I don't usually write reviews but this place made my day today. What a lovely place! My first time in Barry, I thought I'd pop in and get a frozen yoghurt for my best boy as I could see the freezer from the doorway as we were passing. There was water out the front for dogs, so my boy had a quick drink and it looked fairly quiet inside so we decided to go in for an early lunch. The service was excellent, where we sat was very clean, calm, comfortable - just really, really lovely. We loved the dog wallpaper, plates, menus, etc. Plenty to choose from, we ordered a couple of tuna-mayo toasties, a milkshake and cappuccino along with a sausage and frozen yoghurt for the dog. Well, he was treated like royalty with his own water brought over and his sausage cut up in a little bowl, and he loved all the fuss from everyone. He had a great time! Will definitely return the next time I take a trip to Barrybados and happily recommend to anyone (with or without a dog). The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced but the service really was superb. (Thank you for making us so welcome!)

Went searching for a proper cafe near all the fun fare stuff non to be found. But just a short walk up the road is a proper cafe. K9 Plus 1 is such a nice place. Plenty of seating and a really friendly atmosphere. It’s a long way to come (from Billericay) but we’ll worth it. We had the K9 Breakfast and a bacon roll fit for a king. Reasonable priced. And really happy folks working here. Great to see. Thanks

Wow, decided to call in for a meal whilst walking over the island. Fabulous friendly staff, easy ordering. We all opted for the k9 breakfast, You could see the Chef cooking everything fresh through the kitchen hatch. When brought to the table fresh hot buttered toast was brought out as well. All coffees ordered was brought out piping hot. Even gave my dog his own treats ! All in all a fabulous meal worth every Penny ! Prices are great as well. Well worth a visit x

This place remains one of our top places to eat in Barry Island. The breakfasts are incredible with lovely quality ingredients. Our pup loves the scrambled egg and sausage as well as the home made dog biscuits. We always receive a friendly welcome and feel well looked after. We know there are many regular customers who feel the same as we do.

Friendly clean. Great breakfast & the dog got a sausage, a cuddle or should i say a cwtch & his own bowl of water. Us humans had a fine full breakfast including black pudding. We will always go to K-9 plus 1 Cafe when visiting Barry Island now we've found it. So very friendly & welcoming. Just wish we'd found it on the 1st day not our last...

Very enjoyable late lunch on a hot day. We had been at the beach for most of the day and the kids were getting past their best so wanted something that would arrive fairly quickly and that’s just what we got! All our meals were very tasty, friendly and efficient service with a lovely view across the bay.

I recently met my sister, nephews and their dog Lola at K9 plus 1 for dinner.  The boys chose this cafe, because they wanted to take Lolo out for a Birthday treat.  We sat outside on the terrace looking across to the promenade and beach.  We were all made to feel welcome by the friendly staff who made a fuss of Lola ensuring that she was comfortable with plenty of water. The staff clearly adore dogs and their welfare is key to the business. The boys selected some treats for Lola from the "Doggy menu" and both chose burger and chips.  My sister and I both ordered fish and chips with mushy peas and a side of bread and butter and curry sauce.   The service was very quick and our meals were very tasty with lots of flavour.  The beef burgers were good quality and the fish was beautiful with a light crispy batter.  For dessert my nephews had ice-cream, while my sister and I enjoyed homemade cake and coffee   The cake tasted stunning.  We will return again because the food was nice and the staff were friendly making everyone feel welcome.

We visited Barry in glorious Spring sunshine and were delighted to find this dog friendly cafe on the sea front. Just incase you forget that this is a dog friendly establishment, everything has pictures of dogs on. The food and drinks let this place down badly. The sandwiches were made with what seemed to be doughy white value bread, and the filling of tuna mayo had been scraped on so thinly we had to look twice to check it was there. On the menu the chips were advertised as oven baked - no they weren't - as they were on our table 5 minutes after ordering! The drinks fared no better, the tea was mostly milk and luke warm. Time enough for all the doggy gimmicks when you have mastered the art of providing good value, tasty food. Sadly, this place hasn't.

Visited this restaurant this weekend and unfortunately had two bad meals, the service was excellent but unfortunately my breakfast was ok except for cold beans and my wife’s baked potato still had a lump of ice in the bottom where it wasn’t defrosted properly it’s a shame as it looked a great place

Brilliantly cooked and tasty plate of breakfast to start the day, washed down with a large cup of tea, served up by a lovely lady. The place had a happy and relaxed feel. Loved it. Will go back if in the area.

Popped in early on a drizzly Sunday morning for breakfast before our journey home. The lady who served us was so friendly and smiley - it is really refreshing to be made to feel so welcome! The K9 breakfast was such a treat and amazing value! Lovely coffee and huge mugs of tea too. Very clean and clearly a hit with locals and tourists alike. We left with a big smile on our face and would definitely visit again!

We had a cooked breakfast here during a family holiday and it was lovely. Cooked quickly and not greasy. The decor was nice and dog friendly. Only negative was they couldn’t make any adaptions to the meal (I.e swap the black pudding).

I visited yesterday with my dog and the food was excellent. Some places are dog friendly because it is good business but here it is dog friendly because it is at the heart of this business. Will look forward to visiting you very soon.

First time visiting this place today. We took our springer spaniel for a walk down the beach and worked up a bit of an appetite so were in a bit of a quandary of where to get something to eat while we had the dog with us. We spotted this venue whilst walking back to the car and thought let’s give it a go. The place was spotlessly clean despite having a few dogs already in there. The owner welcomed us and the dog, made sure the dog had water and provided us with a towel to dry him down a bit. The food was freshly cooked to order and the tea was piping hot in proper size cups. All in all, excellent service and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning here to fuel up before/after future dog walks down the island.

Working in Barry, we jumped on the train to Barry Island, There are penty of places to eat on Barry Island, competiton is hot. This to me beats them all. the clincher, you can take your dog. I am a doggie person. There is no smell of dogie when you go in, so don't worry, The service and food are excellent, from tea and cake to cooked meals. So welcoming to all and so helpful. Will be calling back with my dog after walking the seafront even travelling fron Swansea.

A great welcome on Christmas Day. Cafe filled with doggies and people. Free buffet and drinks, snacks for the dogs. Lovely atmosphere, great coffee and lots of wagging tails.

This cafe makes the most amazing cakes ever. Lovely people who run it. It welcomes dogs and even lets the dogs use dog beds and blankets. There’s a great menu of full English breakfasts and lunches which varies from day to day and to top it all there’s a dog menu with homemade dog biscuits and sausages etc for the four legged friends to enjoy. It’s brilliant to enjoy a dog walk along Barry beach and then pop in here to warm up and be fed! Well recommended

A very clean, light and airy cafe looking across Whittier Bay. We were all made very welcome and spent a lovely lunchtime eating lovely food, drinking lovely coffee and chatting with like minded people and the owners. We would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to eat out on Barry Island.

Such a friendly place to take your dog for lunch and a coffee. Other places say they are dog friendly but this place really is - a towel for your dog to dry off after a cold swim, home made complimentary dog treats and a really welcoming atmosphere. The must go to place when j take my dog to Barry.

Been here a few times, staff amazing, our dog gets spoiled rotten, other dog owners always so friendly, the all day breakfast is lush! In the winter it's fab, dogs are allowed on the beach and coffee and food here, perfect. And they have the cutest doggy crockery

Our dog loves this place so much, she knows when we are in the town and pulls us along the beach until we have arrived. Always great food and a super friendly welcome . Highly recommended. BTW we love it there too. 👍😏

Our first visit to this superb cafe that welcomes our furry family member, nothing was too much trouble.

We had a really lovely lunch here today, we walked in as passing trade and despite the name didn't twig just how dog friendly it is, which could have been disastrous as our 2 year old is terrified of dogs! All was well though, we were made to feel so welcome, our three children were given books to read which was a lovely touch. The food was great and really well priced. We all left full and happy and the lady (owner?) was even kind enough to give the kids free biscuits. We will definitely go again next time we're in the area!

I can’t fault K9 the staff are so friendly and welcoming, food and drinks perfect, I sit outside the chairs are comfortable, the tables are always being cleaned, the toilet clean, a perfect place to relax, and the prices are very reasonable.

I came yesterday with my daughter and although it was ok and we enjoyed our food, there is no welcoming atmosphere there. Its all very awkward. The 2 waitresses and waiter were doing a fab job so theres no need for the owner to be walking around like the Sergeant Major. She was interring to much and dishing out orders when she could have just sat down and left them get on with in.

Arrived on a very wet day with dog in tow. The owner (Well guessing it was) made a fuss of my dog and very friendly. Cooked breakfast was cooked to perfection and tea in massive mugs. The cafe is clean and really relaxed. It's a shame there is nothing like this close to me. Will certainly be making a trip down to visit if in Barry.

The 1st place in Barry to welcome dogs winter or summer. Sit in or sit out dependent on the weather. Prices and selection reasonable and staff welcoming.

Well where do I start? Hotdogs with no trimmings, cheap white bread. Hamburger with no trimmings, cheap white bread. Cheese and onion toastie that looked like it had been run over by a steam roller. Spaghetti bolognese that tasted of chilli and contained peppers (must have got the wrong pack out of the freezer). Less than friendly customer service when I raised it with the staff and no offer of a refund for the chilli (my son is not a chilli fan). Dogs in the restaurant kept blowing off so the whole place smelt of pedigree chum (come to think of it, that’s what the chilli/bolognese looked like!). Steer clear, even if you are a dog lover - no excuse for such an incredibly poor experience.

We're family of four (3 humans, 1 dog) staying with 2 friends in Barry. We chose to enter this cafe because it looked spotless and it was air-conditioned on a very hot day. We were seen to right away, by the pleasant staff. Our dog was made a fuss off. A lovely member of staff apologised that he didn't have any dog treats and offered her some carrot pieces instead (a commited carnivore, she wasn't impressed). We ordered 1 burger, 2 cheese toasties and 2 tuna toasties. Our friend asked if her tea could be served exactly at the same time as the food and staff obliged. All but the burger were served with a generous portion of fresh, chopped salad. My cheese toastie was just as a cheese toastie should be. Tea for two was served in a lovely teapot. In fact, all the crockery was quite nice. Toilets were clean. A member of the public who was not a customer asked if she could use the toilet and was allowed to, whereas other establishments on the sea front have signs to say that toilets are only for customer use. All in all, a very pleasant experience and we intend to return when next in Barry.

This was our last stop before travelling home and we was made to feel so welcome. It was nice to be able to sit down and be served at the table. They offered a bed for our dog and gave him treats. My daughter had burger and chips, she loved it. My other daughter had a bowl of fries and myself and my husband had a pot of tea for two. Tables were cleared straight away and the place was very clean. It is so nice to find places which allow dogs as sometimes you don’t want to always sit outside. Staff were very friendly. Definitely visiting K9 plus 1 next time we are in Barry.

I visited February half term with my 3 children and my friend with her 2 children.

We had heard so much about this lovely dog friendly cafe, and as we were visiting our daughter and her partner for her birthday, we were taken to Barry to walk the dogs on the beach and pop in for a coffee. There were 8 adults and 5 dogs, the dogs are welcomed first with treats, beds and towels if needed. We had an excellent coffee and April the owner produced a birthday cake to share and even took time to take photos of our group. Excellent.

A lovely 2nd visit to K9 plus 1 yesterday. Four windswept adults and three dogs arrived and were greeted with a friendly smile and an enquiry as to how many dog beds we’d like and a pointer to the towels to dry off. . The dogs (some better behaved than others!) were fussed over and provided with a little treat, a lovely touch.

what a fab place,we felt very welcome even though we did not have a dog,but there were plenty to make a fuss of and the staff were lovely and the food was not bad too,but i think it would be a good idea if the staff asked customers who order hot dogs or burghers if they want onions.thank you for making our visit a pleasant one,and i am spreading the word up the valley's.

I stopped in here for a quick drink with my two dogs and i will definitely be visiting here again! The staff were really lovely and the cafe was really clean. As mentioned it is dog friendly so do expect a lot of dogs there! But being a dog lover myself i didn't mind and the dogs were all well behaved. I just wish i had a chance to try some of the food as the cake looked lovely!.

Sunday we visited Barry Island with our two year old jack-a-poo. After a lovely walk we decided to grab a coffee and found a cafe with outdoor seating. In true style the heavens opened putting a kaibosh on our plan and as we ran to the car we came accross K9 plus one, a dog friendly cafe that welcome pooches. When I say welcome, I mean they really welcome well behaved dogs. We were offered a towel for the dog, and asked if he would like a bed to settle onto whilst we enjoyed our drinks. Each staff member took turns of coming over and saying hi to our boy, and giving him a fuss or slice of sausage. We were told our pampered pooch could sit on the vinyl sofa if he wanted, as they are easy to wipe down.

We've been here a few times now, a friend told me about it, and we love it. Friendly staff, who spoil our dog, lovely food, the all day brekkie is gorgeous, and for me a trip to Barry Island wouldn't be the same without coming here

Visit for coffee with 2 dogs on Christmas Morning. Owner and daughter very friendly and welcoming. Doggy decor, teapots etc. Dogs were offered treats and pet grandparents, the Christmas cake. Festive atmosphere. Ordered hot chocolate and Americano, not the best coffee but perfectly ok, enjoyable visit- hènce 4 stars.

Myself, partner and our 2 labs stopped by here after reading the previous reviews. Our 2 labs were made very welcome the moment we set foot into the cafe. We were offered a towel to dry our dogs as it was raining heavy. Dog bed offered for them to rest in which was welcomed by the dogs. Drinks very nice and dogs enjoyed their special frozen yoghurt. Will definitely go back here when in town and try the food. Well worth a visit with or without pets.

Lovely lunch at one of the friendliest cafes we’ve ever been to. Vegetarian and vegan menu in addition to main one, my hubby and I had the vegan hotdog and chips which was fabulous and coffees with soya milk.

What a cool doggy place, our friends dog was well looked after with a bed & snacks. We all had a cooked breakfast, very nice with an excellent cuppa. The owner was very friendly & welcoming. Will definitely go back.

Visited Barry on a lovely early Autumn morning. So pleased to find the K9 Plus 1 cafe. Had two super veggie meals (the cafe has a great choice of veggie & vegan food) The staff made us very welcome. My two little dogs were absolutely spoiled with their own bed to sit on & some complimentary biscuits.

Took our two dogs to barry and we could only take them in K9 Plus 1.Very friendly staff and owner.We were made to feel at home dogs and all.Recomend you stop off for a cuppa or food.

We invaded the restaurant today, about 20 of us with the same number of dogs. The management were expecting us, we had a great welcome with reserved tables and welcome treats for the dogs along with beds for them. Morning coffee was followed by a great walk we all returned for eats and drinks which were excellent. This is a fabulous place for dog owners to go and we will definitely come again.

Visited here with my mum and my Dog. Ordered burger and chips, told there would be a twenty minute wait. 35 minuted later the lady said it won’t be much longer, 8 minutes actually I know how long it takes. 20 minutes this after our food arrived. The chips were white and weren’t cooked, we told the waitress and she took them back. Came back still uncooked, we had been here for an hour and ten minutes by this point so just ate what we could. One of the waitresses English was horrific and she could hardly understand what we were saying, lovely girl but felt embarrassed for her as she was trying her best. Won’t be returning, don’t go here if you want chips!

My partner and I took our grandson for a day in Barry Island. We looked for somewhere to eat and found this place. It's dog friendly (haven't got one) but looked clean and tidy. We ordered our food and drinks. Drinks duly arrived. After half an hour of waiting our grandson started remarking about the time we were waiting. Half a dozen people at another table got up and left when their food arrived saying it was rubbish. The owner apologised to the rest of us for this. Later she offered us a free drink to compensate for the wait and apologised that no one had told us there would be a wait. After almost an hour our food arrived. Our grandson had burger and chips and that's what it was. No garnish. I had to ask a member of staff for sauce for him and he supplied a bottle which turned out to be empty. My partner and I had pasta bolognaise. Most of my pasta wasn't properly cooked as it was stuck together. We both had a lot of pasta and not much sauce. Also what sauce we had was quite dry. A very disappointing lunch all round. Wouldn't go back.

When we arrived in Barry Island the weather was poor we decided to have something to eat at K9 plus 1. This is a very dog friendly cafe, staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is good quality and reasonably priced. All in all the best dog friendly cafe we've visited.

Had my first visit a couple of days ago with my pup and a friend and certainly not my last! Haven’t stopped going on about it since to anybody who will listen had such a lovely time and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and kind, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, everything was faultless.

Visited today after spending the day on the beach with our dog. This place is brilliant dogs are welcome inside and out and it’s dog themed. There are water bowls for dogs by every table and one of the waitresses even came over and gave our dog a treat. The place is lovely and clean. We only had a latte, a can of drink and some cheesy chips, but they were fantastic value, the cheesy chips were very cheesy all the way through and the vanilla latte was the nicest one I’ve had in ages. This is a real gem and a find, I encourage everyone to check it out.

Perfect little cafe to sit and wait for the rain to finish. Not many places where dogs are treated as well as you are. Water bowls at the ready by every table. Nelly quickly felt right at home!

Love this place. The sofas are comfy, the staff are friendly and the food and drinks are delicious. Our dogs get excited whenever we tell them we're heading to k9 Plus 1 and even try to drag us over when it is closed.

Terrible experience. Three of our four meals that we ordered were not complete. When we questioned the missing items we were told that the menus had been changed yet we were not made aware of this when we ordered. Pleasant enough cafe but was not impressed by the standard of food we were served.

Called in for a bite to eat on our first day in Barry Island. Good choices for vegetarians and dog friendly. Food was ok but not amazing but ok for a snack.

Really enjoyed my experience here. Came with my 6 tear old son. The manager lady was warm and welcoming and made an effort to continually talk to him which he loved as he can be quite shy. She showed him where the books were and took an interest in his Marvel hat which he thought was fantastic. Felt very welcome and pleased with the veggie options they also do gluten free which would be great for a friend of mine. People mentioned a rude waitress on other reviews but I think she is just shy, I was exactly the same at her age and it really hurt to be called rude when you were just nervous! Takes time to gain confidence in a customer facing role, I think she's doing a great job

Our dog is a family member and we visit quite often for coffee or a snack as our dog absolutely loves the place. The staff are friendly and welcoming and dogs get treats as well as fresh water and a bed to lie on, if they want one, also towels if wet dogs need drying off. We always feel completely relaxed here with our dog which is something we can't always say when visiting other similar establishments with our dog and the food is good, especially the homemade cakes.

Went here with my family yesterday and can honestly say I will never return! First of all the cleanliness was not up to scratch. As my mum asked if there was any toilets at the establishment, the female memeber of staff was rude and with attitude told her ‘there are toilets but ONLY for paying customers’. We had all just ordered the food there. We was told there would be a short wait for our food which was no problem. They then brought out only some of the drinks we ordered as they forgot them. We then waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive while watching the two memebers of staff in the kitchen talking and having a laugh. They brought the food out and put the knife and fork infront of a 1 year old, then did the exact same thing leaning over the pram and putting hot plates of food infront of the baby. Then after another 5 minutes of waiting wondered where one of the meals was. They had for forgotten that too. The food itself wasn’t any better. The omelette we paid £5 for was small and no bigger than the palm of my hand, the pasta salad was just spicy and awful. Then the chilli we had to wait an extra 15 minutes for (while watching the staff standing around talking) was bland and disgusting. In amongst all of this I watched a memeber of staff attempt to wash her hands twice, I say attempt as she just dipped her hands under the tap, no soap, no washing. Disgustingly she was the one dealing with the food in the kitchen too! It’s safe to say I will never return there and there need to be some staff there older than 18 because obviously the kids running the place have no idea what they’re doing!

My mam found you on Google after looking for dog friendly places to visit. So we decided to travel down from just out side of Cardiff so that Ziggy (our fur baby) could be a part of our family day out. Ziggy absolutely loved it and so did the rest of the family. The staff were so lovely and accomodating and Zig even left with his own complimentary doggy bag of peanut butter biscuits which was the cherry on top for him after having his own little basket to relax in while we enjoyed our food (which was delicious and very reasonably priced). We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a lovey experience :)

I walked in for a salad, not knowing this was a dog cafe. As a dog lover and owner, it was a delightful surprise. Very clean and food was delicious. Not bad prices either.

What a lovely place, we stumbled upon it when my Niece was visiting. We did not have a dog with us but no need to worry you can be sure there are plenty of doggies there who look so at home. What a happy atmosphere wth doggie friendly water bowls everywhere and great helpful staff. I have told everyone I know about this lovely restaurant with great food and service. Doggie wallpaper, doggie stuff everywhere, fabulous. I also overheard a member of staff saying, "be careful, make the milk warm its for a little girl" how caring is that.

Absolutely outstanding service. I walk d through the door and the first thing the lady said to me was - does your dog want a bed and can she have treats!!! What more could you want the food was exceptional - high standard a great price. I went with a friend and her child and she was amazed by everything. If you’re in the area please pay a visit.

My wife read about this restaurant on Facebook and as we were taking our new puppy to the beach we decided to pop in for a coffee and a warm up after a walk along the fount and the beach. I have to say we were made to feel very welcome and Bailey was given some cookie as soon as we found a table. He found them delicious so we bought some to take home on the way out. My wife and I had a coffee each and a sandwich which came in quick time and was very enjoyable. The owner was at the fount of the shop with her new dog and we stopped for a chat with her and a few members of staff. We will defiantly be back as we thoroughly enjoyed our short visit.

When going into the cafe we realised there were only tables available for 4 people, meaning our group had to split up across 2 tables. 1 hadn't been cleaned from the people that were previously sat on the table and it didn't get cleaned until about 20 minutes into us being there when someone from our group asked for it to be cleaned. When ordering the food the staff member taking our order didn't seem to have much knowledge about the menu as someone from our group told them they could only eat gluten free food and it took a long time of the staff member running around to explain what was available, she left and came back at least 3 times. Once our orders were completely taken the staff member proceeded to leave their iPad on one of the two tables we were sat at. I'd also like to point out that while the staff were taking orders they are constantly stroking dogs, which are the same staff that bring the food out. When the food came out, it came out hot, although we had to prompt the waitress to bring us forks (I'm not sure how she expected us to eat the beans we had ordered without forks.) When eating the food someone in our party of 6 noticed a hair in their food and proceeded to tell the waitress, the waitress apologised and took it straight back to the kitchen. After a short conversation with the person in the kitchen the same waitress that had apologised decided to come back out of the kitchen with the same plate of food and asked the person in our party who noticed a hair in their food to located the hair and point it out, to which they couldn't (This was after the food was taken into the kitchen and back out.) The waitress then proceeded to advise they would not give us the option of remake the food, but would take the item off the bill. This makes it slightly awkward for a party of 6 when everyone else is able to eat.

First visit to K9+1 for lunch with 3 dogs and 2 children along with 4 adults. What a lovely cafe in a fabulous location overlooking the sea.

It had been a while since my last visit - weather, ill health, yuletide preventing me from travelling to "The Island". I kept mentioning to kith and kin, "I've got to visit April and Gary and go eat something at K9 soon." So, booked a table for me and a pal to have afternoon tea. Were we disappointed and did we even expect to be? Of course not! We were presented with a huge pot of tea and TWO cake-stands of mini bread rolls, each with a different freshly prepared filling, little bowls of home-made creamy red cabbage coleslaw and bowls of fruit, scones with cream and jam, coffee cake, tiny trifles and little tit-bits of this and that and we were as excited as a couple of kids. So we could relax and enjoy the perfect selection of tea-time treats - created with tender loving care by Gary and Laura - April even looked after my little Dachshund and fed her cut-up sausage. We were told that if we couldn't manage it all, they would make up doggy bags. No need, we scoffed the lot. I'm not easily pleased with food I have not prepared myself but never have I not been totally satisfied leaving K9.

This Cafe is amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The staff are just wonderful. They are so attentive and the only place that makes my latte the way I like it. I’ve tried lots of food and it’s all lush especially the nachos. My dog loves coming here. He gets the royal treatment.....Fusses, towels to dry him off after being in the sea, water, Home made dog biscuits (that you can buy to take home and at a £1 a bag they are a steal!) and dog beds. Their cakes are all homemade and as a cake maker myself I am very fussy but these are gorgeous.

I visited k9 plus 1 after hearing loads of good things about it and was really looking forward to a cooled breakfast after walking my dog. I went in, there was no one else in the cafe. Most reviews have commented how nice the staff were and how beds etc were provided for their dogs... my dog and I didn't get this treatment, It was only pointed where the towels were. I ordered my breakfast and tea (tea was lovely) and I'm pretty sure I heard the constant ping of the microwave whilst waiting for my food.

What a little gem of a place . Staff really friendly and spoilt the dogs with beds and treats . Great coffee and food . Highly recommended for anyone with dogs

Went to Barry yesterday so our elderly small dog could have a lovely time on the beautiful beach (lots of space and people enjoying themselves) and popped into K9+1 for something to eat because I had read good reviews on Tripadvisor. It was even better than I expected and we were made so welcome (by humans and dogs). Food was excellent (tasty, hot and fresh), service was lovely and everywhere was very clean. Our dog is quite shy but not a problem because you can sit near other dogs or away from them. Never been anywhere dogs were so welcome and well-provided for, even various sized beds and dog bowls at different heights to accomodate different sizes of dogs and even dogs' icecreams available (thank you for Domino's).. Decor was lovely and very interesting - really like the wallpaper! Nice place to go with or without a dog. Just wish they would open a branch near us in Hardwicke (near Gloucester) as we have lots of neighbours with dogs and it would be great to have a cafe like this to hang out in with our friends and canine companions. Will return as soon as possible.

Visited with 3 wet, sandy dogs. They got cuddles and biscuits and were brought beds to lie in, which was awesome and they settled right in. Nice that there was somewhere we could block off so that our reactive dog couldn't see every single dog that came in or walked by.
