The incredibly delicious ramen. Fresh, beautifully served. Nice waiter. Fast service. Simply great. Highly recommended.

First off the service was excellent the servers were very helpful, polite and friendly. The food was filling and tasted pretty good, for the two of us we paid like sixty pounds for two main courses and two drinks so I felt that it was a little overpriced but probably this is just London prices now. This was my first time trying a ramen dish I ordered the egg (which cost almost three pounds more) with the dish but I felt that it didn't really add much flavour to the dish, probably better off adding more protein either pork or chicken next time. I had a pint of their Japanese larger, I found it quite flat but tasted decent enough. The only downside was the state of the toilets as they weren't that clean , might have just been because it was a busy Saturday night at the time that we visited as to why. Overall a decent place to eat.

Best Ramen I have had in London. And the kara age was delicious as well as the fried gyoza. Never disappointed, and keep going back whenever in London.

We had lunch here before a show at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. Tonkatsu ramen and pumpkin katsu curry were both freshly prepared and delicious, healthy-tasting and good value at £35 for 2 including service. The place is very small, with tiny tables and stools, but not uncomfortable. The music was a bit thumpy for us but in our 60s we were easily twice the age of the rest of the clientele! Service was quick and friendly. We’d definitely visit again.

Probably one of the best ramens in London. Portion sizes are slightly smaller than a typical Ramen place. Definitely recommend if you are looking for legit ramen in London

One star for food I’ve been to many Japanese restaurants in London but this is the one with the dirtiest toilets which made me concerned about the hygiene in kitchen too. Obvious understaffed - you have to wait for ages to be served. Inappropriate structure of tables - 2 round tables with ugly decoration placed in the middle but only serve 4 people and more people have to be placed in the narrow side tables

Average at best. All the flavour of course comes from the broth, so I’ve always found it hard to get behind the idea of a £16.95 bowl of noodles before adding extras.

Been here for lunch a few times as a take-away, Fantastic vegetarian Raman, highly recommend! Take-away Raman spoons would be great, I was only given chopsticks for Raman. The new salmon salad has a very oily dressing, I had to drain it when I got back to the office and filled almost half a cup of oil. Overall great Japanese food ! Recommend.

My first ramen in London!! I ordered Tokonsu X (without the nitamago) in pork and chicken bone broth, 5 slices of chashu pork belly, wood ear fungus and spring onion as the basic. I chose firm noodle and nori (seaweed) as complementary toppings. The bowl was hot to keep the soup warm which was very thoughtful. Although the soup was savoury with a good balance of both chicken and pork flavours, the portion was rather small for the value.The chicken karaage was so tender that it melted in my mouth.

Very good Tonkutsu ramen with a fairly thick and slightly salty broth. Good and fine noodles, the meat is in quantity and you can configure your ramen a little with toppings and extras. On the negative: I didn't particularly like the onigiri and the prices can be a little high. I still highly recommend it because the ramen alone is worth it.

I don’t understand why this restaurant is so overrated. The food wasn’t worth the price and didn’t taste good. The staff were unfriendly, and apart from the Japanese-style interior, there wasn’t much to like.

Had our dinner here at new year eve. Waiting time is about 15 minutes which is okay. We ordered truffle ramen & cha siu ramen, both are tasty! It would be better if the truffle taste can be stronger. The karaage chicken is yummy too!

I read the reviews and went out to eat with my friends, full of excitement. I don't know where the admiration comes from. £145 and none of us ate our ramen. The only thing is their beer is ok.

Incredibly disappointing how much they raised the prices. A place that used to be an oasis of good food, with a great quality and prices has turned into a bad one in all of the above. And even when you pay 16£ for a ramen, it’s a really small portion.

Soup, noodles, toppings, everything feels expensive even at 5 pounds. Appearance and taste are two different things.

Small space with a lot of good food! Stumble upon this ramen today, and we have no ravp, but the wait wasn't too bad. Ita about 15 min. The food came out so fast and pretty accurate with what we ordered. I'm definitely not disappointed.

Very nice waiter, I had to queue a little but the waiter guy was very nice to me and helpful! He even told me (us) to wait inside because it was raining. The tonkotsu ramen was amazing WITH the eggs! Love it! Definitely would come back. I recommend.

I lived in Japan for several years and had a lot of delicious ramen when I was there. The ramen at Kanada-Ya is definitely comparable. I first visited on the recommendation of a Japanese friend and I am now a regular customer. My personal favourites out of the ramen are the Tonkotsu X and the Gekikara. Both have delicious broth and taste very authentic. The Gekikara is very spicy and so I would recommend having the Spicy Yuzu or Tonkotsu X if you do not like your ramen very hot. I also recommend having the Hanjuku egg as an extra. The small plates are very good, especially the Karaage and Pork Gyoza and I can never resist having a dessert and especially recommend the Mille Crêpe and Melting Matcha Fondant. Despite being very busy each time I have visited, the service is also very good with the staff being attentive and helpful without being intrusive. I was particularly impressed that the first time I visited, they found me a table which accomodated my needs. Personally, I really like the atmosphere, as it is very much like a ramen restaurant in Japan with no frills and minimal furnishing. However, it is something to bear in mind if you prefer something more sophisticated and/or for a leisurely meal. I have tried other ramen restaurants in London and there are plenty of good choices, but Kanada-Ya remains my favourite in terms of taste and service.

The service was great and super friendly however, we were a party of 5 and only one of us actually liked the food. The starters were really tasty but the ramen was not unfortunately.

Extremely poor service by Melissa. It was raining heavily and our family with two young kids was asked to wait outside the restaurant. We were the only customers at the point in time and there was not sympathy by Melissa. Terrible experience. With such poor service, the appetite for the food was gone. Very disappointed. Would have given the worst rating here and I wouldn’t give a star at all. In response to your reply - I saw a group of customers standing at the same area where we were turned away rudely. They were not turned away and were allowed to congregate there for a while sheltering themselves from the rain. Please be responsible and investigate on this matter instead of finding excuses to defend yourselves. Again, if Melissa’s service had been more sympathetic and helpful, I would not have shared my experience on this. The restaurant service ought to be improved quickly. Hence, please reflect upon so that patrons would return. Do not need to be defensive in here. Thank you.

There were many bookings but the guy on front studied the reservations and managed to squeeze us in very kindly. We appreciated the effort and the food as always was delicious. The broth is 10/10 and noodles are delightful. I also had the yuzu lemonade which was delicious.

Best ramen I've ever had! The flavors were incredible, and the onigiri was top-notch. Absolutely loved everything about this place.

Decent food, horrible service and atmosphere. We’re sent to downstairs sits where you barely have space. Our table was literally between the kitchen and the bathroom. We asked twice for our back table that was free but no one did anything. Every ramen is 18£ on average which is expensive taking into account the quality of the place.

One of the best ramens me and my partner have ever had and we lived in Asia for 6 years!

Over all this place was really good. Ramen broth was really delicious. The chashu was also well seasoned however it looked like 3 thin peaces or roast pork, and the chicken gyoza had some weird spice init that made it unbeatable. maybe I expected slightly too much after living in Japan and experiencing Chef Morimoto’s food. And the last this is the price, for 2 (kind of small looking ramen), gyoza, edamame and 2 drinks we payed £77…. Way too much

Comimos allí con 5 personas, comimos la Opción Vegetariana y el Tonkotsu Ramen. Todos eran muy deliciosos. Mi favorito era el caldo de hongos. El tamaño de la porción es ligeramente más pequeño de lo habitual, pero todos nos fuimos saciados y felices.

Being a noodle nerd, I've been here a few times over the years. It's one of the best places to go for a very decent example of Japanese ramen in London. This time around I do find the noodles have changed, being less bouncy. The extra firm noodles do not really feel that firm. Not sure what's happening there but everything in the bowl is otherwise brilliant.

Este último estaba delicioso de delicioso y bien - cocinado del caldo al huevo Hanjuku. También recomiendo el Matcha Fondant de postre. A pesar de estar muy ocupado, el servicio también fue muy bueno, especialmente de Eliseo que me atendió. Me dieron una mesa que se adaptó a mis necesidades y todo el mundo era amable y acogedor. Definitivamente volveré.

Fancy a hot Ramen, the Tonkotsu X is really delicious, full of flavor and hearty. Don’t forget to add the Tamago :) Plan to come early, there is a queue. The decoration is pretty and cozy.

Food is great. Nice and diverse offering of small and large dishes. Staff takes kids into account, and tries to seat a larger party, even though they're already busy.

Good food and atmosphere. Went back on less busy hours as usually is quiet busy. Food was good and service as well.

Small restaurant. Lunch menu is good value for money with free green tea. Ramen was firm and reminds me of Ichiran ramen. But the pork broth is not as thick and flavourful as I would like it to be. Pork was fatty and not that tender also. Egg was flavourful but quite expensive at 2.65£.

A popular tonkotsu ramen restaurant in London. Kyushu pork bones with a high level of perfection reminiscent of Ippudo. I ordered Tonkotsu X (16.25€), but I felt the portion was a little small. If I had to say anything strongly, I would have liked a little more individuality. Still, I think it's definitely at a high level among Japanese ramen restaurants overseas. The reviews that say it took a long time to be served did not apply to me, and it came out within 5 minutes of ordering! I was a little worried because I was in a hurry, but there was no need to worry.

Fantastic food, world class ramen and great service. I'm a bit old school and just prefer a bill to be given to me rather than scan a QR code and everything else but other than that can't wait to go back!

A lovely little restaurant, great service and prices, wonderful food. Would highly recommend and will definitely come back. I had the Chashu Don and gyozas. The pork was phenomenal, and the pickled ginger packed a delicious punch!

You can't book but we found a table for two. It was a nice meal full of explosion of flavours. I lived the fried chicken! I wasn't a massive fan of the gyoza's but the noodles were awesome with the extra spicy sauce.

Fantastic place for Ramen, Katsu Curry and their onigiris were great too. We’ll definitely recommend the restaurant to our friends and we will be back again. Great costumer service and the restaurant is small like a little cozy knock outside the busy streets of London, perfect to relax and enjoy the food.

Plastic utensils which are known generally speaking to cause health issues which have replaced normal wooden chopsticks and ceramic spoons. the chashu chicken ramen was also not tasty. prior to the pandemic this restaurant was excellent.

Tried out their new-ish menu! The red-texted Cha-Mori Ramen caught my eyes. It's not spicy by default but you can ask for chilli oil or one of their spicy paste extra. The broth was sweet, with certain hints of tanginess. The chashu pork slices and the pulled pork were great. I've always liked the firm noodles here, too. Overall an awesome ramen. Ordered Agedashi Tofu as well. I think it's okay. The crust could have been crispier. Not as much of a highlight as the ramen. This Kanada-ya is small, but very central. It's within a 5-minute walk of Leicester Square / China Town / Piccadilly Circus. Go check out those areas after (or before) your meal.

Great service and amazing food. Really good lunch menu as well as not too expensive. Nice ambience as well. The Onigiri Sake is really tasty and so are the ramens such as the Tonkotsu, Tonkotsu X and the vegetarian option.

Came here after seeing a wonderful show (Your Lie in April) at The Harold Pinter Theatre and ended up loving it. I ordered the Kinolo and chashu tofu ramen with regular noodles, nori and Goma. It was delicious, the broth was flavorful but not too salty. The agedashi tofu was okay, too much ginger in my opinion. Overall, the place was clean, the staff was nice, and the food was tasty. I highly recommend checking it out.

Went for ramen on a weekend. Service and seating was ok. Paid £17 for a spicy ramen (normal portion, not XXL) and an extra egg. Ramen came up with only one egg (meaning that original ramen comes without it). Pork was just cold and not marinated as it should be. Ramen was OK, quite nice, but it definitely shouldn't be £17.

Best bowl of Ramen in London, broth is not greasy, very tasty, the Ramen noodles are just the right texture. The not so good is it's getting ridiculously expensive, the egg is an add-on and the portions aren't as big as other Ramen restaurants.

I had a great time in the Islington branch but this branch was decidedly mediocre. The chicken karaage especially was extremely dry and flavourless and the overpriced cocktail was from a can
