Karibunis Restaurant at Bournville College in Birmingham

Después de haber estado aquí varias veces antes, no esperaba nada sensacional, pero fue realmente una experiencia excelente. Nuestra camarera, Charlotte, fue atento, eficiente y servicial. Ella hizo que la experiencia culinaria fuera un placer. Los entrantes fueron bien recibidos por todos y los mejillones en filo fueron muy sabrosos. He intentado varias veces obtener información sobre los horarios de apertura e intentado reservar una mesa, pero nunca contestan el teléfono y el sitio en línea simplemente no funciona. Frustrante y molesto. ¿Realmente existen? He intentado visitar, pero no puedo obtener NINGUNA información o respuesta.

A wonderful restaurant full of talented and enthusiastic students. The food and service is absolutely brilliant, and much better than many establishments you’ll find in the city centre. The variety and presentation of the dishes is fantastic - and there are always lovely little surprises in between courses to look forward to! Alongside the food the bar staff always have a “Cocktail of the Day” on offer. Both myself and my family cannot recommenced Karibunis enough!

My first visit of the new accademic year and a great start. Excellently presented food by young and enthusiastic staff at great value for money. Glad to say that I am already booked in for a December visit.

My second visit and if the first was good then the second was excellent. We went for the special Italian themed evening and a truly fantastic meal was served up by the students. From being welcomed with a glass of Prosecco at the door to leaving after a sumptuous taste of Italy nothing could have been better. The only thing that puzzles me is just how few people seem to have cottoned on to this restaurant. It may well be an early evening within a catering college but how much is being missed you will not know until you try it. I'm already looking forward to a planned February visit with relish.

Visited with a group of all male friends and everyone of us was impressed with the excellent quality of the food. This is the showcase for the training section of Bourneville College and being early in the season we made allowances for the service at the table by young people learning their trade but absolutely no need to make any allowances for the meal itself. It was excellent! Even so everything was served with a smile and a willingness to oblige. What more can one ask. A thoroughly good evening out started with a welcoming glass of wine and cloakroom service. An included appetizer of a Cauliflower Risotto preceded a small but varied selection of high quality dishes with four starters and four mains. I had the Smoked Salmon starter and Lamb Rump for main. We then all had a trio of deserts followed by Coffee and Petit Fours. Hard to class it as "Cheap Eats" because the quality of the meal just would not deserve such a lowly description, it was certainly top end dining, but at £17.50 all in excluding additional drinks it represented exceptional value for money so was not even "Mid Range" in my books and is well worthy of a visit. I will certainly be going again.
