Very good food, best I've found in Maidstone since the Noble House shut down. If you collect its normally ready in 20 mins, from reading the other reviews I would definitely opt to collect and not risk the slow delivery

Awful service. Ordered our food at 6:30 and it’s only just arrived at 10 past 9. Stupid. I appreciate it’s busy on Saturdays but if you cannot keep up with orders the. you shouldn’t keep accepting orders that is just greed and not fair to your customers Rung about 4 times asking for an update and was fobbed off with incorrect times each time I called, wasn’t even offered anything in apology for our excessive wait. I really do believe I am due a refund as this completely spoilt out entire night. Can someone contact me please.

I had given up on chinese in Maidstone then discovered this wee gem Magic Wok up the road from me and it is the best Chinese in Maidstone by a longshot. Satay sauce is lush and has actual peanuts in it! Even simple dishes like a plain chowmein are done brilliantly and full of flavour and you can taste the "wok hay" in dishes. Highly recommend the Singapore noodles or fried rice, again just perfect and actually has a kick to it! The food is never bland or boring and if you make a special requests like swap sweet and sour sauce for curry they will actually do it! Ordered 4 times from here now and we've never had any problems.. the food is excellent, generous portions (the only time I eat breakfast is when I have leftovers) staff and delivery drivers are friendly 10/10... We will be back 😋

Absolutely shambolic, waited over 2 hours for over £100 worth of food.on a Thursday night. We were told 50 mins so phoned up after an hour and 10 to be told it had left and wouldn't be long. Turns out the driver had the incorrect address but didn't think to phone us until they had driven around maidstone for 40 mins. 1st and last time I'm afraid.

Food used to be great but recently got a spring roll that had been fried so many times that the outside was black and the inside was really slimy House special noodles were nice but the gravy was full of msg Fault I would try again placed my order on Saturday night at 1700 and they said it would be delivered at 1800 then 20 mins later the phone rang and they said they were to busy to deliver so they cancelled my order ,so I've found a new takeaway so they have lost me as a customer. Tried again ,co pung prawns chewy pancake roll had so much pepper in it could not taste anything else and the house special chowmain had no meat and frozen please and loads of msg . Oh magic wok your food used to be the best .such a shame

Food took 2 and a half hours to come after site saying 75 mins max which is already quite long, staff at resteraunt refused to talk on the phone to try and resolve where the food was, ended up ordering from somewhere else. Absolute waste of time and money

Ordered food early got a 75 minute delivery max time 130 minute still not arrived tried phoning on given number and got put on hold for 14 minutes ended up putting phone down and ordering more food from elsewhere

Delivery takes forever, such a shame. Over 2.5 hrs so far.. has happened everytime we have ordered. Arrived now and items missing.

The food very good (I recommend the beef with onions and BBQ ribs), from what I understand there is the problem with long delivery time so I collected, and there I was received warmly and professionally. I placed my order online from their website, I can say it is very well thought out and easy to use.

Not had a Chinese takeaway since before COVID so I was really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The food arrived one hour and 10 after it was ordered and we only live near by. The prawn crackers were rubbery, the spring rolls were floppy. Chicken satay was dry, chow mein was bland, the egg fried rice used the wrong rice and there was barely any egg. Lemon chicken was nice, chicken and sweet corn soup excellent. Overall, not ordering from here again unfortunately. So hard to get a good Chinese these days.

These idiots think it's acceptable to have people waiting 3hrs for delivery then get rude when you call and ask why. Foods good but customer service is terrible. Stop taking orders if you can't provide what you promise because your "so busy"!

Absolutely awful!! Ordered at 9.05 and it arrived at 10.20pm! Was cold and wasn’t freshly cooked, meat was dry and prawn balls , the batter was hard. Total waste of £32! If takeaways can’t meet the demand don’t take the order! Very disappointed

I awake from my sleep probably 12/1am in the morning and I can’t stop thinking about you’re satay sauce that I have sitting downstairs, after tossing turning and getting nightmares due to lack of me eating that sauce, here I am at 3.24 eating that sauce! and now I will go back to sleep a happy man.. thank you

Crispy shredded beef had a really bad taste. Chips over cooked. Normally order from here no problems but tonight just wasn't great.

I rarely leave reviews but this was the best Chinese I’ve ever had! Lovely lady on the phone, lovely delivery guy and easy to order online. Food arrived on time and actually hot! The meat in the rice and noodles was tender and prawn toast nice and thick. 10/10 😊

The lady who answers the phone is really polite and professional. So that is a massive great start. The food comes faster then supplied estimated delivery time, depending how busy they are. We have now waited 2.5 hours for our food. Called afted 90 minutes to be told it was with the driver. After 45 minutes, called again to be told that the driver took it back as something had leaked. Understand it is a Saturday. Order was placed at 18.30. It is now 9pm and still no food. When calling for the 2nd time the phone was engaged for best part of 10 minutes. I wouldnt be surprised if they have a lot of other angry customers this evening This is the 3rd time ordering as food the last 2 times has been really good Wont be ordering again.

Food is best in Maidstone , staff are lovely, trouble is if you want to eat before midnight you better order around lunchtime for delivery. Highly advise collecting!

Constantly missing items when food is delivered yet we have given them chance and chance again as they are our local Chinese. Our order tonight was missing the sauce and we were told it would be 45 minute wait for it to be delivered, so the food would be cold by the time this would be delivered. The receptionist Evie was extremely unhelpful. Terrible customer service.

Had to throw the salt and pepper squid away as too hard and prawns too and stuffed crab claws like rubber not the best wasted £20 out of a £68 order won’t be re ordering

The food tasted fantastic but we were told it would be 45 mins. After an hour I called them and they said it would be 10 more minutes then it didn’t show up for another half hour. If you’re in no rush the food tasted great, but I wouldn’t expect quick delivery

Always prompt delivery...between 10mins over suspected time which is good Satay chicken and ribs slightly overcooked but food in general is very good

Best Chinese in Maidstone atm. Since the closure of wok Inn, high st 2017, all of the Chinese,s are awful, tasteless rubbish! This by far the tastiest and value for money. Nice girls on reception, only take cash,but most of them do... most orders are ready in 15 /20 minutes parking is a bit tight as on a corner double yellow lines . But we'll worth the drive across town, thanks ben

I have previously given this place a 5* because the food is delicious. Sadly recent experience have been seriously affected by very poor service. Forgot part of our order last time after a long wait. Then tonight 2 hour and 20 minute wait (after being quoted 50minites) ordered 6.45 arrived 9.05…no discount on the food and even the driver was embarrassed and unsure why it took so long. It’s a Thursday night so hardly prime takaway night! Will sadly been seeking a new Chinese I think in future as beginning to feel let down by this place!

Ordered twice now, although food was really nice; it was nearly an hour late the first time. Gave them a second go and after waiting an hour and half, with still no food, called them and they informed us they had accidentally wiped our order and wasn’t able to process it but made no attempt to contact us to sort out. So all in all, won’t order again as not worth this disappointment!

I am still trying to find a good Chinese in Maidstone. I tried this based on the rating and reviews but the food was not fresh. The salt and pepper spare ribs tasted as though the meat had slightly gone off. The chicken balls tasted like the oil had been used to fry prawns, thereby ruining the taste. My chicken fried rice and beef in black beans sauce seemed good, but overall, I was disappointed!

We have been ordering here for a few years now. We are always happy with the quality and the speed of service. We do tend to order and collect but have used the delivery service and is very speedy.

Best in town. Consistently good food. Satay sauce is amazing, especially when compared with competitors.

Great food. Time and time again

Food is good, but service is far past poor! Order took over 2 hours to arrive (ordered at 18:50) (arrived 20:58) but after the first hour and half I rung up and was told the driver had left (I live less then 5 mins away) it didn’t turn up for another half hour, which meant the lady on the phone lied, if you are running late then be honest rather then flog people off with lies, not to mention we was given “freebies” because they knew they was at fault but then seem to of forgotten an item that was actually ordered, so unorganised and unprofessional service it’s almost laughable!

Food is good, better than when it was Ming's (which closed a few years ago). Can order online or by phone, can pay by card if ordering online, first time online orders get a 10% discount.

This is my 3rd order in 1.5 weeks. I can honestly say this is the best chinese in Maidstone. Restaurant quality food, and I am very fussy with the quality of take out, or eating out. Really not tasted such good quality in many years. Hence the 3 orders in such a short space of time. Order now, you won't be disappointed, but possibly addicted!

First time trying magic wok as I’ve just moved to the area. The rice and spring rolls were nice but my chilli beef was literally just like greasy strips of over cooked batter, no trace of beef whatsoever, really quite disappointed as that’s my go-to order. Won’t be orderingagain.
