First time visiting and I can say I will never go again. I ordered breakfast which was Tastless and rubbery. The toast were so hard that you can knock someone out with them. I got these changed. The cutlery provided is not suitable to eat the food as it is not strong enough. The folk broke in my hand and cut me. As we were eating teh staff came and sprayer air freshener everywhere. The customer opposite shook his head amd walked out. I however couldn't stop sneezing. I raised my concern that you shouldnt spray air freshners whilst customers are eating. I was told that they have to hourly as it smells of food. That is ridiculous. If a restaurant doesn't smell of food then what else should it smell of then. The staff I spoke to was nice and I made conversation with her but overall very disappointing.

Dropped in for a chai. Was told that the chai with sugar is to sweet so went half and half. Very good chai. A 4.5. Will visit again may be try their chat.

Had another take away from here the food is amazing went for butter chicken and masala chips. Looking forward to eating inside next time.

Order 2 Karak Chais, pakora bites, and aloo chat Chai was fine, except cup was filled to top so spilt in car holder Pakora bites was insulting as 5 super mini bites for the premium price. They are the party pakora bites you get from Iceland, shame Aloot Chat was over juiced with imlee sauce that it was impossible to eat . So sour that it actually makes you sick. I drove 15 miles to come to Cardiff for a waste and ruined my evening

Really enjoyed their English Nashta breakfast, nice change from the usual fry ups but still satisfied that need. Top Chai also.

I come here often I love this place. Their service is very impressive. The taste of the food is always good but they don’t have much vegetarian options. I would highly recommend this place. Special thanks to Marzia. She will always serve you with a smile on her face.

Got a takeaway! The lotus milk cake itself was lovely! Had perfect cake to milk ratio. The Karak chai where good only had slight aftertaste. But a good clean branch great fast delivery to our hotel from driver teas where nicely wrapped and still hot. 5* a tea name you can trust for good quality overall.

The non veg thali with keema and chicken was delicious. Very authentic tasting! And I loved the chilli pickle on the side. Milk cake was similar to carrot cake but really tasty! Felt like ghar ka Khana.

We thought the tea and food was better compared to a well known competitor, so we’re coming here for our daily chai and snacks.

Taste not that appealing, it’s same like eating at home by paying. It’s also expensive. No options for people with food intolerances or Vegans.

Karak chai was just ok not very good.

Food is nice, but takes too long to prepare for the delivery, waited so long for the delivery.

Tea is excellent but food can be expensive and portion size is small. With two adults and two kids eating breakfast you can spend nearly £30 and still feel hungry after an hour.

Food was good. Ordered takeaway which was sent promptly. Chai can be improved on. Vegetables and egg dishes are good. Paratha can again be improved on as it seemed like it had been cooked from frozen.

Popped in after passing here numerous times. Great menu and very helpful staff. Love the fact you can get street food at a reasonable price. Ordered a Bombay sandwich, veg thaali and vada pav. The Vada Pav was my favourite. Chai tea was lovely too. Will be back to sample more from the menu

I attended The restaurant last week and had excellent service. I returned today with my wife to order a Thaali and was told they had no roti available and I can have paratha with butter, I said I don't like paratha and can I have instead naan. I was told no. I decided not to order anything for myself. I then ordered a rose falooda and was told no rose is available. The young staff was very helpful. I was going to come back on Saturday with the family, I am reluctant to do so after today's experience. Very disappointing service.

Excellent branch. The lady serving us was SO knowledgeable, kind, patient and had lots of knowledge on the menu. A credit to the company, throughly impressed. I think her name was Prinyka but I may be mistaken!

Lovely settings prep time for food was quite slow thought would be tasty but quite a disappointment bland undercooked spices and definatley not cooked from scratch shop brought parathas and charging 3 times the price probably won't return

Very delicious Indian street food! I had the Veg Thaali and also tried the Samosa Chaat and would highly recommend. The Chaii was incredibly tasty and transported me right back to India. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough! Will definitely be back.

I have been here multiple times and never been disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious. Their service and ambience is great too. Highly recommended.

I had just gone there for a 'karak chai' but came across a lot of options for food. So, I ordered chilli chicken with naan. It was delicious and very very filling. The quantity is good for 1 person. I also had karak chai which i regularly drink from here.The taste is same everytime and is a good stress buster after work. I have also tried their chicken tikka wrap, which is also a good option to try. The staff is also very welcoming and always open to suggest you options to try.

Beautiful space, took lovely pictures there. Customer services is super nice, everyone is pleasant and always smiling. I also like that they have variety of meals and drinks to choose from, I tried 2 different meals and they were super nice. Great experience all in all. Will definitely be visiting regularly.

I ordered the chilli panner from karak chaii and unfortunately i was disappointed by the portion size. The taste was okay, I understand that every business does chilli paneer slightly differently. However for £5.75 I felt as if the portion size was much too small to justify the price especially in comparison to Chaiwala only a few doors down on City Rd.

I went with my work colleagues, we work in a school, we were lucky enough to taste everything on the menu between us, the food is so tasty, you knew you were eating high quality food products, they have also started to serve curries and the Meat and sauces were beautiful. They also have a wonderful dessert menu. This is real authentic Indian street food, not expensive at all. Service was excellent. Speciality teas and coffees also Thank you all, we will be retuning for sure

The prices have gone up too much... why though? The chai's weren't even worth it when it was £1.95

Walked in with little expectations to be honest but greeted by the best person (SALMA) behind the counter, polite, caring, conversant, suggested the best they had to offer. It was an absolute treat. My wife and I loved it.

The price is expensive (£7.30) for food you can do at home spending half of this cost. The taste is ok. Maybe different meals would be worth to try and spend money on. Friendly staff and enjoyable atmosphere

I recently visited this local Karak Chaii store and really loved the karak chai. The shop itself is cosy and inviting, with friendly staff who were happy to recommend their favorite flavors. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic cup of chai.

Beautiful corner to drink Karak tea or Coffee. Fantastic interior. Enjoyable hot drinks. Remains open untill midnight.

Hi I love the food absolutely amazing amd delicious 😋 😍 But its was absolutely cold I asked the a lady to put the heating on she said it's not working. It's ridiculous look at the weather you put the heating on

TOTAL SCAMMERS, over charged me for my order and the order was not even correct. It gets worse.. the milk was curdled and it appears the tea is kept for multiple days. When I took this back, the man at the counter with the bold head, could not have been more rude. I did not get a replacement or a refund and was told that the milk was in date. Well clearly if the tea is curdled, it unfit to drink. Trading standards need to get involved! DO NOT GO HERE!

Absolutely delicious Desi breakfast. Service with a smile. Nice clean place. I’ll definitely return. Recommended Update - I’ve been back a few times and I’ve not been disappointed. If I lived closer I’d be eating here a lot!

This the Second time this week we have been here and I am absolutely in love with this place. The first time we tried the masala omelet toastie with chilli and cheese, alu tikki, vada pav, alu paratha, butter chicken roll with a karak chai (obviously I shared) and everything has been on point including the condiments. Today I tried the cinnamon karak chai with all the above apart we substituted the butter chicken roll for a Punjabi samosa roll and Karak Chai did not disappoint. I don’t usually leave reviews but this place definitely deserves a thumbs up 👍. The customer service has been amazing, the young lady was friendly and very attentive. I’m sure we will be there again in the coming week 😊

Had an amazing halwa paratha with the best cup of chai I've had in Cardiff. True to it's name the Karak Chai is a must drink for anyone who gives this place a shot. As someone who misses home food like crazy this place is now on my top 5 spots to hit when i get that wave of nostalgia.. quick service, lovely staff, great ambience

A wonderful evening at Karak Chaii, I had the desi breakfast with Karak chai.

Real Desi kadak chai. The girl at the counter was hospitable enough to offer another chai after my mom spilled her accidentally. Rare quality i see nowadays. And yes the vadapau was nice too.

Really fresh, authentic tasting food. Had tika sandwich, cheese roti, chicken kebab, bhaji. Lovely. Recommended

Very rude customer service. I bought my morning Karak chai and asked for a cup of water but the guy refused to give me the water. It was really unexpected and unprofessional behaviour. The guy wearing glass he should remove from customer service. Company owner please take care of your business.

I’ve been here pretty much weekly since discovering this across the road from my barbers and have formed an addiction for the Karak Chaii selections! The staff are unbelievably friendly and always a pleasure to deal with and carry huge smiles on their faces and as well as being the best tasting beverages around, they are also very affordable tor anyone! Highly recommended and tell everyone about them!

I loved everything they had, from the decor to the food, everything was presented perfectly. The staff were very friendly and the manager is lovely. In my opinion, this is the best place in Cardiff for tea! I've tried other places and personally I think this place is better. We had high expectations looking at the images of food items. Ordered all day breakfast which came with omelette, pratha and chickpeas. Omelette on the picture has vegetables in it, now the brought dry tasteless plain omelette. Not even salt taste. If there wouldn't be flavour on chickpeas it would have been completely tasteless. Omelette wrap was tasting like flour nothing else. Omelette inside had no taste at all. Ordered mint tea received black tea with 1 mint leaf inside. The reason I ordered a mint tea is because I don't handle caffeine very well.

I am visitor from Germany and I am impressed by excellent service from a Jung Lady on a Sunday morning. She made my day. Had Food and Karaak Chai, both were too good. Keep it up guys.

There staff is good and batter tea

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Placed an order through deliveroo. Restaurant rang up to say that they couldn't do aloo paratha. This was the main order!! They were advised to cancel and not send any food. Yet they sent deliveroo driver with half the order. On ringing them up again, they argued ad infinitum. Total disgrace to the Indian food loving community of Cardiff.

Tried the pink chai was was delicious. Can I ask who makes this and how long it takes? Price was v. reasonable too

My friends adviced me to visit but now I won't suggest anyone to go there as the price of products is not worthy. They served me undercooked food and when i informed this to them the attendent was rude. I would have given zero stars if possible.

Best tea in town, the food is delicious and the desserts are just amazing.. Whether you need a place to eat or just to have a tea chat with your friends.. highly recommended!
