Sometimes looks deceive you, chicken was tough to chew, quite over charred too, chips ordered as an extra were tough too, like they were left to go cold and recooked, not a great experience. Chicken on the burger was tough and again like it was left and reheated. Staff consumed with their own conversations, shouting across tables to continue conversations?

Emmer was very helpful. Staff was friendly. Food was delicious

The food was amazing, service was lovely and even with my very weird order, they didn’t make me feel bad for ordering it! One of my favorite places!

I attended Giraffe in Birmingham Grand Central on Monday 21st April 2025 following a visit to the city centre with my girlfriend and her daughter. As a couple who have rather a lot of allergies and intolerances it can be quite difficult and frustrating finding somewhere to eat with a child in tow. Looking over briefly the menu here we decided to go for it and try it. The gentleman who introduced himself to us and invited us to be seated initially asked about allergies and was instantly on the case and got someone out to serve us. The young woman who attended our table was genuinely interested in all the things we had to say about the situation as my girlfriends allergies are towards nuts, mine is fresh raw fish and an intolerant to egg and my girlfriends daughter we think is affected with red food colouring. The woman insisted that we follow a strict rule set out by the resteraunt and didn’t think by our own judgment of “oh we know what we are doing” the service given was excellent and she even entertained my girlfriends daughter helping all throughout our visit both with food choices and drinks. I would give 10 out of 10 for the actual resteraunt. I feel the only thing letting it down was the location but it didn’t make the visit any less special. Thanks for a great experience

I ordered the swinging kebab and there was no flavour whatsoever . I wasn’t impressed and won’t be returning . However staff were friendly

Service was good. Our server was really friendly. We were the only people there so was quick. My partner enjoyed the tacos, I have the Cuban sandwich, the first few bites were nice but then I tasted the ham which wasn’t good. Tasted slightly off, so I didn’t finish my meal as I was put off

Really good location, got straight off the train and to get food. Emma was great and very helpful adapting orders. Smoothies are lovely too. Good vegi selection. And a full seperate gluten free menu, so good for coeliacs

Had a wonderful day with family in Birmingham yesterday 22nd March 25 there were 6 of us and we decided to eat in the giraffe restaurant. We definitely made a very good choice the staff were so lovely and had very good customer service skills which I find very important. the food was delicious too very well presented and a wide choice on the menu that suited all of our group.we all said that when returning to Birmingham this is where we will eat again hopefully in the very near future.

Came here yesterday for a meal before going to a show at symphony hall. The food was excellent and so was the young lad that waited on our table you are lucky to have such lovely staff. There were six of us ladies and we will definately come back again when next in Birmingham

i went in for my birthday at around 12:00 on a thursday and it wasn’t very crowded thankfully, i had a lovely, LOVELY waitress. Emmer was honestly nothing short of delightful, very charismatic, very friendly and laid back, and truthfully she made the entire experience so much better. I ordered the crispy fried calamari, thai duck stir fry, and the passion fruit martini. the calamari was delicious and i really enjoyed the stir fry too, i couldn’t finish the stir fry in the end but i had it packed to take home! as for the drink, a shot of prosecco was served on the side and though i’m new to alcohol it was actually really lovely if i had it with the cocktail :) i was checked in on here and there while eating to make sure i was happy with the food and service which i found really nice. will definitely be coming back for a dessert and coffee next time. i’m really enthusiastic on trying new things so this was my first time at giraffe, i do often get a little anxiety beforehand though but this really did not disappoint. the interior and lights were also a really nice touch. also please give Emmer a raise or a promotion, she’s amazing and so so incredibly sweet.

Was seen to fairly quickly & staff were polite. Ismail introduced himself & was very kind n helpful to tell me all my vegan options & a quick recommended dish to keep me going for the day.

I was travelling to Birmingham, and I decided to have lunch here, I must say that customer service for me is what will make a huge difference with what you order, drink and having a good time. I definitely had an amazing time with Ismail, who looked after me - recommended amazing food, drinks and personality always happy, and you can see he has many years experience in the hospitality industry by just keep moving around, looking after everyone. Due to the amazing service by Ismail, I told him that I will come back and visit again. Thank you for the amazing time! Will see you soon again

Visited here on the 13th February 2025 around 18:30, date and time is relevant as if the manager reads this they should recognise the members of staff on duty and the food and service was excellent! For a railway station I didn’t really expect too much especially having had a previous poor experience at another location. Very pleasantly surprised.

Emmer, Letty and Byron were amazing. Their service was brilliant and efficient. The food was cooked just right and the drinks were perfect. Will definitely come back.

Stopped off here for a bite on the way home. Was sat down and while it wasn't busy we still sat for about 10/15 minutes without anybody coming over to check if we wanted even drinks or to order. Cleaning tables in a half empty place took priority over serving customers. Prices are pretty high also, if you want to add anything extra to a breakfast each item like 1 sausage or 1 bacon costs 2.50 each. A fiver for an extra slice of bacon and sausage.. Shake Shake opposite was much better.

poor attitude from worker. jhorick i think. was in a rush and was told waiting time was 15 mins yet a basically empty table was open with no reservations. then proceeded to ask that it'll take 15 mins to clear? which he replied with.. I like to take my time with an eye roll followed. unwelcoming

Pidió varias veces y después de que yo negara varias veces se encargó de darme una bebida gratis que alguien había pedido antes pero no había recogido. Él era tan encantador, recomiendo este lugar al 100%

Visiting Birmingham which was crazy busy due to Christmas shoppers, myself and my friend found this little gem. Wonderful service given to us both by Katie who was most attentive to our needs. The food was absolutely spot on. I cannot stress how much I wish they had these in the US.

Me And my friend visited this restaurant today to try something new - we were recommended the katsu noodles by Jhorick who answered all our questions and also gave us excellent service.

It's been a long time since we've been out for a meal, so this felt like a special occasion. And it was an absolutely amazing experience from start till the end! Our server was Katie, what a gem, you don't get to experience this kind of level of service often anymore. She made us feel special. Drinks were spectacular, and food was delicious. Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que salimos a cenar, así que se sintió como una ocasión especial. Y fue una experiencia absolutamente increíble desde el principio hasta el final! Nuestro servidor era Katie, qué joya, ya no se llega a experimentar este tipo de nivel de servicio a menudo. Nos hizo sentir especiales. Las bebidas eran espectaculares, y la comida era deliciosa. Food was cold, and bland for the price also 11 pound for a breakfast that came like this. Bacon very fatty and unable to cut. The service was not welcoming. I do not recommend eating here.

Great visit! Several vegan options on the menu. Well presented food and tasted lovely. Able to use a plug socket at the table to work. Oat milk available. Music good and not too intrusive. Brilliant customer service from Andy S, who was helpful, friendly and really attentive - he's an asset to your business. Would definitely visit again.

Just had the BEST service from a waiter at Giraffe. I only had a short time before a train and he's just been spot on, responsive and really, genuinely helpful! I didn't leave enough time to eat in so he just organised my food into a takeaway and has out everything from cutlery to sauces in. Just so thoughtful! Thank you!

It's the first time We have ever visited here. We had the Thai Duck stir fry, which was amazing...by far the best food we have had. I would also like to give high praise to Jhorick who served our food, a very kind member of staff who never seemed to stop still.as he was always makeing sure the restaurant was clean and tidy. Also we would like to give praise to Katie who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and valued customers. Definitely a venue we will be visiting again and highly recommend for others to visit. Most people visit places for either the food or the staff....It's very rare that it's for both as is the case here. Amazing food, incredible staff... unforgettable meal out.

Food was really basic. Thought i would give it a try but food is defo not worth above £25, can find much better elsewhere. Staff was nice but didnt come to the table to ask how the food was or anything. fizzy drinks were warm and flat. Disappointed

Bonito ambiente, aunque un poco ruidoso, pero estás bang en medio de la estación de Birmingham. La comida se sirvió a su debido tiempo y estaba caliente y delicioso! Nota: sí que ponen un cargo por servicio en la factura así que la propina que hubiera sido más se fue!

Food was amazing, served quickly and warm. we tried the strawberries and cream pancakes, the mexican tostada and the eggs benedict. the tostada was fresh, the eggs benedict had an amazing herb oil round the plate. Jhorick was our server, he was super friendly and helpful. checked up on us occasionally to see if our meal was okay

The food is good but the best one that we tried was the tacos, ngl Jhorick was right about it. Also, Jhorick was really nice and patient with us, even helping us choose the food. The place is a little hot but I think that's just because of the grand central heating, either that or because of the fact that the place is surrounded with kitchens which ofc will warm up the place, probably good in the winter tho. Jhorick was king, love that guy!

came to the place for dinner. the Shai greeted me very well and friendly. she graced me with constant smiles and politeness. easily raised the vibe of the place being how radiant she was. then when it comes to JM, he made sure the food was all good. he made sure i was very well too. incredible hospitality from the both. ever so thankful. defo coming back for more. or rlly for JM and Shai. p.s dont order the gyozas unless your a toddler. or you have a stupidly low appetite

I was served by the very friendly Andy and the lovely manager (didn’t catch her name) Andy was very attentive yesterday, made sure everything was looked after. I could see that his other guests were well looked after. Enjoyed it that much that when choosing to find breakfast before getting a train I came back and was lucky enough to be served by the same people with top notch service. Breakfast OK expensive for what is was, one waitress was so nice, the other one needs to get more training on customer service. Service charge added to the bill disgraceful won't be going there again

Visited this morning. Wish I hadn't. The food was OK, but the service was abysmal. I truly believe we were served by the most miserable waitress ever. Couldn't crack a smile. She was 'off' the whole time!! I realise we all have bad days, but at least try to make an effort. This waitress was vile!! I deliberately (but politely) requested she remove the service charge of our bill. She had the audacity to look most put out!!! Can't see myself or my sons returning.

Excellent ambience and service. Ample Seating area in a very vibrant open space. Service is quick and everyone appears positive and inviting The menu is quite enticing with a fusion of British and Asian flavours. A nice array of cocktails and mocktails. I would liked some meal combo offers. I liked the starters and appetizers menu. Shame it was a bank holiday or I could have used my Taste Card discounts. The food is served quickly and sumptuous.
