Very delicious food and my first experience and i'm satisfy their services .The staff are excellent, very attentive and polite.

Just had a great night out with my friends (party of 8) at Maya. We all had different starters and main dishes which were all freshly cooked, hot and delicious. Lovely friendly and fast service made it a great evening. Thank you all at Maya. We'll be back!

Excellent food....and service... I've ordered for dhaba lamb , captain pathila pilau rice...i really njoyed them ..and the chef ..he was very lovely and cool

Great spicy food and nice gimmick with the hanging naan breads! Busy but they served well and quickly. I was surprised to have to go across the road to the supermarket to purchase alcohol, but of course it turned out a lot cheaper. The price is extremely reasonable too, by the way.

Unfortunately they use a very watery and bland base gravy. All the curries I’ve had have tasted the same. The portions were large but borderline inedible

We went to Maya's for the first time late Saturday afternoon with my 7 year old daughter and husband, staff were very helpful and although they didn't have a kids menu, they catered for my daughter with something especially for her fussy tastes. My husband and I both enjoyed our popadoms, onion bhagee starters and vegetarian mains... paneer masala and sag paneer were both very tasty and the giant garlic nan was huge with a lovely texture and flavour. The portions were so generous that we couldn't eat it all so the waiter kindly offered to box it up for us. The restaurant had a large booking of friends sat at the back watching the football and they looked like they had a great night watching the match with BYO beers and delicious food...great idea! I returned this evening to collect my purse which I had unknowingly dropped, I am super grateful for the honest staff keeping it safe behind the till. Huge relief to be reunited with it so a heartfelt thanks once again! I would highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to enjoy another meal in the near future!

Placed order over uber 28th December 18:17. order ETA was 18:55 - 19:15. never arrived made several call to Maya Indian Dining. every time i was given excuse. i cancelled order with Uber at 20:06 Maya Indian dining staff member called me to accept the delivery . then manager from restaurant called me . he was talking aggressively. Used F work 2 times . i will never recommend Maya Indian dining for the Customer service i received .

Don't order from here, ordered from deliveroo 40mins late I call them up for him to say they can't deliver and for me to cancel. Why on earth are you on a delivery site for 😂 he even asked if I could pick it up well clearly not otherwise I would've done that in the first place 😂 waste of time waited here starving to death waiting for food that they clearly wasn't even making 😂 have more chance of Russia actually taking over Ukraine then this place delivering your food, they must've been cooking the rice by the grain as they totally forgot they had to deliver it

Curry was watery poppadoms were like rubber, seemed like they were cooked yesterday.

My favourite takeaway for a long time ....whats gone wrong ??? Shocking meal My birthday treat was ruined ...vindaloo sauce was sweet ..I paid £15 for a maya platter which was supposed to include amongst other thing lamb chops and King prawns neither of which were included ...im left feeling very let down and disrespected as a regular customer oh ye and if I didn't mention nan bread which aren't cheap were in edible ....see vid Thanks for robbing me maya

After telling us our uber eats order had left "5 minutes ago" when it was past the estimated delivery time, it turns out they had never looked at it up and never started cooking it when we enquired another 30 minutes later (now 90 minutes after order). Did click for a refund. Completely untrustworthy and I would not order again. EDIT: We have been charged by UberEats with the restaurant claiming that they had made the food already. I can only imagine they are engaging in fraudulent practices, charging for things they never make. I can only suggest that no-one orders from here and Albany Rd can be rid of them. I would give no stars if Google allowed me to!

Terrible experience. Like others have said waited nearly 2 hours for my food. When you ring the restaurant they just fob you off, telling you the driver just left and it will be 10-20 minutes, over and over just pretty much lying to you. No apology whatsoever, just save yourself the stress and order elsewhere

Lovely food, however delivery took 2.5 hours, and was supposed to take 30 mins. Every time we called they told us it would be out for delivery in 10 minutes or it had just left etc, but it still took a long time. Obviously lying rather than apologising and giving us accurate information. Didn’t get our food until gone 9pm. It’s a shame as the food was nice, but the service wasn’t. Wouldn’t buy there again

Ordered a meal last Friday at 5 25 was told it would be 45 minutes nearly an hour had gone by and no sign of the meal so phoned the restaurant and told it was on its way waited another 15 to 20 minutes and still no sign so rang again and we're told driver couldn't find the address so we're told it would be sent back in about half an hour to that I said it better be hot the gentleman I spoke to said it would be done fresh so we had to wait another half hour well when it did eventually arrive the chips were cold rice was luck warm and the curry was cold and discusting wasn't happy at all and won't be ordering from them again not a very happy customer at all.

Absolutely disgusting! Please do not order from here. It will be a waste of money trust me. I spent £25 and the only thing was ok was the biryani. Chips was refried in the microwave and dogs wouldn’t even eat it. The lamb korai was full of big onions and maybe 3 picese meat with no spice whatsoever. Lamb tikka was bad. Vegetable side not even worth my time to write about. Nan bread, you might as well eat kings mill bread with curry. £2 bottle coke and he wanted £4 Food was medium to cold. Went for an holiday and end up with this terrible meal. Read reviews and forget the 5 star fake ones. If you can’t find any other place then just go for chicken and chips from your local chip shop.

1 star rating as the food was nice but we waited over 2 hours for it. Do not order from here if you're hungry and expecting the food to arrive quickly. Very frustrating trying to communicate with staff. They keep telling you the food is 15-20 minutes away and this goes on for more than an hour. In the end had to ask for the delivery driver's number so that I could ask him how long he'd actually be and it finally came 20 minutes after. I understand when a restaurant is busy but if the wait times were truthfully advertised, there would be no need for frustration.

Do not order!! had friends over who decided to order, waited over 2 hours phone calls to the restaurant multiple times where at some point they said he said he’s just left, he 30 mins later he’s left 5 mins ago, hung up on multiple times, ask for the the delivery drivers number to be told “bye bye” persisted and asked again and delivery driver was 20 mins away

Can't recommend enough. Helpful staff, food was amazing! The giant naan and paneer jalfrezi were my favourite. Our eyes were bigger than our belly but they packed everything up for us. Will definitely be coming back

Had a walk around Albany to look for somewhere to eat and so glad we decided on Maya, the food was served quickly and was so tasty, Abdul was very accommodating and offered us extra onion Bahji and Naan, free of charge! So friendly and good value for money, will 100% be returning again! 5* :)

Food arrived late. Food tasted and felt like it was warmed up from frozen. Hygiene issues are reported for this restaurant. I will not be ordering here again.

The worst food experiance no taste boiled chicken with curry sauce and very expensive. On their website they have cheaper prices but when eat at the restraunt the prices 1.5 x more expensive and the waiter was rude and was not happy as we only ordered 3 starters and 2 main course and 3 tandoor roti between three of us, Dont waste your money here.

Myself and my partner have eaten numerous times at this restaurant prior to and including Covid times! We have this evening ordered a three course meal for delivery, delicious as always. I can particularly recommend the chicken dhansak, a bit spicy 🔥 but massive flavours, awesome. Delivered within time frame stated.

Terrible food. Raw, bloody chicken. Flavourless sauce abs terrible bland rice. We payed £40.20 and it was completely inedible. So disappointed and will not eat there again. I wouldn’t even give backfired a star

Please read recent reviews before trying out. Whilst there are currently nice offers on delivery apps for this restaurant, it has faced hygiene issues and has ongoing problems with quality control and delivery times. Our order arrived 40 minutes after the maximum projected wait. One curry was full of water and turned the rice into a soup, the other only had four tiny cubes of chicken in a huge container of korma sauce. Despite being so, so late, its obvious both dishes were chucked out of the kitchen in a rush. I wouldnt bother if I were you.

Can't comment on the food as it never arrived, rang after an hour and a halfs wait, staff said it would be with us soon, still nothing after another thirty minutes so cancelled the order. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. Absolutely useless they said the driver had it.

Returned here recently and had another excellent meal. The restaurant remains very clean and the staff are most welcoming.We ordered sea bass as one of our dishes but they had run out so the chef cooked a beautiful Tilapia dish which was on the house! They also do the biggest sharing naans that come suspended on a pole like a huge sail! All of the food was exquisite and my brother in law from Leicester said it was the best curry he's ever had! I really think this is currently Cardiffs best indian food and superb value.As ever guys Thank-you all very much!

We love this place, you could have a different curry every time and it’s always good, well amazing! We’ve tried them all as we don’t mind to travel for good food, Barry, Penarth, Cowbridge, Newport even and this place is by far the best. We have now stopped looking as this is levels ahead of the others. Tonight we had the lamb shank (falling off the bone) and the Dhaba Lamb (number 37) and both outstanding. I like a bit of a kick and the number 37 was spot on. We had a delivery all the way to Llandough from Albany road and it arrived hot and really quick. Quality service, quality food what more can you want. Keep up the good work, customer for life ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Curry is average. Once I had given my phone number for a delivery I have had non-stop unsolicited text messages for over a year now with no way to stop them. Appalling business - stay away.

Delivery was very late by 40mins without communication. Delivery drivers excuse was traffic- on a sunday night hmmmm🙈..... Popadoms were stale, bhuna was very greasy, mint dip was very warm, naan was very small, chips were cold and wet. Sort yourselves out!!!!!!!

This is my fourth Friday night visit in a row to Maya. Delicious meals, creatively presented. My favourite vegetable dish is their Bindi Bhaji (green okras) and any of their lamb dishes are succulent and tender. A real local find after lockdown. Also quick service...

Excellent atmosphere!! Very friendly people at the restaurant, tasty food. Should try the dil laghe dish - a good combination of chicken with caramelised onions and fresh mint and the dhaba lamb- which has special spices added. Always my first choice to come for dinner...

Fantastic food, excellent service

I visited them for the first time over 2 months ago and never got such a hard and cold chicken. I was unable to cut it in some places... I returned it to the kitchen and after a while waiter came back and said that the cook refused to replace it and that the chicken should to be so hard & dry. Shock!!! I'll never go back there.

Ordered lamb and prawn Bryani's, with chutney tray. All was cooked to perfection. Have previously eaten at the restaurant and must say the takeaway was exactly the same quality 10/10 thank you for a lovely meal.😁
