What a wonderful afternoon with family . The Jurassic Afternoon tea was simply a spectacle to behold . It arrived with champagne and a selection of tea from the menu with varieties to suit every taste . The savoury selection was delicious and the scones were so warm and light and served with jam lemon curd and clotted cream . The desserts and cakes to finish were just like a work of art and all with a unique dinosaur theme ….,from baked Alaskas and macaroons to chocolate dinosaur eggs and a range of dinosaurs which you excavate from chocolate soil . All staff were so helpful and welcoming which added to the warmth of the whole experience . I would recommend this experience in London as a must for those with or without children and we cannot wait to return .

I had booked the Jurassic afternoon tea for myself and my mum, from the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a rude and arrogant man leaning on the check-in desk, when asked where we needed to go he pointed to the staircase and said “down there” whilst still leaning on the desk. We found our way to the dining room to then be seated at a table placed in the walkway where people had to squeeze past us to get back and forth through the room, a waiter ending up knocking into my mums arm. We did ask to be moved and were told a couple were leaving soon who were on the table we were meant to have been given. We waited for a good 10/15 mins before actually getting up and leaving. Absolute shambles considering this is a 5* hotel.

This must be the greatest rip off in London. £60 per adult £40 per child. So £260 for 3 adults and two young children !!! Then they add service charges !!! Absolute madness !!! You get three small bun sandwiches two scones with jam and cream and a few very poor pastries tea coffee or hot chocolate !!! Disgraceful. There is no top up of any of the food. You are in a basement room with no Dino decorations of any description. They are just using the Dino History Museum to scam people. For comparison you can go The Ritz Hotel in London which is absolutely superb for £80 per adult which includes service and unlimited sandwiches cakes and scones. AVOID

Our table for the Jurassic afternoon tea was booked in for 18.00 and we were advised that our table would be held until 19.30. Unfortunately due to Storm Bert and total traffic gridlock in London , our taxi didn't arrive until 19.40. The staff could not have been more accomodating , after checking with the kitchen that afternoon tea was still an option , we settled down to a very tasty and theatrical dining experience. All the staff were lovely and made us very welcome. After the stressful journey trying to get to the venue , we opted for the Jurassic tea with added cocktails , well worth the extra expense for the visual dramatic presentation as well as the taste. A memorable evening which we'll recommend to all our friends and family. 5 stars and bouquets all round. Thanks ,

We visited today for a Jurassic afternoon tea and would certainly recommend to anyone. The menu was extensive to cover many dietary requires. We had the standard afternoon tea and vegetarian option. Staff were very kind to ensure everything was to our liking and made it special for my daughter’s birthday. Food was tasty and the restaurant was comfortable and modern. I don’t make reviews generally, but as this isn’t something cheap, think people should know it is worth it for Dino loving fans 🦖

The service was excellent and the food was really tasty. I had a voucher which was a gift for my 30th birthday. The staff obviously took the time to read the voucher as after the tea I was served some chocolates on a plate with Happy Birthday on it which was such a lovely extra touch. Would highly recommend this experience.

I wanted a fun high tea with my 11 and 13 year old daughters and my mother. I was a bit unsure because of the price, but pleased I did as it was wonderful. Food was novel, fun and delicious, and plenty of it with staff offering top ups. Staff were lovely. We arrived early and they found a table for us and were attentive without being intrusive. Unlike some high teas that try adult food for kids, the childrens' high tea was simple to suit kids but done in a fun way, such as a jam sandwich in the shape of a T-Rex and a cheese straw in the shape of a dinosaur foot. I love the fact the adult tea was also made fun too. Afterall, adult life is serious enough! Easy to get to, across the road from South Kensington and you could combine with a trip to the free nearby Natural History Museum. Highly recommend.

We visited Apero at The Ambersand Hotel for Jurassic afternoon tea as it was our wedding anniversary. The food was incredible, fresh and tasted delicious. The service was impeccable. We had just finished our savoury selection when the waiting staff offered us more and bought out a whole new plate full. The only thing I would say was that the children's afternoon selection was served on a T-Rex platter but the adults was on a normal afternoon tea plate stand. There were plenty of tables with no children which meant they only got a normal plate stand so the only thing that made it Jurassic for them was a little chocolate dinosaur on one of the cakes a mini jelly dino (a bit like a Haribo size) and a tin with a dinosaur print with chocolate crumble and mini chocolate dinosaurs in it. We asked for ours to be served on one of the kids plates but if you don't ask you get a normal afternoon plate stand. So my feedback to Apero is if someone has booked a Jurassic afternoon tea they probably want it full on dino themed even if they are adults otherwise they would have booked a normal afternoon tea. When other dinners (tables with just adults) saw our plate you could see they were a bit jealous. My feedback to adult participants is ask for it to come on a dinosaur plate after all that's why you booked it right?

45 minutes for even a drink to arrive. Disastrous evening. Food not memorable and certainly not worth the wait.

After the hideousness of all else that surrounds the tube station, we literally stumbled across this venue, and were so very pleased to find that they had space to accommodate us, and - to make things better still - they did food, and that food was amazing, as although we only had the sharing-platter of sausage-rolls and scotch-eggs etc., they were superb, and we left there very, very happy!

The Hereford Arms, conveniently located near the Gloucester Road tube station, is a delightful spot for a casual meal or drinks. While the food and beer offerings are predictably Fuller's, they are consistently tasty and well-prepared, making it a reliable choice for a satisfying experience. This pub shines brightest during lunch hours, with a lively yet manageable atmosphere that’s perfect for a mid-day break. While the standard menu is solid, the meal and pudding specials stand out for their creativity and flair, offering something a bit more exciting for adventurous diners. As a venue for drinks, The Hereford Arms delivers with a fun and relaxed vibe. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
