Fancy a hot Ramen, the Tonkotsu X is really delicious, full of flavor and hearty. Don’t forget to add the Tamago :) Plan to come early, there is a queue. The decoration is pretty and cozy.

Small restaurant. Lunch menu is good value for money with free green tea. Ramen was firm and reminds me of Ichiran ramen. But the pork broth is not as thick and flavourful as I would like it to be. Pork was fatty and not that tender also. Egg was flavourful but quite expensive at 2.65£.

A popular tonkotsu ramen restaurant in London. Kyushu pork bones with a high level of perfection reminiscent of Ippudo. I ordered Tonkotsu X (16.25€), but I felt the portion was a little small. If I had to say anything strongly, I would have liked a little more individuality. Still, I think it's definitely at a high level among Japanese ramen restaurants overseas. The reviews that say it took a long time to be served did not apply to me, and it came out within 5 minutes of ordering! I was a little worried because I was in a hurry, but there was no need to worry.

Tried out their new-ish menu! The red-texted Cha-Mori Ramen caught my eyes. It's not spicy by default but you can ask for chilli oil or one of their spicy paste extra. The broth was sweet, with certain hints of tanginess. The chashu pork slices and the pulled pork were great. I've always liked the firm noodles here, too. Overall an awesome ramen. Ordered Agedashi Tofu as well. I think it's okay. The crust could have been crispier. Not as much of a highlight as the ramen. This Kanada-ya is small, but very central. It's within a 5-minute walk of Leicester Square / China Town / Piccadilly Circus. Go check out those areas after (or before) your meal.

Went for ramen on a weekend. Service and seating was ok. Paid £17 for a spicy ramen (normal portion, not XXL) and an extra egg. Environment: OK Service: There is only one waiter and it feels quite busy. Dishes: Worst ramen I've had so far in London, the portions were tiny and the soup wasn't tonkotsu at all. I ordered spicy ramen but got the hot sauce separately. The key is that it doesn’t look like hot sauce at all, which is very confusing... I ordered black garlic oil, but it really wasn’t black garlic oil. It was obviously sesame paste. It was so unpalatable and disgusting that it ruined the bowl of noodles when I poured it into the ramen. Ordered a confusing tasteless tofu, a waste of money. The only thing you can eat is mushroom tempura. The main reason is that the price is too expensive and the price-performance ratio is too low. It’s really hard for two people to eat 60 pounds of ramen for me. Where do these good reviews come from? I can only think that this is just a shop that deceives white people who have never tasted authentic ramen.

The ramen is definitely tasty — probably one of the best in London. But there are some issues with the restaurant itself that cause a bitter aftertaste. For example, you have to pay extra to have a single egg in your ramen. Another issue is that it doesn’t have the right amount of noodles. We had to order extra because the proportion between broth and noodle wasn’t right. It’s a shame such great ramen just milk cash from costumers like this.

I visited Kanada-Ya restaurant in Panton Street on 5th March to enjoy a Ramen with my wife. We went in and a lady took our order and served the food. Once we finished, I asked for the bill from another girl. She brought the bill and when I checked it, I've been charged extra for an egg for the Ramen, which we didn't order. Then I informed the lady who brought us the bill to remove the charge for the egg. Then she went inside and came along with the lady who took our order. Then I explained her that we didn't order for the egg and waive off the charge, she started arguing with me that one person has ordered the egg. But, I'm sure we didn't order for any egg and she treated us in an arrogant way. This is a very bad behaviour of staff towards customer. Really disappointed about the service received from that lady. I have felt that she was in charge of the restaurant from the way she behaved. Very bad managerial attitudes.

I’ve been to other branches of Kanada-Ya many times so I know the ramen is always going to be good. However, this was the first time visiting this particular branch and the experience was disappointing. We were sat in a back corner on the basement floor near the toilets and feel as if we were forgotten about. Had to try hard to get the waiter’s attention to order in the first place while other tables who got there after us were able to order and get their food quicker. Had to remind her to get us water. The food was great but we both orders umeshu and one glass was filled close to the top while the other was just over halfway. Even after the restaurant got a lot quieter and we were only one of two tables seated downstairs, the service was not attentive and we had to remind the server about the bill more than once. I won’t be in a hurry to return to this branch. The one on St. Giles street is far better. It is smaller and feels more crammed but service is more attentive.

Ramen was nothing to write home about, pretty mediocre; the egg was amazing though, I actually recommend it quite a lot. Besides the annoying, barely unsupervised kids who were constantly being annoying without anyone - neither staff nor parents - stopping them, the worst part was definitely the guilt-tripping the customers into trying to pay over 7 GBP for an underserved "service charge". Overall, really wouldn't recommend the experience. The staff wasn't impolite or anything, and as I said, the egg was amazing, so I'd say three stars is more than enough.

Can't believe I forgot to leave a review for my visit here. Staff were great, food was excellent. One crucial point I noted which I think every restaurant should adopt is how the bill is paid at Kanada-Ya. For those who have never been, you can scan a QR code on the table and it will bring up the bill for the whole table, itemised. Everyone can select the items they ate from the bill and pay seperately for them, allowing everyone to clear their own bill for the table. By far one of the best ways I have seen table tabs managed in a restaurant and I think everyone should be doing this. I was really impressed by that. I was impressed by the food too but I lived for a short while in Kobe, so good ramen is good ramen, this wasn't exceptional but that is not a bad thing, it does not need to be exceptional when the average expected standard is already very high, it only needs to meet that standard which it did. But the bill payment method is something that will stick with me I've never seen that anywhere else. This visit I believe was evening November 3rd 2023. Don't remember the time but probably after 6pm. Also one of the Japanese chefs was greeting people at the door which was lovely.

Food: It's a serviceable bowl of ramen, it's not great but it's not terrible either. We also ordered the Gyoza and the Fried chicken and the fried chicken had a nice mayo to it. Service: it was fine, but I do wish they made the initiative to ask us what kind of noodles we wanted. Atmosphere: we went on a Sunday afternoon and it was a bit quiet at 1400

We ordered two ramens and kara-age. Ramen was delicious 🍜but the quantity was less than in other ramen shops Also ramen was served without marinated eggs🫤

Best Ramen to date. Really authentic, friendly and quick service. Not fond of sharing booths but understand the culture and sentiment.

Good solid sushi, London prices. Wasn’t mind blowing, not sure why it is so hyped up, but solid choice if you aren’t looking to completely break the bank.

Tasty but tiny portions, the amount of rice is ridiculously small. Quite overpriced.

Stopped here with my daughter for a drink - we didn't have a reservation. The lift up to the 39th floor bar is amazing with stunning views - it goes up really fast and was really enjoyed. The bar itself is also stunning and the outdoor area fabulous. Inside the bar also has stunning views too and has a really good vibe. The 4 stars instead of 5 is for a service charge put on the cocktails that I didn't realise about at the time - I went to the bar, got the cocktails myself and then got a seat - then re looked at the cocktail menu and realise that a service charge of £10.10 had been added on.

Really the best maki in a long time, rice still warm and perfect amount of fish to accompany the rice. Udon Dashi also flawless. Gladly again at any time.
