As always a warm welcome, great atmosphere, fantastic food, good price, love this restaurant. We will be back.

Food was absolutely to die for! We always love coming to Julios as it’s guaranteed to be top quality! We had the prawn cocktail and some pasta, delicious! Highly recommend!

Where do I start! Service was appalling from start to finish! Took forever before our orders were taken & then waited for ages for our starters which we only got after I asked a waitress to chase, they arrived pretty soon after asking but they'd either been sat on a hotplate or warmed up in a microwave! 10 minutes after mains arrived for us to find out the seabass was actually a chicken dish, we informed the waitress who asked another waitress what we had actually ordered to then be told they had given us another tables order. We were never asked how our food was throughout the meal and was never given cutlery for the mains. Once we went to the bar to pay we were asked how everything was, we answered with there were downpoints with the service, safe to say we were ignored as no reply no sorry no attempt to regain our faith just here's the card machine and thankyou bye. Needless to say we wont be rushing back again

Delicious, delightful and delovely. My husband had steak. £22 for a 12 oz sirloin. Loved it! I had goat's cheese pizza and pate. Top quality. Efficient and friendly staff. Top chefs. Decor very Italian. 😁So; go there!

We visited Julios for a pre-theatre meal at 6pm. There was a great buzzing atmosphere at that early time. This is a beautiful restaurant serving delicious Italian food. Not the cheapest place in Halifax buit was still excellent value.

Excellent food and a great atmosphere. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. There is plenty of gluten free options as well, the gluten free food was brilliant and the staff were very knowledgeable, will definitely be coming back.

During a lockdown business trip to Halifax I struggled to find anywhere I fancied to eat. I have eaten in years ago but was happy enough to be able to get a takeaway pizza.

This has always been our go-to restaurant in recent years both for large parties or as a couple.Returned after lockdown and it’s as good as ever.There is currently no early bird menu but all tastes are catered for and the menu is really good value.Just glad that it is still there after all that has happened this year.

Lovely dinner - I had scallops and duck with cherries. Husband had a t bone of veal. So so nice. Most importantly is the hospitality - bought my children a pizza out - already on two plates. Then fed us around that. They had chocolate ice cream while we were eating our main. Good wine good food and lovely ambiance . Stuffed!

First visit here, had heard good things so thought we'd try it. First impressions were good, place was very clean and well organised, staff were friendly and professional. Food presentation was very good, food quality did not disappoint. Service was excellent, and whole experience was unhurried. In these uncertain times it was lovely to find somewhere that wasn't rushing you to get another booking on the table afterwards. Will definitely be back.

We visited Julios first time out for a meal since Covid so quite nervous but the staff was very good the tables were distanced and we felt very relaxed well done Julios with the safety for customers. The food was lovely and we really enjoyed our evening.

We decided to come here for my husband’s birthday after a bad experience at a very popular, nearby town centre restaurant (I’m sure you can guess where!) and I am so glad we did! Absolutely fantastic, authentic Italian food. Warm, friendly staff. Lovely, relaxing atmosphere. Excellent covid-19 measures meaning we felt very safe. Julio’s beats the other restaurant on every level. We will be back!

Myself and partner have just eaten here. The service was outstanding and the new measures in place for Covid-19 were brilliant. The food was amazing. The restaurant was nicely decorated and looked really elegant. Hands down on of the best Italian restaurant I've eaten at. Looking forward to coming back again soon. Highly recommend.

We've been before but due to lockdown this was the first time this year. The food was excellent as always and plenty of it, actually so much so that neither of us could manage dessert after our starters and mains.

My partner and I booked a table for two online for 5pm on Wednesday 12/08/20 . As we did not get conformation of the booking we called the restaurant the day before and was told not to worry they had the booking . Today we got to the restaurant at 5pm and was told they had no record of the booking . We told the waiter we had called the day before to confirm the booking . The waiter said we hadn’t and implied we had lied about this . When we repeated that we had confirmed the booking the day before he said this was irrelevant and again said we had not called the restaurant implying again that we had lied . I am disgusted by the total lack of service and rudeness of this staff member he repeatedly said our comments were irrelevant . He said he would find us a table but by this time my partner and I were so disgusted by this persons rudeness and told we had lied that we left the restaurant. Don’t bother with this awful place unless you want to be served by rude unhelpful staff

We had another home delivery from Julio' s last night - our second since "lockdown" and once again it was lovely. Calamari and caprese salad for starters, pasta for mains followed by the most sumptuous cheesecake. All delivered on time to the door by a charming young man. We can highly recommend this restaurant and service.

Home delivery tonight. Time slot of 19.30 to 20.30 and arrived at 19.45. Ordered starters and mains for 4. All absolutely excellent. Very, very tasty. Will definitely order again. Thank you very much. Restaurant quality food delivered to you home. Loved it.

Service is good, staff very friendly, food, however, is slightly average. I ordered the carbonara and it came out of the kitchen luke warm at most. Within 5 minutes my food was literally stone cold and this was agreed by others on my table. My friends had calzone and it appeared to be dry with a mixture of cheeses inside which aren't on the menu. Atmosphere was good just a shame the food wasn't piping hot, the way it should be, and appeared to not have much flavour. Will definitley come again as i will make these issues known to whoever is in charge and hopefully get them resolved.

We've called here on a number of occasions for a pre-theatre Early Bird meal and haven't been disappointed yet. Although the restaurant is in a basement, it's not really that noticeable once you're in there and the character and atmosphere of the place is very pleasant and appealing, with lots of images of places we've visited in Italy to help bring back warm and happy memories. The welcome is always genuinely warm and friendly too and the staff are very attentive and helpful. This is our regular "go to" place if we're off to an evening show in Halifax or some other event and the prices are very reasonable and food is always excellent and piping hot. Faultless.

From entering the restaurant we were made to feel so welcome by Julio himself and all the staff. We ordered our drinks which arrived promptly. After a few minutes the waiter returned to take our order. Less than ten minutes later our starters were served. The prawn cocktail was lovely. Instead of a dish with soggy lettuce at the bottom the dish was laid out on a plate wth the prawns separate from the salad. The prawn linguine was also well presented, with at least a dozen giant prawns, pasta and just the right amount of chilli and garlic. I rather overdosed on prawns that evening but well worth it. My husband had stuffed mushrooms, again faultless, followed by the rack of lamb. A very nice eating experience. The food arrived promptly but we didn't feel as though we were being rushed at all. I much prefer to have my food fresh from the kitchen rather than it being sat on a counter going cold. Couldn't find one fault about the service or the food and we will return.

We have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and it has slowly changed nothing to dramatic. But this time we walked as a normal a quick pizza nothing fancy In and out within the hour but we where left feeling as if we were an inconvenience, the place was not full 6pm on a Thursday. I had a calzone my husband had the chicken from the specials board. My calzone was all hot air while his main was just okay where normally it was very good it seamed to be missing something. I was not bothered about a pudding and I felt we where just being rushed even though the place was only half full

This is a superb and reasonably priced Italian restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was stunning and authentic. A must if in the area.

Visited last Saturday we had garlic mushrooms and mozzarella for starters followed by stirlon steak which was very tasty both cooked to our liking and very large didn't have room for a dessert it was from the early bird menu which was great value we'll definitely be returning

Booked on line a week in advance, from arrival to paying the bill, the experience was faultless. ~No sign of Julio but staff were on their game anyway, it always feels like dining at a friends place. You are gebuinely made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble, cant wait to go back for my birthday in March (or sooner if i get my owm way!)

I always visit Julios when I come back to Halifax with my mum and usually we love it but recently it seems to have changed a little. The food is wonderful and staff are lovely but it feels as if the whole experience is rushed. We got to our table and had a drinks order taken, drinks arrived then food order taken shortly after, bread comes free of charge which is a really nice touch after the food order is taken, we usually like to enjoy this before our meal comes but our starters came extremely quickly. As I was finishing the bread the waiter started to clear the plates around us. The mains came very quickly after and cleared almost immediately after we were done. The food is always so lovely but it would be nice to have 5 minutes between courses. We’ve never felt rushed before tonight and the staff are lovely it’s just something to keep in mind.

We went for Christmas lunch and it was the most reasonably priced one locally but it definitely did not cut back on food. There was so much turkey and accompaniments on the plate there was barely space on the plate or my stomach for the veg. The staff were spot on with service and efficiency and the whole meal was fantastic. Highly recommend.

We have been going to Julio's for years never had a bad meal modern inside always clean and food is amazing brilliant value for money. We go as a couple with friends and as a family and always feel welcome can not reccomend enough

Xmas meal for a group of 12 . Excellent food and enough choices. Service was fast efficient and friendly. The sea bass was particularly good and the accompanying vegetables simple ,warm and perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a celebration meal to a meal for 2.

We were in Halifax for a few days and thought we'd try Julio's and were really pleased that we did. We chose the three course early bird menu, the food was delicious and well presented. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, there was no problem about changing my choice over the second course (because my goat's cheese salad starter was very generous). My partner's meat balls were very more-ish, our pastas were just right, and as for the puddings...... I could fault neither the service nor the drink which complemented the meal. And the bill was just under £50.

Faultless, piping hot and nicely presented early bird meal, wonderful service and a lovely Trebbiano wine too. Superb value. Definitely be back. Popular so you need to book.

I had sirloin steak and it was really chewy and cooked more than what I asked! I think you should be doing better than this as the place looks nice. But the food very average.

A regular at this place and it’s truly lovely. The fillet steak is the best you’ll find in the UK! Pasta dishes are similarly good too. The customer service is excellent and the place is clean, modern and classy. A great place and amongst the best in Halifax, if not the best.

Had high expectations, the prawn cocktail was tiny frozen prawns bought from any supermarket, presentation was poor,lacked flavour,the main meal of carbonara was almost inedible it had so much oil floating around it,the bolognese my partner had was lacking flavour. Extremely disappointing

We chose to eat here as we was staying in the hotel next door. And didn’t want to wander around looking for something to eat. Omg we made a superb choice. The food was amazing. My wife commented the risotto was better than she had in Rome. Staff very polite. Service very good. I would highly recommend this Italian to anybody staying in Halifax.

We went to julios tonight to celebrate my daughters 4th birthday, the service was fantastic from start to finish and fantastic food, the highlight of our visit was the surprise from the staff who added some candles to my daughters ice cream and all came to the table to sing happy birthday resulting in one very happy light girl.

I’ve not been to Julio’s for probably well over a decade, so this visit was a long time coming. We had dinner there last night which we both really enjoyed.

Brought here by locals as a treat, and it disappointed. I enjoyed the mushroom risotto, which was absolutely delicious, but wished I had tried the fried courgettes as an accompaniment. The house red wine was brilliant, and serves at must the right temperature. Could it decide between coffee and dessert, so chose a liqueur coffee which was delicious. Others enjoyed the very creamy tiramisu. Very well trained staff.

We had an early bird menu, the food was nice, the vegetables could of been a bit more exciting, basic carrots, plain cauliflower, that's my only criticism. It wasn't rushed at all. The staff and the service were good. It's a clean bright restaurant. We would return.

We booked a table based on reviews here for a nice start to our couple of days in Halifax. It was very good and lived up to expectations. The steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked and very filling! It was nice to be a restaurant and not feel rushed. We only had 2 courses and a bottle of wine and were there for nearly 3 hours. Slow food! A refreshing antedote to today's rushed world. Thank you!

We were greeted and seated by friendly staff, with a warning that we had five minutes to be able to choose dishes from the early bird menu, which we promptly did. This did not result in us feeling rushed in any way though, nor did we at any point during the evening. Both of these dishes were absolutely delicious; in fact, we agreed that they were among the best we had ever had. The desserts were lovely too: light, good-sized profiteroles and a tasty cheesecake. We were delighted with the whole experience.
