What a fantastic afternoon. We have completed a wine tasting afternoon with Paul. It was amazing , informative and really enjoyable and we are booking again x

I bought my husband the cocktail mixology class for a Christmas present. We both had a lesson. It was really good. The teacher, Rebecca, was excellent. She made 3 cocktails and explained each step and gave us lots of tips. We then made a cocktail ourselves which we could choose. A very enjoyable experience.

I was given a Mixologist Experience for 2 Gift Voucher for my birthday. (Birmingham) Trying to book was extremely difficult. I tried to call the phone number provided only to be answered by an abrupt employee who advised the Restaurant & Bar Manager was not available and she would reply to my email. Warning...The experience is only available in the week at Mid day. Sorry, but what use is this for a working professional. I decided to take a Friday off work especially to use this experience and finally found a date that suits. This was booked for Friday 12th April 2024. On the Evening of 8th February 2024 I received a very generic 'apology' that a renovation will take place from 2nd March 2024 and therefore the experience would be cancelled unless I could move the experience to 1 of 7 dates this month on a Week Day at lunch time!! The majority of employers need a minimum of 2 weeks notice to request Annual Leave! My previous emails comment that a Week Day would not be acceptable. What renovation is planned with such a lack of planning?! Harvey Nicholls.......Communication is key. Communicate with your customers PLEASE! Apparently this experience may not be reinstated after the renovation is complete. I will now try and see what Buy a Gift can do and fingers crossed they can help otherwise it is £70 down the drain which I doubt you would offer any compensation for. What an awful Customer Service Experience!!!! The responses are very generic with zero compassion. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! This is why I will always stick with your Yellow Bag competitor!

Mixologist Experience - Lovely 2 hours being guided through a welcome drink and 3 cocktails. Comfortable seating at the bar. Rebecca was friendly, attentive and informative of how we could recreate the cocktails at home too. Definitely reccomend for friends or couples.

Wondering around Harvey Nicks and decided it was time for refreshment. Enjoyed a lovely cup of tea, non alcohol mojito which was surprisingly tasty and a side of onion rings which were amazing!

We had two sharing platters: one vegetarian, the other non. It took a while before they arrived but it was worth the wait. Super delicious. So many different delicate flavours and strong flavours. Top marks to the chef!

Came here for a meal for the first time and was slightly disappointed. Overall appearance is nice but it's a bit too open and would prefer to be a bit more closed off to the shopping area. It was evening and the bright lighting didn't do it for me but understand it's needed as it's located in the shopping area. Food was pretty standard and tasted okay, dessert was nice though, had the chocolate brownie. Service was slow and it wasn't even busy, please pay attention to detail, missing things with one meal is a mistake but to do it constantly throughout is just lazy. Ordering drinks and then either not arriving at all or over 20 minutes later ain't good either. Your girls night out offer on March 20th looked good and would of considered it but after this trip I don't think I would give it a second try. Sorry not for me.

We were wondering around Harvey Nic's and spotted the New Limited Edition Exclusive to Harvey Nic's Hendrick Lunar gin, debating whether to buy a bottle or not?!? So decided to go and try it in the bar within Harvey Nic's. To say I was shocked and disappointed when it was delivered to me with LEMON!!! Yes, LEMON! Needless to say I didn't buy a bottle. Such a shame as the ambience within the bar area is lovely and relaxing but to serve Hendrick gin with LEMON is unbelievable, especially given that there is a great range of garnishes behind the bar, unused!

The bar area seems very pleasant and Robbie was very welcoming and we thought we were in for a treat. We ordered a sandwich each from a choice of three and a coffee. The coffee arrived promptly but it took 25 minutes for the sandwiches. We had questioned it after 20 minutes and they explained that it was freshly made or in this case the bagel was freshly burned. If the place had been busy, we would have understood but it wasn’t. Sad that it left us with a poor memory. The loos was fab by the way!

Try here for breakfast/brunch and you will not be disappointed. A good menu choice, good service, good portion size and well cooked food, especially the eggs. I will return.

Love this place for afternoon tea! Genuinely feel well looked after and well catered for with food allergies. Fab for classy hen parties and also small Christmas drinks with the girls.

I visit Birmingham on a frequent basis for business purposes and today I tried the Harvey Nichols brassiere. It was a disappointment overall. At the entrance a special 3 courses meal was announced but once inside no one mentioned it. Business was pretty slow since only 5 guests including myself were inside and when ordering a simple club sandwich it took more than 30 min to serve it and it it was one of the worst I had in my travelling live. Why do we hire people not capable of anything sensible and pay the full price for above standards?

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon here following a busy morning. Very pleasant surroundings and helpful staff. There was a good choice of wines and we had some lovely arancini. It was all very reasonably priced as well.

Me and my husband went for afternoon tea which was a gift to us, so we had a gift card. Our booking was found and we were seated quickly. They'd remembered that I'd asked for a vegetarian meal but gave us two different menus which was confusing. We were then left waiting for ages before anyone came over. Our original server who we actually think was the hostess (a lot of waiters around but all seemed to be standing around or serving drinks to the one very loud party across from us) eventually came over and asked if anyone had been over yet to take our order, they hadn't, and I explained about the two different menus to which she gave us the Xmas one. I would rather have had the other one but no choice was given. I also handed in our gift voucher, she took it away without saying anything about what was included, the value, or any more information. Drinks took an unbearably long time to arrive. We said no sugar and sugar arrived, along with the server spilling my coffee all over the saucer. My husband's coffee cup wasn't clean, with a huge brown fingerprint on it. Our afternoon tea started at 3:30 and it wasn't til 4:18 that any food arrived. Our vegetarian afternoon tea consisted of: Aubergine and red pepper burger Cucumber and cream cheese sandwich Arancini bites Halloumi bites Fruit scones, plain scones, cream and jam Selection of desserts No extra teaspoons given, used plates not cleared away, weren't asked about a second drink for absolutely ages even though tea and coffee is refillable. Food was amazing though. Everything we had was delicious. I was especially impressed by the savouries. We opened our anniversary cards at the table together and when the staff realised they brought us over a little "congratulations" plate which was very thoughtful but sadly in my mind didn't make up for the lack of service. Great food, and I would say the prices looked reasonable (we had a gift card as I said, but the prices were on the menu). If you want good food and aren't bothered about waiting a LONG time, thirsty, to get served - go for it.

A great day with excellent service from Callum highly recommended as an event and place to go really good food and great champagne. Service couldn't be better.

Encantadora cafetería cómoda pero nuestras bebidas eran terriblemente decepcionantes. Mi café con leche fue servido en una pequeña taza de té, Luke estaba tibio y desapareció en unos segundos. Llegaron dos chai lattes que parecían una bebida láctea acuosa con muy poco sabor. Estos estaban calientes y servidos en vasos de vidrio sin asas. Mi amigo y mi hija se los llevaron y se les ofreció un reembolso sin ningún problema. Este sería el punto culminante de nuestra visita de fin de semana a Birmingham, un pequeño lujo. Lamentablemente no fue así! Todos los clientes que tomaban bebidas frías parecían estar disfrutando.

Called in for a drink before going to the Arena to see a concert. What a fabulous environment to relax with a glass of bubbly. Staff all amazing, India was helpful and very professional, what a credit to the place.

Had awful journey and came to eat after booking in nearby hotel in Mailbox. Arrived mid afternoon it was not busy and had lot of staff but after ordering nice wine it took over 10 mins to arrive. Then ordered the duck croquettes and jam were amazing nice french fries well salted took some time to arrive. I had to ask for extra glass of wine dispite staff on floor. Food great staff need to be more attentive to customers instead of chatting to each other very disappointing

A very pleasant two hours at the Bar with Champagne Cocktails made to perfection which went down a treat. During Monday to Friday they have two cocktails for £10.00 from the Classic bar menu which is excellent value. We even has a decaf cappuccino included in the cost as this was on my HN Rewards Card. The Icelandic White Beer/Lager also was good. Most enjoyable. Regards Gary Saunders

Had the bottomless brunch last Sunday with my daughter and granddaughter. The food was amazing, but Callum, our server really made the day. He looked after us so well and made sure we had the best day ever. We will definitely be back.

Hoy hicimos un brunch sin fondo con mi familia y no solo fue una excelente relación calidad-precio, sino que el servicio fue increíble. Honestamente, hicimos nuestro día femenino con nuestro servidor, Callum, que hizo un trabajo increíble cuidándonos.

Went for brunch with family. Callum is the most amazing server ever. Food and drinks brilliant but waiter service made our day.

We took advantage of the lunch offer which was two courses and a cocktail for £19.00.

Dinner for two on a Friday evening revealed unbelievable value in their 2 courses & a cocktail for £19 (or 3 + a cocktail for £23) - unbelievable in that the cocktail was superb, the service from Jack & his Manager Raphael was exemplary & most importantly the food was superb - the chef must be congratulated for his skills across our four courses of scallops, duck, chicken & trout. Truly a great experience & one we will revisit - and with the hope that more people try this brasserie and soon !

When in Birmingham we always visit here for a lunch.

I always find my visits to the Harvey Nicholas Brasserie and Bar to be very pleasant. Customer service from the bar staff is always very good and the bar is extremely comfortable. The chance to listen to live music on a Saturday night is also a nice additional touch. Both the selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails is also excellent. Thoroughly recommend the Avalon and Aviary cocktails.

Went with friends on a Monday after work. We went at 5pm as restaurant closes at 7pm. A very chic setting although I felt a bit cold. Seated almost straight away. We were the only diners so we had bespoke service to ourselves. We chose from the summer menu which included a cocktail and either 2 courses for £19 or 3 courses for £23. Worth every penny. I chose a non alcoholic cocktail which a bit like a fruity cappuccino beautifully presented. Three courses were small in size but an explosion of flavours in every mouthful. I had scallops with apple to start, chicken and leeks for main and a fig tart with cream. All so very good. All my friends really enjoyed the experience also. Don’t be shy definitely give it a try. A nice hidden treasure and I will definitely be returning.

Having walked through the impressive entrance to Harvey Nichols and on seeing the nice decor in the brasserie, our expectations were set quite high. Couldn't fault the service, which was efficient and friendly. However, the food wasn't quite up to scratch. For a starter I had heritage tomatoes and basil consomme, and I have a suspicion they may have run out of some ingredients as there were some very large, quite ordinary tomatoes in the dish that were clumsily presented. The fish cakes my husband ordered were also quite dry. For mains we had lobster tail with fries, which was a tiny bit over-cooked. The desserts were also on the disappointing side, with the mille-feuille being particularly bland.

I booked an afternoon tea for three of us for a special birthday. All of us eat plant-based so I'd made prior enquiries because i wanted it to be as close to a perfect experience as possible. I've had some impressive afternoon teas at other venues for a fraction of this cost but because it was a special birthday I'd selected Harvey Nicholls because of its apparent reputation.

We went for afternoon tea on a Saturday there was a large party of us. As it was at Harvey Nichols we expected something special.

My husband took us here to have a meal to celebrate my 40th b'day. Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed the cocktails. Callum was very friendly and he was very engaging with our 2 little girls who chatted to him throughout. At the end, the staff brought out a complimentary slice of cake and sang Happy B'day to me. It was a nice touch at the end of a special day.

I had to go looking for a member of staff when we arrived, not a good start. Not many people in and a lack of atmosphere. It’s all a bit soulless. Quite a long wait till the food arrived, but the fizz was prompt. We had to ask for the tea as there was no sign of it turning up. There really isn’t a lot of food (although the scones are huge and plenty of cream) but it’s very tasty. Staff all seemed to be busy elsewhere but friendly enough when we caught them. Would I go here again? Probably not.

We visited today and were very disappointed. We had a cocktail afternoon tea and had to wait a long time for the cocktail. The tea arrived first which was ok. The food then arrived and yes it was very tasty but nothing special. There seemed to be a lot of staff who were very friendly but also laughing and joking between themselves. We had to ask for several things as they didn't arrive. In the end we ate our food and left to have a drink elsewhere. We noticed people having to ask to be seated even though there was only 3 tables taken. We won't be returning and would not recommend.

£22 for three courses and a cocktail! Excellent choice & offered options for one of our party that was coeliac. £8 supplement for steak but well worth it! Great view of the city is an added bonus!

We popped in here during Birmingham cocktail weekend, friendly staff, lovely chilled out atmosphere and the cocktail that was on offer was amazing and definitely my favourite of the one weekend!! I’ll definitely be back to try the food and too look at the fantastic array of gin they have!

We were visiting from Scotland for Birmingham Cocktail weekend and wanted to say what a wonderful afternoon we had, we were not disappointed and enjoyed a perfect day of shopping and cocktails. Thank you for making our trip from Scotland extra special.

Amazing service , care , advice , attention , expertise from Siofra and , on the day Callum . I had a particular interest in sake but I’m sure the outstanding customer care will extend to wine too . And the food was great !

Always pop in here when meeting my Birmingham friends. Lovely cocktails served in great surroundings! I can't remember the name of the young guy who served us Friday 21st but he was brilliant and a credit to the brand! Had a lot of laughs and he'd very good! I'll be back very soon thanks!

Ordered the fishcake starter. It was big but was virtually all potato and was overcooked and dry. Main course was chicken with noodles, the chicken was tough and I felt the noodles were undercooked and lacking in flavour.

A very memorable evening of food and drink for all the right reasons. We came as with a party of 30 people and all had very positive comments with regards to the food. First we had a wine tasting experience and then moved on to dinner. We were all served at the same time and our pre orders were correct including the additional items we had ordered which are often forgot. In truth the pre order menu did not sound exciting but it certainly made up for it in quality and flavour. Even silly thinks like skinny fries and the croutons in the salad were amazing. Well done you exceeded expectation.

I went for my birthday afternoon tea, knowing Harvey Nichols reputation for high standards, I had high expectations, unfortunately the standards where very poor. The vegetarian menu was dry limited and tasteless the scones also very dry. The savoury selection was very limited with minimal chef skills involved in the preparation. The service very slow, we had to request water and tea coffee refills. Cocktail took 15 minutes to come to the table, we requested an additional cake for my vegetarian guest one macaroon came 10 minutes later. My birthday cake plate had clearly been prepared in advance and was left uncovered making it too dry to eat. Massive disappointment.

Mi esposo y yo visitábamos desde Londres y buscábamos un lugar agradable que no estuviera abarrotado de gente. Harvey Nics fue perfecto. Un escape del ajetreo y el bullicio (estuvimos allí durante un fin de semana festivo). La decoración es muy fresca, me encantaron los pisos y los baños son geniales. La comida y los cócteles eran buenos, muy bien presentados. El personal era atento y amable, pero educado y profesional también. Si buscas un lugar que se sienta un poco más especial que Cafe Rouge y Pizza Express, te lo recomiendo.

Estaba muy decepcionado con la experiencia. Mi hija me estaba tratando por mi cumpleaños. Aunque el té de la tarde se reservó con antelación, no había nadie en el frente de la casa para saludarnos y, finalmente, ¡tuvimos que buscar a un miembro del personal para que nos acomodara! El servicio fue lento. Los pasteles estaban muy bien, pero no había bocadillos como esperábamos, ¡en cambio nos sirvieron brócoli y pimientos fritos, rebozados! Por el precio que pagan los clientes, ¡no creo que obtengas una buena relación calidad-precio! No lo recomendaría y no volveremos!

We actually sat in the bar area, not the brassiere, and had a selection of mini cakes, scones and drinks which was perfect, service and ambiance. I also just wanted to say what a fab event they had on with a saxaphonist playing and Prosecco flowing, such a lovely hour spent boogying around the store shopping.. bit different to London experiences, more relaxed.

Walked into a very busy Harvey Nicks, only to be greated by the friendlinest manger I have ever meet! Sorted Afternoon Tea for us at such sort notice, Jack, along with the male Manger were asking from start to finish! Could recommend any more! Thanks guys x

Terrible service, super slow, with dirty glasses all over the place. Style over substance. The drinks were fine but not worth the wait.

Reservamos una mesa para mí y mi esposa, pero como suele ser el caso, tuvimos un cambio de planes a último momento. El personal del restaurante estuvo muy contento de cambiar nuestra reserva de 2 a 4 y media hora más tarde.

En general, el té de la tarde de lujo era agradable. Simplemente no conseguimos mucho por el dinero 44 para 2 de nosotros. No había muchos artículos sabrosos, principalmente dulces. Los dos estábamos todavía hambrientos después de eso. Los productos salados eran muy sabrosos, solo querían más y menos Dulces. Tuvimos 2 cócteles para 24, muy caros y la tarifa de servicio del 10% que se agrega a la factura fue un poco chocante, factura total 73.

I had a wonderful time here, everything was excellent. The staff are superb, attentive and friendly, decor is smart, modern and bright. The food was wonderful, we shared Duck croquettes with plum sauce and Arancini balls with a tomato and chilli jam as a starter, delicious. I had a Beef burger with fries and I think it was the best burger I have ever eaten. My dessert was the Ricotta sponge, ginger ice cream, Reisling-infused pink grapefruit, and a pink grapefruit sorbet, oh my goodness it was heavenly.

This bar is ridiculous, went in to have a few drinks before a meal else where. We ordered 3 drinks at the bar and sat down 20 minutes later we went to ask if they were still coming and the bar tender was rude. After coming over twice asking what the drinks were again we ended up leaving. Very poor service.

Visited the brassiere bar yesterday in a group of 12 people. We were greeted by a very helpful member of staff who directed us to a large table that is used for wine tasting events. She then sent some staff over to take our drink and snack orders. Things were a little delayed but not too bad. Then things took a turn for the better! Much to our surprise we were then given the opportunity for a complimentary wine tasting of 2 Harvey Nichols wines. Both were delicious but what was really excellent was the sommelier that offered us this experience. She was a lovely lady who was both witty and knowledgeable. She absolutely made our day.

This was a first-time visit to the Mailbox, for a business networking event in Harvey Nichols. Almost 70 attendees, 2 course light dinner, and a great venue. Lovely staff, spotless facilities, and just a 5 minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station

Visited this restaurant with friends. The barman was very helpful and suggested beers to try. Which were lovely. Cocktail were really nice and the barman very helpful when trying to choose from menu. Waitress was lovely and very helpful explaining meals on menu. Food looked amazing and tasted wonderful. The crab starter was so fresh. Mains courses were lovely. Mussels fresh in a lovely sauce. Lamb cooked to perfection. Fish was so big that our friend struggled to eat it all. Steak lovely and tender. Desserts were also lovely. Mandarin parfait was so lovely and nice fresh taste. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Staff are all friendly and helpful.

Been here on numerous occasions for drinks and cocktails. As always a great atmosphere and lovely drinks.

I booked here for my 24th birthday! I absolutely loved the place and the cocktails , however the food was bit cold. Overall experience was amazing 💓

Visited for dinner with my boyfriend as we saw the 3-course winter meal deal and thought it was worth trying. The interior is lovely and it doesnt feel like you are just sat in a shop which I was concerned about, however we had to wait quite a while at the host desk before anyone came to seat us. The service throughout was a bit lacklustre, it felt as if the staff didnt really want to be there; despite having one private party and a relatively empty restuarant the staff still managed to all disappear for long periods of time, including the manager ?? no clue where they were but it certainly wasn't on the floor. Starters were gorgeous, I had the potato salad with brie whip and my partner had the salmon. The mains were also tasty but very small, I had the porkbelly which was delicious but a rather tiny square of meat. My parter had the truffle cauiflower which was basically just a cauliflower steak, think the truffle was meant to be in the sauce? but it was very bland. Dessert was tasty and a good portion, the included cocktail was also nice. Overall, the meal was good and the interior was cool but the service was barely there and the food was mildly underwhelming. Great value in the set menu however, I'd have been dissapointed if we had paid full price.

I booked to have my hair done here, advising that I have allergies and would need to bring my own shampoo etc. Unfortunately I was the day there was a major water burst and this impacted what was going on in the salon. I was kept waiting for 40 mins without offer of refreshments. The stylist did come over and advise she was running behind and offered a coffee, which I didn't get. I was eventually shampooed and was went to sit in front of the mirror with my coffee eventually...1 hour and 10 mins after my appointment. The stylist was very apologetic and offered complimentary make up but again I advised I have allergies...another 20 mins went by and I had to have my hair re washed as it had dried and I was sat in the massage back wash and left alone. Many apologies later I was advised my hair cut would be complimentary but at this point I decided to just get my coat. I explained that i was running out of time as I was going to meet my partner to watch a show. After a further promise of a 10 min wait I decided to stay, hair needed to be damped down again and someone came behind me to rub something in my hair at which point i jumped as i cannot have anything with preservatives as i am highly allergic. So i eventually got the stylist after 2 hours 10 mins, only to have her disrupted as another client was complaining about the delay. The stylist was very stressed. She trimmed my hair and as I had explained I cannot dye it and was starting to grey, I had asked for advice on styling ect, I just barely got eye contact, she was very distracted...she asked it I liked what shed done and I said not really as it was flat, like I'd had a hat on ! She did a little back comb and a few twists with the straightener. I just said not to bother as she was clearly too busy . I left. I ended up with my hair in a pony tail that evening. I was so disappointed with the whole experience and if I'd not been given this as a complimentary I would have left without anything.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and quick with their service. My glass never stayed empty long and the champagne was high quality. For £50 you get unlimited champagne for a two hour window and three courses of food.

What I have to say, the food was good however this was overshadowed by the poor service,firstly we had to wait 1 hour for a table then had to ask for water on the table which was taken away when 1/2 glass was poured. I had to ask to order food, had to ask where the food was as still not received 1/2 hr later, had to ask for coffee. Nobody asked if everything was ok. Mesina one of the waiters was very busy, she even had to come and retrieve our coats. Everyone in uniform was working really hard, non uniform staff too busy talking to each other , very dissapionted

Friend and I had the 3-course meal and gin cocktail last Friday. Excellent all round. Good menu choice, we asked our friendly chatty waiter couple questions and he answered very well regarding the menu. Very attentive service! Food portions were good and a lovely night all round!

Very underwhelmed by the food and the service was non existent - very expensive for such a poor experience, wouldn’t bother again and will go somewhere they want my business.

I came here for Valentine’s Day after being recommended by a friend. I can honestly say it was the best Valentine’s Day meal I have had in a long time. The starters were delicious and well presented, the squid was nice and crispy and well cooked. My girlfriend had the soup which was well seasoned and she would have happily eaten another bowl. The main courses arrived swiftly after which was down to the great service that was on show. We both had the beef wellington which melted in our mouths. Again well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We didn’t have to wait too long before our chocolate fondants came out. Wow!! What can I say, absolutely delicious along with pistachio ice cream. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here an eat and I will definitely be coming back.

Went to Harvey Nicholls for lunch today. Ordered a drink in the bar first which took ages to come.

In fact the only thing that let it down was that is was so slow at times. Friendly and nice service yes, but really slow at times. Apart from that, when you did get fed, it was actually pretty good.

Loved our night out here. Had the two course for £18 offer and loved it. Food was excellent, served beautifully. Environment was very chill and relaxed. Service and staff really friendly, engaging and warm. Recommended.

Whilst not the best view of London, the finest of dining or the most obvious location. Situated on the 8th of the Oxo Tower, it is a nicy modern, spacious venue with a good view of the river. The food was excellent with a reasonable choice on the menu at lunchtime. Would certainly be happy to go again.

A mid-week lunch with friends. Good reception (not always the case here because of the siting of the reception desk), very pleasant waiter.

I came to Harvey Nichols early on a Friday evening for some celebration drinks and was pleasantly surprised to see 2 for £10 on cocktails. The cocktails we had were very enjoyable and probably the best I’ve ever had, certainly better then anywhere else I’ve been in Birmingham. This is a must visit for fans of cocktails although I would check their website to ensure you go when there is a deal on as otherwise I can get expensive.

My wife and I visited the Harvey Nics Brasserie today for lunch . We are frequent visitors to the various eateries as well as shopping within the Knightsbridge store where we always have excellent service and food.

I popped in for a few Xmas cocktails and was absolutely BLOWN AWAY at the level of service and professionalism on display. Especially from my bartender India, couldn't do enough to help and was extremely friendly!

Ordered ravioli for my main and the portion size was ridiculously small but the food was nice, and the waitress was really friendly

We went there on Friday December 29th as a group of friends. Firstly we waited for 10 minutes before we were approached and shown to our table. We then waited a further 20 minutes for someone to take our order. The wine that we had ordered arrived promptly but our food took 30 minutes. A second bottle of wine, which we had hoped to enjoy with our food didn't materialise at all! The restaurant was half full at best so absolutely no excuse for this poor service. I doubt very much we will return.

Food isn't bad. Service a bit slow. They have enough of a selection if you want to avoid carbs though, so that's a bonus. The atmosphere is nice though, and you feel the food should be a little better. Oh, and the live band (a man on guitar and a woman dueting with him) were really good. Would go again.

Nice vibes and polite customer service. Went for the luxury afternoon tea, wouldn’t really say it was luxury. Some of the nibbles felt like they were made a long time ago and not fresh. The macrons were solid and not excitingly soft to eat. The teas had too much milk in them couldn’t really taste the flavour, needed to ask to be replaced with a standard English Breakfast at the end. Disappointed considering the price.

This was a very interesting experience having our Christmas party actually in a department store. Food was excellent, the beer wasn't cold enough and the whole place was very hot with all of the people and dancing

All the wow of Harvey Nichols with the fine dining touches from Glynn Purnell. Always a treat and this time just for a light lunch - the pan fried salmon with accompanying lentils etc - well presented and very tasty served with a smile in a timely manner despite the pre xmas rush of diners. What’s not to like!!

Superb food, amazing staff who are so friendly and so helpful. Put that together with great atmosphere and you have Harvey Nichols. I love this place pure and simple!

Don't tell everyone - lets keep this place special if not a secret - it is Birmingham City Centres hidden gem tucked away in the delights of the Mailbox over the west side of the city!

Myself and four friends visited Harvey Nichols for Champagne afternoon tea. We were served hot drinks that took ages and were cold. Then we waited half an hour for the afternoon tea. I then waited 25 minutes to get someone to bring some butter. We then ordered another hot drink which we had to ask if they had forgotten us. It too then came a further 15 minutes later Luke warm. All for the privilege of £132. Not impressed quite frankly.

Two friends visiting Birmingham who have meant to pop into Harvey Nicks for a cocktail for ages and so we did. it was quite full but there was a spare table and so we sat down, there were three servers behind the bar and as this was our first visit we were not sure of the protocol of ordering my friend went to the bar and asked for our drinks, she was told that if she would like to sit back down our drinks would be bought to us, so we sat and waited and did a little people watching, the group of young ladies in front of us had their prosecco poured for them and were asked if they needed anything else. We did notice at this point that the three servers behind the bar was now down to none and we were still waiting for our drinks to be bought over- and we waited and waited, then after about 10-15 minutes we decided that we would get better service at any of the other bars in the area and so we left. We were very disappointed at the lax attitude and non caring staff. And you know what they say about the service you receive - if you get good service you tell one person, if you receive bad service you tell ten. Shame on you Harvey Nicks.

We just love this Brasserier in Harvery Nichols...very friendly staff, efficient, and so relaxing. We will go back again...

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent salt beef sandwich, iced lemon water and superb coffee. But the real star of the show was India whose outstanding service very much encouraged us to make Harvey Nichols ground floor bar a must stop at any future visit to the Mailbox.

Mi hija y yo fuimos a tomar el té de la tarde como parte de un regalo de cumpleaños número 50 que recibí de uno de mis amigos. Mi hija se ha embarcado recientemente en una dieta vegana, así que cuando sea y donde sea que pueda, este es su menú elegido. Cuando miramos el menú en línea, solo había una opción vegetariana en el menú del té de la tarde. Sin embargo, le dijimos al camarero a su llegada que ella era vegana y nos impresionó mucho lo que llegó a la mesa. No sé por qué no pone esto en su menú, Harvey Nichols, ya que estoy seguro de que la gente lo encontrará útil. Mi té de la tarde también estaba delicioso. El servicio también era bueno.
