Karen's Diner Newport in Newport

Had to give this a go as seen it on TikTok and my sister booked it for us all and we had a lovely time , the staff are rude but it’s not offensive and we all found it funny and would deffo go again

Tried to book Karen’s diner for the family and was taken back that they are in fact going out of business. Imagine not being able to keep oxygen in the lungs of a business whose USP is bad service! I accept that the competition for providing exceptionally bad service has never been more fierce than in one of the UKs most disappointing towns. It was always going to be a challenge to disappoint residents of Newport, the verruca of the Welsh urban portfolio. However, as a resident I welcome the opportunity to shift attentions away from this distraction and focus on the opportunities which bind us together, namely unemployment, poor nutrition and crime. I look forward to this branch developing into a much needed charity shop, with only 35 to choose from at the time of writing. Now that Karen’s has closed, where on earth can I expect to be belittled, verbally abused and made to feel sub human on a daily basis……. Coming dear!

If I could put zero stars I would! I wouldn't waste your money on this, they change venue at last minute to another county then rob you of your money! No replies to emails and don't give you a refund when you're entitled to it, after they email with a link for it!! Just ROB you of your money! Avoid at ALL COSTS! £145 stolen from us! How many others are they doing this to!

I came here with 6 friends as I was bought the experience for my birthday. The staff worked hard & kept in character, although there was a little twinkle in the eye from some. They were a fab bunch of people working there. I'm just sorry I didn't get all their names but Ethan & crew deserve a pay rise. They kept the drinks flowing, food came fast, burgers were gorgeous & a good size. Loved the chips which came with them. They were proper chips, not skinny soggy fries. I loved everything about this experience. I've never found being insulted so hilarious. It was a pain having to get the train from Bristol to Newport but this was soon forgotten. Thankyou Karen's Diner Newport for a fab birthday experience. My only tip is to give it go & enjoy yourselves. I really am a Karen which made the entertainment even more fun. 10/10

Have to say I was apprehensive taking my kids to Karen’s Diner although my 10 year old wanted to visit for his birthday. Actually you get what you expect with some choice language but that’s fine, we had a good time and all the family from kids to adults got involved with the fun games that happen throughout your sitting. Be aware that they do use foul language so if offended easily don’t go but if you are fine with that and love some banter, it’s a fun night out.

We were booked to go to the diner for my nieces 10th birthday, probably not somewhere we would of thought to go but with it being her choice we went along with it, we stayed 10 minutes and walked out with my child in tears, I honestly did not realise the extent the staff go to, as adults we can laugh it off but I definitely would not recommend for children I wish someone would of informed me before booking, they don’t care what age the children are they are brutal and won’t stop even if they have them crying

Well, what can we say?. We went to Karen’s Diner on a staff night out. We arrived early and were greeted by a lovely ‘Karen’ 😀. We were originally a table of 20 which went to a table of 16 and ended up as a table of 21. They were very accommodating of us although we endured a bit of ‘Karen’s Banter’. The food was great, the drinks were great, the service was great but in a ‘bad way’, lol. Our group played the games, with another group and ‘Josh’ showed us how it was done, as did Lacey ‘say no more lol’. Above all, the staff were amazing, really amazing, such a great bunch giving the ‘worst’ but ‘best’ of service. Go there, you won’t be disappointed. Just paid to be insulted at Karen’s Diner in Newport! Far exceeded my expectations in terms of terrible service and tasty food - which is exactly what we went for!
