Always on holiday ! Jocks, livin’ da life, always away cycling and jus’ chillin’. Moaning how hot it is on the continent and that the winter fuel allowance won’t cover the air con in the van. Doors open on this fine Sunday but no lemon drizzly drizzle, took one fine English SIS caffeine jel in return for a flat white. He’s lucky I accepted his heart in return for sitting in the wheels all the way round.

Great coffee, sensational cake. Power tools provide to allow for leaf clearance and the best lawn rake I've ever used! Great host who has some fantastic stories.

Judy’s lemon drizzle perfectly compliments the cafetière served by the Scottish migrant worker. Tucked out the way, two handsome young chaps walked through the side gate into the Al fresco dining area. Met by the great Jock and welcomed into the garden of Eden. J’ declined our English notes, pointing us in the direction of the leaf blower & lawn rake. After working like two prisoners of war in a Soviet Union work camp, we wiped our brows and went on our way.

Es muy pequeño, pero la comida se prepara fresca a pedido y era encantadora. ¡Los huevos que desayuné sabían hermosos!

We had a very nice cup of tea, china cup and saucer, pot of tea with a pot of hot water. The toasted tea cakes are a good size, served hot with butter. It's a really lovely coffee shop, with a few items to buy including cards. There is a corner for toddlers to play too. The staff were lovely and really informative on local knowledge.

On arrival we found a large car park with plenty of spaces. Entrance through the door at the front into bar area. People sat eating by the door and it must’ve been annoying for them with everyone coming in and draughty. We arrived just before one. Ordered drinks at the bar and lunches. Sunday lunch was good sized portion. Beef a little on the chewy side. Vegetables good choice. Not a fan of the cabbage and cauliflower cheese bit bland. Needed cheese toasting on top. Saw someone eating pigs in blankets and they looked great. Desserts a bit on the expensive side. We all left feeling quite full. I would say that the service charge really annoyed me as it’s a pub that not a high end restaurant and I would’ve left a tip of my choice not what the pub decides. We’ve given this place a 4 but I think it’s more a 3.5/5 7/10. Friendly staff and they welcome dogs. The ones in there today were very well behaved
