken biryani . Daal, chicken biryani were outstanding. Pani puri.... Something different to try with an explosion of flavorful. Not too impressed by chicken lollipops which were essentially fried chicken with a tasty coriander/ chili sauce. The lollipops were not hot enough temperature wise. However, other than this small critique, service was professional, kind and friendly. Discretionary service charge already included in bill at 12.5%. Thank you to the kind, attentive hostess who noticed my friend had difficulty going down the stairs to get to the bathrooms. She immediately escorted her to the elevator hidden by a curtain.

I had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I can confidently say it's one of the best culinary experiences I've had. The food is nothing short of amazing, showcasing a variety of flavors and dishes that are sure to please any palate. The brothers who own and operate the restaurant are incredibly passionate about their craft, and their commitment to quality is evident in every bite. One of the standout features is that everything is made from scratch, which truly elevates the dining experience. You can taste the freshness in every dish, from the sauces to the sides, which are prepared with love and attention to detail. Moreover, the restaurant itself is always impeccably clean, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for diners. It's also consistently bustling with customers, which I believe is a testament to the high-quality food and service they provide. Seeing the restaurant packed full of happy patrons is always a reassuring sign of its popularity and success. Overall, I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a memorable meal!
