Called in Today for a quick snack & drink as we have been here several times in the past. Unfortunately it was not quite the same as it was a couple of years ago. One member of staff was not as customer friendly as she could have been. Food was less than average. Sorry but we won't be returning

I have been visting the Courtyard for over 20 years and always looked forward to our visit and was looking forward to returning yesterday whilst holidaying in Cromer. However I came away very dissapointed and amazed by the poor attitude of one the young female staff. It seemed such an effort for her. We first asked where the toilets were and because I was hard of hearing I asked her to repeat it as I hsd truggled to hear. She was not impressed and with a sigh pointed to the toilets. We were then brought our drinks by another female member of staff who was lovely. However when I went to pay I has the young girl serve me. Her manner was so stand offish that I thought she had a problem with me. The whole time we were there she made us feel like she was doing us a favour and certainly not a paying customer. I wish now we had spent our money in another tearoom and will certainly be reluctant to return .

We came across the coffee shop and noticed that on a Friday night they opened until 11.30. We arrived at about 7.30, candles were lit and several groups of people were eating. We had a table for two and there was a happy chatty atmosphere. The wine was very nice and the charcuterie board for two was delicious. Well worth a visit.

On Thur, Fri & Sat evenings the Courtyard becomes a wine bar. Once the sun sets, the ambience changes with cool lighting and mood music. We have spent several evenings there during our summer vacation and on each occasion the 3 staff have been very helpful and engaging. The wine list, though not extensive, will suit most palates especially when matched with the charcuterie & cheeseboards.

Hidden away in the courtyard this is a nice place for a quiet coffee away from the busy high street. Very relaxing.

The tables closest to the kitchen are dog-free and the rest are dog-friendly, I thought this made a lot of sense. This café has a great atmosphere, there is background music, newspapers available and people pass through on their way to the few shops within the arcade. There was a good choice of drinks and snacks.

Nearly missed this as while wandering round the arcade in which it is situated, I glanced at the menu on a table and saw nothing which took my fancy. On exiting the arcade however I spotted their "specials" board outside so immediately returned and had a delicious snack and a coffee (yes, there was a board inside too, but I had missed it). Good food, prompt friendly service, reasonable prices, so what more could you ask for. In my case for the yapping dog at the next table to shut up, but I can't blame the cafe for that. I wonder why a handful of selfish dog-lovers let down all the others - the yapper being in total contrast to the the beautiful friendly St Bernard which was just leaving when I arrived. No wonder few places feel inclined to offer the useful dog-friendly area which this one does.

Nice quirky place with a dog friendly zone, a softer seat zone and is in a shopping arcade. Or an alley. or a conservatory depending how you look at it. It has an outside vibe inside. Good food with GF options. During the 40s weekend they took full part, dressing up and decking out. We sat under the Seigfried Line!

Set in a delightful courtyard just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Sheringham High Street you'll enjoy lovely coffee and cakes, and be able to take a breather from the delights of the beach or town.

This small cafe is inside a courtyard off the main street in Sheringham. We were looking for a very late lunch about 3:30 and had been let down by two nearby cafes (stopped serving other than cakes; and no brown bread for sandwiches). We were eventually glad of that because we had two simple toasted sandwiches here with a small salad garnish: they were piping hot and tasty. The owner does very well with her very limited kitchen area. Good value and we won't look elsewhere next time.

We stopped here on a walk from Cromer to Sheringham. Nice toasted sandwich and nice coffee. Staff were pleasant. As the tables are in an open court yard they also provide knee blankets - nice touch.

Just off the busy street is this coffee shop, part of which has dogs welcome, but close to where you order is people only at the tables. It's fairly small but service is good and not slow, and with a smile. There is wifi. Ideal if you want a light lunch or a drink, or snack, not a vast menu but perfectly adequate for our needs. We had jacket potato with butter and cheese which came with a side salad. We would stop here again.

Visited here again to discover some new additions to the menu. We had the most lovely hummus and olive salad, which was freshly prepared and well presented. It included peppers and beetroot, making a refreshing change to the normal salad options. Thanks girls, it was a delicious lunch.

Popped in for morning coffee and were pleased at the quality of the coffee, served in Royal Albert cups , at a fraction of the price we had paid the day before at a nearby establishment. The service was friendly and the ambience good. Highly recommended!

Have found this coffee shop to be one of the nicest places we have ever visited. Although its in a courtyard, the cosy setting, with colourful crocheted knee blankets, overhead heaters and pleasant music soon make you feel relaxed. The staff are always very friendly and polite, the coffee is always delicious and piping hot. Being vegans we can always be guaranteed an alternative to dairy, and they serve the most wonderful vegan bakewell tart and apple crumble pie with vegan custard or cream, a real treat.

Visited this cafe today. Hadn't even sat down and told very brusquely that we had to move as we had a dog. No signs saying that dogs were not allowed in that part of the very small cafe, although where we were "allowed" to sit was a mere three feet away. We decided that we would not give this rude and petty woman our custom and when I went to politely let her know and give her some constructive feedback as to why, she followed me out of the cafe screaming at me to not be so rude! Obviously we were not entitled to an opinion. Avoid at all costs.

Popped in for coffee and a scone. The scone was stale and could have been revived if it had been placed in the microwave for a few minutes to heat. Only jam and butter, no cream. Ordered an Americano and asked for a large cup but it was served in a small teacup and at £2.50 was way expensive at £2.50.

Finding most places in the town to be closed, we asked a local bobby where we could get a hot drink. Without hesitating, he directed us to Julie’s. I enjoyed a pot of red hot tea, with leaf tea and from a teapot that didn’t drip, whilst my friend had a large hot chocolate, both of which were extremely reasonably priced. Although the cafe is under cover, it’s in a courtyard setting which, you would think, is not the cosiest on a miserable January afternoon. However, the overhead heaters did a great job, especially when we used the handmade knee rugs to cover our legs. Our host, (Hannah, I think), who was busily crocheting more of the knee rugs when not serving, was very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit.

So pleased to come across this courtyard Coffee shop whilst in Sheringham one Sunday afternoon at the end of October. Attractive, calm surroundings, difficult to choose which cake/scone/ biscuit to have with our coffee/ tea. And when in Sheringham again, I'll know where to come for Jacket potatoes with fillings shown in the Poster in the seating area.

On a very hot September day, enjoyed snack lunch in the courtyard - out of the heat, in shade, with fresh air flowing up the courtyard. The friendly and efficient staff quickly served two excellent toasted sandwiches plus two large milkshakes. I would return. It also welcomes dogs (we don't have a dog).

Nice little cafe tucked away from the main road. Pot of tea (not the most flavoursome cuppa) plenty in the pot for three cups though. The latte was nice and a good size. We didn't eat but the menu looked simple and appetising.

Found this open on the last day of our short break and left wishing it had been open earlier in the week. The best vibes and coffee in Holt by a long mile.

Holt is a bimbling town and ably served by cafes, each with their own identity. The Wandering Whelk is nicely tucked away by a car park. We opted for coffee and toasted tea cakes but the menu was full of breakfast/ brunch treats. There were cakes too. It was very clean, relaxing and speedy service. It is an ideal place to linger over coffee and "a little something" as Winnie the Pooh might say

Best iced coffee ever! A regular here, staff always helpful and polite. Place is always clean and tidy. Food is always freshly cooked. Dogs always welcomed with a bowl of fresh water and a butcher's sausage. Today after a stressful morning I needed a nice friendly place to go. No brainer! Megs and an iced coffee, all is right again with the world. Thanks Thomaz

A lovely spontaneous night away in a truly peaceful, dog friendly village pub. We are always on the lookout for the perfect north Norfolk dog friendly hotel and this was a top contender! Lovely room with a ginormous bath and bathroom, with its own entrance, which is great for our noise sensitive labrador (any excuse to woof!). We ate dinner in the tranquil beer garden (have a pie-they’re immense!!), which was perfect for a warm summer’s evening (yes we do sometimes get them In the UK it seems). The chips were proper chips and the pie wasn’t just a lid! I’m vegetarian and there were several choices for me including two different pie options. Breakfast inside the pub was equally good-a fairly traditional menu, but that suited us fine…we both had full English (one veggie) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would we come back? 100%. We preferred this to Brancaster White Horse.
