Visited here for dinner on Saturday night and we ordered from the A La Carte menu. We had the Yuzu & shiso marinated lamb cutlets and the A3 Wagyu beef, both very tender and tasty. We also had some Maki which did not disappoint at all. The least favourite thing was the Matcha soba noodles. The atmosphere was lively. Despite how busy it was the service was great and there were no delays.

I visited yesterday and absolutely loved it. The service and our waiter were really amazing and gave us great recommendations, so attentive, service was so quick and they were constantly checking on us. Water was also constantly refilled. The food was delicious we loved everything. Went on a Thursday and really enjoyed the vibe, there was an dj playing and the music was good. Our favourite dish was the spicy tuna roll and the sea bass, also loved the aubergine. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food, i don’t drink alcohol so would have loved to see better soft drinks on the menu. Also the cherry blossom is a gorgeous dessert but i thought it was an actual brownie so was a bit disappointed when it came crumbled but otherwise have nothing bad to say. Will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu, would love to try the sushi platters as they looked amazing.

Aubergine and gyoza starters were not bad, but wagyu skewers tasted awful and black cod was mixed in with rice at the table and ended up tasting only rice. For the price this was nowhere near worth it. Empty place but still slow service (fast delivery of food, but slow on everything else). Won’t come back.

We had an amazing waiter Omar for my friends bday- he made us feel super comfortable and he is really friendly

we had a reservation for a bar. I asked the host twice where we could sit and she didn't even accompany us to the table, she told us to find the table ourselves. I assume that the host is paid to accompany the customer to the table or is she there to do what? terrible welcome. I went out to see if there is room outside on the terrace and I have to go and look for the waiter to order, in the end I decided to leave and not spend even £1 in this place that has gotten much worse. you should treat your customers better and you will see that you will earn triple especially now for your service charge. change the staff please

I do not have enough superlatives to do this place justice. From being greeted professionally at ground level to escort up in the lift and welcomed into the main restaurant, everything was first class. Although we got an early table and therefore experienced the restaurant at a quiet time the service was quick without being rushed. The lighting was well considered, with subtle spotlights against a dim background, cleverly placed to allow the ubiquitous social media snapshots to best showcase the visually spectacular offerings. The food itself is unbelievably good with excellent flavour paired with a flair for presentation giving a feast for both the palate and eyes. Each interaction with every member of staff found them to be smart, professional and engaging without being over familiar. Spotlessly clean and nicest toilets around. I have been trying to find fault in the interest of balance, but I cannot. One of the best dining experiences I have enjoyed and we left delighted and very, very impressed. Well done to all involved in this venture. Take a bow !

The Hong Kong Aqua has a really special ambience. Unfortunately this doesn’t carry to London. The music here was so overpowering it was really hard to hold a conversation. Service was slow and a little dismissive. Food was ok, but nothing special. You might say it’s all a bit up its own ketsu.

I had the pleasure of dining at Aqua Kyoto with a friend a few nights ago. The atmosphere was elegant, and the selection of dishes was exceptional, all thoughtfully recommended by Paola, the outstanding Assistant Restaurant Manager which was the highlight of the night. Camilo, the Bar Manager, also curated a fantastic selection of handcrafted drinks, which perfectly complemented our meal. Their attention to detail made the evening truly unique, immersing us in the exceptional journey the restaurant offers.

A huge thank you to Paola Camillo and the entire team! It was an incredible evening with a fantastic atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. We truly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to return. Thank you all for making it such a memorable night!

We ordered the experience menu for our group of four. The food quality was quite good, especially the lamb cutlet, and the tempura sauce was excellent. The sashimi was fresh, but the sushi toppings were a bit over the top, overshadowing the seafood, which should’ve been the star. I had high hopes for the Wagyu, but it was overcooked, losing the distinctive flavor that Wagyu is known for. This was disappointing. I was so excited to bring my friends here—they had flown all the way from the Caribbean to visit me in London. It might not have felt like a special occasion to them, but for me, this meal was truly meaningful. It’s such a disappointment! Regarding the service, we had a reservation at 7:30pm and were told another party was coming at 9:30pm, but within the first 5 minutes of sitting down, we were already asked if we were ready to order. One of my friends isn’t fluent in English, so I had to take time to explain the menu. The server kept coming over every 3–4 minutes asking if we were ready to order, which made us feel quite rushed. They even asked twice if we wanted edamame after we’d already said no the first time. The first dish was miso soup, which came quickly, but the table only had chopsticks, and the soup was so hot that drinking it directly from the bowl was difficult. After one of us burned their mouth, we had to ask for spoons, which felt like an unnecessary inconvenience. We originally asked for tap water, but at one point, the server came over and poured still water without asking. I didn’t notice at first, but I saw two other staff members waving their hands and shaking their heads at the server, which was unprofessional. When I mentioned we asked for tap water, they said, “it’s okay, it’s on us,” which put me in an awkward position to accept. Even though I knew we had to vacate the table by 9:30pm, the server cleared my plate (which still had kimchi on it) immediately after I finished the lamb. I had to ask them to leave it so I could finish the sides, which made me feel uncomfortable. Overall, it was so loud that I felt like I was in a bar, not a restaurant. It was difficult to have a conversation, and we couldn’t even hear the servers explain the dishes when they were served. At £105 plus a 15% service charge, there are definitely better options out there. I spent the whole meal watching the clock, worried about being rushed off the table. For the price and the pressure, I definitely won’t be coming back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Aqua Kyoto. We had the Champagne & sake experience and every course was delicious. Apart from the Sashimi which my girlfriend didn't like - but more for me :-) Ambiance was great and the service was also very good. I would definitely recommend and we will plan to go back.

We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon for drinks on the outdoor terrace at Aqua Spirit and unfortunately we were seated at a table directly underneath speakers from which music was being blasted out that made the table and surrounding areas vibrate so much it was unbearable! With several attempts to ask staff and managers to do something about it it just fell ironically on deaf ears!! They were simply not interested and looked at us almost with contempt at asking such a thing. We just had to move and stand near the balcony. Avoid this place at all costs. Even inside the music is blasting out everywhere and really not sure how anyone can enjoy a lunch or drink inside or out! The one saving point was a polite young waitress who took our wine order.

We loved the food, the atmosphere, the service is magnificent. The person who served us is called Ana Yepes, very pleasant and helpful. She helped us decide what we wanted. She gave us recommendations that she told us were very delicious, like different lamb, sushi, wine, and divine attention. We will return. We will recommend that Ana serve you if available, but all staff were amazing.

I've been in Aqua Kyoto three times, and each experience has been exceptional. The food is consistently delicious, the service is always great, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I also like their extensive sake selection!

I went for lunch. Unfortunately, my friend was ill so I went alone. Amazing food experience from start to finish. The Bento box was amazing. Service was exceptional. I couldn't fault a thing. I will definitely be back to taste the rest of the menu.

The wagyu kebab was delicious and presentation of food superb. Staff were very helpful in returning an umbrella I left behind.

We had a great birthday brunch! Loved the atmosphere, and we really appreciated the Vegan options put together by the chefs (not everything was listed on the brunch menu, so you will need to ask the staff) . The food was fresh and very tasty, with generous portions! Good job!

First time back in a good few years, sadly it feels like a shell of the place it used to be. While nothing was bad, it also didn't exceed any expectations from service to food. It's lost that quality touch which I suspect is a post COVID knock on. Unlikely to return, much better places to eat and drink for the same price if not less

Service was slow at first but when our server came the service was excellent and the food was great to match. Lots of fantastic sushi and regular top ups on the Prosecco made for a very enjoyable evening.

We discovered the glass sushi that was delicious but food in general quite expensive. We went to celebrate my birthday and the table next to us got a small free dessert as a birthday gift while we didn’t. They also have a DJ at the terrace that was nice until it got too crowded and someone spilled a drink over my white dress. I don’t think I would come back.

Great Ambience with outstanding food

Thank you Aqua Kyoto! We booked for brunch to kick start birthday celebrations for a friend. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles. Our waiter was very attentive, ensuring that we were never without a drink! The food and cocktails were expertly made and delicious. It was the perfect way to begin the birthday celebrations and we were certainly be visiting again!

Lovely roof terrace - much nicer outside than inside - the outside has lovely views and flowers everywhere - the inside is quite dark and clubby better for late dinners

Enjoyed dinner with my partner on our last night in London. We had Paola as our server and she was wonderful.

Very excited at the prospect of booking this either for brunch, dinner or rooftop drinks for my upcoming birthday. Unsure of what to book and with a few genuine questions, I have just phoned to ask for advice. Completely disheartened to speak to someone who was so completely unhelpful and dismissive. An establishment of this standard charging top end prices should be providing a far superior customer service experience. Sadly, the result of this conversation has been that I am looking for other options for my celebration. Not good.

We made the mistake of getting the set menu. It all lacked flavour. The only thing I enjoyed was from the a la carte menu. Their 'original' cocktails were seemingly made by a beginner, the balance was completely off in flavours. The service was a let down. They all seemed like messy amateurs serving food like it was a street stall. No attention or care to us customers, no finesse, and not even clearing the table. I would rather go to wagamamas. And I hate wagamamas, but it's worth what you pay.

The staff was so rude denying my entry. On this occasion I have had 1 drink. The reception staff claimed I was too drunk and swaying everywhere. So embarrassing for me infront of my friends.

The food was incredible. The team were so helpful and friendly. And you then have the roof top bar after dinner in which to take in the views of London and great music as a result of a great DJ. We had a great night!

Fabulous food .. great service .. vicious vibe!!

We made a reservation at 5pm and were turned away at the door because we had a baby. The downstairs doormen was quite rude about it and said it wasn’t a place for children. We said that should be the parents decision. He said there’s a law that children under 18 can’t be in bars. That is factually untrue as we then went to a pub right afterwards. He then shooed us out and was again very rude. This is not how to treat parents. We’d understand if you don’t want children running around or sat at your bar. But we booked a table and had a sleeping baby with headphones on. This is not how to treat customers or families.

Good food, friendly staff in the restaurant. Reception in the hall near the elevators above was a bit unfriendly / uninterested, perhaps because we were in summer clothes (35 degrees outside) or because we are a bit younger. My tip; don't judge and treat all customers equally you have no idea..

Very bad service and I’m very disappointed the fact that Waitrose dosen’t know how to do a properly customer service. I went to tine first time a make a big complain because my food was late for Almoste 1h and the add service charge for what??? For bad customer service? I don’t normal complain but for what you spend in there should be much better. Never go again !!!!!

We eat here before going to the London Palladium. The service we received was very friendly and helpful and the food, including the dessert, was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the pace of the service which gave us enough time to enjoy some of each portion we selected before the next portion arrived. We didn’t sample the terrace bar but will do another time. We will definitely be returning.

Having eaten here on the same Monday as another particular restaurant in Mayfair I have reviewed, I really had to rethink the entire experience. The food was decent but took a ridiculous amount of time to arrive to the table, I mean 25mins for 6 pieces of sashimi doesn’t sit right with me. The service was average, the waiters and staff seemed like they couldn’t handle the number of people, although it wasn’t all too busy.

Very nice place with good food. We celebrated there our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. Only what I wanted say the black sesame fondant this time was extremely too sweet and had just chocolate flavour. Last time was delicious and I could feel sesame but this time unfortunately not

The only thing I will say is it was my son birthday! I called up after booking my table and asked about the free bottle of bubbles. I was told only available Monday to Friday not on a Saturday with weekend brunch! That was incorrect as I got an email on the day saying free bottle of bubbly when you either call up after your online booking which I did. It also said not available for Friday and Saturday evening. So where does it say not avail for Saturday brunch ??? It doesn’t and we didn’t get it. Which did put a downer for my son. He was looking forward to it as it’s the only drink he drinks. Really felt let down as he had his ID and it’s was his 23rd birthday celebration.

Limitless sushi Bottomless brunch . Is there a more epic combo? And all that for £58 (+£27 for bottomless drinks) in the most stunning restaurant in Central London. I think this is a steal! There are starters to share, followed by unlimited Sushi and signature mains. Everything concluded with desserts to share on a stunning platter coming with a smokey show. . Hands down the best spot in London for a date! And the best date I’ve ever had! Roof terrace is 10/10. And Kyōto Japanese Restaurant is utterly delicious!

On the whole the food was excellent (particularly the vegetarian paella) but dont waste your money on the cod brandada as it was extremely disappointing in that there was hardly a whisper of cod apart from the skin! The very decorative potatos bravas were very tasty with the various savoury creams

Needed to shout across the table for a chat. The DJ was way too loud and they refuse to turn down the volume.

Once a favorite to go out and dine and unwind, the Aqua Kyoto is now finding its feet back in the dynamic London scene, and while the food was good, the atmosphere was dampened by the fact that you cannot have an open tab when shifting from dinner inside to table outside. Paying for drinks after each round on the rooftop is just abysmal mood killer. Paid 750 quid for dinner and then have to pay 50-75 after each round of drinks. It's just too cheap from what was presented to me as an cool and relaxing place. Staff cannot do anything if management has shabby practices, if not downright treating its customers as potential thieves. Won't be back.

We recently dined at at Aqua Kyoto with high expectations, given its reputation and prices. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype, and not worth the value of money. The sushi selection, which was a key reason for our visit, was particularly underwhelming. Out of the five varieties we tried, only one stood out as special. The dessert was another letdown. Despite the enticing menu descriptions, the actual desserts were below average. With such high prices, I expected a much better dining experience. Unfortunately, it falls short in almost every aspect. The only good thing was the outdoors terrace with its nice view and drinks.

The place is great, has a nice atmosphere and the food is tasty. The service however is not aligned to the level of the place. The bar staff very inattentive to client, one bar staff on phone whilst we were waiting to get drinks. It felt they didn’t want be at work. Later whilst we were having dinner the waiter was polite however lack of information and confidence. He had to often check inquires with other member of staff and that made the whole experience slow. Maybe it was a different team working as I’ve been before and experience was more enjoyable.

Lovely brunch with attentive staff

Went there for brunch today. The starters are okay, freshly prepared but taste is standard. The sushi platter is the real game changer! Fish so fresh and tasty, good variety of ingredients + many types of sushi, rice portion relatively small so you don’t get filled up quickly (big big thumbs up), seasoning was right on spot, chef crafts very good nigiri. As a result I enjoyed a few rounds of refill. Main course I picked steak with broccoli. Nicely done, tastes good and okay portion (not complaining given I love sushi more ha) Dessert platter has tasty fruits + my favourite was coconut panna cotta (over matcha ice cream)

Loved the free flowing brunch, staff were super attentive, thank you Anna and Paula! Food was delicious and amazing quality. We will be back! We then had cocktails on the terrace which were divine, they didn’t have a coconut margarita on the menu but they made me one and it was the best! The DJ’s music was fab too!

The music was too loud, we could barely hear each other talk. Too much traffic in and out of the terrace which ruined the ambience of a beautiful restaurant Also bar service was too slow, we waited almost 30 minutes for a drink at the bar Service from the reception staff was excellent and they tried their best to accommodate the busy evening. Had a superb dinner at Aqua Kyoto, Krish and Saffron went above and beyond to accommodate me and my friends! Hands down, some of the best food and drinks I’ve had in a while! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. The Signature Sashimi plater was especially memorable. Must try! Will definitely be coming back!

I had such a good time in Aqua Kyoto. Such nice atmosphere inside and the rooftop is such a vibe. I would definitely recommend people to check it out this place. I am sure I will be visiting next time.
