Ready Pre-packed slab cakes was bought today to eat on the go but when opened to consume on the same day, it tasted really stale, despite the best before being in April. It seems the best before date sticker was not accurate. Both products showed a 1 star great taste award which is unbelievable. I have tasted plenty of other companies 1 star taste award products and this is by far the worst I’ve tasted. I will not be tempted to try any more of just delicious products given this bad experience. Wasn’t cheap either. Overall poor products.

Recommended by the gentlemen in the sweet shop up the hill. Looking forward to lunch and we were not disappointed. Bacon, Brie and cranberry toastie and ham and cheese toastie were both excellent. Came with lots of fresh salad. Staff efficient and friendly in this small but busy cafe in a courtyard off the Main Street. Great coffee, piping hot. Loads of homemade cakes in the shop area so we were spoilt for choice for our takeaway treats. Date slice (my partner’s all time favourite) caramel shortbread with fruit and nuts and fruited flapjack were all to die for. Thank you all so much for a thoroughly excellent lunch and afters. We hope to be back soon and thank you Sweetie John for the recommendation.

Attractive frontage and comfortable inside. It initially gives you that quality homemade food feeling.Coffee was nice to start. I had goat cheese and red onion sandwich, whilst my wife had the best sandwich off the specials board. Both dishes came with salad although both lacked imagination. Standard salad with average dressing. Sandwiches were bland and a bit dry. Pricing seemed reasonable for a good sandwich, although the presentation was more like a quick sarnie you'd make up at home. I hope they don't take this too harshly because they could easily transform this place. One visit to Lunsdale bakery in Kirkby Lonsdale would put them on the right track and make their business flourish.

Taking a long and winding road from the West Coast (near Blackpool) to the East Coast (Scarborough) we decided to visit Pateley Bridge after a gap of goodness knows how many years (our son was in a push chair the - and he's 25 now!).A walker's paradise, it probably hasn't changed much in all that time - except for the addition of a café or two. With a name like this one it has a lot to live up to - but just about managed it. Boasting all things Yorkshire it's a smart, friendly and quite small place with a mix of regulars and newbies (like us). Some great cakes to choose from (what's a "tuft cake" when it's at home?).Our bacon barm and a cheese toastie were decent value and tasty - and the coffees were fine. There's a children's menu and a tempting afternoon tea. Well worth a return visit next time we pass through.

We visited Just Delicious for lunch and coffee's/cake, having read the reviews on tripadvisor. I have to say that their reputation is well founded. The sandwiches were delicious and came with a gorgeous little side salad. A real attention to detail, made this lunch really appetising. The coffees were good, and the cakes were fantastic. We had wanted scones, but, testament to the fact that they are obviously very popular, there were none left at 2.30 in the afternoon! We will just have to make sure that we visit earlier in the day next time. Still, there were lots of really lovely cakes to choose from, so it was fine. Lastly, the service was friendly and efficient. We highly recommend this venue.

Went in and ordered a cookie. (Was nice and homemade) As I ordered, my friend who came in with me went to the loo. This did not go down well with the lady who took my order, I heard her mentioning it to her co-worker. I think it made her angry that someone would come in and use the cafes restrooms without spending whatever amount she deemed reasonable at the cafe. I sat down at one of the two empty tables having a bit of my cookie waiting for my friend as I needed the loo as well, when the lady called out from behind the counter that I wasn’t allowed to sit there and eat take out food!!! I hadn’t even asked for take out, my friend was still in the loo and hadn’t had the chance to order anything for herself.. I got up mortified and waited outside, needless to say we both left and got coffee elsewhere. I felt bad for the rest of the afternoon afterwards. There was obviously something about me and / or my friend that rubbed this lady up the wrong way and she wasn’t shy about letting me know... We are nice and polite people and have worked in the service industry ourselves-I think it’s more than fair to say we didn’t do anything to deserve this treatment. There’s no sign to say toilets are for customers only.. and if there was, we were buying food anyway! Totalshame as the food looked nice, the other person working there seemed nice, and the location was beautiful.

Previous reviews that grumble about servers' attitudes, need to try working in this kind of business. My wife and I are veterans of the hospitality industry and understand how one awkward customer can affect the rest of your day, no matter how well you trained yourself to turn the other cheek. When we there, the light lunch was excellent - well prepared and presented. We had to wait a while for a table however, and when we finally got seated in this rather tiny cafe, we discovered one of the reasons for the delay. At another table, a couple who had long since finished their meal and beverages were poring over their travel guide and maps, monopolising a table for four, while other customers waited outside to be seated. They did this for about fifteen minutes, but the staff were too busy preparing and serving others, to suggest that they make way for others. I found this a little surprising, but clear evidence of a patient commitment to friendly service. Sometimes the customer is not "always right", but it takes a lot of willpower to turn the other cheek.. As to the food? Quality and value were great for a luncheon - nobody suggests this is meant to be fine dining.

We were looking for somewhere to eat on a sunny afternoon and had seen impressive reviews. We enjoyed some lovely deserts which I must say were DELICIOUS. However, we have had better service from a fast food restaurant. We felt as though staff members found it a difficult to task to offer 'service with a smile' and that the lady which I would say is the owner (short with blonde hair scraped in a pony-tail) seemed to be moaning about different things to other people in the court yard which came across very unprofessional and rude. I would also like to add that the table set up outside is very cramped and crowded, with some people having to squeeze through a tiny gap between my pushchair and a railing to get up the stairs to what looked like an office of some sort which felt very uncomfortable for us.

I suppose you just need to note that card payments are not taken, so make sure you have the cash to pay, especially as the cakes looks so good, you may be tempted to order more than you thought.

This was just what I needed on a dreary January day ! Pateley Bridge was rather quiet today and I remembered Just Delicious from a previous visit . A cheese scone and an Americano revived me and it was the perfect place to wait for my bus ! Cheerful service and reasonable prices .

Okay fair enough been a couple of times coffee is okay cakes are huge and moderately tasty but the service ! The older waitress was rude slamming the cup around and snapping when I asked to pay. Small space to sit in however it does have an outdoor seating area I tried going in once an hour before it was meant to close however the lady informed me she was closing early seeing as it was quiet??

Just wanted somewhere for a quickish coffee stop and knew this cafe did 'Yorkshire' rascals. The waitress was really helpful and the service was good. Nice cup of coffee and accompanying bun. Would recommend.

Popped into this lovely cafe today with my family and thoroughly enjoyed our snacks. Lovely quality scones and my daughter's filter coffee was excellent. She appreciated the generous free top up too! The staff are excellent. Just the right amount of attention. I couldn't fault the cafe and we visit a lot of them in the region. We noticed the meals being served at other tables e.g quiche and salad was excellent so the next time we visit we'll go for something more substantial. I particularly like the fact they sell small low cost items like little iced fairy cakes. This helps families taking their children out with limited budgets. All in all its a cafe that caters for everyone.

There are plenty of tea-shops to choose from in charming Pateley Bridge, but this one caught our eye, slightly tucked away off the high street. We had a lovely pot of tea here. Service was nice, and it was very fairly priced.

Called here because the cafe we were going to was closed and glad we did as lovely little gem tucked away in a courtyard off the main high street. Staff were so lovely and friendly and coffee and toasted sandwiches were delicious so will definitely be calling again on our regular visits to Pateley Bridge.

Stopped at this lovely cafe with our Labrador Retriever after a great walk last week. Sitting outside in the sunshine, we enjoyed great coffee and fantastic Yorkshire Rascals with butter and jam. Will definitely be visiting again.

Found this place purely by accident whilst walking up the main street in Pateley Bridge.Tucked away down a ginnel this small cafe offers a variety of hot and cold food and drinks so we popped in for a well earned break. Whilst it's fairly compact inside it's very clean and the service is friendly. The cafe also has a customer's toilet.I would certainly visit again when in town.

Tucked away behind the main street, Just Delicious is indeed a hidden gem. We pop in whenever we are in Pateley Bridge and are never disappointed. Over the Bank Holiday weekend we took an elderly couple for a drive around the area and stopped off for a cuppa. As always the cake selection was excellent and the service friendly. Today we dropped in with our daughter and grandchildren and once again couldn't fault the place. The lady serving was so nice to the children, having a joke with them too. It's reasonably priced and the items on sale, pickles and gift items, are good quality and also very reasonably priced. We took some friends, who were visiting from the south, there a few months ago. They later emailed to ask us the name of the lovely cafe we'd been to - they wanted to recommend it to folk they knew, who were planning to holiday close to Pateley Bridge.

After reading reviews we made a special trip to visit this cafe. We got there & sat outside, there was no menu on the table so I popped inside to get one only to be told rudely by the owner/manager "I wasn't allowed to take it outside". We ordered a Today's Special which included a slice of cake. On ordering I was asked if chocolate fudge was OK, I asked if there was any choice only to be told quite rudely again, "no, that was all there is"!The food was nothing to shout about but was OK. The young staff were polite & efficient but due to the rudeness of the owner/manager would not return or recommend. I am sure there are nicer cafes which are more welcoming in the vicinity.

We found this place by chance. It is down an alley which opens to a courtyard with tables outside as well as inside. We had a dog with us so sat outside in the sun. Not sure if they do allow dogs in. Only had sandwiches but they were packed full of filling and freshly made. They came with a very tasty salad and it was a meal in itself. I am not a cake person but they did look nice for people who have a sweet tooth. Will certainly go back next time we are in the area.

On behalf of my mum , she would like to pass on her thoughts on her visit to Just Delicious ,"I visited for the first time last week, great food and service with a wonderful atmosphere. I enjoyed chatting with the locals, made to feel very welcome and a rare find. I must say it is the best bacon sandwich I have ever had - which is a major thing for me to say! I will certainly be returning as often as I can , well worth a visit. Many thanks to Julie and Donna for your kindness and courtesy."

On a rather chilly day over the Easter weekend we wanted somewhere for a light lunch and stumbled across this shop/cafe at the bottom of the High Street opposite the carpark. We were tempted inside by the name and the menu on the window. We were delighted with everything: the speedy but not ingratiating service, the generous portions, the pot of Fairtrade tea with a jug of hot water, the cleanliness of the toilet facility, the lack of loud canned music playing. One of us managed a tasty piece of tiffin (from a vast array of cakes), but I had no room left for my favourite lemon meringue pie. Pity! Do go and sample the fare! You will not be disappointed.

Have been visiting Pateley Bridge for years now and this is our first stop. It is a place of quality, efficiency and friendliness. The scones are truly wonderful, fresh everyday and enough to feed two. The locals use it and this creates a nice atmosphere for those of us from down South who are more used to a 'give-us-your-money' attitude and to hell with service.

We walked to Pateley from Dacre determined to find Just Delicious as it had been strongly recommended by friends and the internet reports were very favourable. From the moment we stepped in, we were delighted - first class service from a very nice young lady, delicious food for our lunch and we then bought Rascals to take home with us. Definitely a return visit when we are next in Pateley.
