Karahi House Indian Restaurant in Mole Valley

We waited well over an hour for our food and when it was delivered, we were given the wrong order as they put rhe wrong ticket on the bag. We had ordered over £40 worth of food and when we contacted the shop, they sent a really poor replacement. I emailed asking for a refund, went into the shop and continually fobbed off. The manager said he would sort a refund but this still hasn't happened...despite multiple contacts.

Probably the worst curry I’ve ever had , I can eat Indian food every day off the week, I thought they got their act together, the food I ordered was very different from from what I received. I’m flabbergasted at the sheer incompetence of the owners to provide descent food, instead they give you days old crap to save on costs, shame on you Karahi House. I will be putting up posters in leatherhead to encourage people to stay away from this sewer.

Had a very good meal here. Certainly the best curry for miles around. Generous potion - doggy bag needed.

No idea how this place has any excellent reviews. The service was ok, but was takeaway so not much to go wrong. The food looked ok, and was edible, but that was it. I ordered a Madras and it had no spice or heat all. It wasn't even a curry, just bland curry looking slip. Will not return, advise you never too go!

Park across the road. Small shop, really friendly staff and food ready on time. I had a lockdown takeaway, but there are a few tables in the place. Got the food home and the Onion Bhajiis are big and beautiful. Popadums are obviously fresh. Pilau rice and nan are well done. Had 3 mains and they were all superb, lamb was so tender. Excellent takeaway

Really good curry only thing i would say is they need to say what has chillis and what doesnt as mine was so hot

I’ve been a customer who always enjoyed going here and specially their banquet night but as of today ordering for delivery we tried to pay by card and was told he would call back to take the details later, 20 mins in we called back to pay, he said he’d call back then another 20 minutes passed so we called again and asked if our food was even being cooked as they still hadn’t called for the payment, he said yes it’ll be 20 minutes and to take the details now. Food arrived 1 and a half hours after when we made the first call, missing an item, which they did bring after but then found the poppodums stale, the mint sauce wasn’t very mint and not very nice at all, the tikka masala didn’t taste like I normal have and also wasn’t very nice, the chicken was very dry in both curries, onion bhaji stoggy and greasy, didn’t really enjoy any of the food. For a big build up it was a big let down. Wouldn’t recommend or order again.

Our family have been regulars at Karachi House for a number of years now to eat in and for Take Aways, never disappointed and never hungry. This has now changed hands and our first experience was disappointing with the quality of food not nearly as good and they forgot 2 dishes. Time to find somewhere else as the people who bought it are not known for the quality of their food also running another curry house in the high street!

Another wonderful take away. Thanks for everything Mr. Ali. The extra onion bhajis, over the years, were truly appreciated as were all the great meals and the beers on the house. We loved banquet nights, especially when the restaurant was closed and you let us in anyway and sat us at the takeaway table. Most importantly, you always looked after us so well and your generosity and kindness will always be remembered. We will miss you. Mr. Farnham

We fancied an Indian meal , but the weather was awful ! Rang to find their delivery service was operating so ordered some food . The dishes were great , very tasty all round, nice fresh poppadoms and delivered to our door !

I use Karahi House at least once a week often twice and often look at the reviews here. I also occasionally try other restaurants usually only once because they cannot match up to Karahi House by a long chalk. With everything taken into consideration, eating in or taking away here is unbeatable. Perfection is yet to come, granted, but they are pretty close! Very pleased with the delivery for our Christmas dinner party. Mike.

The food is good, but no one seems happy. The bill, when it arrives, only itemises a few things and it’s very confusing. Even when you question it you don’t get a coherent answer. As a result you will be charged a few pounds more than you should be. It’s annoying , but maybe it’s their way of getting a tip!!!! Maybe that’s why there are few diners?

A small but sufficient restaurant. Gone for a take out meal for the family and the food were great! Off the beaten track out Of the way from the high street and sure to be my little secret

I have been coming to this curry house regularly over the last 2 years and have not had a bad meal whether we eat in or have a take away. Would recommend the food as it has great flavour and great value for money.

Fab tasty food all reasonably priced with added bonus of discount if you collect . It well not be beaten for quality and price by other local curry houses . We regularly eat from here .

Very rarely use anywhere else because, all things considered, this is the best, possibly anywhere in the world!! I use this restaurant weekly for my curry (curries?!) and held my 60th birthday party there where the staff excelled themselves. I use both the eat in and collection services; delivery is available.I recognise some others' criticisms but if there were anywhere better within a considerable distance I would go there. I mentioned it was time to replace the chairs before going on holiday and look forward to luxuriating in the new seating upon return.Mike.

Came exactly on time, lovely and hot and tasted great.

Chicken wasn't great, some of the lamb was chewy, sauce was watery and the salad looked like it was the day before

Was in shower when delivered half hour early so if asking for specific time then expect it to be delivered at that time not before

I ordered a chicken tikka madras and got a chicken masala.

Used Ashtead Balti for years but food quality and customer service has deteriorated recently, as well as prices increased. so thought would give another restaurant ago. Wish I had done a long time ago because I'm extremely impressed with Karahi. Flavours are awesome and food arrived quickly and Very Hot. Recommend the Dhansak.

We really enjoyed our meal but one of our dishes was missing. The restaurant apologised and delivered it within ten minutes and we enjoyed our meal still warm. Will order again.

Restaurant added 15m to the expected delivery time but then delivered 15m early instead, very quick. The tikka malala is coconut style. All very tasty.

I love this place ! The food is delicious, fresh ingredients, there is nowhere like it . Restaurant itself is basic but fun... takeaways are divine and reasonably priced .

We were missing mango chutney and an extra mint sauce that we asked for. Also we were sent boiled rice not pilau. Usually good on what's ordered.

Took an hour and 20 minutes to arrive, didn't have all the order in there. By the time it arrived it was cold, still tasted good though as i was very hungry by this time.

Delivery time has 15 minutes added, but was still an additional 45 mins late. Items poorly contained in delivery bag, all completely smothered in oil. Missing one item and all food barely luke warm. That's the practical details. Taste is subjective, but I found the food quite basic, bland and disappointing. Last time I ordered from the same place, they promised a free bottle of wine over a certain order value - which they didn't actually deliver. Lost 1 customer.

The best curry around, always hot and plenty of food.both Ali's are aalways helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend this Indian, even on deliveries the food is always good

Ordered food to be delivered at 20:10 due to wife finishing work at 20:00..... unfortunately delivered at 19:32... so wasn't impressed!!

Great food! Delievery is normally on time however during busy hours (Friday/Saturday evening) may run a little late, always greeted politely, best Indian around the area by a long way.

Karahi House is a small Indian takeaway in Leatherhead. Polite and courteous, and food to die for. The Rushani curry with one huge piece of chicken in whatever sauce you fancy is simply the best. Take it from a man who has done a curry or two. Ten out of ten

Normalmente utilizamos siempre este lugar como lugar para llevar a comer en casa o por amigos, ya que tienen todos los favoritos y algunas especialidades muy sabroso, que no sólo son de primera y deliciosa, pero también bastante más barato que cualquiera de los rivales más cercana. También puede comer aquí, es un poco pequeña, pero el personal es amable y el precio no sube sólo porque estás de comedor.

This is our local indian that we use for take aways. Have also had dinner there with friends and this is a small nice place.

Very unpleasant driver. He called me twice - once asking if I know place where he is at & asking if someone could come downstairs to pick food up, second time - advising he has arrived & if someone is coming. Not the best experience

I always order the same at any Indian takeaway, I was disappointed with the quality of the sheekh kebab, it was a good size but very bland and not as spicy as it should be, the king prawn butterfly was terrible, it was a huge soggy piece of breadcrumb with little sign of prawn. The only positive was the size of the portions, plenty of chicken in the madras, but I doubt I'll be back eating here in a hurry

Tasty food and arrived warm. Arrived 25 mins after expected time but must have been busy as they are usually always early or on time. Usually always put extra freebies in when you spend a certain amount which is always nice!

The food was delicious and arrived fairly quickly! Unfortunately the lid on the Lamb madras had come loose so there was madras sauce on the inside of the bag and smearing the other items. Bit messy but didn't subtract from the taste!

Didn't get my naan which seems to be a common mistake on their part. Traffic too bad to go back! For the price that I paid food was good. Not outstanding but good. If u want something with a bit of heat I suggest u ask for it in the comments box.

One poppadum for 3 meals is worse than none. Balti tasted like a pot noodle. Tikka masala was very sweet. Tikka Karahi was good
