Didn't realise when they says " today 2 cakes are for £7' they'd be stale. Iv worked in a bakery for 20 years so please don't respond with they were fresh!

I first visited many years ago when it first opened and even though it's a warehouse, it felt clean and nice. However, it's clear that they've now put all their efforts into the cafes because the warehouse counter is extremely run down and felt dirty. It really needs a good clean and refurbishment. Also, they don't take card payments at the warehouse, but do at the cafes. Food was okay, but probably wouldn't return unless they re-did the whole place.

INCONSISTANT PRICING AWFUL!!! I was quoted 3 different prices for the same cake in the space of 2-3 weeks. What a bunch.of crooks. Hope the.owner reads this. 1st visit 2 gateaux £9 no problem 2nd visit a week later women in a head scarf charges £13 for 2 gateaux.Tells me prices ha e go up 3rd visit as I had my glasses on, price tag says £5 so I said to the women its £5 and she agreed 3rd visit to the kake cafe on London road...women charges £7.50. I didnt buy. 30 minutes later sent my brother man charge £7. This should be reported to traded standards and HMRC

The brownies and the cakes have been quite Stale on my last few visits... very disappointed 😞 The brownies are hard and crumbles when bite into it

We are regular customers of Kake Temptations and for the most part we enjoy the treats they sell. We have our favourites now that we pretty much always get. The Bruce gateaux has always been top notch and is probably the firm favourite across the board in our house. The tiramisu gateaux was also up there but unfortunately the last time we had it, I was so put off that I’ve never ordered it since. By the time we had reached home the gateaux was a sloppy mess. The sponge had been over soaked and the bitterness from the instant coffee was coming through big time. I don’t consider myself too much of a coffee snob but I’m not really a fan of instant coffee. When in small amounts and masked with other things like the gateaux I can really enjoy it. In fact, I couldn’t even tell it was instant coffee the first couple of times we had it. We’ve had a number of other items from here and they’ve all been good. Namely: red velvet cake (and cheesecake if I remember correctly), the cookies, the Viennese finger, the red velvet gateaux, and a milk cake as well I believe. This branch doesn’t take card which is quite inconvenient for us since we never carry cash. To be honest, the other branch has also refused card payment a couple of times. We were convinced the card machine wasn’t really broken and it just didn’t exist! Until the most recent visit where the machine was up and running again.

Really disappointed in the service.. I attempted to order a cake for my nikah multiple times and I had no response at all. I even attempted calling the cafe and enquiring which they stated that the lady who deals with the orders mother was unwell… Its no way to run a business. If someone is unwell/ unable to work there should be others to continue taking orders otherwise don’t advertise it on social media etc as it is very frustrating. I’ve been enjoying kake temptations for years but this experience has left a bad taste.

An exotic array of cakes, cookies, brownies and desserts. The milk Cake is a must try. An altogether exceptional creation.

we ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday. It was my first time. They where so helpful throughout the whole ordering processs. Best cakes ive ever had and soo good value for money. It’s probably one of the only bakeries where they bake from scratch in the midlands. You can really taste the quality In the cakes. The flavour in the cake is mind blowing.

This ruined all birthday celebrations as the cake tasted awful and the the full cake went straight in the trash as it tasted awful. Full waste of money. Will not be purchasing in the future as this has happened the second time now.

I have attended kake temptations on quite a few occasions and have nothing but great things to say about there dessert's. Delicious , great value for money and overall very tasty. However one thing I don’t appreciate is on every visit I have witnessed the two ladies who i believe are either management or owners of the business but their demeanour towards their staff is disgusting to witness. I have felt very uncomfortable every time I witness and do not appreciate such management.

Hi lovely service, nice venue, very decent range of desserts and bakery items. The kake shake was nice and the sans sebastian cheesecake was delicious too. If youve not tried this girls bakery items you are missing outtt. Shes a creative legend with good taste and talent in her fingers. Quite a few food options i got beef loaded fries and dynamite chicken croissant. Both made nicely but i didnt love... However i think thats just my personal taste. I shouldve stuck with getting a toastie. Theres so many bakery itens youll be spoilt for choice. It would be good if they allowed you to pick a few of your favourites to make up a trio of mini desserts or something.

Lovely place with great deserts. Really big portion sizes and very homely feel. Service was great. My wife wanted a skinny latte and they went out and brought the right milk to accommodate her and were so lovely about it. Nothing is too much for them. Would deffo go back!

Amazing dessert place in Leicester. I had the Brucie Cake and tried the NEW Brucie’s Brother. This is undeniably the best. All the cakes as well as the other are amazing! A must try in Leicester. The ambience is amazing and the place looks clean. Nice spot for a coffee and catch up. Zay is a lovely host.

Awful customer service, asked to send enquiries on insta, really poor response and when you get a response and make an enquiry if the order isn’t above a certain amount they’re not interested.

Tried the Fererro Rocher Nutella cake. Disappointing to say the least. The only flavor dominating the entire slice was sweet. The Nutella cream barely tasted like Nutella. Don't know where the Ferrero was. The cake base was just sweet bread. Didn't taste like a premium slice of cake.

I had an order that was placed on time way before the deadline for Eid, clearly Eid has now finished and although it was said my order was confirmed I never received a message or nothing to tell me to pick up my order which meant my order was never there.. Rubbish customer service and I shall never be ordering from KAKE Temptations again. Very disappointed.

This is the only place I go to for my sweet treats . I bake myself so I understand good quality ingredients . Since this place has opened I have stopped baking as these cakes , cookies and everything else they make is so much better . Can’t beat it Great coffee Great cake Brilliant people .

Customer service at cafe is awful, had same a few times now. Presentation on Instagram is nothing like what you get at the cafe. Visited the othe evening, they had over a hour before they closed but said they’d only give coffee and cake in takeaway boxes yet charged us the same amount. Would not recommend

Just would like to say I met the owner at the food festival and what an amazing lady very kind and professional, the cookies are absolutely delicious I had the pistachio and Kinda Bueno and both are fabulous can’t wait to have them again 🤗

Had pretty good tasting cakes and brownies from their unit at Maidstone Road so we decided to order from Uber Eats this time. While the order took rather long to arrive, we were so disappointed with the hot drinks we ordered to go with our cakes. The quantity for the cappuccino was so measly in the small cup. To think we paid £3.50 and by the time it arrived it was barely warm. The Kinder hot chocolate cup was only 3/4 filled and we felt ripped off having paid £4.95 for it. And was disappointed to not being able to find a single piece of Ferrero rocher or ferrero tasting cake as the name suggested. Was more of a chocolate chip and chocolate fudge layer on the side of the cake.

Great Staff, great atmosphere and even better Kake!!!!!! One of the best cafe’s in Leicester and will be visiting again very very soon!!!!!

I always get amazing tasting cakes here. Service is always very good also. Definitely recommend a visit. There could be more seating but it is a small place.

I contacted Kaketemptations to place an order for my daughter’s 1st birthday. I instantly received an automated message requesting details etc to which I responded to. I waited 4 working days before contacting the cafe by phone as I didn’t receive a response, I was told to contact the unit and was informed that they weren’t open until the following day. By this point I was 3 days away from the requested date that I wanted the cake. The following day I called the unit twice and the call was cut, I tried again from my husband’s phone a minute later and the call was answered by a young man. I explained the situation and he asked for my number and informed me that the manager would get back to me by the end of the day, it was 3pm at this point. He then went on to ask if I was ok to hold while he spoke to the manager, I agreed and waited. Half an hour later he had still not returned and I could hear people in the background - I decided to hang up. I then followed up by messaging again and asking if the order had been acknowledged - no response. We resigned ourselves to the fact that we wouldn’t be receiving a cake from Kaketemptations for our daughter’s first birthday and decided to order from Lola’s cupcakes as they would be able to deliver a cake in 2 days time for my daughter’s actual birthday. My husband went on to write a review about our experience and all of a sudden the following day I received a response to my initial order message as the connection between the review and my message had been made. This response from Kaketemptations was sent 10 days after my initial order message and just so happened to be on the day of my daughter’s birthday. The response said my order had been missed. For a company of this calibre this isn’t good enough at all. You need to think about your order process as your current WhatsApp method is clearly flawed and has some disastrous outcomes. Based on this experience, I will definitely not be purchasing from Kaketemptations again. Please remember why you are where you are - due to customers! You clearly have no value for customer retention. Appalling and disappointing. Dates of messages along with the messages are screenshot below just in case Kaketemptations responds and states my message is fake as they did with my husband’s review and the other negative comments they have received. Listen to what your customers are saying and improve rather than retaliate and ‘defend’ yourselves.

Very dry cake must been sat there for a few days not good experience

Quick service, beautifully presented cafe cakes on display which looked elegant and mouthwateringly tasty The consistency of the cakes were perfect, it wasn't too spongey or too soft, the cakes were moist and really elaborate in the way they were presented. I tried the lemon cake, Bruce Cake, Red Velvet, Kinder Bueno and the Coffee Cake. Only downside I found was it too sweet for my liking. The best cakes out of the ones I tried were the Kinder Bueno cake and Bruce cake.

My wife and are getting ready to celebrate our Daughters 1st birthday unfortunately without a cake. My wife got in touch with these guys to organise my daughters cake. The way it works is they use your number to identify your order. My wife called to ask about our cake twice and both times (as they can identify the number) they cut the call. So we decided to call on my number (a different number) surprise, surprise they answer. The guy that answered took my wife’s details and told her to hold while he spoke to the manager. She was on hold for 30mins no-one came back. These guys are cowboys, liars, and frankly don’t deserve to be in business. Please read this and don’t go through the stresses we have. Go somewhere else!!!

To summarise, I ordered a birthday cake for my Son's birthday today weeks ago to collect at 10am. Went there and it was not ready. Told it would be between 12pm-1pm. I specifically said I needed it ASAP as we had family birthday plans for cake cutting to be in line with my kids nap times/lunch etc. Was told it would be dropped off by 12pm. Came 12.30pm and no cake. Finally arrives at 12.45pm and looks nothing like what I ordered which was a teletubbies theme cake. It looked a yucky green colour and the design on it looked appalling and unfinished. Would not recommend at all. What a way to ruin my Son's 1st birthday today 🙄😤

When there with my mates to relax and have a Dessert and drink at the London Rd branch, got a table really quick so we thought Brilliant, as soon as we started to have our Desserts the Manager (her name was Zaymeen, i think thats how her name is spelt) she came over and told us we have 15 mins to finish our desserts and drinks and leave. We were gobsmacked, like WOW, seriously, my mate didn't even finish his dessert and she came over to wipe the table. Never again we will go there again. Even dogs get better service at Pets At Homes. Avoid if you want to sit and talk, that is not happening, gotta stuff your mouth to eat quickly and leave.

A fine shop with delicious cakes. I recommend their red velvet cake. It was fluffy with smooth icing. They even saved my wallet after I left it there!

The cakes here were excellent, very tasty. Ordered the lotus biscoff cake slice, cookie dough brownie and peanut butter brownie. The brownies were very chocolatey and overly sweet for me but my friends enjoyed them. Lotus biscoff slice was perfect among of sweetness. The shop owner is very friendly and easy to talk to. However the items are quite expensive compared to other bakeries.

I really do like the cakes here and have never had any problems previously. I used to collect them in-store and the cakes were perfectly packaged however when I started to get them delivered sometimes the cakes were put in really small packaging and arrived completely destroyed. The pictures are from the ones I bought in-store in comparison to the ones that were delivered at home.

Cakes are delicious however service for celebration cakes is utterly rubbish. Response is slow and when they do respond they take another 2 days getting back to you. By then you’ve gone elsewhere! UP YOUR GAME, theirs many more other companies with a much speedier response.

I have been a die hard fan of KT since their humble shop on Gypsy Lane! Birthdays, anniversaries, and all celebrations big or small KTs' treats have always been part of our special day! Their range of Tres Leches (Milk cake) is the best in Leicester, they do the tastiest gooey brownies, and the famous Bruce is to die for! I've rang up and had my goodies saved for me, the staff from the bakers to the girls at front are all friendly and approachable. I will always remain a loyal customer

Hands down the best customer & cake experience. The House Manager Zay, warmly welcomed us from the onset & as it was difficult to pick from the menu (all looked & sounded so delicious) she helped us decide with her thorough knowledge of each item & their flavours. I had the Snickers Blondie complimented with Ice Cream & my husband had the Raspberry Ripple cake. Both were incredibly delicious and although the portions were unusually generous (wow!) we still managed to finish them … well it’s hard to stop once you start - u’l know what I mean when you visit 😉. She also recommended the Electric Lemonade Mocktail (from a whole host of amazing sounding Mocktails) which tasted very refreshing & unique with its subtle blend of delicate flavours. Completely understand why it’s called a Gourmet Cakehouse - the whole experience felt indulgent including the tasteful yet cosy decor and exceptional customer service. Thank You Zay, Ellen & Umar for making the entire experience so enjoyable and securing our return as regular customers!

So, Where do I begin?? This is the best ever cake shop's in the entire whole of Leicester 💕💕👌👌. My older sister occasionally purchases me the Chocolate Bruce cake from this shop 😎👌👌. This cake shop makes and sells the most top delicious chocolate cake ever 😊💕💕. Nobody or any other cake company can make chocolate cake like these lot 💓😗😗. I would always purchase from these lot till the end of time ☝️☝️☝️. I would 100% recommend the Chocolate Bruce cake to anybody all around the world 💕💕🤛🤛.

This is a review for Kake Temptations Cafe on London Road. It was my first and last experience there. The front of house manager was not at all accommodating and kept reminding me about the minimum spend as soon as I walked in, which was fine however I did not need constant reminding. In addition to this, when I paid for my drink I was informed it would be given in a paper cup and if another group came in, I would have to leave as I did not meet the ‘minimum spend’. This made me feel very under valued as I still paid the same price for a drink which anyone else would of. Further more, within minutes of receiving my order I was told I would have to leave as there were other customers. Again, I was reminded I did not meet the minimum spend which is not actually written anywhere. This experience made me feel inadequate and devalued as a customer. I was much looking forward to my visit here to have a nice evening drink, however it was very much a waste of my time. My experience would of been great if I had been served my drink in a glass, with a reasonable time limit rather than made to feel as if I was visiting there pop up shop off Maidstone Rd. In my personal opinion, the whole idea of a “gourmet bakehouse” is slightly overrated after this experience. Overall, good drinks but the experience leaves me wanting more .

Food tasted good but not the best for the price we are paying. Very overpriced for the bakes you get. A MOJIto priced at £6 when Half of the cup was full of ice . Tiramisu was very delicious and cookies were ok.

Visited the dessert shop on London road with family, I enjoyed the oatmilk praline latte, was delicious! My daughter enjoyed the chocolate fudge cake, heated with a dollop of ice cream! Service was perfect! They even apologised and offered a free drink next time we return due to having an issue with our order. Thank you, will deffo return!

Visited the newly opened cafe today with my mum and sister. We ordered the Ruby hot chocolate and kinder iced coffee both were absolutely amazing! We also ordered the obligatory Bruce cake lol. Lotus cookie with ice cream and 3 cheese toastie. All tasted delicious. Most of all we received exceptional customer service from zaimin and Ellen, who constantly made sure we were ok and were happy with everything aswell as comfortable with our seating. Will defo visit again . 10/10

I've put a picture of my finished cortado... Honestly the best cortado ever, perfect for an ex smoker and someone with a headache. Management and service is absolutely amazing and really adds to the already amazing deserts and coffee... We were served by Mariam and other staff who provided us with amazing service, very attentive and made sure although it was so busy, everyone was catered to thoroughly, so thank you Mariam keep up the good work. Definitely recommend and my only local place for a cortado from now on! ....

I am such a huge fan of the cakes here but it’s such a shame their service is not so great. I have messaged them with a response that they don’t do fancy cakes however when I picked up another cake two weeks ago a customer was collecting a fancy flamingo cake and when questioned they said they have only one person who does the decorating which is fine. I have now waited over three days to even get a response back. I will take my custom elsewhere and I will buy a cake elsewhere. FYI I have bought four cakes from them previously, you’d think their customer service with a RE- OCCURRING customer would be good. Really disappointed! Edit - I got a WhatsApp message straight after posting this which is great but it’s a shame s customer has to go to an extreme.

Staff members wouldn’t know customer service if it slapped them in the face. My partner went in earlier to enquire about a particular cake that IS advertised on their social media only to be rudely told that they do not do this in this store. One of the ladies working behind the counter seemed to find it quite hilarious and started laughing. Not much of a Karen to leave 1 star reviews everywhere but I will not be recommending them to anyone, there’s a dozen cake shops in this vicinity that will be attentive to their customers and that goes a long way. EDIT**** the manager of the store called me to sincerely apologise and assure me that this would never happen again. She dropped off some the best selling cakes. We have since been back and it was a much more pleasant experience this time around.

I ordered a birthday cake with owners husband Tauseef, they fogot to make the cake for my son's birthday. When I went there he spoke with attitude and didn't take the responsibility. His forgotten his customers have made the business grow and they can make it close too! NEVER AGAIN! unless you want disappointment.

Been a long time customer of Kake Temptations as their cakes are delicious. However they need to work on their customer service (perhaps hire more staff to meet increased demand?). Responding to custom cake order queries and any follow up questions every 3 days isn’t sustainable and quite frustrating when trying to plan an event.

Honestly, the best cake I have had in a long time- it not only looked absolutely stunning, but it also tasted just as good! And the service was fabulous- they were so sweet and accommodating to my many changes! I highly recommend!

Best cakes I’ve ever had. My go to place for any celebrations cakes I want or even a weekly snack. Portion sizes are huge which is great value for money! And all the goodies are fought over in my house. Got to say the carrot cake and Bruce cake are my favourite! All their goodies are absolutely delicious and there’s always such a variety to choose from ❤️

The treats are absolutely delicious. The milk cake and Bruce cake are my favourite. I have tried majority of the items they sell and each time I am left with a big smile on my face. My daughters also have all their birthday cakes from here as they love their creative designs. The cakes do not look tacky but most importantly taste great. Make sure you get your fat Friday treats in .. you won’t be disappointed!!!!

I find their service quite unprofessional and the customer service is non existent. Depending on who you are they adjust their attitude accordingly. When you offer constructive feedback, it’s always your fault and they don’t take it well at all. I’ve had cakes from here crumble and collapse and was told it was my fault as my knife wasn’t sharp enough. When it is sharp enough, it’s a properly maintained chefs knife. I’ve even been given the incorrect flavour once. The cakes are great BUT the service leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Overall, unprofessional.

Need to be more consistent in making cakes as per customer's requests. Some customers get what they want, and others are told they cannot have a cake (which they have already made for someone else) to the desired request. Very annoying and offensive. Order cakes in advance, and still get some lame excuse at collection time that it could not be completed to how it should be. Still charge the same though. My suggestion is be careful, as you can fool all the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time (quote by the great Abraham Lincoln) Other, apart from shoddy service, some of the stuff is not bad.

Absolutely mouthwatering every single item. Their milk cakes are THE BEST thing ever.I’ve taken them to Southampton, Luton, London & Birmingham as gifts and everyone is in LOVE! Generous portions and such clean beautifully presented treats They’re very busy for a reason but Persevere! Because when you get through to them and experience their hospitality and product you certainly won’t be disappointed.

Had a birthday cake made for my partner from kake temptations, I asked for a money suprise cake which they had heard of before and I had seenonline, they did a amazing job! Considering they hadn't done a money suprise cake before, the cake was out of this world,lots of effort put in. Tasted really soft, most chocolatey and tasty. Was so amazing. Thank you, will definitly order again. Good on price too. :)

Visit the Kake Temptations today. I have a wonderful experience there. I really enjoyed red velvet cake. Its the REAL cake that you could never get anywhere else in Yorkshire. Also ordered birthday cupcake and it was gorgeous. If you a fan of the Baskin Robbins American Birthday Cake ice cream like this is to die for. Best place to start your day like a Parisian if you a fans of croissant. Nutella filled croissant is freshly baked and taste heavenly. My americano is to my perfection. They use good quality of coffee and I appreciate for that. This will be not my only visit cause there will be more in the future. I am glad finally I found a place that serve the REAL things in Yorkshire. Its proper cakes guys! I definitely recommend this place. It's also have good ambiance for socialising as well.

The kake temptations team never let me down. They pull out all the stops I have been getting my occasion cakes from here for the past couple of years. They can be difficult to book in as I understand they are very busy but I just don’t like cake from anywhere else I always have to get it from here! They have very chic cakes and tasty ones too. I love the birthday cakes they have done so far and I always look forward to my kids birthdays just so I can order a cake from here!!! The price is also very very good for the quality of cake you are getting
