Not applicable takeaway used to be best curry house in Cardiff. Very disappointed in overall quality of meal uncooked onions chicken poor quality

My family had a delivery, which took over an hour to wait. Understandable it was a Saturday night, but all the food was cold, chips were stale and the madras sauce had froth on top. They didn’t answer the phone, they took the phone off the hook as I drove there to tell them. The manager asked for the food back. And he could only give me half of a refund. I told him, my mum have injected as she is diabetic and I am diabetic type 2. He didn’t care less. I said the madras has foam on top of it and he said, we can’t prove that can we? I said you have sent me inedible food, and your only giving me half my money back? That’s what he did. My dad went there to tell him the situation and he gave him the full money back and told him he was banned. He also threatened to call the police on my dad for asking for a refund even though we returned the full order. NEVER again will we go there or order from there again. Very disappointed as we have used this restaurant for many years. The manager had no people skills and was very confrontational. The manager with the combed hair and black beard, you can’t miss him.

I ordered from this restaurant via deliveroo, deliveroo stated that the driver would be from the restaurant, the driver called me and was at the wrong location, I gave him the correct location and after 50 minutes the food still has not been delivered. Not only that, but when trying to contact the restaurant, after numerous phone calls the line remained engaged and I was given no other form of contact. The food has still not been delivered. I will be asking for a refund when I finally get through to them

Truly amazing Indian food - cooked to perfection… I don’t know how else t say it, seeing as I am forced to use at least 100 characters… BUT…what can I say… I can’t remember ever having had a better meal from an Indian restaurant.

I popped into the Panama for some food recently and really enjoyed everything. I had onion bhaji to start. These were excellent and the portion size was impressive (4 bhajis). For mains I had the Prawn Dhansak with a Garlic Naan. The Dhansak was really nice, one of the best around. A great combination of sweet and heat. There's a good selection of bottled beer to choose from and the staff were all friendly. I'll definitely be back. I've added there takeaway menu so you can how extensive it is.

We went to the Panama for a 70 th birthday , from start to finish the service was brilliant , spotlessly clean , food all delicious , and all piping hot , the most amazing flavours in all the food ,staff are all very sociable and friendly and joined in the fun of the group . Small prawns considering they are king prawns. They are cut down waay too small. Other than that good food. 👍

Decided to take a lep of faith and order despite other restaurants having more reviews. 0 idea which was best as from Manchester. Orderd for collection- 3 different meals which were all hot and so tasty. Nipped in to pick up and the restaurant was well decorated and staff were pleasant. Amazing food quality!

I visited Panama on 28th December with 7 family members, my first impression was everything looked very clean and tidy. We all had a great evening at the restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and gave us excellent service. There is a good choice of food on the menu and everything we had was cooked perfectly and as we asked for and was of excellent quality and quantity. I highly recommend the Panama and will definitely use again.

Amazing food, very polite and friendly service and a great atmosphere. I had the best chicken shashlick and the peshwari nan was full of flavour. Everything was presented beautifully and the portions were generous. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Best Indian restaurant in Cardiff by far

Visited here with family for the first time in a few years and realised what we’ve missed! Amazing curry, big portions and lovely service! Can’t wait to come back!

Even though we turned up at 9pm with no booking, taken striaght to a seat and we we served quickly with friendly service. Absolutely delicious and portions are generous to boot to the point I struggled to finish - although it was so nice I just wanted to keep going. Prices are more than reasonable, pleasantly surprised when the bill came in. It did seem very quiet when we were there, so atmosphere was a bit lacking really - but being new to the area maybe that's the norm for 9pm on Friday. Of course, we'll be back to find out what it's like at other times! So glad we decided to come here on a whim, and I'm pretty sure this is going to be our go-to local restaurant from now.

What an outstanding meal, the food was delicious and service was excellent. Great value for money. Have been attending this restaurant for many years and the owner is always accommodating.

Very misleading. Website and TripAdvisor states open until 12am. Only open for takeaway until 12am, which is not made clear. Rang to ask the question at 22.40pm on whether they were open as was outside the restaraunt and ignored at the door. Response to being open until 12am was "Those day's are gone mate". Waste of time.

Visited at opening time. Really nice decor and vibe. Good service. Food was of a good standard. Shame we ordered starters as this filled us before our mains. But very enjoyable

i go here a few times and the food is allways oh a high standed and the staff helpful as well. however i came here to night with a friend and im very dissapointed as the food wasent up to its standed as it allways is. i had a few pieces off my chicken tikka missala which i have very thick sauce and extra sweet which it was but when i started to cut another piece it wouldent cut it was like leather rubbery and i left quite a few pieces on the side so as to show the waiter. but then i asked once about it and they said they will look into it then asked again same things and my mate suggested we go up and pay and mention it then which i did. and the guy we told was very off with me saying no one else has complained to night i said im not intrested about that just my dish that im paying for end of the day and he was haveing a go at me like im in the wrong. anyways another member of staff did the transaction and he took three quid off the bill but its the principle of the thing the chicken shoulent have been like this to start with and he said you have eaten so much yes i said that was the few pieces that were ok but so much of the other pieces were tough and couldent even cut let alone eat it so overalll bad experience at was one good place to have a curry bot sadly not to night.

I ordered a delivery and a few issues The delivery charge went from £3 to £6.50 when processing order and they forgot nan 😩

Have been coming here for nearly 20 years and have never been disappointed. The standard of food is consistently excellent. We were a family group and everybody enjoyed their food. Service was very good and the at,o sphere was lovely and relaxed. I never fail to be impressed by the flavours in all the dishes. Highly recommended. The best Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine I have ever had.

Panama never fails to disappoint it must be 8 years since my last visit since i moved away from Cardiff attended for mothers day . As always the food and service is top notch the kebab puri is just something else as good as i remember 8 years ago for the main i went for the mixed tandoori hot sizzle plate again absolutely fantastic served with a side masala so not completely dry the bread was fresh moist and delicious ! It was a table of clean plates ! How the keep it this good after such a long period is impressive

Great little Indian restaurant on Whitchurch Road. Nicely furnished with modern interior. Plenty of veggie options on the menu and the portions were large. Overall we thought it was great value for money. Service was ok could be better.

The food is always fantastic. Another visit to one of my favourite restaurants yesterday with some mates and the food and service was spot on as always. It's always a pleasure to dine there so we'll be back again very soon.

Have been here a number of times now, with both friends and family also had a few takeaways over the past few years. Really nice food especially the fluffy naan breads, staff are very friendly and accommodating always look forward to the visit there. The only reason 5*s weren't given was the chicken chaat was too salty on more than one occasion

We did wonder if they have a new owner as the staff seemed new and it was almost empty, whereas in the pas it’s always been full. The food wasn’t so good this time, the Onion Bargees were quite hard and Luke warm. My main course I had to really look to find the Chicken, they were such small pieces and also quite hard and this meal wasn’t piping hot. The Nan Breaf was absolutely delicious, the best I’ve had for a long time. I was quite disappointed. The staff were polite and friendly and the service was quite fast! Will I try it again? Not really sure.

Good food though let down by sloppy waiter service - dishes just plonked on our table, some waiters wore dirty shirts, the restaurant was cold and drafty! Other customers saying much the same! Balti Cuisine is far better in every aspect!

Expect a minimum 90mins wait time delivery, and have a microwave ready to warm it up.

Just had a takeaway fromThe Panama for the first time in years and it won’t be long before I get another one. Tandoori Chicken Tikka & Chicken Buhna were perfect as were the accompanying mushroom rice and onion bhaji. Service was fast and the portions were very generous. Well worth trying.

After 2.5 hours of waiting we found our delivery driver at the front doors of our apartment building having handed the food over to someone else. We weren’t offered any compensation despite being a loyal customer, very disappointment and won’t be ordering again.

El paneer sag y el subzi bhajee fueron algunas de las mejores comidas indias vegetarianas que he probado fuera de la India. El personal fue muy amable y hospitalario. My Cardiff’s Indian restaurants low point. Soggy papadums, tasteless overcooked Tandoori, warm Perrier, no ice, indifferent service and a miserable atmosphere. Expected much more given reviews but got way less .

Pedimos una comida para llevar de este indio solo para comer, hubo un problema con solo comer y no nos entregaron nuestro pedido, llamamos al restaurante y fueron muy serviciales y nos entregaron nuestro pedido de forma gratuita después de que fallara la comida también. La comida era muy buena y perfectamente preparada, porciones de buen tamaño y sin duda ordenaríamos desde aquí de nuevo! ¡Gracias!

Panamá ha existido por mucho tiempo y eso dice mucho. Mi papá solía ir allí y ahora yo voy allí. La comida es excelente, como son los tamaños de las porciones. El personal siempre es muy amable. Panamá siempre ha servido un gran curry y es por eso que la gente sigue regresando. He vivido en Cardiff toda mi vida y siempre he comido en este lugar especial.

I've eaten at the Panama many times over the years. The only reason I don't eat there more is that I don't live that close.I popped in tonight for a Takeaway and was warmly welcomed. The food was as always excellent, really good quality.The Panama have some excellent deals for NHS workers. You can't fault this.

I feel like I’ve eaten somewhere different to many others on this page. Ordered a takeaway from here for the first time and it was dreadful. Meat was not marinated, sauce was oily and runny... We will not be back.

Standard curry house. Nice curry and plenty served. Although updated it was like a time warp going back in time. Last time I went was about 15years ago. Just what I expected.

Food was ready quickly. Competitively priced. Very friendly staff. Food very nice but have tasted better. Would eat there again though.
