For our office summer social we went for a wine tasting evening at Kask. They selected a great variety of wines for our tasting, all distinct and interesting. Kevin who ran the wine tasting for us was great, providing detailed information about the wine and the winery it came from as well as the processes they use to make the wines. Would definitely recommend either going for wine tasting event, or just popping in for a couple of glasses of wine.

We hosted a wine tasting event at Kask for a few clients and it was a great experience. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable, walking us through the various options as we guessed the wine based on the tasting notes. Food was also great, and staff were both friendly and attentive.

KASK provided all the wines for our wedding this weekend. We had a fantastic evening choosing them - Charlie was brilliant at talking us through their amazing range of options, all of them were delicious! Such a lovely bar and shop

We had our wedding party at Kask. Charlie and the team were wonderful, helping us to chose the perfect selection of wines and food for the event before hand, and then on the evening providing us with the most amazing service, making us and all of our party feel so welcome and well looked after. Some of our guests hadn't been to Kask before but told us how much they loved the venue and that they will be back. Thanks again Charlie and the team for making our wedding so special ! Went for a “wine flight”. Three wines plonked on the table at the same time with three cheeses and some Peters Yard biscuits. Very noisy, echo’s, and basic table and chairs. Couldn’t hear what the host was saying due to the noise from the party (no issue with people having a party, but the venue should not book couples on a wine flight at the same time as a party). The host was very pleasant and apologised for the noise, explaining they had several different do’s on, but surely the managers should have thought that through, I.e. don’t spoil a wine flight by booking it the same time as you take a party booking. Wine was average, cheese ok but at least the Peters Yard biscuits were excellent. Our view was a waste of money and much better experiences elsewhere.

Came for an event on Saturday, it's was booked out for us. Unfortunately they were completely unprepared and it was almost impossible to get served and then when you did, it took them a further 10 minutes to make your order. I think they were having problems with the beer tap but nothing was explained, we were just left waiting each time. no service/conversation was given, the staff just seemed to be stood around buffing glasses. We ended up cancelling our order as we only wanted another drink each before thinking about heading home but it was taking ages and we dodnt really know why as there was no communication. Food was lovely and the place has great vibes, shame the service was so disconnected, I think our friends who booked the event found it quite stressful as they wanted everyone to have a good time.

Such a lovely little wine bar. Discovered it for the first time whilst running some painting workshops through Upfest. Loved it and will definitely be going back. Just a lovely atmosphere, great wine, friendly staff and beautiful decor.

I was disappointed by my experience at KASK. The wine selection seemed correct but unfortunately, staff couldn't give recommendations or descriptions (I understand the waitress was new but this isno excuse for a wine place to have trained their staff to at least describe the wine list). They were accomodating to let me test the wine so I can make my decision. Once desicion was made, the wine was not served in original bottle but the most worrying part is that the white wine was served with no ice bucket. I understand that this was not the warmest day but 18C in the sun means that by the time we finished the bottle, the wine was getting warm. Lastly, we ordered some cheese and again, I found the cheese selection to be mediocre (there a cheesemonger almost next door). £11 for 4 slices and the crackers served simply hid the tast of the cheese. Also the butter knife made if hard to cut the cheese - for a wine bar I think this can be improved. I would come back and give it another try but some simple improvements could take this place to the next level.

Great place! We booked the back of the garden for my wife's Birthday, about 25 of us and there was plenty of room. The bar staff were really friendly and let us have a try of the wines, all of which were delicious.

Great wine list and delicious ‘bar snacks’ and love the atmosphere here - quite quiet and cozy, perfect for an intimate drink or with a small group of people. Friendly and helpful staff. I haven’t been outside to the garden area but heard good things! Always love to come here for a drink!

Great service and some interesting wine selection. The custom made bar looks really nice. Some cured meat and cheeses are available if you need a bite with your drink. I would definitely visit them again.

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. We went for the cheese and wine tasting and had a deliciously insightful evening. We had a great range of wine I hadn't tried before and the cheese was superb! I would highly recommend.

Great wine and tasty food. Be careful opening a tab and getting the bill at the end unless you are made of money though! Especially in a group. We thought we were being modest!

I recently celebrated my 30th birthday at Kask and the team there were incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout. Would highly recommend, the space there is wonderful, and the wine delicious!

lovely experience! Celebrated a birthday, staff were very accommodating. Ran their ‘pour tastings’ session on a Saturday afternoon especially for us. Atmosphere inside was great, wine was delicious; even with a bigger group they catered to all preferences :)

Only 4 white wines available. Service felt quite distant/dry, felt unfriendly. Wine list wasn't introduced or explained - just pointed out on board behind bar; difficult and awkward to read. No menus. Didn't ask what our taste or preferences were and generally seemed disinterested. Had to ask a few times to be served, felt a bit like a pub. Sundried Tomatoes with sourdough tasted unpleasant - quite bitter and lacking flavour. Atmosphere and interior nice style and lighting. Overall: distant service that felt unfriendly, good choice of red wines, food was ok.

Wine tasting evening. Great selection of wine and cheese. Good explanation of the history and the key production aspects of the wines. Definitely recommend.

Went for a cheese and wine tasting.

We are KASK regulars because their wine lists are always top notch and their staff are even better. It was such an obvious choice when we needed someone to provide the wine and run the bar at our 10th anniversary party. Charlie and the team absolutely smashed it! They helped us choose wine that all our guests raved about. They ran the bar at an external venue but brought the usual KASK charm. And they were a dream to work with throughout - with clear & quick communication, reasonable prices, and lots of thoughtful touches. We had an amazing party and can’t imagine it without KASK. Thank you!

Kask is wonderful, it’s unique and a fun experience. They do wine tastings which are excellent! They introduced me to orange wine. Great food as well as great wine. They’re also dog friendly!

My favourite wine bar in Bristol.

If you're only going to offer 4 main courses they have to be perfect, that is the whole reason for having a small menu. Unfortunately my dish was bland, standard, over priced and lacking in presentation. I also got served the vegan option when I asked for vegetarian. We also weren't checked on during the meal. I wouldn't go back at all.

I recently visited this wine bar, and it was truly great! The staff members are amazing; they are friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to recommend drinks that suit your taste. Their expertise adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.

Spent an afternoon wine tasting experience in Bristol with KASK. The choice of wines are very interesting, one African, and one Italian red wine, a white wine, one dessert wine with an extra glass of “in-between”, a half way way of red and white. I won’t get into details of the wine, on the whole the wine pairs the assorted savories beautifully. The pairing session is of great value and if we happened to stop by Bristol again we will have another round of their wine tasting experience !

For a tasting experience I would recommend elsewhere. Good for experimenting though, and for Eastern European wines they seem to know a bit about. If you’re a wine enthusiast you might enjoy it but as a place for a drink there are better options on North St.

Kask is a beautiful setting for a catch up with friends! We popped in for a glass of wine and some nibbles- the red pepper and sourdough was simply beautiful! The decor was stunning and staff and service were second to none! We will be back to visit!

Great atmosphere, dropped in after a meal for a glass of wine with friends. We enjoyed a glass of red, orange (yes, orange) and dessert wine. All delicious!!

Such a shame - great location and interior, but service is bad - every time I've been have been made to feel unwelcome and inattentive staff. Wine is decent (small selection), cheese was fab. Won't be returning after trying here 5 times or so and receiving same service every time.

An absolutely lovely night out on North Street. The wine is delicious! If you're looking for a place to enjoy a drink with some friends I'd highly recommend KASK! And get at least one cheese pairing while you're at it.

We had an engagement party here in the back garden area. It was so so good! The staff are wonderful, easy going but attentive and very relaxed. Wine was fantastic as was the food. Can't recommend it enough!

I had my 40th birthday at KASK on Friday night. We hired the undercover area in the garden and it was perfect for my party of about 25- 30 people. There are heaters in the garden and blankets for when it got a little chilly. It's such a pretty garden. The staff are super friendly, helpful, easy to chat to and made sure I didn't want for anything. They are all so knowledgeable about the wines and cheeses too. We are big fans of KASK, and it's mainly down to the staff, as we always feel so welcome, that's why people keep going back! 100% recommend KASK for any occasion! Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one :)

This place was at the top of our list for our long weekend trip to Bristol (from Germany) and they did not disappoint. Welcoming, friendly staff who know their stuff and delight in providing their guests with an authentic and laid back experience and all that at an affordable price. I would return to Bristol just to visit KASK again! Keep it up team 👍🏻

My partner and I reserved an area on the terrace to hold engagement drinks, and had absolutely the best day. The staff were brilliant and made us and all our friends feel really welcome, and the wine, food, and growing choice of beer/cider is all really tasty and great value. Highly recommend trying the Evolution Brut if it is a special occasion! Thanks again to the whole Kask team! You guys are the best.

We came along to the new Pour Decisions wine tasting hosted by Charlie and had such a lovely and informative evening. We tasted delicious wines we wouldn’t normally choose and learnt so much because of the unpretentious, relaxed atmosphere…so nice to feel like you can ask all those ‘stupid’ questions without fear of wine snobbery. The only problem is that we live nearby so it looks like we’ll be starting a ‘good’ wine habit! Thank you to Charlie and the team, we’ll be back!

What should have been a pleasant experience with friends drastically turned sour just like the taste of beverage and staff interaction. Visited with friends, flabbergasted that the proprietors of this establishment allow dogs to sit on stalls next to the bar next to cheese, meat and preserves. Said food is then served by staff who grunt and moan as if we were in a pig farm whilst picking their nose with little regard for any sort of basic hygiene. An utterly horrifying Saturday afternoon.

Great wine and food (cheese / charcuterie) but the service is not great. Been sat here literally an hour trying to get our bill.

First server (possibly Irish) was excellent but every other stage of our time there was painfully slow (placing our order, waiting for our drinks, 10 mins later discovering one drink wasn’t in stock, waiting for drinks again, later waiting for the bill, having to remind the staff we’re still waiting for the bill). A very long process for just one drink!

Lovely quaint place. Very nice cheese. Massive variety of drink. Served a very good portion (it's not stupid tiny) so it's very good value for money. Staff were very friendly too. I would recommend visiting!

Charming little wine bar a short Uber ride from central Bristol. Interesting selection of natural wines (plus a few gins and Bristol-made vermouth) and a nice array of cheeses. We enjoyed a selection of goat cheeses, all of which were more-ish. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable.

My partner and I discovered KASK completely by chance whilst taking a stroll in the area, and what a great discovery it was! We were welcomed inside by a friendly team and although we had no reservation, we were made to feel welcome. We were offered seating either inside, or in what I can only describe as the cutest covered courtyard garden. We chose the garden and felt as though we were party to something, a secret corner of the world to which we would have previously been oblivious. We had already eaten so we didn't order food ....but the wine....the wine was absolutely gorgeous, and I found it such a refreshing change to be able to select any of the wines as they are all organic and vegan! If you're in the area, and even if you are not in fact ....I highly recommend you take the time to relax in the KASK garden, you really won't regret it!

As someone who is alcohol free you might think a wine bar isn’t high on the list of choices. However! Kask do an incredible non-alcoholic sparkling red wine, which is lovely enough to drink all evening. I also spotted a couple AF beers but didn’t sample them myself.

If you love great wine, delicious cheese, and a cosy atmosphere this is the perfect place!

So three starts are for a really nice outdoor seating and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. However I've waited so long to go to a nice wine bar and enjoy a good quality drink and some nibbles and was just so disappointed. The food was just not up to standard at all. I understand this is just nibbles but it costs £6 for two slices of bread in some oil and the meat selection was awful. The grey pink ham has to go and the salami tastes cheap. Olives were quite bad too. It felt like they were bought in Tesco. It was just not comparable to places like Veeno (which funnily enough has lower score). Also last pet peeve, we got a bottle of wine that was around £38-40 and the waitress just left a bottle for us, didn't ask us if we want to try the wine first. I get it if it was a food chain with a house wine but surely that doesn't apply in a wine bar. I think the place has its charm and potential but some things should be improved. Please consider wine tasting menu too.

What a fantastic evening! A massive thank you to Nat and Charlie for arranging a truly special tasting for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately one package didn't arrive thanks to DHL but Kask went above and beyond trying to arrange for the package to get to my parents' friends somehow. Even trying to arrange a taxi to collect it and drive the 45 miles! Charlie's knowledge on the Portuguese wine and just wine in general was first class and I wouldn't hesitate recommending Kask to any friends and family! We will definitely be paying them a visit down in their bar in Bristol when allowed! Thank you again!

Ordered a couple of online wine tasting packages for mothers day/birthday and both the recipients loved it. I had a last minute change of delivery day which was easily accommodated, pick up of the other box was easy and covid secure. The two people who took part in the event loved it, seemed to be the perfect balance of info and fun, and the measures for each 'taste' were far from stingy too! Thank you :)

Excellent wine and cheese tasting session for lockdown, the staff at Kask had a bit of a nightmare regarding their suppliers so the wait was long, which was out of their control. Hopefully it doesn’t deter them in the future as it was well worth the wait. Fantastic cheeses expertly paired with brilliant wines, with concise information regarding the brilliant winemakers!

Amazing atmosphere, excellent service.

When this was suggested for a friends birthday during lockdown I thought this was a great idea and I didn't think the price of £25pp too expensive considering what we would likely have spent on an evening out. You get 4 small glasses of wine (2 white, 1 rose and a red) and 4 accompanying cheeses. Now with several of us all living in Geographic areas we all needed to order separately but we were assured we'd all get the same thing prior to ordering - what would be the point otherwise. Unfortunately, the only thing that was the same for us all was the ordering process and delivery. I ordered two sets for my partner and I but were disappointed to find that one bottle was missing and another unlabelled. When this was queried a £5 refund was issued, I felt this was fairly poor given you couldn't buy a similar wine for £5, so this was increased to £11 which was a very welcome gesture. I would have preferred the missing wine but was told it was too prohibitive to send. £7.55 royal mail next day by 1pm. We all log on to start our evening and it quickly becomes apparent that we don't all have the same things; - one group has 2 extra reds in their box - one group doesn't have the rose - One of the groups has a different cheese selection. - initially we thought that it was the labels that were different but this definitely wasn't the case. I would like to add that the wines we all had were very nice, but not all to our own taste, but thats the point of a wine tasting and the cheeses were all nice too. We definitely felt what we did get was of good quality. We would suggest the following improvements - better quality control of orders - ability to link orders to a group so that they all get the same thing - a bit more detail as to what we should be tasting, whilst the cards were informative they were also a bit limited in terms of approaching the tasting. - We all thought that a youtube video would have been a great accompaniment to the evening to guide you through the process, something designed to be paused and resumed when you're ready to move on to the next step. - crackers/biscuits - something simple and plain, but so again, everyone had the same thing. Overall, we spent £175 on the kits for our evening (excluding delivery), we all felt that this could have been a great product/idea but one that was let down by the execution.
