Service was impeccable from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed and escorted upstairs, where we enjoyed an unforgettable dining experience. The lighting and ambiance made for a perfect evening, and the food was both visually stunning and delicious.

Absolutely stunning. Excellent staff, super impressive food and the roof top bar is awesome.

I could not find a single flaw in our experience. The staff was incredibly professional and friendly, the food was divine, and the cocktails were expertly crafted. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in London.

An absolutely MUST for Japanese fodder lovers!! Had an amazing dinner on Tuesday! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted at reception, which made us feel very welcomed. We started the evening with a pre-dinner cocktail that had just the right amount of spice (possibly togarashi!) The food was absolutely spot on 🤤 The black cod gyozas were packed with flavour, the makis were made to perfection—and trust me, I’m picky! If the sushi rice isn’t cooked right, I won’t enjoy it, but the chefs nailed it. We also had wagyu skewers from the robata grill, and they were next-level—tender, juicy, and packed with that incredible smoky char. A fantastic experience from start to finish—I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend if you love top-quality Japanese food.

A Premium Sushi & Wagyu Experience! I was really looking forward to trying the set menu at Aqua Kyoto, but unfortunately, everyone in your party must order it, so I had to stick with the a la carte menu instead. This wasn’t an issue, as our group decided to order a variety of sushi and split it five ways, allowing us to try a great selection. Since I was quite hungry, I ordered a bit more than usual, and my bill ended up being around £200, so it’s worth noting that Aqua Kyoto can be quite pricey—but the quality definitely justifies the cost. For appetizers, I had the Edamame with sea salt and Japanese aubergine with fig and sesame miso, which were both simple but well-executed. For my main course, I went for the Scallop & prawn tsukune with tobiko and spicy mayonnaise, as well as the A3 Wagyu beef sirloin skewers served on a hot stone. Both dishes were rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. As a group, we also shared the Aqua Kyoto Omakase Sashimi (12 pieces) and the Aqua Kyoto Innovative Sushi Platter (10 pieces). The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the sushi was beautifully presented. To drink, I had some sake, though I can’t remember which one I ordered—but it paired beautifully with the meal. The ambience was sleek and modern, making it a great choice for a high-end sushi experience. The service was attentive, and the entire dining experience felt elevated. Overall, Aqua Kyoto is perfect for those looking for premium sushi, Wagyu, and an upscale dining experience. Just be mindful of the price, as it can add up quickly!

The food was out of this world! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The rock prawn tempura was a must-try. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience even better. Can't wait to come back!

We visited the restaurant on June last where, for a surprise birthday brunch. We had a fantastic time with their unlimited sushi brunch—the food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth it! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the service was great, making it a wonderful experience overall. The only small letdown was that our requested birthday celebration didn’t happen, even though we saw others being celebrated. We understand it was a busy day, but it would have made the occasion extra special. We did received 2 chocolate balls with a candle by a shy waiter but nothing like the others, happy birthday song sang by the 2/3 waiters. That said, we still had an amazing time and would happily return for the delicious sushi and great vibes!

Welcome, service and staff were amazing- we had the set menu as we wanted to test the food - out of 3 courses the main and dessert were the best, starters not so much. This was a buzzy, loud restaurant- if you prefer something quieter we were shown a Spanish restaurant to the rear which had a more relaxed atmosphere. Nice views from the terrace - this probably is the best feature, so recommended for drinks.

Top marks all-round - we had the taster menu with sake.

We started with the rock prawn tempura crisp, light, and full of flavor and followed with the signature black cod. My dad, who rarely comments on fish, couldn’t stop raving about how tender it was. The staff provided excellent service, frequently checking if we needed anything while giving us space to enjoy our celebration. We also sampled a few sake options, and the attentive server guided us to the perfect pairing. recently dined here (12 Feb) for my husband's birthday, and while the food and overall experience were quite good, I was left disappointed by the lack of attention to our special occasion. Before our visit, I called ahead to request a small cake or some sort of dessert to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was marked on the booking reservation as well. The person on the other end assured me that it would be taken care of. However, upon arrival, there was nothing arranged—not even a simple cupcake with a candle. This oversight was quite disheartening, especially since I wanted to make the evening memorable for my husband. Although the food was enjoyable and the service was decent, I couldn't bring myself to voice my disappointment during the meal, as it was meant to be a celebration. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant for special occasions based on this experience. If you're looking to celebrate a milestone or birthday, it might be worth considering other options that will truly acknowledge your special moments.

Food quality was very hit and miss, and potion sizes were often on the small side which was disappointing for the price charged. The venue itself is nice and the location is central but I left feeling that none of the dishes ordered were memorable & wish I had tried #SushiSamba or similar as they would have provided a much better quality menu for a similar price.

Atmosphere was awful - only about 3 tables occupied. Outrageously expensive - particularly for the quantity and quality of food. 8 individual pieces of sushi, 4 dumplings and 2 bowls of distinctly average miso soup for £95. #ShouldhavegonetoNobu

We got the experience set menu, it was very disappointing and below average. We looked forward to this meal for a special occasion but it seems you are paying for the location and not the food. Some of the food looked great but tasted bland. Even for a high end restaurant I feel it was over priced compared to its competitors. If you don't want to be disappointed go somewhere else.

Food is fennomenal, but some of the dishes do not match Value for Money in London. Example is the Duck Breast with Duck Liver. Very nice dish from the look & feel point of view, but you can't consider that as a LARGE dish. Some appetizers were "larger". Service is welcoming, but some times disperse. At least the night we visited. Atmosphere is fantastic!!! At moments, music was a bit too loud.

Had a lovely brunch celebrating my best friend's birthday, food and ambience really great, couldn't really fault it until when asking for a refill, the attitude of a particular senior member of staff need addressing and the resetting of the table whilst the incumbent party are still dining is deplorable. Would like to give it another go but please do not treat bottomless brunch customers as second class citizens if this is a deal you are offering.

An enjoyable dinner that was made sweeter by the delight on the OO face as he looked around the venue and savoured his food choices. Even the LO, without being offered, willingly tried sushi amongst other dishes that he usually turns his nose up to. It was truly unfortunate that he sicked it up when we got home - perhaps it was all too much all at once. *palm face* I just hope that it doesn't put him off sushi again!!. I digress, every dish we ordered although small was delicious.

Booked Aqua Kyoto for my best friend’s birthday, and it turned out to be the perfect choice! The atmosphere was stunning—dim lighting, stylish decor, and a lively bar area, making it ideal for a celebration. We tried their £50 sushi brunch, which included unlimited fresh-made sushi plus multiple appetisers and mains. The nigiri was thick-cut and incredibly fresh, and we happily went for extra rounds. The grilled beef was perfectly cooked, and the matcha tiramisu was a dream. For a high-end Japanese experience at great value, this is definitely worth a visit. Will be back! 🍣

Beautiful interior, delicious food and outstanding service.

Chose this beautiful Japanese place to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. Really nice ambiance and lovely rooftop. We ordered the chicken teriyaki truffle and aubergine robata skewers along with the pork gyozas for starters. Gyoza and aubergine was delicious but the chicken skewers lacked flavour, we couldn’t taste any teriyaki truffle. Was only when we asked our server for the additional sauce we enjoyed the dish. We also got a portion of the blue fin tuna sashimi which my husband enjoyed. For the main we got our favourite black cod. This was very very different from the black cods we have had in the majority of the Japanese restaurants. Even though the flavours were exceptional, the portion of the black cod was disappointingly tiny. For dessert do not miss the cherry blossom, panacotta was melt in your mouth. Special shout out to Aising our server who did a fantastic job looking after us

I have been there to celebrate my bday! The service was really professional and straight forward. Reception really polite and friendly. Our waitress (unfortunately I forgot her name but start with S :)) she knew the entire menu and she was always available for recommendations. The food was delicious, the cocktails well made and really tasty as well. At the end we even tried sake flavour! I would recommend to friends and family… really worthy the visit!

The music at the restaurant was TOO loud that I thought I was at a club or something. We were in a group of 4 and we couldn’t even talk to each other normally. Though, if you like music as loud as clubbing level. Then it’s a place for you. But for a meal out chilling and having a chit chat with your friends, then best hope you won’t get a headache like I did. Food - excellent. Service was good except when we reflect about our opinion on the background music and there wasn’t much that could be done

We went for the Kyoto nights deal and it was fabulous! The bottomless Prosecco was flowing, they didn’t let your flute empty and the food was good too. There wasn’t a massive selection of sushi but what there was, was delicious. The only thing we didn’t love was the desert platter but we were so full by then that it didn’t really matter. The music the dj was playing was so vibey and the service was 10/10!! Our waiter was so attentive.

I have heard so much good things about Aqua Kyoto and especially the brunch over the years from friends so I booked it for my birthday. I was highly disappointed in both the food and service, our drinks were empty a lot of the times and apparently the menu had changed to what my friends had experienced over the years (for the worse).

Not sure of the ladies names the young Turkish girl was so lovely amazing customer service and made our experience so much fun. Second time she’s served me and both times was great service by her

I visited Aqua Kyoto on 19th January to celebrate my birthday, and it was very disappointing. I was charged £55(£5.5 per person) to slice my cake, which wasn’t mentioned beforehand. My group wasn’t allowed to take our coats because we were told only restaurant customers could, which felt unfair. The staff, especially the male receptionist, were rude and unprepared. Despite being told booking wasn’t necessary, they seemed disorganised and unready for my party. To make matters worse, while I followed the dress code, I noticed others didn’t, showing inconsistency in your policies. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and I won’t be returning. Of the two options, Spanish or Japanese food, we chose Japanese. Very good service from the waiters, they recommended vegetarian dishes and were very attentive to allergies. The food was great, it's expensive but still good value for money. We were able to observe how the sushi cooks meticulously cleaned all the utensils, paying attention to every detail.
