Brillant staff so helpful and food omlette was beutiful. Defo go again Hubby in wheelchair easy access prices very resonable

A great truck stop plenty of parking for all vehicles. A great breakfast . With great sausages . Not the economy type. You always come away from the stop full and satisfied by the meal. With clean toilets and a shower room . What more could you ask for. I called in we say and Thursday and had scrambled eggs on wens . And Thursday the full breakfast.

Junction 23 Truck Stop, for me one of the best cafe's in Leicestershire with amazing, friendly and welcoming staff. Always spotlessly clean. Not just for Truckers, but open to the Public as well and a great meeting/function room with licenced bar.

Dropped into the cafe on the way back into London, plenty of parking and open to all not just lorries. Breakfast was great value and a good old fry up unlike an overpriced service station offering. Place was nice and clean with friendly staff. Will definitely be returning sooner than later. Highly recommended.

We held a training course in the bar area of the Truck Stop and the venue was amazing. Easy to get to, just off junction 23 of the M1, ample parking, great food and drinks and clean facilities. These by modern standards may not be exceptional but the effort and hospitality of the staff were out of this world. For a 15 person training course, they gave us exclusive use of the bar area, set out 14 tables for social distancing, cleaned every inch of the room and furniture and did so with a welcome and a smile. If it was not adjacent to our factory, we may not have considered it as a venue but when I compare it to the usual expensive and unwelcoming hotel facilities, it was in a different league. A refreshing, welcomed and shocking change and I recommend it to anybody who is thinking about a team get together in this area.

Really enjoyed my breakfast. Served in a box but that's lockdown. Quality was excellent and for £5.50 you really cant go wrong. Well done for keeping us truckers fed

This is my second review of Jnc 23 truck stop/lorry Park in about six weeks, having first reviewed it in August, during the "Eat out to help out" scheme.. My main gripe on that first visit was the fact that the portion sizes had shrunk considerably, I just thought they were being a bit naughty with the government backed scheme. Returned again today (07/10/2020) and was astonished to find that the smaller dinner sizes were indeed, here to stay. I wouldn't have minded too much, but the prices hadn't shrunk in line with the food reduction... £6.95 for a children's sized meal.. This place was always busy with truck drivers calling in for an hearty meal, not now. There were four diners eating here on my arrival, and by the time we had eaten our children's sized lunch, there was only one other person eating.. The "truckers" are obviously voting with their feet, and staying away in protest.. Even the plates have shrunk, to try and hide the obvious food shortage... I totally understand the restrictions put in place regarding Covid-19, whereby you have to order your food using the lorry park's app, but not all truckers carry smart phones, so the waitress had to take our order, and the guy sitting opposite... This place was one of the best truck stops that we have eaten in, but now it's empty and expensive for a very small lunch. The roast beef dinner that we had today, was actually very nice, but I'm afraid to say that today's visit, was my last visit.

I come here quite often with my tennants I support as they love the food here. Food here is amazing, good quality and very generous portions! Staff are very helpful and friendly too! The breakfasts here are a must!

Visited here on Tuesday 25th August and was amazed at how small the dinners had shrunk. I've been here many many times over the last 20 years and the food choices and quality have always been of an high standard. The plates had shrunk, so as not to make the smaller portion dinner look even smaller. This is very naughty, especially when they're going to be reimbursed by the government on the "Eat out to help out scheme" Total shambles when trying to order too. You're supposed to order from your table via the download able app, which I didnt have, and couldn't get, due to the poor broadband bandwidth. After 20 minutes of trying, she came with the tried and tested method of "pen and paper" Signs saying contactless and debit card payments ONLY... but they were taking cash, so as not to lose the sale, of a very small dinner... It was very near empty and no wonder. Truck drivers don't need such fuss.

I have visited J23 Truck Stop many times over the years - since the early 1990s! - and have always been impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the facilities (they have a cafe with a separate lounge area with soft furnishing and fully licensed bar) and the food itself. The food menu is mainly things like all day breakfast / brunch fry-ups, fish & chips, fabulous pies (steak, chicken etc), chips, vegetables etc. They also know how to make a proper cup of tea! Despite it being primarily aimed at truck drivers, I am a car driver and have always been made to feel very welcome at J23 truck stop.

Stopped here last night and had a great nights sleep as it was very quiet. Fridges turned off by 22.00hrs a real bonus. The best thing overall was the food, substantial portions and cooked to a great quality. On the down side the toilets and showers really let the place down they were dated and shabby but at least they were clean. The rest of the site was bang up to date and well presented. It felt like the toilets and showers were considered unimportant, but trust me if you have had a long sweaty day a clean shower and toilet is the main thing you want.

Stopped for a rest, it had plenty of food places to choose from nice and clean but toilet had a lot to complain about, slow service in McDonald’s and food not good maybe stale and cold, my son had egg shell in his breakfast muffin. But needed a break so popped in for a rest, I would try a different place to eat next time.

Good truck stop well priced good food only down side showers 3 out of order 1 working but only cold water problem with mixer control the showers haven't been right for last month

Came here to the restaurant with wife and daughter for a Christmas lunch mid December... It was a a lovely meal, Reasonably priced and nice surroundings, would highly recommend the restaurant

Friendly helpful staff, Clean washrooms and toilets what more do you want? FOOD? Plenty of choices on board znd always two specials pf he day, eal and coffee about £8.50 and yu get a voucher for£8.00 so good value. I certainly would not use motorway services instead of here. Parking not laid out the best as you have to watch where you park in order to get out early in a morning.

Reasonable food at reasonable prices, good selection, self service, only. open till about 9pm form early morning.

Can rarely get a spot as transport companies use to park and food it expensive. Unsure what it tastes like because I wouldn’t pay the price

Had breakfast @junction 23 lorry park on Monday morning, it was fantastic.perfect food which wasn't swimming in grease, and it was great value for money.The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the atmosphere was good and it wasn't full of lorry drivers as i expected it to be. i popped my head through to the bar/restaurant area and was surprised how clean and inviting it looked, spoke to a member of staff who told me they hire this area out for private parties/functions as well. overall a great place and lovely food, good value for money. Will be back on my travels.

Greasy eggs and chips - as if that's a good thing. Probably what modern (drunken and on their phones) truck drivers want but not haute cuisine as we had planned. Disappointed that Stephen Fry and Jamie Oliver weren't there!

We called in for breakfast on the way north and were able to park easily. The cafe was clean and tidy and the breakfast OK for the price. Staff rather glum

Food is ok and value for money, but seriously need an attitude adjustment for the staff, stop treating everybody with distain and for crying out loud smile for a change, if your not happy working there, then leave

Nos alojamos aquí un par de veces en el camión y tiene una tienda de buena comida, buena ducha y suele ser buena. Esta noche me dieron una hamburguesa cocinada. Siendo un tipo que después de un largo día y listo para mi cama llevé mi plato a la recepción donde el personal se levantó y no tres uno preguntó que cuál era el problema con la comida. Para ser honesto, creo que a veces la gente en realidad no dan una presa. Me terminará parando aquí pero probablemente parada para comer antes de aparcar, una decepción total.

Comí aquí unas 6 veces al año con colegas y amigos. La comida está bien preparada, simplemente presentado y hace exactamente lo que dice. Las raciones son generosas, y normalmente los precios son muy razonables. Hay un bar si quieres bebida con la comida, y el ambiente cómodo y adecuado.

Me he alojado aquí un par de veces en el vagón.

Visité Junction 23 para la cena, el personal era muy amable y me dieron la bienvenida como un regular, la comida era muy buena y regresaré de nuevo fuimos en viaje J23 M1 cerca

If you want to pay by fuel card make sure your registration is embossed on the card or not accepted which seems pretty stupid also make sure you speak slowly to the woman you pay for parking or you end up with the wrong parking which apparently can't be changed will be first and last visit to this temple of customer service

Fancied a full English after a heavy night - easy to park (ofcourse) and simply a good place to have a brekkie. Good staff, good food and just the ticket - this is what Lorry Park facilities should be like.

My husband and I go here once a year for breakfast on my birthday and we are never disappointed. It is just heaps of the full English with all my favourite bad foods - including fried bread. My husband goes for some meaty extras like the black pudding, while I stick to vegetarian. I love the booth seating and the cafeteria style service. We are locals but never feel out of place with the truckers - just a nice bunch of people.

Called friday for breakfast , bacon over cooked eggs one ok one broken yoke and over cooked toast and tea ok ish food had a strange after taste , called today for lunch steak and kidney pie and veg it's very popular today I was told it was a new pie just put in hot plate ummmmm it was very well done border line burnt the pastry was very tough (overworked) after cooking it must have been kept in a hot plate because it wasn't crispy as I would expect , I was a chef for over 25 years before becoming a lorry driver !!!!!!!! I had a mug of filter coffee that was so stewed it was undrinkable at £6.50 I would expect better when my plate was collected off the table with most of the food on I was asked if I'd finished and was it ok I answered not really and she said oh and walked off , I will never stop here for a meal again I thought Avon Lodge in Bristol was poor but this is on a par with it

Lovely peeps who serve you..Dodd was red hot and lovely for a heat price. Well worth popin in if your hungry.. Went here with a friend for a quick snack at lunch time.....

Junction 23 is popular not just for Truckers but reps etc, it provides typical truck stop food depending on who serving and what time of day service and food can be good but not consistent. For a good breakfast bap/sandwich on the Fly the caravan down the road is better

always a great place for a dirty breakfast (I.e) big n filling and a jot mug of proper tea.can't complain it's a truck stop and busy at thatget in your rig and get trucking or your car lol
