Jumeira Indian Takeaway in Wealden

We were 4 senior gents staying at Dale Hill GC to play golf. A local friend suggested this restaurant rather than eat in the hotel. So glad he did. Beautifully turned out restaurant that had stunning loos and proper table cloths. Amjad the restaurant manager was a star. He arranged a car to collect us (taxis non existent out there) and to take us home after one of the best Indian meals any of us have ever experienced. Food and service were 10/10 and compared to where we live very reasonably priced. If I lived locally I would be in here every week. This was simply superb!

Had a fantastic meal at Jumeira last night, highly recommend. The dishes were beautifully presented, the food was delicious and great service too. It’s a really stylish little restaurant with nice loos too! Great addition to the village 😍

Welcome addition to Wadhurst dining scene. All the expected curry house staples, plus some very well cooked unique dishes.

Exceptional quality of food and excellent customer service. Visited with my family last Saturday night and was welcomed by very polite staff members. The menu was extremely interesting with a combination of classic dishers and house specials. We chose the chicken dansak, tikka masala, Lebu and a Kala... wow the flavours were incredible, perfectly spiced and amazing depth of flavour. Popadums were crisp and perfect and the cleanliness of cuttlery and wine glasses was imaculate. The restaurant is fairly small, cosy I would say but decorate well to give a great atmosphere. A huge thank you to I believe 'Amjut' who provided such great service and was extremely attentive to our family. Highly recommended and some of the best Bangladeshi food I have tasted in a very long time ... great work team and look forward to visiting again soon...

Just thought I would leave a review about the meal at Jemeria last night (7.9.24) We couldn’t fault any of the food was excellent and didn’t have to wait to long. Also the staff were so polite and helpful in helping me making my choice. All I can say that we had a wonderful evening and will be returning again, and can definitely recommend Jemeria if you are looking for evening out.

Great experience to finally dine in at Jumeira. Staff were very attentive and helpful, making menu recommendations when we couldn't decide what to order. We weren't rushed to order, which was nice, and we didn't want for anything as they offered us more drinks and chutneys etc. Food was great, we were treated to a taster of a chicken tikka flambéed with brandy, which I'd definitely consider ordering next time! Food presentation was modern and considered, as is the decor of the restaurant itself. Best of luck and we hope to return soon!

Just passing by on holiday and decided to visit this restaurant for dinner. Tariq and his team couldn't have made us feel any more welcomed, all staff we friendly and helpful and the food was great with generous portions. Great value for money and if we lived nearer, this would absolutely be our regular place for dinner. 100% recommended this restaurant. (Only took one star off for atmosphere as they were having a soft launch of the new restaurant)

First take away in wadhurst moved from Tunbridge Wells- and this is the best curry I’ve ever had. Everything has a taste and seasoning and herbs. The bread is crisp and buttery. Just exactly what you hope it to be which is rare these days. ❤️

This is the most authentic Indian food I've had since spending 6 months in India many years ago. Every dish we've tried so far is absolutely delicious, with generous portions and good service (although we've only ordered takeaways so far). Even the dishes we've found too spicy for us we've ended up going back for seconds! Highly highly recommend

I can't believe how much the prices have gone up. It was £5 for the usual order in the last 6 weeks. A £5 hike not acceptable.

The food is outstanding. The service is professional, we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Totally recommend for meat eaters (lamb sag) and vegetarians alike

We ordered our first family takeaway from Jumeira Indian Restaurant this evening and were very impressed with the taste and quality of the food, the portions were very generous and reasonable price plus the meals were piping hot. What amazed me the most was that we ordered at peek time on a Sunday evening, they gave us forty five minutes preparation time and it was ready in thirty. We're looking forward to ordering again soon. Easy to order from website and clear. Highly recommended.

Was excited to have a new curry house I the village - unfortunately the chicken in our meals were over cooked and dry and the flavour wasn’t anything to rave about either - poor quality food and not cheap, AVOID.

Had my first home delivered takeaway last night. Easy to order, arrived on time on a free delivery as order was over £25. The food was hot, looked appetizing, taste delicious and the portions were large. It was by far the nicest Indian I have ever had. Highly recomended

Had my first takeaway this evening, the online ordering system was easy to use. Menu is great! Was told 45mins but they did call me to say it would be 10-15mins longer. Really pleased they contacted me, most wouldn’t. Food was fantastic and will be using them again!

The food is very hit and miss. We've had takeaways twice and neither was great- the first so bad we couldn't eat it. We thought we'd try it again and the second was slightly better however still not great so never again. They also charge for everything - no complimentary poppadoms here - 75p each!!! This used to be owned by the manager/ owners uncle and was a great restaurant. Such a shame its now such poor quality.

Top Curry … this has my vote, very accommodating with requests, and stunning flavours. This was our second visit .. well up to standards 👍👍 keep up the good work Small suggestion .. do 4 onion bahjis rather than 3 in a helping

After having both takeaways and deliveries from Staplehurst, while visiting friends we decided to collect from the new wadhurst branch and I can say only one word outstanding 👏 and certainly don’t understand with negative comments regarding collecting as I was smooth and fast.

We regularly visit their Staplehurst restaurant and we were very pleased to hear they were opening in Wadhurst. The food is always incredible and we would not go anywhere else. The interior of both places are done to such a high and modern standard. The staff are lovely and always go above and beyond and we even spent Christmas Day at the Staplehust restaurant 2 years ago. Would highly recommend. Very thoroughly enjoyed our take away from Wadhurst and wouldn’t expect anything less - thank you Jumeira!

We had a takeaway on Saturday evening which was ordered online ,we did have to wait for our order but this was purely due to how popular this new takeaway seems to be . The staff were very apologetic and our meal was very tasty ,we shall definitely be trying again.

Really disappointing after all the good reviews of Staplehurst. There were delays with the order, when we arrived to collect, there were at least a dozen others also waiting for their orders. Then they managed to get the order wrong, gave us a lamb dish instead of chicken, despite it being clear on the print out of the order attached to the bag. We then couldn’t get through on phone to let them know, when we eventually did they did say come back and they would change it. More delays waiting for the chicken version. Then when we did get the right order, something that was described as hot was barely a chicken stew, no flavour at all. Must have forgotten to add the spices or something. Was not impressed with the other dishes either.

How disappointing, we were very excited about a new Indian in Wadhurst. The menu looks great, the marketing and restaurant presentation all looks great but the food was bland and tasteless, which of course is what it's all about. What a shame but so far this is not as good as Simply Indian, early days I suppose, but maybe they should put their best chef in to make their mark at this early stage. We will try again to see whether the food's improved.
