My parents have been coming to this restaurant for years and I have been coming for the last 20 years the food is unreal they make the best chicken tikka masala ever. The staff are always friendly and greeting on arrival. I will be always coming back as I love your food

Have ordered takeaway food from here on two previous occasions and thought we’d discovered an excellent takeaway at long last! Third order last night - Wednesday 4th September turned that assumption on its head! Last night’s two-dish offering was bland as ditch water! Clearly no spices had been added to the meals. These are supposed to be professional chefs? £20 quid wasted ! I’m local and not patronising this business ever again. Abysmal quality! And in the future I’m minded to get back into the car and return said meals for a full refund! And if they refuse then to report to Birmingham trading standards. Fed up of lousy quality meals!

Decent food at a very good price. There are undoubtedly several better Indian restaurants in the Stirchley/KH area but given the portions are large and prices cheap, it's very much a case of you get what you pay for.

This is the best balti in Birmingham.Always outstanding service. We also had some complimentary food! It's the best if the best.

Food and service here are great. There is a good menu but if what you want exactly isn't on the menu just ask, they are happy to tailor the dishes. Prices are good too. You can only buy soft drinks here, however you are welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks if you feel the need to. 😎👍

Been using this restaurant for years. best balti, mainly use as takeaway. Car parking is not great though.

I was staying in the pub next door & having a pint outside when the aroma from this place enticed me. I'm an occasional curry fan & they'd caught my mood so decided to take a look. There was no menu on display from outside but I ventured in & they were on the counter, there was no pressure from the staff, after a quick scan of the menu I decided to take a table, most main meals were around a tenner so do-able on my work's budget. The food lived up to the smell, portion was too big for me but good value. Staff were really friendly & laid back, even got free veg pakora before the main meal. I'd definitely visit again, thanks guys.

This restaurant never very disappoints - ideal for really big groups of people. Very good value . Best biryani & Balti dishes in Birmingham. Staff always friendly and attentive. Excellent bus route 45/47, short walk from Bournville Train Station.

Chicken balti sag vindaloo. Very average taste. Had bigger kicks from asdas currys. Plenty of chicken. But not for me. Very sorry.

Rude servers and unwelcoming atmosphere. No drink menu and when we asked what they have, the server impatiently read out average fizzy drink. When we sat down, napkins are taken away from table. The waiter dropped food in my cloths and didn’t even say sorry. My cloth totally ruined due to food stains. I wouldn’t recommend this place 👎

Would not recommend coming here. Food was lukewarm, meat extremely chewy and dry. The bill was massively incorrect - £26 for a couple of poppadoms is robbery. Avoid!

Been here before the food is great prices are not over priced and there is nothing wrong with any food I had with them. Even having a take away the food is always amazing good service and always warm inside when it's cold out.

Been going here for as long as I can remember never have we as a family had a bad experience. The food is delicious the staff are so friendly and a bonus discount if you have a takeaway.

Not been there for years, so great to find it still so good. We went to celebrate a 70th birthday. The staff were very patient when we all lingered so long after the meal.

This place is vastly improved since I last reviewed it. New decor and carpets made the place feel.a lot cleaner. The lamb balti madras I had was perfect and I've had many in my years in brum. Highly recommended

Extremely disappointing. Food was very greasy and lacked flavour and the service was disappointing, lacked any kind of friendlyness. We had been previously and had below standard food then. We thought we would try it again just in case they were having an off day. I won't be making the mistake a third time.

We had a lovely vegetarian/vegan meal here. Plenty of meat free choices. Banter with waiter. Lovely evening. The bill was so reasonable too.

Had a balti tikka chicken bazzari with naan, all very good.

The 3 stars don’t really represent our experience here, but let me explain. Very friendly welcome in what was a quiet restaurant, but it was a Monday evening. Ordered popadoms and pickles, which were lovely (lime pickle superb) then served a complementary dish of vegetable pakora which as also delicious. 35 years ago I was on a course just up the road and enjoyed many Baltis or ‘dipper’ so I ordered a meat Balti with naan. The portion was huge and tasty, but much drier than I remembered and not possible to dip - things have obviously moved on. The real down side was my companion leant forward to reach her rice after her Balti was delivered and received a nasty 2” burn on her chest ( no warning that the dish was that extremely hot). The service was good apart from the lack of warning. Shame its put us off for future visits.

Superb night at the Balti Bazaar for a 60th birthday. A party of 20 people of mixed ages. The service was fantastic with attention to detail. The food, as usual, was excellent. If you are looking for a restaurant who can cater for large parties, this is the one to choose. Thank you Balti Bazaar!

Rank. Surprised to see other reviews, maybe the restaurant is better. Takeaway is a "never again" level. Tandoori fish completely full of bone, tough chewy lamb, even chicken pieces in the curry had bone!? Wasn't even hot. Felt completely ripped off.

We went in here spontaneously as a couple because it smelled amazing from outside. Wow, the food and service was great. We had poppadoms to start and were brought some complimentary pakoras. We then shared a chicken and lamb tikka balti and a chicken shashlik with various sides. Every mouthful was incredible. What was even more amazing is the bill as the cost was so reasonable (helps that it was bring your own booze). We will definitely be back!

Visited as a group of 7 on a Saturday night without a reservation, we only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. The restaurant was quite busy, and there was a lot of staff on but service was a little slow. Understandable as it was busy, but many staff were not doing much, with a few doing all the heavy lifting. We waited for about an hour for the food but they brought out some onion bajis halfway through which was nice. The food was tasty and the portion size good. Overall I'd recommend.

Always use this restaurant as the food and service is amazing. However last night we had a party of 16 of various ages from 5-84 to celebrate a 60th birthday. The attention from the staff was fantastic, the service was brilliant. Always a warm welcome with friendly staff. The food was as delicious as always and plenty of it. If you want a decent meal and service don’t look anywhere else and once you’ve been once you will always return. If I could give more stars I would.

I rang the restaurant to try and order for collection, and the staff hung up on me. I called again, thinking this was an error (as this is our local takeaway and we have used it many times, both eating in and taking away) and asked to place an order for collection (at 10:30pm on a Saturday). I was told the restaurant was closing, and the member of staff hung up on me again. My partner rang immediately after to enquire about ordering , and was told they were open for over an hour and to ring back to order. Unfortunately, we’ll not order from here again.

Fantastic food, lovely yoghurt sauce, great curry or balti. Love it in there.

Really disappointed with this place, we’ve had some good food in the past but our last meal was awful. Hardly any chicken in the curry, just peas in vegetable rice. And no sauce with starter. It took ages to arrive and was really bad quality. Won’t be bothering again as it’s also very expensive for rubbish!

Booked a table for 7pm, arrived on time,waited in takeaway area for 15 mins then we're seated. After being asked if we wanted a poppadum at £1.30 each (we didn't) were then ignored for the next 45 minutes before we called it a day and left. Used to be adequate here and now isn't. It's not as if the place was packed, it wasn't. There's better locally where they seem to want your business, give it to them that want it

Not good presentation wasn't great hardly anything there and not tasty went right through me was on the toilet all night after. Won't be going again.

I’ve recently visited this curry house for a family meal only to be highly disappointed in the food. I’m not one to complain and be fussy but my the food came out stone cold and under cooked. In the end we had to refuse to eat and walk out massively disappointed, they even had the audacity and cheek to still charge my family for the meals they did eat. Just wow! Take my advice and stay away from this restaurant!

If their was an option for 0 star I would have. We went 9th April 2022 in a group of 10 and it was initially a nice meal. However, we did not expect the next 48 hours for 7/10 people to come down with food poisoning. Throwing up all night long and very bad diarrhoea. The only blessing is my 15 month old wasn't hungry and refused to eat. Will not be coming back here.

It's been around 30 years since I last ate here, not that there was anything wrong with the food or the service. The wife and I had a very enjoyable meal here. It has had a recent makeover and I shudder to think how much the carpet cost. I am pleased they went for soft flooring rather than a hard finish as it helps keep the noise down. The menu is huge, obviously much is a variation on a similar dish but at least it might tempt you in trying something a bit different. It was very busy on our early Friday night visit which confirms it must be doing something right. Indeed they are, the garlic and coriander nan bread was a bit "different" but apart from that all was very good. My Jalfrezi was particularly flavoursome and so was the wife's balti. The chicken in both was excellent. The portions were too big for us to finish, partly due to the complimentary pakora. Prices are reasonable and being able to take your own alcohol is obviously a bonus. I notice quite a few customers took their own soft drinks which I am not sure about. Parking can be a bit awkward but it's well worth a short walk.

Best Indian there is. Recently moved around 12 miles away from the area but can't find a local Indian that matches, so we still travel back to enjoy a meal or grab a takeaway from here.

Visited for the first time this evening, really tasty Balti, rice and naan and excellent portion sizes at a time where portion sizes are getting smaller due to cost increases. Will definitely be visiting again

I have been attending/using this restaurant for over 15 years and I have to say I've personally not have a bad meal off them, consistency has been key over those years. Food has always been fresh and good. The last great Balti house left in Birmingham...?

Been going to the Balti Bazaar fort years and have had takeaways while in lockdown. Went for my sister's birthday and as usual had another brilliant meal. Well worth a visit.

Always come here for a Balti and I travel a 20 mile round trip to go .The taste of the Balti’s and the other dishes are superb (can also recommend the biryanis) and is great value for money. I always have the lamb and it’s the best and most tender I’ve had anywhere. If you want a good Balti with lots of taste and the meat is cooked to perfection then come here , you won’t be disappointed!!!

We were recommended this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Service excellent, friendly, complimentary starter, They are not licensed but told us where to go to get a few beers Food. So good, portions enormous! We could have fed another two people, could not fault flavours and spices Value. Unbelievable, if I lived locally I’d be here every week Look forward to returning
