What a find! Wonderful place, (delighted they could seat a party of 6 without a reservation on a Sunday). Best ramen I’ve ever tasted (and I’ve lived in Asia). Lovely people and friendly, warm atmosphere too. Thank you!🤩

Outstanding ramen, one of the best I’ve ever had!!

We had lunch at 4 this afternoon. A large part of the dishes indicated on the menu were missing: 3 dishes not served... too bad, they were the ones we wanted. We were installed in the basement, 2 steps from the toilets, not pleasant at all. My husband and I had pork ramen and felt bad all afternoon. The pork tasted bad. The chicken gyozas were very fatty. Severe stomach ache and feeling like vomiting for the rest of the day. . Drinking water served by the glass. To ask again every time you are thirsty... not ideal. I wouldn't come back. Bad experience

Outstanding ramen. Definitely the best in London. The pork bone broth is absolutely delicious. Fantastic karaage too. Service was quick and incredibly good. Very highly recommended

Kanadaya is one of the best ramen shops in London. We usually go to the Angel branch as it's a bit more quiet, but we tried out the Piccadilly one this time. After several years of not ordering it I got the abura-soba, still a 10/10 dish! Whilst my partner got gekigara ramen, also a 10/10 (if you like spicy 🌶)! Had a lovely chat with the manager and head chef whilst on their break. It's a great spot!!

Was longing to eat Kanada-Ya again since my visit in Barcelona. With high expectations this shop let me down :/ soup was not as creamy and rich as Barcelona. Chashu was overcooked and dry compared to super juicy in barcelona. Truffle was not as intended as in barcelona. Still a good ramen just disappointed to the standards of Kanada-Ya quality.

Best bowl of ramen! The booth was delicious and tasty. Noodles has a bounce to it. The deco is clean, fun and simple. Very enjoyable experience. My boyfriend loves this place. Service a bit slow.

I’ve been to other branches of Kanada-Ya many times so I know the ramen is always going to be good. However, this was the first time visiting this particular branch and the experience was disappointing. We were sat in a back corner on the basement floor near the toilets and feel as if we were forgotten about. Had to try hard to get the waiter’s attention to order in the first place while other tables who got there after us were able to order and get their food quicker. Had to remind her to get us water. The food was great but we both orders umeshu and one glass was filled close to the top while the other was just over halfway. Even after the restaurant got a lot quieter and we were only one of two tables seated downstairs, the service was not attentive and we had to remind the server about the bill more than once. I won’t be in a hurry to return to this branch. The one on St. Giles street is far better. It is smaller and feels more crammed but service is more attentive.

Ordered Tonkotsu X and Karaage with yuzu kosho mayo and lime. Foods were delicious as before. Ramens were not too salty, with layers in the flavor :) The space facing the wall was a bit narrow , and the atmosphere was ok. The Price considering the quality of food we had there was reasonable, especially in the central London.

Ramen was nothing to write home about, pretty mediocre; the egg was amazing though, I actually recommend it quite a lot. Besides the annoying, barely unsupervised kids who were constantly being annoying without anyone - neither staff nor parents - stopping them, the worst part was definitely the guilt-tripping the customers into trying to pay over 7 GBP for an underserved "service charge". Overall, really wouldn't recommend the experience. The staff wasn't impolite or anything, and as I said, the egg was amazing, so I'd say three stars is more than enough.

The broth has changed to the worse, much much worse. Tasted very weak and lack of favours compare to before. It like it’s been watered down. Feel like that have increased their price but compromised the quality at the same time. Kanada ya has been one of my top ramen go to place since they opened in London, Mr Kanada should try their broth and see how they are ruining his name and reputation over here in UK.

Food: It's a serviceable bowl of ramen, it's not great but it's not terrible either. We also ordered the Gyoza and the Fried chicken and the fried chicken had a nice mayo to it. Service: it was fine, but I do wish they made the initiative to ask us what kind of noodles we wanted. Atmosphere: we went on a Sunday afternoon and it was a bit quiet at 1400

Can't believe I forgot to leave a review for my visit here. Staff were great, food was excellent. One crucial point I noted which I think every restaurant should adopt is how the bill is paid at Kanada-Ya. For those who have never been, you can scan a QR code on the table and it will bring up the bill for the whole table, itemised. Everyone can select the items they ate from the bill and pay seperately for them, allowing everyone to clear their own bill for the table. By far one of the best ways I have seen table tabs managed in a restaurant and I think everyone should be doing this. I was really impressed by that. I was impressed by the food too but I lived for a short while in Kobe, so good ramen is good ramen, this wasn't exceptional but that is not a bad thing, it does not need to be exceptional when the average expected standard is already very high, it only needs to meet that standard which it did. But the bill payment method is something that will stick with me I've never seen that anywhere else. This visit I believe was evening November 3rd 2023. Don't remember the time but probably after 6pm. Also one of the Japanese chefs was greeting people at the door which was lovely.

We ordered two ramens and kara-age. Ramen was delicious 🍜but the quantity was less than in other ramen shops Also ramen was served without marinated eggs🫤

Quite an authentic Japanese ramen. I tried truffle ramen. It is good.

All I'm saying is that I vomited for 36 hours later. Didn't have an appetite to eat anything for another 12 after that. Nobody else in my party of 4 got sick and nobody else ordered pork, so perhaps that was the culprit. But maybe it wasn't the Gekikara that I ordered that did me in; maybe it was the extra noodles I ordered (even though I ordered them hot and that doesn't seem like something that would stay long enough in a ramen restaurant kitchen to get old and sickening). Maybe their drinking water isn't clean and my stomach is more senstive than others' to whatever bugs might've been in it. I don't know. All I'm saying is that I spent all night and 12 hours of travel the next day back home to the US puking my soul out. But, otherwise, had a great time.

Difficult to enjoy lunch in the downstairs seating area. We were seated at the small table at the bottom of the stairs, where people walking past to the toilets bump into you and the next table is about 10cm away. There was an empty booth but we were told this was for staff. It remained unused during our visit. We rushed through our lunch, tired of being in what felt like everyone's way. On top of that the food, while not bad, really isn't anything special anymore, and I can now get the same or better closer to home. Once upon a time ramen options were limited, even in London, and places like this really stood out and could get away with queues in the street and indifferent staff. I'd suggest that this is no longer true.

Fantastic place for Ramen, Katsu Curry and their onigiris were great too. We’ll definitely recommend the restaurant to our friends and we will be back again. Great costumer service and the restaurant is small like a little cozy knock outside the busy streets of London, perfect to relax and enjoy the food.

We dropped in for a pre-movie meal and waited about 30 minutes for our two bowls of ramen to arrive. The ramen was tasty, but the service was unbelievably slow. Atmosphere was cramped, the table was a screw loose… only come here if you’ve got no other options.

Their Tonkotsu X ramen is delicious, and tastes legit, just like the ones I had in Japan.

Visiting from Canada so thoughts maybe a bit biased. Ramen avarages around 13-16 pounds per bowl. A bit on the expensive side for my ramen budget but seems like thats the average price in London. However, no egg was included for the price. Thats why 3/5 The ramen was okay maybe me being under the weather affected my taste buds. Noodles were the thin white one. Was okay. Didnt stand out. The soup wasnt hot enough. Overall the experience was not the authentic one I was looking for

Ordered Tonkotsu X ramen - came without the mustard pickles I asked for and only after I've asked I was told they've ran out. Small portion, broth quite bland, served in a chipped bowl. Needless to say I won't be going back.

👋🏼 Veggie review here I’ve been recommended this restaurant and I honestly found it quite average. The truffle salt edamame beans were delicious and not something you find often, and the jasmine tea lemonade was nice too. I went for the vegetarian ramen (Mushroom and Tofu) and it wasn’t flavoured enough for my liking. I liked the complimentary toppings but wouldn’t recommend the dish itself which is unfortunate as the only veggie ramen. (I do acknowledge Tonkotsu is their speciality, so others may disagree but I am a non-pork eater) The overall service was fine but could have been a little friendlier. (This restaurant isn’t halal and has 2 vegetarian mains)

This place is okay. The food was borderline average. The ramen was lacking and the wait for food was an hour. Servers were super nice and helpful but ultimately I was disappointed with how lame the food was considering the high reviews of the place. I probably wouldn't come back unless I couldn't find a go-to ramen spot.

Cam here for lunch on Saturday and was able to get a get table. Food was very nice and the service was good. Would have been 5 starts but they add ‘service charge’ to the bill which doesn’t go to staff so is quite misleading and something I’ve not seen elsewhere

Best ramen in london. Service charge doesn't go to the staff so make sure to ask them to take it off the bill and give them a tip! Great staff.

I had a wonderful time enjoying ramen at this restaurant! Noosh was incredibly kind, serving the food with a lovely smile and recommending their specialties.

Been there on a Tuesday for a quick meal and we were welcomed by Noosh taking our order and providing us a lots of suggestions and giving us a friendly vibe! Would recommend Kanada-Ya as they try to experiment and add specials on top of the more traditional choices of ramen!

more like Kanada-NO! I never thought ramen could have so little flavour! I got the veggie ramen and it was absolutely flavourless- I had to ask for soy sauce and chilli flakes (which they kept forgetting) to give it ANY flavour at all. They have few vegetarian options (no starter is veggie aside from the edamame). The servers, though nice, were very distracted and slow. The apricot sake was good, but that was it. Overpriced for what you’re getting

The Tea Stained Eggs are amazing. I loved the one that comes in the ramen so much that I ordered a second one! Do that from the beginning! The broth is excellent and I recommend adding a little spice. Will definitely be back.

Not wheelchair accessible. I was able to park buggy but bare in mind that there isn't much space for them. They have high chairs for babies though. Ramen was delicious. Quick service.

The location has a nice ambience. Make sure you are ready to wait a little while as it’s quite a busy establishment. Food was good but not spectacular in my opinion. Had the tonkotsu X. Food took about 30 minutes to get to our table.

Quite possibly THE single best ramen in London. Do expect to queue for a bit by the entrance if it's very busy, but it's well worth it.

We normally like this chain but I would avoid this branch. Place was relatively empty but the man that spoke to us was so rude that we immediately decided to have dinner elsewhere.

Les ramens sont bons mais cela reste très cher (20€ pour un simple ramen). Il faut rajouter l’oeuf pour un ramen classique. Les quantités ne sont pas là, peu de viande et de nouilles. Les serveurs ne sont pas particulièrement accueillants, dès que j’ai fini de manger on m’a débarrassée.

The food was good, but the seating arrangements were uncomfortable. However, I must mention that our waiter was exceptionally polite and friendly, which enhanced our overall experience. Despite some staff needing better manners, the service from our waiter was a standout

We went here on a Wednesday for dinner. The food and desert is delicious. The beer is boom.

The ramen was good but I have had better in London. They also did not have many vegetarian options which was disappointing

The fried chicken is a bit salty and the noodles are a bit overcooked. In general, it was not bad.

Had the Tonkatsu X and the broth is delicious. However it would have been better if they gave a larger serving of the pork chasu

The service was great, the atmosphere was quite nice and the food was good. I had the Tonkotsu X, and while it wasn’t the greatest ramen i’ve had in London, it was still quite nice. The broth wasn’t as flavourful as other places, and i feel the portion could have been bigger for the price I paid, however, it was still a nice experience! :)

Nice place and food is really great. However I really don’t appreciate the fact that we needed to pay 12,5% extra. I would rather tip if I wanted to, no need to push it tho.
