Ordered food online as before. We have had some issues in the past and on this occasion they delivered a chicken tikka dish instead of a paneer tikka for a vegetarian. Didn't know it was chicken until they bit into it. The shop admitted chef made mistake but no apology and seemed uninterested and even rude about it. Clearly didn't want to replace the meal and not concerned they gave meat to a vegetarian. Even asked for the meal back, although had bitten into at least one piece of chicken. Terrible customer service. Wont be ordering again.

Shocking service orded a takeaway at 6:30pm with a delivery estimate of 7pm. We called restaurant at 7:30 where they said it hadn’t even been made yet as they were very busy! Why give an estimated time if no intention of keeping to it ! Eventually turned up at 8:10pm stone cold ! Kebabs were dry and tasteless , really really poor . Man was rude on the phone to my wife when she called. Definitely will not be ordering again .

This used to be our regular curry place, but not anymore tonight’s takeaway order was awful. Everything was swimming in oil. The vegetable samosas where tasteless and hardly contained any filling. All the main courses where watery and the meat or fish content was minimal. The Nan looked like it had been cooked in an oil slick. All told very disappointed, particularly as the food used to be great. Won’t be coming back after this experience

Avoid this place, its a scam. They show wrong prices on the menu and charge extra on the bill. Had a terrible eating experience, not only bad service but also wrong bill. Menu items were overcharged on the bill and also added an extra item. When queried the guy behind the counter was rude dismissing the menu prices as printing mistake on the menu... didn't honour the menu prices at all. Removal of extra item from the bill was a big hassle. Rude waiter called himself as the boss lol and said his name was UK.... pure arrogance. Note the food was average and overpriced what this place had to offer.

I have been here few times and have mostly ordered the same food but recently the food quality is gone down in ditches. This time they burnt the Lasooni prawns it was like chewing rubber and when I complained the guy started to argue and insisted this is how prawn is cooked in tandoor as though he is the only one who knows how tandoor cooked prawn tastes. The chef there who cooked the dish was apologetic but the other guy was so arrogant and rude and was not bothered about the quality of the food they served. Try avoid this place if the guy who there is a guy working on the till. He will ruin your evening.

Too much colours, Dry Kababs. Phoned Karahi King and Person who answered the phone gave me his name as UK and was careless about the complaint. Hence I stopped buying food from them. I bought Mix Grill many times before and was good. Either they have changed the chef or recipe. Wouldn't go back again until they improve the food quality.

i orders nearly £100 worth of food from this awful establishment on 06-03-2021. and 2 hours later i was still waiting for the food, i called them and when they finally decided to answer their phone, i was greeted by the RUDEST attendant ever! she had told me that they havent recieved my order even though they have recieved my payment? please tell me how this firstly makes sense?! After quarelling for around 5 mins i was told a manager would call me back. Nobody called. I called again and then again was told i would get a call back. This time i asked for her name to which she replied " i am not giving you my name" so i decided to go down to the restaurant as the manager was refusing to talk to me. within 2 minutes i got a call from the manager and rather than him being helpful i was told to cancel an order that had already gone through ( Also you dont have the option to cancel an order on thier website.) He proceeded to tell me its upto me to get my money back?! that i need to contact my bank. if this place was reported, which after the experience ive had, i really wouldnt mind doing, they would get closed within minutes. i have never been so digusted with the lack of customer service. You get better service from a McDonalds.

On this visit, I was quite disappointed. I didn’t enjoy my meal - the salad in the kebab roll was so wet and sloppy. My family members felt they also experienced a slight recipe change. We have been coming to Karahi Express over many years. They were really good many years ago, now the quality varies depends on which cook is doing your order. But our most recent visit to pick up a takeaway was shocking. They now use the smallest, thinnest plastic food container rather than deep tin foil container. Charges the same price as eating in restaurant menu price. I was shocked about the the mickey they are taking. I don't think I will be back any more as it's just a rip off.

Went for a Mothers Day treat with the family. Good attentive service but the waiter needed help with the names of the dishes. Great tasting Vegetarian food-we had paneer and Gobi starters . Mains were very small -too small considering the price Infact we had to order an extra dish as the number we ordered did was not enough Although described at Mains the veggie dishes seemed more like side dishes The food wad good especially the chana and saag. I ordered some onions and surprised that i got charged -i can understand being charged for a salaad but sliced onions -really? Overall the food was good but it is a very noisy atmosphere and the restaurant has poor acoustics so it seemed noisier. Would go again but would be selective about the time and perhaps will miss out the onion salad

Only one of them, the Chicken dansak tasted remotely authentic.two of us left our entire meals and our friends did a little better.i was asked if they could clear the table and and that point if my meal was ok, too which we mentioned the poor flavours and burnt sauce taste. Whilst waiting for the bill i visited the Gents to stand in 2 / 3 mm urine and other mess, the hand basin was very dirty and had not seen a good clean for some time, also the door was sticky and greasy dirty. As i left the swamp i noticed a trail of urine footprints working their way through the main dinning area. The bill came with no deductions or attempt of an apology. The Slough area has a plethora of great Indian and other cultural cuisine, this is not somewhere i would recommend any one visit.

I rate Indian restaurants based on what I deem authentic, meaning they haven't been toned down and made bland for western tastes; there is nothing wrong with what I term as "English Indian restaurants", some are very good in their own right, but there is a big difference in flavour and style to proper Indian food. I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the last three years, on business and with friends, and so far it is my favourite Indian restaurant outside of India by a long shot. The restaurant is used by lots of the local Indian population which is always a good sign. The food is quite simply fantastic with every dish tasting different as it should be with a real depth of flavour, not just a change of colour! The breads are very good too, proper tandoori naans and roti. My mouth is watering just typing this........

The Karahi Express has to be the best tasting Indian food I have ever tasted , we used Trip Advisor to find an Indian restaurant and this was certainly no let down.Surroundings are somewhat similar to a canteen style as other members have stated with wipeable chairs and tables - no frills .Basic white plates and cutlery and upturned glass tumblers are placed on each table setting . Now that's the worst part here come s the best.Within minutes popadoms and chutneys are brought to the table with a jug of cold water, along with extensive menus .All dishes are prepared by chefs at the front of the restaurant in full view of diners , I had a look on entering the restaurant and could see , we were in for a treat. The onion bhajis were small and spicy and totally delicious .My Chicken jalfrezi was packed full of flavour with garlic onions coriander ginger and chilli, and my husbands lamb rogan - was moist and tender and beautifully spiced. Our rices were light and fluffy , the naan was average. We were offered a salad to go with the starters .The portion size was way above average and having been reluctant to leave anything as it was so delicious I did feel fairly full the next day.The meal was accompanied by 2 glasses of Cobra beer - bill £36.This is a real find - probably would advise a cisit if you wanted something special or quiet but if you want a good indian meal .. The Karahi Express is the place to go.NB there is a Karahi restaurant further down the road , make sure its the express you visit

We visited the Express on recommendation by friends local to the area. And what a recommendation. First, if you are after a romantic quiet venue, look somewhere else. If on the other hand you demand quality authentic Punjabi food at excellent prices, your search is over. The place is more of a canteen rather than restaurant. It is always busy so book in advance. They do not making booking for parties of two and you could end up sharing your table with strangers, which only adds to the experience. The food is wonderfully fresh and the karahi dishes are incredible. You cans observe them cooked for you in the open plan kitchen. They allow you to bring your own beer/wine/spirits and many customers do. There is no corkage fee. However the on tap Indian beer is very competitively priced. We went for the Somosa chaat, Karahi paneer and aloo methi naan. All were exceptional. The waiter will ask for the level of spicy you want. We went for mild and it got our taste buds firing. We were not brave enough for medium and definitely not insane to go for the hot. Portions are excellent and expect to pay about £17 per person. Staff are very friendly. Tip, there is plenty of car parking space in streets off the main road leaving a 3 minute walk to the restaurant. We live in Reading and this beats every Indian diner there hands down. It is well worth the drive. This is now our local!

It was the first time I ate in an Indian restaurant, as I can't really appreciate hot/spicy food.Of course, they don't have a huge range of not spicy food (I didn't complain of course as it was an Indian restaurant so I'm not criticizing at all !!!). We were a group of 10-11 so we all took kind of appetizers/starters. Most of it was really spicy so I didn't try but some stuff were really good, and the plate looked amazing. My friends advised me to take a Lamb korma, it was spicy but acceptable and very, very good. Delicious dinner there. It was funny, I ordered a pint of beer and the waiter was really shocked that a girl ordered a beer, he couldn't believe it was for me. I hope I didn't offense them...I advise you to go and try this restaurant if you're an Indian food lover ! The staff is nice, the prices are more than correct and the food is delicious.

On arrival I was not overly impressed. The place is strangely laid out like a school canteen. The service was quite relaxed, it felt a little like I was in the wrong place.I do like a place where the kitchen is visible, and the quality of the food shows why they are not ashamed of the kitchen!I ordered my usual chicken dansak with boiled rice and a plain naan. Service was very quick and very good! When you are on your own you want quick! The quality of the chicken was second to none, very succulent well cooked pieces of meat, and a generous portion to boot! Judging by how full I feel 3 hours later I maybe should not have cleaned the bowl! The sauce was perhaps lacking a little in spice, but it was very tasty! It could have done with 1 piece less meat and more sauce. It was very yummy. The boiled rice look quite greasy, but it tasted nice. The naan was not as ordered, as I ask for it without the butter on top, but I ate it and it was nice. Overall I would definitely return and can see why this place has got so many good reviews!

Karahi Express is in my opinion in the top two Indian restaurants in Slough along with Exotic Karahi. Karahi Express has a fantastic menu range and cook in an open kitchen. With a wide range of meat and vegetable dishes you can't go far wrong.

The food here is excellent - the staff are always very welcoming, the menu is brilliant as it points out all dishes with a "N" for those whjo suffer with a nut allergy - this is useful as my daughter has a nut allergy and she can see for helself what she can and cannot have.My personal favourite dish here is teh mixed grill - a little expensive but plenty of food for two people.

Recently ordered a takeaway after being told they serve great food, I wasn't disappointed, everything we ordered was delicious, tasty currys, onon bahji, sag aloo, naans and poppadoms, an Indian taste I have never experienced before, would definitely recommend.

I've always loved the canteen style simplicity and great food at Lahore just off Commercial Road in the East End. The Karahi Express provides a similar dinning experience; no airs and graces just loads of great tasting, authentic Indian food but unlike Lahore, it's licensed. We were the only Europeans eating in a full restaurant, late on a saturday evening. Starters were a huge, shared plate of tandoori specialities - the lamb chops and tikka were excellent. We also had some mutta aloo, rice, sag and a prawn dish, all of which were tasty and very spicy. All in all, the Karahi Express is a great alternative to a traditional curry house and provides good quality food and excellent value for money.

The restaurant doesn't go for the typical traditional Indian restaurant look, but instead has a fairly contemporary interior. The most noticeable feature is the kitchen, which is located within a glass box area at the front of the restaurant as you enter, so that you can see everything being cooked.I've never been here to eat in, but regularly get takeaway. Service can seem a bit hectic, as you have to order by the till, which seems to be one of the busiest areas of the restaurant. All the food I have had from there is great & they are happy to alter how spicy it is to suit your taste, as everything is cooked from fresh there. Not the cheapest place for takeaway, but definitely one of the best.Whenever I've visited on a Friday night, there never seems to be a spare seat, so make sure you book if you are planning on going when its likely to be a busy time.

We went here on a Saturday night and I am so glad we booked. By eight thirty, people were waiting outside to come in. It was packed and the noise level can get high with parties, lads night out and family occasions. We ordered two starters three mains and pudding for about £15 each and the food`s reputation is justified.Try the lamb saag. The waiters, who were very busy, were always charming. Just don`t come here for a catch -up chat or romantic evening!

Came here while staying overnight in the area and chose Karahi express as we were up for a curry, and the reviews err pretty good.We weren't disappointed. You know a curry is going to taste great when you can see the chefs hard at work at the front of the restaurant, the place is full and we're basically the only non-Indian guests!Cousins we were with loved and worked in India a while ago, and said it felt very authentic - Bollywood music blaring from the TVs, and Indian families all out together, from youngsters to grandparents.Recommend if you're in the area...

We had to try Karahi after all the good reviews here and it seems it be always busy. The restaurant was very crowded and tables were almost all connected (tight space). It was so loud and then the TVs were also playing Indian songs that we could barely hear each other talk (sitting across the table). For starter we ordered Reshmi Kabobs definitely worth it, but chicken tikka was cooked to the perfection however no taste. Mango lassi Jug was £10 and you can tell it's not made fresh (it tasted like they bought a £2 mango lassi from the market). Oh ya even though the name is Karahi Express, they serve the tiny little cute karahi which is hardly enough for one person and priced at around £9-£10. Overall poor seating set up and a little less for the buck.

I'd read about this place on here and based on the reviews me and a work colleague made our way over. He being a connoisseur of good Indian food It's a modern style restaurant with long bench seating arrangement and an open kitchen. The staff are really friendly and have great knowledge of their menu, you can take your own booze and don't pay a corkage. The starters are huge possibly bigger than the mains. I had the lamb Karahi for main course the meat was amazing and had so much flavour. For poopadoms starters and mains for 2 of us it came to £30 an absolute bargain Can't wait to come back here

staff are excellent and the quick service. The mixed grill starter is fantastic value, I would say it is enough for four. The main courses are large portions, and by bringing your own alcoholic drinks you save on the bar prices.

I've been here twice now and the food is fantastic. Starters of our group were all good and quite large. We were thinking we maybe didn't need a main course after we had them. The surroundings are more cafe than restaurant but the food more than makes up for that. Service was good in terms of being friendly and informative but a bit slow because the place was packed. I guess that's a sign of a good place. I will return.

Eat here on regular basis and at Sister restaurant in Hounslow West.In some aspects this is better as the HW is not dated and needs to be freshened up and extended. The draught beer is good, cold and fresh. The mixed grill is super and great value for money. The chicken and lamb curries , like home made. Veggies do well with the fish and the chilli paneer. The roti is preferred over the Nan's . Service again outstanding......Hounslow watch out

Food great and all cooked in view of customers. Bring your own drinks helps to keep costs down although draft beer reasonably priced. Biggest problem is getting a table. Even after booking for small group we were faced with long wait but guess worth the wait. More canteen style than gourmet dining but nevertheless look forward to more visits soon. Can get very noisy for older guests.

The butter chicken used prices of tandoori chicken which shouldn’t happen. The texture was very runny, the taste was overwhelmed by sweetness of coconut. Not sure why this combination was used on a staple curry. The garlic naan was good however the same can’t be said for the plain naan. This was my first order after the high reviews but it will be my last.

Decided to visit GT again as I really wanted a good curry and we are in the area. It’s Sunday evening and it pretty empty, so plenty of seating choices. Lamb chops were very good as starters and the chicken curry the waiter recommended was bang on . The Nan’s were very good not too thick or thin and perfect size plus they tasted great. Overall very enjoyable meal and no doubt will return in next in area
