Wonderful restaurant with a relaxed but vibrant ambiance. The location of this restaurant is perfect only being a 15 minute walk away from bullring and situated along the canal it has beautiful views in the evening. The service is excellent here, staff are kind and friendly and always look approachable if you need any help. The waiter that served my take in particular was an absolute star and gentleman, I unfortunately did not get his name yet he put great effort to ensure me and my girlfriend had a memorable anniversary dinner and experience at Bank. The food was well cooked and presented, the Asian platter starter was one of the BEST sharing starter plates I have ever had in my life, yet the slow roast duck main was slightly disappointing and rather bland I would say, so I wouldn’t recommend purchasing that unfortunately. We ordered a tiramisu for dessert which was delicious and well crafted and made up for our disappointing main haha. I would return to the Bank restaurant again just to try a few more dishes as it all sounded very lovely and the vibe is brilliant!

came here on friday for a pre christmas family dinner. the food was nothing short of amazing and the service was excellent! special thanks to our bartender ben who recommended us our cocktails and kept our drinks flowing, would highly recommend!

I came to bank for a birthday meal at the end of November where we had the private section in the restaurant. We had two people serving us. One of them stood out a lot only because of how helpful and friendly she was. Her name was Renée, which I would not forget only because how welcoming she made us feel. Hopefully, when I go back again, I have got the same young lady serving me again

came for the lamb which was sold out renee kindly suggested the duck i could see she was busy but still made sure we were satisfied im so glad she wrote her name on the receipt so i could mention it in this review was nice for my experience to not be so serious in fine dining thanks again to renee money i dont regret spending the friends with benefits could be a little stonger tho 🙂‍↔️

I came out for my friends birthday in Birmingham yesterday just wanted to leave a review as I the level of service and food was amazing and she made our night 🙌🏾 definitely recommend the Angus beef burger. I was served by the loveliest waitress Renee who reccommended the “friends with benefits” cocktail as margaritas were sold out and it didn’t disappoint !!

I've been to nsnk many times but never received service this good. Reneè delivered the best service to us, she went above and beyond. We didn't have to sit and wait to grab someone's attention. Went there last night for a meal and drinks for a frineds 40th. Basically shocking. Waited 2 hours for food that was pre ordered weeks ago. When the food came eventually it's was stone cold and the turkey was rock solid and dryyy. We left before having our dessert becuase we couldn't be bothered to wait another hour for some Kelly's ice cream. Overall was awful do not recommend!!!!!

She took the time to recommend dishes that suited our tastes and even shared some insights about the specials of the day. Visited on Tuesday. Was served by a lovely young lady called Renee. Her customer service was very good. Whilst checking everything was okay and that we had no issues she also did not bombared us and respected our space. Her manners and attitude is a credit to your restaurant. I would defo visit again. I wish more restaurants had this level of customer service hats off to our server and the restaurant.

I came in recently with a few friends of mine for a catch up and we always wanted to try here. The food was lovely, and it did not dissappoint our expectations, especially with us being keen to visit for quite a while! The staff and environment were delightful. Friendly, helpful and always being there whenever we needed either some extra drinks or sides ect Big shout out to our waitress Renee! She was lovely and had such a positive energy to her and despite working a busy shift, we still had a laugh and a joke with her as we prepared to have a night out afterwards. She even recommended some great places for us to go to in the area. Will definitely be back and we hope that she will be there too also!

I had my company Christmas dinner on Friday (before storm Darragh). The schedule was 7.30pm to be seated and 7.45pm they bring the starters. We were sat 30min later. They brought the starter quite soon, at 8.10, but they took a lot of time to bring the main course. More than 1h later they brought the main course, people were starving. I told the waitress if they could bring together the main and dessert (at 9.15) as two people had to take the last train back Bristol at 10.15pm so at 9.45 we had to leave the restaurant. Well, they didn't do it. Awful service, i couldn't have my dessert, i left the restaurant in a hurry still chewing the turkey. Awful service.

Great food and terrific service. Lots of drinks on offer. There was one rude staff member but you don't let one bad person ruin a good review do ya! We've been twice for our work Christmas party and it's been great. Highly recommend it.

Xmas meal, started with french onion soup which was excellent, main turkey dinner which was Luke warm so returned and was reheated and edible and very tasty dessert choice unfortunately was mediocre! Service excellent

I almost hesitated to review after tonight's visit as unfortunately it wasn't a good one. I haven't eaten in Bank for a good while however we were are large party for a birthday and even though we pre'ordered there was a forgotten starter, no co-ordination on sides and they arrived 10 mins after the mains. Our main server seemed to be fine and tbf with him whenever there were issues he did try and resolve them quickly. Just very confused service. Even though we raised some of the issues with the meal it was treated by a manager with almost silence, and a "so what attitude" so looks as though it will be another long while before I return. Great shame as this used to be our go to restaurant.

Spent a great Friday night at Bank. Restaurant got full and busy right before the show Peter Kay. But service was still on spot. It has a great and lively vibe in the bar area too!

Went in after work for drinks. Place was very quiet, served quickly and cocktails were nice.

I do love Bank, but have a couple of not so great experiences now. The vibe and atmosphere is always on point, but the service at the bar is just shockingly slow! After waiting over 30mins to get served, we resorted to ordering two rounds in one go to save the wait. If offering a range of cocktails that take time to make during busy times it would be great to have more people serving/

I have been to the bank so many time's in the past and have always enjoyed it .However on this occasion i don't even know where to begin.The service was beyond a joke .Fair enough the waitresses were fairly new so i can make some exceptions but everything went so wrong that it was like an episode of fawlty towers. We had to ask several time's for our drinks .Every half hour or so things were being dropped .The problem is that we had at least 4 different staff serving us which is a recipe for distaster straight away. Side plates being taken away when we were still waiting for starters. Food when it came was average,no more.The table next to us refused to pay for their mains as they were so late.I wish we had done the same.I definitely would not return.Used to be such a nice place to go .

We arrived at 6.30pm on Friday evening. We had to ask for our drink order to be taken because we were going to a show. We ordered just a main. When it got to 7.20 we asked how much longer we would be waiting. They said we wouldn't get our food till after 8pm!! We told them we'd just pay for our drinks due to the show starting at 8pm. They didn't apologise or take anything off our drink bill. If they had told us when we sat down how long the food would take we wouldn't have sat there for nearly an hour. I said we was seeing a show!! Waiter was very uninformative too. We will not be going back there. Highly priced with a loud atmosphere and no communication.

The staff were amazing, food was great as well. The restaurant manager (I think Alexandra) was great, nothing was too much trouble for her. The venue was quite busy as Peter Kay was performing close by, but the staff made sure that everyone is looked after. We will be returning!

Came here yesterday (Friday 16th November) after recommendation from a friend. Before seeing the Peter Kay show. They were very busy but still did their best to meet the needs of everyone. Brilliant food and top quality service.

Came here for food as was visiting the city centre to watch Peter Kay and considering how busy it was the service was fantastic! Not once did the service levels drop and the food was spot on! Only given a 4 for atmosphere as it was a bit busy than I would like but I guess that can't be helped on nights like these.

Really lovely location and service throughout the meal. Staff were very attentive I felt at times little to much as we got asked if had any allergies by 5 different members of staff. I appreciate it's very important!As I work in hospitaly myself. But despite this the food was really good!And I think very reasonable for the current times. Special mention to Alam who was great throughout. Very friendly.

First visit here and will not be the last. Nice restaurant with a very good menu selection including a lunchtime special. Four of us ate and had various dishes amongst us... all of us enjoyed our meals and the whole experience.

Bank in Birmingham is consistently good. I like the menu, it's original and diverse without being overly fussy. The dishes are well presented and the cookery well executed. The staff are exceptional and overall, eating there is a great experience.

We came to find Bank by chance today whilst looking for somewhere to each for lunch. It was a quiet afternoon inside. The decor is smart and tasteful, the staff are attentive and courteous. Our server, was perfection, a lovely lady with blonde hair, the other staff were so friendly. We ordered from the lunch menu. The meal we had was amazing, everything from the appetisers, starters and mains were delicious, and there was plenty of it. I shall be back to enjoy an evening meal or the Sunday roast on another occasion.

Given that Bank is meant to be an upscale restaurant we expected upscale customer service. This is definitely not the case! We booked months in advance with Piccolino which is in the same restaurant group as Bank. Piccolino "forgot" to let us know that they will be closed for refurbishment on the date of our event (party of 12) which was totally unprofessional and unacceptable! So they suggested going to Bank and gave us free mocktails. Long story short, we went for the meal and not only got charged for all the mocktails but even got charged for a starter that we didn't order!!! When we called to ask what's going on, they had to have an investigation, then they said actually you had 12 extra mocktails which we didn't and trying to rob us!! Several calls and several emails later which added to unnecessary stress, we managed to get the refund which was an overcharge of more than 100 pounds!!! Absolutely disgusting customer service for such an upscale restaurant. No one knows what they are doing and the organization is run by clueless managers. Will never go back again!

The food was amazing, I can’t fault the service we received from Matt he was brilliant. A lot of restaurants/bars you go to just want you to keep buying and have no conversations beside that, Matt kept the conversation flowing and his hospitality skills were spot on.I would definitely be back and recommend anyone going to try it, you won’t be disappointed!

A reliable place to have a drink, relax and chat, cannot fault the service or drinks.

This will be an account of my experience at this restaurant. To get a more complete feel of the place I suggest you look at other people’s posts of the restaurant. Service: We had an extra person join our group last minute and front desk was willing to accommodate all of us and find a free table to fit us all (I would advise making sure you book a table when you are sure of the group size). Throughout our time there, we had a dedicated person attending to our needs, doing regular check-ups on us to make sure we are okay in between orders. The restaurant was well staffed so we did not get to a point of trying to get the attention of any service person passing by. Food: I had ordered the Grain-fed Ribeye (350g) prime steak and the restaurant didn’t disappoint and served it to my liking. The food presentation was to a high level. We had enough cutlery on the table as well as salt and peppers. The table didn’t not feel cluttered, I felt like there was enough space to eat and put my belongings if I so chose. Drinks: I just ordered red-wine to compliment my steak, and I must say it tasted good, not too harsh. Overall the restaurant is on the high-end. The menu is on the pricey side but there are some meals in there that are on the lower price bracket that are also good. The restaurant is well lit, but unfortunately If you are a person who likes taking pictures in restaurants, this restaurant does not have a dedicated space for that, it is only at your table that you can do that.

It was truly a nice evening out with my girls, the food was so delicious the whole restaurant is beautiful. Loved it!

In the evening the music was very loud. There are probably people who like this, but for me personally it was too loud and it would be very difficult to hold a conversation. Location is modern and food was good. Had crispy duck, which unfortunately wasn't crispy. The next day we had lunch. Much more pleasant without loud music and the burgers and steak were very good. The waiter went to great lengths to organize vegetables for our companion that were prepared without a lot of fat/butter.

Great venue. Aesthetics are top notch, as are the staff and the atmosphere. Would bring a group out to celebrate.

Nice location at the bank of some water body( not sure) but great cinema and outdoor activities’ Reaching there is a kind of project. Staff is lovely! Audience is smashing’ mouthwatering dressing sense😝I’m digressing again! Food choice is amazing’ hummus starter and scallop’ stuffed Aubergines etc was nice too.Serving size is smaller tho: Steak came rare despite ordering medium so asked for a reheat.However they did recompense by cooking again! But total wait time is around 1-2 hours so u can have a great walk around or pick a friendship while curbing ur appetite. Over all a great place to sit and enjoy loud music. Have a great bunch of people to admire their fashion sense, made me feel totally a fraud to wear a nice wool coat and temperature controlled body thermals. Drinks were A hit… ☺️

We were ready to leave a very negative review regarding the service at this restaurant after being seated 30 minutes after our booking time, and then having a 40 minute delay for our food, but it is very important to say that if a restaurant makes a mistake but admits it and then rectifies it, we can’t give negative feedback! Based on your actions tonight we will be back and we are thankful for the food being deducted from our total bill. I will also say that the food is superb, we were thoroughly impressed even after the wait! The steak was quite possibly some of the best we have ever had! Another massive plus point is the availability of alcohol free wine! As the driver of the evening it was nice to feel like an adult rather than sticking to juice or water.

Great place located in city centre but with canal view. The food was amazing! We had an anniversary meal here and there was 4 of us so we spent over £160 but I guess this is normal spend for a meal. We liked the flowers on the wall and service was truly helpful and nice.

We have visited a few times within the last few months and have to say the food is absolutely beautiful that’s why we returned. I’ve been with my husband before a show. Then recently the last visit was for my mother in laws 75th birthday which I have to say food and as just as lovely. But just wanted to point out that we were given the sofas on the back wall they were far too low for 75 year olds. Also I had asked if something could be done when bringing dessert out and they said no problem we will write Happy 75th birthday on the plate I took candles in. When it came out there was 1 candle sticking out and no writing on plate so was disappointed. We will return as we do love it here but when it’s a 75th birthday which I did state it was for, just mentioning those sofas aren’t suitable far too low and once you sit back your too far away from the table Thank you

Came for the Sunday roast as a group of friends. Food was delicious, huge portions, everything was really tasty. All the staff were super friendly and the right level of attentive. Would definitely return.

A tall Turkish guy was our waiter and he did a great job in entertaining my family whilst we were able to enjoy some quality food. We Will definitely be coming back soon.

Absolutely phenomenal, I used to come here whilst living in Birmingham 8+ years ago, and it's still as good now as it was back then. Beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Attentive and polite staff. Food is flawless. Recommend the tempura king prawn starter and Lebanese Fattoush salad main. My friends also enjoyed their heritage beetroot starter and steak main.

I expected a lot more, but for the pricing it was just ok. The toilets were not clean and the cubicle locks were broken, and to my mind if a venue can’t be bothered to clean their toilets, how clean is their kitchen? Vegan options are very limited - one main, one starter, no dessert. Actually they say they have sorbet, but when I asked the waitress brought me something that was clearly ice cream. I asked if it was vegan and she said, “Yeah there’s no egg in it”… The aubergine was actually surprisingly nice, to be fair. You have to be ok with food that’s squidgy and mushy, but if you can get past that the flavours were amazing.

Where to even start!! I planned a surprise birthday party for my friend at Bank in their private dining space and this was by far the best decision I made. From the time I arrived bare in mind it is located in Brindley Square so difficult to get access with your car, they were able to sort out for my car to get access to off load all the event bits especially the cake as it was first very heavy but it was a hot day so didn’t want the cake to be in direct sunlight. The staff were amazing but most importantly Matt who was our assigned waiter during the event. He ensured everything ran seamlessly and went above and beyond for all the guests. We had an issue with one of the meals which Matt ensured it was quickly rectified with no hesitation! Matt even ensured the guests that had dietary restrictions and had pre ordered food still met and spoke with them to double check their dietary requirements. Well done Matt and all the staff at Bank restaurant! We all had an amazing experience!

Usually bank is a favourite for me and my family and caters to our requests perfectly. We booked a table for my 20th birthday with a request to sit near the canal. However the host/manager was very rude and dismissive when we were confused as to why we weren’t sat where we requested. She then lied to say it’s reserved for larger tables (were a table of 4) and then proceeded to sit a table of 2 on our requested table. When my mom addressed her concern she was not in the slightest apologetic and completely dismissed how she was feeling. Other than what felt like classist behaviour, the waiters were brilliant and attentive

Well what can I say about bank, we asked to sit at the front they said come to the terrace and take in the views of the canal. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, me and my daughter in law were very casual and they treated us very well. The food, the friendly lady servers we had 3 in all were second to none. The food was of the highest quality we recommend the Asian sharer it is presented on an afternoon tea rack and the chocolate fondue was divine. When the sun shone they opened the shutters and let the light in. What an amazing ending to our 5 mile canal walk from small heath, we will definitely dine there again.

AVOID!! Had a table booked in December which I arrived 2 minutes late for. The member of staff at reception was very rude and stated that I had missed my table as I was late despite being within the 15 minute grace period. I was then told it was my fault I was late and had to wait for a table to be free. I spoke to a friend of mine who was working as bar staff and he told me that Bank had overbooked the restaurant and I would be lucky if I got any food. If the lady on reception apologised and told us that the restaurant was overbooked and I would have to wait, I would be understanding, but I was spoken to with attitude and the blame was put on to me rather than accepting any accountability, making me feel very uncomfortable. As a paying customer I do not expect to be spoken to in such a manner, especially in one of the “finer” establishments in birmingham. We had to wait over an hour food food, which was very mediocre and the steak was burnt. We reached out to bank to tell them about our experience, which was ignored. So avoid visiting during busy periods as you will be blamed for their errors.

This really deserves 10 stars. Called in for lunch today, chose from the set price lunch menu, stunning! The best Tuna tataki I have ever tasted, the miso glazed aubergine main was incredibly good. Service was sensational, we were looked after by Victoria, fantastic personality, and so glamorous! Menu knowledge was so helpful. Thank you so much to all the kitchen and front of house staff, we had the best time.

Starters were lovely. Mains of fish and chips, and steak and chips were very bland, no flavour. Chips were cooked from frozen chips. Deserts of cheesecake and strawberry pavlova tasted weird quite frankly. Over priced bland food.

Restaurant is always 10/10, and provides a high-end dining experience for affordable prices. In a great location for drinks or before visiting the Utilita Arena. Food & service is impeccable on every visit!

A bit of a Fawlty Towers situation! Booked for 7pm with the aim of being in the Arena for 8:30. Checked in early just on the off chance they could take us but no - totally fine - we had a drink and went to the desk again at 7. Nice person at the desk explains that there was no way we could be out in time. The kitchen was very busy and couldn't have food out in time for us to enjoy properly. Cool - the time to explain that to us was perhaps when we checked in at 6:25, and I think Bank has been around long enough to expect a busy time before a concert in the Arena on its doorstep. Amusingly, you are told that you have a 90-min slot when you book :D A little shambolic! (The Zizzi across the way took us in, plated up and had us out in plenty of time!)

I’ve given one star as we were going to a concert. Booked for 7 pm to eat to get to gig for 8.30 pm (noting 1.30 hr time slot). Checked in approx 35 mins early. At 7 pm presented ourselves and told couldn’t be seated for at least 10-15 mins. Told them about our timings and they said very busy kitchen and even if seated now would not have enough time to get food, eat and be out by/ before 8.30 pm. They were most apologetic but clearly poor management of the kitchen and bookings as at no point were we contacted to be told of their service delivery issues. I then realised that lots of other people had been told this as I had previously seen a lot of unhappy people leaving and grumbling about the “food” situation but didn’t know what they meant until we arrived for our table. Very bad customer experience and wouldn’t recommend if you are going to a concert. Can’t comment on food or service as we couldn’t be seated as wished. Thankfully a nearby pizza place was our salvation.

Banks is one of my absolute favourites, I try to visit every time I’m in Birmingham. Everything is a delight, from staff welcome, seatings and the vibe, the service, and above all the food choices and quality is impeccable! Our usual go to main dish is a sharing steak , we lately had the Bone-in-marrow steak and it was amazing! Red wine choices are superb, try their wine selection from any South American country and you will be pleasantly surprised 🤩 I can go on and on, but I’m certain if you give it a try you will know for yourself how awesome this restaurant is 😃

Such a disgusting time ! Group of us girls went for a birthday meal and the service we received was just so rude and terrible. We waited 45 minutes for the started even though we had a set menu . They just had no decorum or patience & then when the food came and it was incorrect it took a while to rectify the situation. In the end we had to speak to the manager and explain what had happened and she had kind of sorted it out by taking my main off the bill. We wont be coming back unfortunately just quite literally left a bad tast in out mouths. The waiters were just so rude with their responses.

Went to the bank today. Asked for a table for two. Restaurant was near empty. Receptionist said no we do not have a table for two. Walked outside booked a table online. Walked back in and asked to speak to the manager. The receptionist said “what because I wouldn’t give you a table, you don’t need to be rude to me I’m just the receptionist. It is actually because you have a hat on. I don’t need to justify myself to you”. All I asked was to see the manager. The manager told me they do not have a space for us as they are short staffed and reached capacity and the online booking was a glitch in the system. I explained I have just watched two people be given a table she called me a liar. So is it because you have reached “capacity” which clearly isn’t true or because I have a hat on (two other gentlemen had hats on sitting down). I do hope it wasn’t for the colour of my skin.

Had a great meal here. The food was amazing. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The staff always check in on us to see if every thing was ok for us. Would highly recommend this place.

Visited Bank a couple days ago before a show. The greeter was polite and friendly, the place itself is well decorated and has a good atmosphere. The food was tasty and presented well. Some options were quite pricey. The desserts were really lovely. The downside were the toilets, they were quite stinky and unclean. Really let the rest of the venue down. Even walking past them was unpleasant. Servers were polite and friendly. Would eat here again, and hope the toilets are tended more.

Went to the Banks to have some after work dinner with some friends. If you are fussy like me about car park, there is a car park that’s close by and very affordable. You will have to do a 4mins walk from the car park to the restaurant location. In terms of ambience, I will give it a 5 star. I am one about aesthetics and the river bank gave me that. The decor and everything is spot on. When it comes to the food, we ordered a sharing platter for £80 and was expecting a bigger portion or some add ons like vegetables. Unfortunately we got the chateaubriand with just chips. It was quite tasty especially the mushroom. In terms of service I will give them a 3 stars. It took so long for the order to come through and the waiter wasn’t that happy to help. She seemed a bit swamped with work. However, in total I will give it a 4 stars. Will definitely be visiting again

The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its elegant ambiance and beautiful view to the river. The wait time for service could be improved to enhance customer satisfaction.

Such a shame. Went for a pre-theatre meal; waitress was very rude on the way in, then while our waiter was polite and tried his best, the kitchen was incredibly slow so after an hour of waiting we had to leave with no food. Just not good enough and wouldn’t go back.

The range of food is innovative, but the staff do not notice when a table is ready for some service, eg. to order, or for the next course. The lighting is very ‘dim’, which is appropriate for late dining, but it is rather gloomy for early evening.

I really liked the atmosphere and vibe in Bank. Food quality is so great 💯👍. The summer menu is awesome. Just wow❣️

For the first time in Birmingham, I would like to recommend you this restaurant BANK, it’s so modern and the food was delicious and the service 5* . Congratulations on running such a big Restaurant with this high standard! Kind regards Cristian
