Beautiful pub with a more beautiful terrace. Friendly staff, I didn’t have a chance to eat, but the food looked so good.

Lovely time over sunday lunch for a Family birthday, we booked a large table, and Garron took great care of us. Funny and efficient

Had a wonderful time at a team dinner we booked in. Our server was sharp and attentive, and caught us all off guard with his dry and sarcastic sense of humor. My only complaint would be that the steak was a bit past medium rare, but it was still quite good.

Had a Sunday roast here and unfortunately food was poor , chicken tasted cheap , potatoes been sitting around all day and just a sub par food experience for what is not a cheap place to eat . Far better roasts in the area for same if not cheaper . Update … They asked me to send a mail to them which I explained the situation as review but no acknowledgment or reply so don’t really see the point of these generic replies they send regarding pls can you contact us to discuss . A discussion is a 2 way thing

This used to be my favourite place in Holland Park for a drink but the refurb is horrible. It used to be so light and bright but now looks like a tacky speakeasy which is so out of place for the area. Put it back to how it was!

Must be new ownership. Waited an hour for bland food. Staff overwhelmed and atmosphere like eating in a playground. No offer of compensation- all at premium prices… avoid.

Having spent such an enjoyable afternoon at The Mitre it is only for I keep to my word and leave a review. Firstly, the food. The food was just lovely. All round our table was compliments for the food so I now have a list of dishes I'll try next time. The staff were great, too. All of them. Floor staff, bar staff, the assistant manager. It had been a little while since my last visit, and in the meantime there's obviously been a refurb so the place is looking good, really good. Firmly back on our radar, we we will be back very soon!

I enjoyed a lovely Saturday afternoon at the pub. The staff are super friendly, especially the guy manager who was putting a smile on everyone’s face. Loved the fish and chips. Will definitely return!

A bit of ruined experience. Food isn’t great and not cheap. Table for 10, Wednesday around 1pm. We had to follow up on the order multiple times (everything was preordered before). Some of us started eating and the others had to wait another 30 mins before they got theirs. We were all pretty starving but none of us finished our dishes. I had a steak sandwich, they tried to be innovative, weird mix of ingredients and it just didn’t work. Mostly bread too. I much prefer places sticking to basics and doing it well.

Having been recently revamped, it is a real 'wuaw' place to go! Cosy and intimate, not too loud but a great buzz. Had lunch and then drinks - seared in minutes and left to enjoy some great drinks after food. 🙌👍 The burgers and fish & chips are a must!

Visited for a birthday on a Sunday and the staff were very friendly although the service was quite slow and waited 40 minutes to be served however the food was delicious. I had the fish and chips which was tasty and didn’t taste greasy and my family had the roast chicken which was soft and tasty. The only negative was roast potatoes weren’t good but over all I would rate a 4 out of 5 and would recommend and would go again!

I had such a great experience at The Mitre. I didn’t really know what to get, but my server Cambria suggested the rabbit and truffle pappardelle. I told her I’m not really a rabbit or truffle girl but was feeling adventurous and would try it. I’m so thankful for her guidance and care, I’m definitely coming back and will request her for her knowledge, and personable demeanor. Thank you Chef, and thank you Cambria!

Loved this pub. Food was great and our food requests were met with a great response. The staff were wonderful especially the young Welsh lady who was in charge that night and the young waiter on his first evening working. Will definitely visit again. Shout out to the kitchen staff as well 👍

Visited with 7 friends on a Saturday evening. Large table with plenty of space. Menu had a bit of everything that accounted for all our different tastes. I had the Sticky Char siu pork crumpet for starter, the pork belly was so succulent and the sauce was spot on, then I had the Barnsley lamb chop for main, cooked perfectly pink just as it should be. The desert was a true winner for me not being allowed dairy, there was a dairy free chocolate soufflé. All the staff where really friendly and attentive, overall would recommend 100%

We arrived at 11.55 for our booking at 12 noon but the staff wouldn’t let us in and instead let us stand outside in torrential rain because they didn’t open til noon…very inconsiderate. The service was slow and the staff were inattentive despite the restaurant being nearly empty. One member of staff spent quite a bit of time moaning and gossiping by the kitchen door instead of looking after customers. One waitress could be seen eating leftovers in the kitchen after clearing each table… yuck! The food was average to poor… After our meal we asked for coffees only to be told there was no coffee…REALLY! Who’s ever heard of a restaurant with no coffee!? A very bad experience, will never return and can’t recommend.

I said I wouldn't go back but gave them a second chance. Not a good idea. The Sunday roast was too basic. We were seated in a minuscule table for two, next to an outdoor door that was opened by staff all the time with cold air coming in. The waitress had No idea what beers they had to offer, even though this is a pub!

Spacious inside, for a pub. Recently renovated. You can sit outside, it it is on a busy road.

THE rudest guy I’ve ever encountered in my entire life served us at the bar. I couldn’t even order a drink I was so astounded at how rude he was, so we walked out. Never ever experienced such a disgusting ‘creature’ in my whole 37 years of living on this planet.

Beware deceptive business practice: Their waiters will casually ask whether they can bring you some bread and olives as you sit down. This will cost £11, even though these items aren’t listed on the menu. If you’re comfortable being ripped off, then enjoy overpriced average-to-ok food in a slightly better than average setting.

If you are looking for price for value restaurant in Notting Hill London. You shouldn’t miss it. Atmosphere is warm and friendly, food is delicious and good presentation, recommended dishes are pork starter and octopus main dish. Although there are limited choice on wine list but many other sprites are available. Service is friendly and attentive.

We went there on a Sunday and got a roast beef. The food was very good and we really enjoyed the decor. It was a bit noisy but overall really good.

Overall, a nice atmosphere, decent food and friendly staff when we visited on a Sunday lunchtime. The portions were large too. I would happily eat here again.

A nice pub with a good atmosphere. However, the roast left a lot to be desired, the roast potatoes tasted like they’d been reheated, were soft with no crunch. The Yorkshire pudding was anemic and the beef very fatty. Food was a solid 5/10

I went to The Mitre shortly after it reopened. I went with a few friends so could try quite a few different dishes. The food was delicious, particular highlights were the char siu pork crumpet, the fish cakes, venison burger and the steak. I really liked the refurb and will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. Well worth a visit.

Went for Sunday roast and absolutely enjoyed it. As with other reviews the service was a bit inexperienced but we found our server to be fun and hard working at making our evening a joy. Had the chicken and beef roast and they both hit the mark. But the winner of the evening was the toffee pudding caramel dessert, best ever and left me wanting more. If I lived here it would be a Sunday ritual.

The new menu is great food and service was fantastic. However the refurbishment is not so great. I don’t know who designed it- you can sort of tell what they were trying to achieve but they missed the mark and it looks cheap and dingy. They should have got a professional team in. The area is really high end and it just looks so drab compared to the backdrop of the area.

Truly awful unfriendly unprofessional service. Menu that is SO old fashioned as to beggar belief. My starter of scallops and black pudding came without black pudding. When I mentioned this the comment was “Oh they must have forgotten it….” When the dish returned in 5 minutes, the black pudding was crumbled cold, uncooked black pudding; truly awful. This is absolutely the worst eating experience imaginable and given the excellent local eateries, is a disastrous waste.

We come here for lunch with a couple of friends from Italy,and we had an amazing welcome from the manager (a beautiful lady),the food was absolutely delicious and it was a pleasure to meet Patrick the chef.Great atmosphere and I’m looking forward to coming back soon. I am in the restaurant business and maybe the staff need more training,otherwise everything was amazing

Food was dismal, really greasy fish and chips. Lady behind the bar wasn’t the friendliest, told her my table was dirty(before we ate ) and she just gave me a blank uninterested look. Won’t be back for the food.

Stopped in for a drink on way back from Kensington Palace. Went back for dinner. Service was great! I had the pork and it was delicious! Hubby had the burger with fries that reminded me of (I stole a few) of the way fries used to be made

Very well looked after by waiter Louis, he made me feel welcome and was attentive throughout the whole meal, to myself and all the other people he was looking after at other tables. I had the pate and sourdough toast. The pate was lovely but the toast was rock hard, which made it unpleasant to try and eat. I asked Louis if it was meant to be like that, he checked with the chef, who said that's how it should be served. I followed with the roast chicken and all the trimmings , along with a glass of house white wine,this was lovely . I enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine of nottinghill with my roast, but until the chef changes the bread or allows you another bread option in my opinion don't get my choosen starter.
