The food was more or less good but I won't go again. I didn't like the service and it was terribly cold. We were there with a baby and it was very cold, we ate with our jackets on.

Great place to eat Turkish food. Staff are polite and friendly. Ample amount of salad and rice served with mains. The quality of food is fresh and tasty. Turkish tea is lovely... Turkish bread/nan not heavy and is medium on stomach... We ate too much of starter fillers, leaving us less room to accommodate mains... Took away doggy bag and enjoyed rest at home... Main shish kebabs are dry with rice, restaurant would well to provide a sauce for which I would give food 5 stars... We will definitely return as restaurant is also close to M5 motorway.

Went to traditional style Turkish restaurant, Istanbul for my birthday lunch, had the mixed grill and a Turkish coffee to finish off . I'd give this place 10/12 for flavours and quality of food really delicious! Service was also very good would recommend and look forward to returning soon. Recently dined at this place, it was tasteless very far from normal Turkish standard. Portions were very small and terribly overpriced for the portions provided. Strictly recommend you to starve yourselves rather than paying extortion of nearly 50 quid for a small platter that was void of taste, authenticity, presentation, and cooking art.

The place is even more amazing than before, they have done a new makeover and added a lot of more variety to the menu, it is definitely pocket friendly and the taste is 2nd to none !! I always come here and a regular happy customer :-)

I visited with family and I am extremely impressed with the quality of food, portion sizes and fantastic service! The waitress was extremely polite, friendly and welcoming and couldn’t have done any more for us! Lovely little hidden gem where you can dine in or collect a takeaway from. Several complimentary servings of bread, delicious dips, tasty Turkish tea and sweets were also given which was really generous of them as not all Turkish restaurants I have dined at recently have provided these! Honestly I could not recommend more, perfect for couples, families or friends!

The food was not tasty at all. The lamb shish or kobeda tasted out of date. And the chicken shish was equally not good taste and the lamb tikkah was raw not even cooked, not even medium rare. Not recommended at all. The people reviewing have no taste buds

Ordered 2 takeaways from this place recently, had chicken shish previously and was really impressed, this time I thought I would try the ribs and chops or kebab mix 3 and was dissapointed. The other order was chicken shish and adana for my partner and her food was nice as I tried a little. Giving 3 stars as it appears some of there dishes taste nice but other options on menu don't. I spent £18.99 on my meal and there was bearly any meat on the ribs, chops and chicken wings were OK, rice was nice but that takes up nearly 60% of the tray to make it look like alot of food. Overall taste and portion size isn't worth the money

Ordered x2 mixed kebab meals, spent £42 and the portion sizes were very small, food lacked flavour. Definitely not value for money. Rang the store they said they can’t do anything about it. Won’t be using them again.

El restaurante parecía haber sido modernizado desde nuestra última visita. Pan, salsas, aceitunas y ensalada fueron traídos a nuestra mesa. 3 de nosotros pedimos chuletas de cordero y mi marido pidió kebabs y chuletas de cordero. La comida era absolutamente delicioso y disfrutado por todos nosotros. El servicio y el ambiente eran perfectos. Volveré pronto. Muy recomendable para un verdadero sabor de Turquía.

Food is noce. These guys did the best donner meat but havent been selling this for a while which is a shame. The portions are a mixed bag. Someetimes its larger and others smaller. (Rie and bbulger ortions) Also last time i went the mixed kebab dish 1 had baby wings. Thats not reflected in the price mind.

Overpriced, not worth paying twice as much for the same amount of meat you get on a normal kebab from a chip shop.

The presentation is excellent, but to be honest the food is quite dry and unappetising, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. But if you do come here just come to taste don't come here to eat a full dinner, you will end up sending a fortune on food not worth your money.

Food was so delicious I loved the kebab platter. Complimentary salad and bread were so nice. They even gave us rice pudding complementary. This is one of the best Turkish restaurants I have tried! Will definitely be returning. Food and service was on point

I have loved this restaurant for a long time. The last time I ordered, last summer, one of our vegetarian dishes was drowned in a tomato soup. However, the rest of the food was delicious as ever and I set out to make sure I didn’t order that particular dish again. Last weekend, I ordered takeaway on Uber Eats and found that everything bar the salad was covered in the stuff. It might have helped the salad as it was slimy slush jn a tin. I have raved about the salad we had in previous years, it was just the best salad from a takeaway by miles. This went straight in the bin. Along with most of the rest of the food, which had become unlikely fillings for tomato soup. The garlic mushroom dish was a farce, again covered in soup and not much in the way of mushroom or garlic to talk about. We salvaged about a starter’s worth of food before collecting a replacement dinner from Mr Singh’s. Sometimes you have to take the hit and learn a lesson. Very disappointed.

Vegetarian items ordered. Meat items delivered and when called nobody could do anything to help us. They said its not their fault.

Wow! We had the most fantastic meal here. We are vegetarian so chose the falafel, vegetarian kebab and sebzeli guvec. The staff were really friendly and the food came quickly. They even gave us free desserts of baklavas and sutlac. Both were delicious! We’ll be back! x

We visited today for the first time as a family of 4. It was during the day so quiet but we were very welcomed by the staff, so friendly and hospitable. It was also our 1st time visiting a Turkish restaurant so we ordered the Chef Special to try a mixture of food. It was a late lunch for us so didn’t order too much. We absolutely loved the complimentary bread & dips, they were delicious! My husband & kids were well impressed, as was I. The main was very generous, so tasty & of high quality. We also were fortunate to try Turkish Tea with an assortment of Turkish delights and also the Sutlac which was absolutely delicious and completely won over my son who said it was the best Rice Pudding he’d ever tasted! It was such a lovely experience and the staff were so so lovely. Although it was so quiet, it didn’t take away from the atmosphere and experience. I also want to thank our waitress, whose name I didn’t catch unfortunately, but she is Iranian & could speak Farsi, who was so so sweet & lovely and couldn’t do enough for us all. Would definitely recommend and we’ll definitely return again!

Wow! Would leave more stars if i could. Stepped in for a take away and was greeted with a friendly smile and absolutely excellent service! The owner (i assume) was so friendly and nice, gave my child a lollipop and a drink while we were waiting for our food, so sweet! We had the following in the same order Salad Bread Sauces Fries Soup House Special Complimentary tea with jelly like Turkish deligh treat Rice pudding with cinnamon Good environment for family outing. We were a group of 10, although quiet at the time with maybe 3 or 4 tables, food was served in a timely manner.

Went on a cold winter's evening in January. Inside were only two other diners.. So our party of four had plenty of choice for seating. Warm and clean. Food and service were both very good. Will definitely visit again. It had perfect romantic ambience for a dinner date in the future . Roll on Valentines day.

Excellent food but needs heating needs to be sorted as it was cold while dining

The food is insanely expensive and the quantity is a joke. Rack of lamb is just bones with a bit of fat around them. And it costs so expensive. Staff is careless not checking customers for anything. It would overall be ok if the quantity was good but it’s literally a joke

Absolutely delicious and fast served food... Just perfect if you have a child as they lose pacience... So I am more than happy with everything. Delicious lamb rimbs, perfect cooked.. Definitely we are coming back.

Mixed review! The soup was so lovely, but it was served in a metal tray with a cardboard lid so it leaked over everything and even through the bag. Tasted good though! The grilled onion salad was literally just onions in a red liquid, I thought it was a salad (like with other things in it) so that was probably my misunderstanding. The prawns were very nice but I asked for a healthier meal with no oil and no bread and I've never seen so much oil on a dish and there were four big bits of bread, which just seemed like a waste.

2018- Good Turkish food (",) 2022- New owners fow a while now, not the same taste as before. Will give them one more try. 2022- They have ruined the food. 2023- The previous owners have taken back ownership, and good riddance. Back to its previous good standard. Prices have gone up, but that's like everywhere at the moment.

Nice small restaurant with very good and fresh food.

Just came back from a very satisfying meal. We are regulars but this is the first time we visited after the pandemic as we mistakenly thought they were one of many unfortunately closed during. We used to order house special for two but we found the price is up a bit thanks to inflation unsurprisingly. So we switched to mixed grills 3 (no.35 in their menu) which actually worked in our favour because we are big fans of their lamb ribs and chicken wings and not bothered with anything else. The meat was as delicious and juicy as before or I would say even better. The rice is never their strong suit to be honest. It's okay but don't hold your breath. I saw other's negative reviews on delivery orders. Please don't waste your money if you can't physically visit. You can only appreciate the deliciousness when the meat is refreshly served with crispy outside and juicy inside. We also greatly appreciated the gorgeous waitress who generously offered more naan and salad. I'm not sure what new management other reviews talked about. We met the old gentleman in our visit and I *think* he is the same owner I met before the pandemic. I could be wrong as I'm not good at remembering faces though. Anyway, it's a good restaurant and we will definitely start visiting again. If the owner sees this review, please fix your website. We thought you're closed for good because of your broken website!

Didn't realise this place was an actual restaurant with a full seating area. I'm pleasantly surprised what a little gem in Handsworth. Had takeaway but will return for the restaurant experience. Food is excellent as I recently travelled to Turkey and I can say just the same quality cuisine at affordable prices. Highly recommended. Very clean and food freshly made to order. The best thing about this place was the service. There was one hard working lady who was working there who was running around serving everyone very quickly. The hummus and the dips were excellent. The bread was above average as well. The halloumi could be improved. We ordered a mix kebab which consisted over chicken Shish, mixed shish, and Adana. They were all fantastic. Cooked nicely with a light char on top. Not too garlicky. Served with some nice bulgar and white rice. There is a smoking area in the back outside, which was irritating until we closed the door. Otherwise, nothing that wouldn’t bring us back for more.

Best Turkish lab shish I've had since moving to Birmingham

i always love going to dine in Istanbul, as the food is always freshly cooked and served with the best hospitality, but decided to stay in and the service of food is no less than what i expect from them, as i know that Istanbul will always live up to their expectations and so they did with tasty, delicious food.

Good place to eat, good food and service and staff don't rush you they're very welcoming throughout

I am not impressed with the food. Not my type of food

I waked in on a Monday evening as I had to do some work in the area and wanted some Turkish foods. I was greeted very nicely by the staff and was seated promptly as there was only one other family in the restaurant. Me, my wife and my daughter was seated with the waitress getting a high chair for my daughter. We then was politely given the menu and had given our order after 5 minutes to which we was given our drinks 5 minutes later which was good. We received bread and 3 sauces whilst our food was getting prepared, i orderd lamb adaan with fries and my wife ordered fries as she wasn’t hungry and we ordered a kids meal for my daughter chicken nuggets and fries. I was very disappointed that there was no shwarma as it’s like a staple food in any traditional Turkish restaurants, My meal looked like 1 lamb Shish kebab and 5 small pieces of lamb pieces probably 1inch big per piece and the portion of fries could be described as the same as a medium fries at Mc Donald’s but slightly spread around the plate to make it look more than what it was. My wife’s fries was separate but in a bigger plate and my daughter had maybe 7 chicken nuggets with some fries. My food, the Shish and lamb chunks has no taste and the fries was small, my daughters chicken nuggets had no flavour and could only be described as possible frozen nuggets deep fried but had zero flavour. We ordered drinks also which was 2 cokes at £1.95 per can. Once we had eaten our meal which wasn’t difficult as the portions was tiny the waitress who was kind enough gave us some what she described as traditional Turkish tea but i have been to many restaurants and this was just Normal tea with a hint of cinnamon in it. Nothing special (it was complimentary) with some Turkish delight, the Turkish delight was the cheap kind the kind that taste like all jelly and powder sprinkled on top, not very good. This whole bill came to £29. If this bill was between £10-20, one can just about part ways with their money but when it’s £30. You feel like you have been robbed especially when there was no flavour to any of the food and the portions was tiny, Just stay away as it’s too expensive for what you get
