Lovely food highly recommended, staff friendly and professional. Met up with friends who were staying here so decided to have something to eat before we went into town. Even my husband whose normally very fussy, had no complaints. Would eat here again.

We stayed at the hotel on a dinner bed and breakfast rate and were not disappointed with the food. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly but professional. Well worth eating here.

A more recent review of this restaurant is definitely needed! Used the restaurant twice. First for an evening meal and then the next morning for breakfast. Evening meal was served quickly and was delicious. Holiday Inn are currently offering a deal where kids eat free so both my kids are too and they thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I went down for breakfast at 8am. Breakfast starts at 6:30 and finishes at 9:30 so I was expecting for there not to be a lot left and probably dry from being under the hot counter for an hour. Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong! The cold food counter was fully stocked and the dishes of cooked food was fresh and hot. Another delicious meal, and again my children ate for free. -Restaurant area, bar lounge and toilets were clean to a very high standard. As was tables and cutlery. -Staff were exceptional and that really makes a difference. They were so friendly to my children and they ensured that I was ok and happy with my meals. Thank you.

What can no say we booked not knowing if this would be any good considering the price was very good. Well what can I say it outlived our expectations. Ok it's not Gordon Ramsey but it was excellent value. Tables laid out lovely, choice of starters, Hot main Buffet and choice of desserts under 6 eat free and even when we asked for some ice cream for our daughter it wasn't too much trouble. A visit from Santa with a quality present for our daughter made it more enjoyable. Thank You to all the hardworking staff today you did yourselves proud. Will defo book for next year.

Selections are limited and the survive is absolutely abysmal! Do people actually work here? And the hotel? It deserves 0 stars. A cardboard box and a space heater would make for better accommodations.

The service wasn’t exactly what I expected, however the staff were polite. I ordered steak pie, and then later, before my meal arrived i noticed that Mash or chips was an add on, although there was no extra charge (I think). I went to the bar area and asked them to put mash on my order, which they did. When my dinner eventually arrived I noticed there were no peas on the plate, I asked the server and he went and got some. I thought the overall dinner was poor, the reasons being : the mash was Luke warm, the pie casing was very dry, although the (little amount) of meat was tasty. I didn’t time from the time I ordered to when the meal arrived but it was somewhere around 35-40 mins. I certainly would not eat in this restaurant again.

I’d just like to say thanks to the staff at the Holiday Inn for looking after me on a recent flying visit to the UK. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was spot on. The hotel was ideally placed for the various trips I made into London, to Reading, Oxford and up to Warwickshire. I’ve said this before in my reviews but the Holiday Inn says what it does on the box. Recommended.

Had dinner here while staying at the Holiday Inn. Food was good and service very attentive. There was also an offer on of 20% discount for residents makes this a very affordable option for dinner.

A group of 14 of us made up of family and friends paid in advance for a Caribbean buffet dinner at this hotel to celebrate a 75th birthday. Some of the group, had eaten there before and had a good experience, which is why we decided to try this. Unfortunately this was anything but a positive experience, it was the worst food ever! The food was cold, over cooked and tasted awful. We can only assume it was definitely not prepared or cooked by anyone who has any idea about how Caribbean food should taste and be cooked. When we complained about this awful meal and poor quality of the food, no-one we complained to, seemed to bothered and just said it was all OK. It most definitely was not and we were ALL totally bemused by their nonchalant attitude and behavior when we voiced our complaint. For sure, if we had not pre-paid for the expensive overpriced Caribbean buffet in advance, we would have left straight away. We felt TRAPPED. No alternative was offered or anything done to address our group complaint that evening or since. This 75th birthday dinner was spoilt and everyone very disappointed with the meal, and the general attitude of the Manager that night. We felt so strongly about the merits of our complaint that the very next day, we made a formal complaint in writing to the General Manager Mr Gogan there. He has not written a reply to this letter to date. This in itself shows the lack of care and customer service provided by this establishment. Shame on them, they give the Holiday Inn brand a bad name! We all will NEVER step foot in this establishment again, in our opinion others should avoid, there to. If anything does goes wrong, then as a paying customer, do not expect anything to be done about complaints made to them THEY DON'T CARE, they take your money and the service user be dammed!

A good, conveniently located hotel with a large coffee lounge clearly intended to encourage business meetings. Yes they do sightly overprice the coffee, but if you take into account the free car park and it user of their lighting, electricity and WiFi it's a reasonable arrangement.

We waited 30 minutes for main course when it came it was no great culinary delight. It was cheap pub food, shrivelled up chicken, bacon and cheese for the hunters chicken, frozen chips. My friend had a Caesars salad wasn't too bad but why did these meals take so long to prepare. The puddings were quicker, but the crumbles was burnt and the custard unpleasant. It wasn't expensive that's the only bonus!

We have used the hotel regularly over the last few years as it's very conveniently located by the M40 and an excellent John Lewis! It was very busy, as with previous visits there was a coach party in having a buffet in the restaurant. They gave us the restaurant menu and the bar saying we could choose of either. We had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which was relatively expensive but not a good quality wine, it was mediocre. The food was very tasty and well cooked, but a little on the expensive side. The deserts were nice and proved better value than the main course. I paid the bill rather than charge to my room and as the service was good was going to leave a hefty tip, when I noticed they had already added 10% to the bill, I find that a real disgrace.

Average food that is not really spectacular and with normal taste - but nothing special. I have enjoyed my diner but prefer to take a walk to Frank&Benny's around the corner.

There wasn't a huge amount of choice so our entire work group ordered steak. The steaks were cooked very well but the rest of the menu was mediocre. It's a long time since I have been somewhere that served garlic mushrooms as a starter and they were nice enough but not exactly worth the price charged for them. As an in-hotel restaurant t the qualit was fine but I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here.

Nothing special, difficult to get to off the big M40 roundabout as direction (Google and SatNav) did not pick up the very sharp left turn to get in to the Hotel.Food in the restaurant was OK, but very overpriced for what it was.Room was lovely, clean and comfortable and slept really well. Would have been really disappointed if I had only come for a meal.

coach trip to ladies day ascot, booked in to holiday inn for evening meal and breakfast.evening meal was buffet whch was atrocious. No staff to be seen, starter was some attempt at salad, ie coleslaw, potato salad, bits of cucumer and tomato no bread rolls no choice. this was followed by help yourself to mixed veg (the frozen variety), rice, boiled potatoes, some type of chili, fish cake and lasange. no vegetarian option, or so I thought. found out afterwards that lasagne was supposed to be vegetarian, it contained soya so looked like meat. no signs to say what it was! no staff around to ask! no chocolate sauce with profiteroles. The whole meal was tastless, mediocre and if had to pay would have walked out! Coach driver complained on our behalf, but I would not stay there again. The rooms were clean and comfortable so would say that is their only redeeming feature.the whole party on trip were of the same opinion ,

I get the impression that the owners are winding the Taps down. The bar staff are excellent, beer is good but often the selection can be poor. Food is no longer available, but you can take food in. The bar is looking tired, the loos are very retro, if 1970s public toilets are your thing. Its a real shame.

Great spot with lovely outdoor soace and oldy worldy interior but terrible pub. I think the idea of 'hospitality' has passed them by completely. The staff really couldn't be bothered. Flat drinks, 1970s style ploughman's and a truly awful salad with congealed dressing. Avoid until they've had some training or can be bothered to try to offer a welcome.
