Absolutely amazing, I was in food heaven. Manager was so nice and considerate. Asked my how day was, which was nice. He wad absolutely charming. Again,the food was stunning. Looked lovely and tasted better than any in Acomb. Would recommend to everybody ever. The rich juicy flavours of the chicken really brought out the exquisite spice of the sauce. The makkani was to die for

Highly recommend amazing well cooked food full of flavour ,so tender melts in mouth made from fresh ingrediants, lovely friendly polite family run business. Fast delivery .As to be the best chicken Korma and sauce have tasted since moving to york cooked just the way we like ,amazing chapatii's.

Super delicious! ! The portion is also very generous~ Since I don’t eat chili, they even removed the chili. Although there is no dine-in, the takeaway packaging is very good^_^

The owner of this takeaway is a lovely, polite, professional family proud man and myself and my partner dropped in to order food for takeaway because we wanted to try it so our first time and the food was lovely, flavoursome and filling. Very good quality I am very impressed. He was also kind enough to pop out to check our spice preferences. And the gentleman had two of his children around and the little girl was so chatty and lovely, good manners she kept us entertained while waiting such an adorable sweet child and I highly recommend this establishment, entertainment and conversation from good kids is subject to availability 😄😁☺️😊🤗

We have been using Kashmir for a couple of years, absolutely delicious, authentic food. We had one last night, amazing, Chicken Tikka Roghan Josh, special pilau rice with prawns in and Naan breads, food was tasty, naan breads not too doughy and crispy, would recommend to anyone, best in York thanks to Sayid and his staff, super good thanks again Nick and Louise

By far the most delicious butter chicken I've ever eaten. Paired with their naan, I am confident that it is the best Bangladeshi/Indian food I've ever tasted. I also ate their sag panoir (paneer?) and it too was delicious. Syed could not have been a more welcoming gentleman, and I will not forget his kindness and help. Wish I could give Kashmir 6 stars! Thanks again!

Our first order after moving back to Acomb, and the new chef, who replaced his grandfather has nailed it. The beef, lamb and chicken simply melted in the mouth, and the fish jalfrazi was just amazing.

York's hidden gem when it comes to Indian food. I ordered Lamb Karahi, Sheesh kebab and naans...the food was delicious and at such great value. Take a look at my photographs. Syed, the chef, is a master in the kitchen and his customer service is first rate. I would highly recommend His food!!

Chicken jalfrezi and peshwari naan were beautiful. The curry was made with fresh ingredients and perfect amount of spices and heat 👌 friendly service and take away packaged perfectly. Got home and all food was still hot and ready to eat. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely gorgeous garlic chilli chicken balti. Loved every mouthful. This is my new go to Indian. The tikka masala balti was lovely too. 5 stars all the way. Nice and hot when it came and fresh ingredients

Who supplies onion bhajias without yoghurt sauce? These guys do - Tandoori chicken tikka masala was also very thin, runny. Will not be going back in a hurry.

To the chef syeed, the curry's and kormas are best we have had in York. Would definitely recommend this Indian Takeaway.

Ordered our medium currys 1 of which we requested to be mild and turned up to be the only spicy one. We think wrong curry was provided as had different curry name on the lid. When i called i was told we had the right ones and was a mistake they made - even though it was packaged in front of me and checked against the order it wasn't mentioned?? Either way we couldn't tell what it was supposed to be as there was zero flavour / spice. Was told if we wanted spice we needed to tell them...are you actually kidding me these are medium spiced curry! Garlic Naan and Roti - Vile and tasted like fish Chips - Dry GOOD POINTS Sauces and spicy onion salad that came with the poppodoms were really nice. Friendly staff :)

My partner and I had chicken shashlik and butter chicken last night, both dishes absolutely amazing. Tasted so fresh, not too spicy or mild just perfect. We will be back!

Probably the best curry in York. Had a mixed starter, staff chop curry, tandoori roti and pilau. Piping hot when delivered the food was beautiful. Could only eat half the rest is for tomorrow evening, can't wait. Had the pleasure of meeting young Robbie the Liverpool supporter. Lovely young fella with his dad. Will be ordering again next weekend. Amazing.

The best Indian takeaway we have had in York! We’ve had excellent ones from various Indians over the years but there was always a little something that wasn’t spot on, this visit was absolutely spot on. The Chicken Balti Tikka Masala was perfect as was the Lamb Balti Tikka Rogan my husband assures me. The bhajis were crispy and the mint sauce perfect thickness. The naan breads were some of the best we’ve had. This was the first Indian takeaway we tried when moving to York about 8 years ago and sadly we are leaving York this week but so pleased we mad this our final takeaway. Also if you sign up online and order through their website, you get some brilliant offers sent through. We had a 35% off one this week which made it all the better. Thank you for the wonderful food Kashmir, good luck for the future! Hope to be back one day :)

Just received a delivery of 2 chicken jalfrezi Curry's, we order often but tonight's was the best we have had and they are always so good! Chicken fell apart so tender and flavoursome, the right spices and just all in all delicious!!the best Indian takeaway in York! A must try , it will then be your regular choice!

I am always nervous when venturing away from our local on the Wirral. So pleased to do so as food was delicious. Papadums beautifully fresh and crisp with nice mixed pickles tray. Onion bhajis and king prawn Puris were mouth wateringly good.Main meals of Ch.tikka Jalfrezi and Salmon Balti fabulous. Mushroom rice and Plain Naan equally good. All delivered piping hot to our door. Highly recommended.👌

Impressed that Kashmir delivers in high winds and torrential rains. Beyond the call of duty and with a smile on his face. Excellent food. Good flavours with depth and fresh onion Bhajis. Definitely be ordering from here again.

Went in last night and asked for a spicy curry with rice and it was the best Indian meal I've had for a long time definitely would recommend and I will definitely be going back again

It it the first time I’ve ever done this as don’t like leaving reviews but I needed to we ordered at 7.55 and after 2 hrs and 4 calls later it turned up and had 5 small bits of chicken and was cold and un edible if you want a Indian don’t bother ordering from here

Ordered a spicy chicken tikka stir-fry with aloo pilau and it was up there with the best take-away's i've ever had.

Never used Kashmir before yesterday but my wife remembered friends of ours, one who is a major foodie, raved about it so ordered take away last night. Was divine. Staying in York for a long weekend and our Airbnb included a menu for Kashmir (among other places). So glad we chose Kashmir, absolutely beautiful food, very reasonably priced and the delivery guy was super friendly! Highly recommend!

Great food, not too spicy but still plenty of spicy options for those that like it. It can take a long time for collection/delivery but personally I don't mind that - I'd rather wait and get a good meal than have something that's quick but less good. Service is friendly and the occasional time when an order hasn't been quite right, it has been fixed straight away with no question. My favourite place for a curry!

Doesn't open until 5.30, preordered 2 hours earlier. Food excellent, piping hot and delivered at the time stated by Foodhub.

We ordered using their new online ordering app which was really simple to use and gave the choice of card payment or cash on delivery. Order arrived 10 minutes early and was delicious. We has the La-nuh special and lamb Balti. Both were perfectly spiced and, most importantly for me, not oily or greasy at all. Will definately order again!

5 STARS What can I say about this place. Amazing portion sizes the curries ARE TO DIE FOR the delivery driver is friendly and we have good chats also arrives before just eat says so early. The management is even better the prices are great the best Indian in York and in the UK been to loads of them around the country. This is by far the best one. A 5 star review is very rare from me I even order multiple times a week had one last night. I really love you guys and it's also family ran. WILL BE ORDERING AGAIN MOST DEFINITELY. Syed is the most friendliest driver ever everything is just perfect this place may even get other outlets opening around the country and a few awards it's just that good. UPDATE Accidently placed an order for collection when I wanted delivery rang up and Syed instantly knew what I did wrong and I didn't even need to say anything and he got it to me within 7 minutes. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm just in love with this place and it will NEVER be at risk of closure with me in town. Best takeaway in York.
