I’m just in Maidstone eating a doner kebab with delicious fresh salad and rice. There’s almost enough for two and only £8.50. I’m VERY impressed with the food which is a rarity for me!

Ordered Chicken doner first time today. One of the best in life for really good price 👌 You can also choose seat in or take a way 👍 Definitely will back !

I never been asked by an owner not to visit this place again. Why? Because their garbage house special had human hair in it and I asked for a replacement then didn’t pay the 10% service charge.. How dare you beg an unhappy customer for a service charge with your hairy food and unfriendly staff??. I stopped at Maidstone on the way back to London and came to this place by unfortunate incident, which will never ever happen again.

Maybe the most underrated Turkish restaurant in Kent. Good place for families and big tasty portions with good prices. Definitely recommend.

Great place, I go with my kids every Sunday as food is healthy, tasty and great value

Picked up a mixed doner and chips last night and usually this place has been good the other 2 times I tried it but this time I ended up with horrific pains and have spent the last 2 hours awake being sick this morning. Really really bad will not go back again after this experience.

I been there other day with my son ,I ask drink they don't give you a glass just from bottle, salt on the table was block cant get any,they give us 2 dip in plastic takeaway box,waitress never come check on us make sure everything OK,owner don't wear gloves or hut,touch everything, lady chef same no gloves or hut her blonde hair down ,she pop in shop come back with bag didn't wash hand straight away cut doner kebab,behind counter, they give us bread left over previous table,was horrible, I never go there again disgusting

First time here, definitely not our last. Clean and a friendly welcome, we had a hot mixed share starter and a large Lamb Shish each for mains. Both beautifully displayed, lovely and hot, beautifully presented, with a very good salad and bread on the side too. Nothing to dislike, it was a perfect meal, with a glass of wine before heading to Hazlitt for a show. Definitely come back again, lovely staff, food was amazing, freshly cooked and good value! I come here semi regularly when I'm in Maidstone. I usually get the large chicken doner. Plenty of meat with a good portion of salad, two kinds of rice, and a basket of warm bread with two sauces: yoghurt and chilli. All for 10 quid. Delicious and good value for money. If only they'd add a little kick to their chilli sauce, or at least offer a mild or spicy option. Surely, part of the thrill of a good doner (and make no mistake, this is a good doner) is the heat of the chilli sauce. That aside, highly recommended.

I bought food from there 2 days ago and there were chicken feathers in the food, or I don't know, they were huge, I was already sick to my stomach when I saw them.

Came in one evening for a sit down dinner. The service was okay, the staff were friendly. The prices were reasonable and there was a good selection on the menu. The food didn't have much flavour unfortunately. There was plenty of it though.

This has got to be one of the most underated Turkish Restuarants I Know. We ofter visit Turkish restuarants in both the UK and Turkey and have eaten in some really nice places. When you see this from the outside, you wonder what it might be like, as the front is average, however the interior has had serious money spent on it and yet the serice and overall view is of an upmarket cafe. Thats where the average view ends, the food is amazing and i can honestly say, better than most we have had in Turkey. Check out the platters for 2 ,3 or 4 people. We use to have the platter for 2, which consisted of Lamb Donner, Chicken Donner, Chicken Shish, Lamb Shish, Lamb Ribs and Chicken Wings, along with a big salad, bulgar wheat & rice and bread, sauces. For around 25.00, far too much to eat, so lots taken home for a late night snack.You Must Try It, like us, you will love it. Happy Easting xx

Had a lovely meal here CANT fault anything only advice I’d give was if you g children are eating rude or bulgar wheat to give a spoon and bowl. The pitta bread was warm the garlic dip and spicy tomato dip was lovely.

We came across this restaurant in the High Street after another restaurant was full. WOW I am glad it was. This restaurant does look much from the outside, but the food was fantastic and GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY. We had Hot Meze for 2 and The House Special for Main. After the Meze Starter, we were quite full, and then we ended up taking away a doggy bag but not for the dog. All the food, especially the meat, was really tasty even the salad had a lovely dressing and fresh.

Shared a platter & a meal. Plenty of meat choices, well seasoned, salads & dressings. Bread delightful!! Extensive choices on the food menu & a licensed bar with beers, soft drinks & cocktails! Staff friendly, relaxed and attentive. Casual cafe style - so worth a visit!

Hi my first time here ordered sharing platter for 2 over phone went there 20mins later walked in food ready to go easy to park across rd I have had a lot of Turkish food over the years this is by far the best ive had no chewy bits just melt in the mouth meat every thing was nice this will be my once a week Turkish Restaurant from now on thx Jim W.

First time here, really fancied a Greek salad, was served immediately very friendly staff. Salad was fantastic lot's of feta cheese,had chips as well as not sure of size of salad. They were good as well. Toilet was immaculate as was all of restaurant and cooking areas. Can't wait to go back

The staff are rude and they behaved me in rude way , they did the same with my friend ! When i talked to manager she told me you can leave now !Its riduculous ! I will never recommend that restaurant to any body !

Been to restaurant before and food was lovely so decided to go for a collection takeaway. Was highly disappointing, got 9 squares of chicken, 3 cremated lamb ribs and 4 boxes of salad for £39!! Phoned to talk to the manager as I wanted a refund and he was very rude and hung up on me. Bad customer service *AVOID*

It’s a great place just to try it once because it has good quality food. However, the service wasn’t the best because it took 1 hour just to get the food and i didn’t get my drink and I asked if I can get one and it took 10 minutes to get it. I want particularly happy with that

The meal for three was exactly the same as the meal for two. Same portion size…. I’ve been to Kankilar twice now, the first midweek and I would of scored it 4 out of 5. The second visit this Saturday I’m struggling to not score a 1. We had the meal for three which was actually less than previously had for the meal for two. Same meat but less bread. On asking about the bread situation we was bought some more. The waitresses also forgot to bring the salad until asked and the additional fries. It wasn’t that busy but service seemed to struggle. The food tastes good but very hard not to be critical as it feels like we would of got exactly the same in the meal for two than we did for three. All in all, I don’t think I’ll be coming back here. It’s convenient but feel a bit ripped off.

Bought the house mix special x2 and a donor plus chicken thought when I open it there's a lot of meat here. Only to find over a inch thick full of rice which I didn't want. Why Don't they ask if you want rice. As they do ask about you wanting salad and sauce. Paid £46 not even worth £20 tops. So watch out for more rice than meat.

First time to this restaurant. Food was amazing! Great portion sizes. Super friendly staff, nothing was to much bother. Will definitely be returning and spreading the word.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious meal with tasty meat, a fresh dressed salad, perfectly cooked rice and couscous together with an appetising creamy garlic and a tomato chilli sauce and plenty of home baked Turkish bread. The restaurant is beautifully styled and fitted and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Our waitress was helpful and attentive and together with very reasonable pricing made this a superb experience.

The people that gave this less than 4 just for service have done this place a disservice and the bots bringing the score down is ridiculous. This restaurant is exactly what Maidstone needed and has fantastic prices to match. Food is fabulous quality, prices are amazing and there is no better restaurant in Maidstone or for miles around. Don't bother going opposite as the prices here are better and far superior quality!

Give these lovely people a try! Tried this place after seeing the big German chain across the street and we wanted to support local. The best decision of our year so far. Lovely and attentive staff and a very nice atmosphere. Food? Oh my god the food. Took a little while to arrive but worth every second. We had the platter for two people. Enough for four people and every mouthful was fantastic. Beyond what we had expected and a massive recommendation for all to try.

Me and wife and daughter went for a meal here together not knowing how the food would be and enjoying how beautiful and clean it the restaurant looks. Anyway back to the food we both had lamb and was cook over Charcoal Barbecues, when come to us it look amazing and tasted even more better then you could think . So if you like to try new thing I promise the food won't let you down at all.

Decided to try this place for my birthday meal, once we got home I said to my family we will have to go out for another birthday meal and try to forget about this one. Their was only one other table taken, so good knows what it would be like if it was busy. Service was slow and staff were untrained. Lots of dishes were just crossed off from the menu, when I asked they said they couldn’t get a chef. The starters came up in different stages. We had to get up from our table and walk over, as we couldn’t get the staffs attention to ask for bread that was meant to come with the starters. The salad came up once we had basically finished our starters. The mains then came up, My wife wasn’t hungry at this stage, (wise choice) My mixed special was completely dry. The shawarma lamb and chicken were both dry and crispy. The Chicken, lamb and kofte were also over cooked and dry. I told the waitress and she said people normally say it’s undercooked!! Avoid this place

We had a take away few weeks ago. The food was really bad. So much fat! There are so much better places in Maidstone to get Turkish food!

Staff are rude and unhelpful, paid for an order and got not even half of it, when I rang to see where the rest of the order was they offered me to go and collect it the next day? Rude to both me and my partner and the food looked awful, wouldn’t even give it to my dog

After our visit I was happy to come back from Slough to eat again. This time very disappointed as the restaurant was very quiet only 3 tables at the time to wait on. Food came out slow what we thought we ordered was something else. When owner has on menu chicken fillet burger,where fillet was crossed out you would assume it was a chicken piece. That did not happen no mayo no salad they just put chicken in between dry bun. My son did not eat the meal after speaking to waitress they still charged for bad meal. My sisters moussaka took so long aswell. PLEASE OWNERS READ REVIEWS as the customers are very important. Your service has to improve.

This place is a real hidden gem! Me and my girlfriend were searching for somewhere in town to eat and stumbled across here and we are so glad we did. All the food we had was absolutely delicious and tasted really authentic, the Turkish tea was also a really nice touch at the end. Daisy was brilliant helping us go through the menu and making sure we were looked after. Honestly can't fault this place. Great value for money, we will definitely be back!

Utterly revolting food. Had takeaway and didn't get chips I ordered with donor meat. They just chucked in some bread. The meat itself was what could described as mulch. Congealed bits of fat deposits which suggest this cooked earlier and just reheated. I had 3 bites and threw the rest of rubbish in the bin. Avoid, shame I have to even give 1 star. Zero for me

Very poor service, never received items that were part of a meal and had to ask for items that we’d ordered. Staff were unhelpful, Won’t be going back and would not recommend either.

Simply amazing food! Looked and tasted delightful!!!!! Staff were soo friendly and so polite. The food came on time also. and the portions were great!!!! My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it 😍😍😍😍 The kids can't wait to go back. The ambience was sooooo good. I loved every single minute I spent there. And the complementary black tea was absolutely delish!!!!! I would definitely be back soon with friends!

I will not be returning here. I went with my family to this restaurant, excited as it was a new place. Only to be extremely disappointed with everything. Everything came out in dribs and drabs, the food was not hot, things were missing from our order. They got two orders wrong, and one member of staff did not even know what it was she was bringing to the table. It is a beautiful looking place but a massive let down.

Was really disappointed. Had takeaway from there earlier this week and chips were well over cooked. Went for a meal this evening and was really disappointed. Food was just about right bit have had better, drinks room temperature. Asked for a doggy bag to take food home but was waiting so long just left the food.

Even a bar, try the Turkish beer, very nice!. I'm so happy and second visit after its been open only, 5days. The jumbo plater very good. They do a large take away plater too. The mixed meat with chips, around 9.50.wil feed twoadults two children. Chilli sauce unbelievable too. Have to mention master kebab is medway, this place EVEN better.. Thank you again!!!!
