Jubilee House in Walsall

Visited with our friends on a busy Saturday evening. We ordered small grills and a butter chicken. All the meals were served quickly and extremely tasty and hot. Drinks are delivered to the table quickly Staff were all friendly and helpful Thank you for a lovely evening

Visited with friends and family and was very much looking forward to it as my previous visit the year before was excellent. Restaurant itself is still very appealing, I also like the fact you place orders at the bar so there is no waiting for bills and struggling to split bills with friends. As I am gluten free I re-checked the menu to see what I could have and not much had changed from last time and as expected I could have most curries, the rice and the bonus about this restaurant is the chips are labelled as gluten free. This is ideal for a gluten free person as rice alone is not enough and obviously I can't have the breads so having another side option is great. All went well with being seated and drinks order. I then went to place the food order and around 5 minutes later a waiter came to tell me I couldn't have the chips as they were not gluten free. I was disappointed but wasn't going to let it ruin my night but Jubilee either need to amend their menu to state they are not gluten free or they need to make chips available. It would not be difficult to get a small separate frier and just purchase some gluten free chips, there are a million brands in all the supermarkets. It may seem a very trivia thing to normal people but eating out gluten free is quite difficult so when you pre plan what your going to have and look forward to that choice, it is very disappointing when you can't have that choice. Between the 6 of us we all had different meals, however I ordered a balti and a bhuna and when they arrived there was absolutely no difference between the 2, both same colour, same texture and same flavour, I did wonder if they were the same curry at one point, they were also too salty. I don't mind salty food so it was fine for me but other people in the group struggled with it. Since our visit when we have mentioned Jubilee to other people they have also said the food there is too salty so maybe it needs to be addressed. My husband ordered a large mixed grill for everyone to share and a lot of the meat on there was salty and also some bits of the grill had a very weird texture. My one friend really enjoyed her food and my son said it was the best chicken tikka masala he had ever had so on the whole a very mixed bag. I will be honest, I would not re-visit again as with cost of living now and the financial struggles I want to be assured I will get good food so I would not take the risk visiting again. Staff, restaurant and ambience all lovely but unfortunately the food let it down.

Went there with family and friends and the restaurant was quiet, asked the staff if they would mind putting the rugby as nobody was in there and nothing was on. They put England v Scotland on and the staff were really friendly and food was average for pub grill but 60 minutes into the game more people had arrived and they turned the rugby off which I found very rude. After which we left and I will not be returning..,

Best chicken tikka masala I've ever had and the peshwari was to die for. The only downside was the continuous racket from the football match that was showing on their big screen and very vocal parties on other tables. Because it was so loud I have to give it 4* instead of 5*, don't enjoy spending time dining in such a loud environment

Fabulous night yet again on Saturday with the family for my sisters birthday , can’t fault the service or the food , definitely recommend the lamb chops , everyone enjoyed the food, and the atmosphere , can’t wait for the next visit

Have been a few times now, sometimes as a couple but have also introduced friends to this gem of a restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is delicious, the best balti I’ve ever had! Will definitely be returning

Love the food! We hadn’t booked a table and the restaurant was pretty packed out nonetheless the owner moved things around and set up a table for us. We had palak paneer lamb chops butter chicken. The palak paneer tasted authentically homemade. I would most definitely recommend this place for a special day out or a Friday night curry - or any time of the week! The service is great, it’s clean, the staff are friendly which makes all the difference. A huge thumbs up from us.

Arrived with mates for an original booking of 10, reduced to 7; staff very friendly and polite; asked us to wait in the bar for a while. After 5 mins, they came to get us. Good range of food, served in good time. We had 3 large mixed grills to start, which had kebab, chicken, fish pakora and wings on. Nan bread and sauces accompanied this. After this, we went for 4 curry dishes: chilli garlic chicken, chickpeas, lamb and butter chicken. All were really nice. Can't fault the food or the service. A really great evening.

Turned up on a Wednesday and the main resturant was fully booked. No problems as we were directed to eat in bar which was absolutely fine. Order of food and drinks were taken quickly and it wasn't long till our poppadoms arrived. The mains were fantastic and I went for the house special... really good, very tasty and a good portion. The wife had the standard tilla masala which again was great. I did notice the mixed grills keep going past me to other customers which I will be smashing the next time I visit.

What can we say……. First, but not the last visit. Lovely welcome, food a plenty, great interaction with the staff and great venue. Value for money!! Treated like Royalty. Kudos guys. See you soon ❤️

Went here last night on our works Christmas do. 10/10 best Indian food I’ve ever had staff were awesome will definitely be going back

Five of us went in for a meal one Thursday night, the place is lovely and clean, the staff are really nice and helpful. The food is beautiful, great tasting curry I had, one of my friends had the large mixed grill which also looked very tasty to eat. We definitely would go again

Went to this restaurant after having it recommended to me,I was in this area visiting friends,after asking if there was a table available I was shown into another room on the left as you come in and shown our seats,a youn lady then came and asked if we wanted drinks which we did ,on bringing our drinks she immediately asked for payment which was a surprise,and said you have to go to the bar and order your food surprise number two,no worries did that,within a few minutes our poppadums arrived 6 in total with a tiny amount of pickles/ chutneys not realy enough and penny pinching,during this time more customers arrived and were seated,this is were it went downhill.we waited for our main meal to arrive and waited and waited and waited,during this time many who had arrived after us were served with starters then mains one table finished and left,during this time three Sikh men sat next to us being among the ones arriving after us and were served starters then mains during this time their conversation was a mixture of English and Punjabi the English mostly being the words f*ck and fu*ing not good when your in an area you don’t know with your partner and son,I eventually went and asked were was our food after scrambling round amongst the checks on the counter which appeared to be in no particular order he found ours and said we will do you next,at no time was there an apology or any offer of any sort,we would have left but as I said we did not live in this area and decided to stick it out so at least we could eat,our meals when they arrived were very good and could not be faulted,such a pity they were let down by the absolutely appalling service and lack of any sort of apology.

The place itself is lovely for a sit down meal. The staff were great and the atmosphere was relaxed though it wasn't busy when we got there because of going early to eat. The food was excellent and we will definitely be going again ☺️

What an absolutely superb experience, the new Jubilee has been transformed into an immaculate bar and grill. On first entering you can feel the atmosphere generated by the customers and staff in the beautifully decorated bar, filled with large screen tv's showing the football, with a mix of dinners and football fans, and you get the feel that this place is not JUST about the food, but a nice place you can go for a relaxed drink. After a few beers sitting in one of the many booths, we were called to our table and led into the lovey decorated restaurant, with even more large tv screens, and i am glad we booked because the whole place was heaving. After looking at the menu's you then go up to the bar and order your starters, we just opted for poppadoms with dips, which were fresh and crispy. Then me and my brother in law opted to share the large mixed grill, swapping the chicken wings for tandoori chicken breast, it came with 22 pieces, a mix of fish pakora/chicken tikka/tandoori chicken/shish kebab and lamb chops, we also asked for our keema chilli nans to come whole so that we could make our own nan kebabs. Everything was cooked to perfection, my wife had the chicken korma, declaring that the chicken was the best she had ever had, tender and succulent, and not dry like she has eaten at other restaurants, and others tried the chicken tikka masala, remembering to ask for it to be cooked mild, as it usually comes quite spicy, and they declared it beautiful. The portions of rice were large and it to was cooked to perfection. Cully and the team go out of their way to make you welcome, and i wish them well in their new venture, i am already looking forward to our next visit.

Food was good. Decor was pleasant. However staff were quite young and need mor training. When asked if the Mutter dish had any chilli’s in it the person didn’t know and we had to go and ask the chef. Had to order for drinks at the table and pay but had to go to the bar to order food. Would have preferred either one or the other or even have a tab so only have to pay for everything once. I will go again & perhaps now I’m used to the way they work I might enjoy the experience a bit more. Hey

Friday night dinner with the family, great food, good atmosphere, good service, we would definitely recommend and will be returning 👍🏻

Terrible stale food. Lamb really tough. Chicken curry’s all looked the same. Some food hit some luke warm, could tell it had been reheated. Went there with family and we’ve all got bad stomachs Not authentic Punjabi

Spacious restaurant with communicating bar. Food is superb, staff care, are efficient and helpful. Try the succulent medium chicken balti, colourful and well cooked rice..Kema nans are not stodgy but nicely coloured medium..not filling consistency. A revisit is planned ASAP. Fair prices.

Very poor experience here today. Me & my daughter turned up as the match was finishing, admittedly we had not booked but the attitude of the staff was appalling. We stood at the door for a good 10 minutes with nobody coming to speak to...

Visited here with friends for a few drinks was a great atmosphere, situated off the road so you would need to know where it is. There is a pool table. We didn't eat here however the food we saw being served looked delicious

Hizo una visita aquí con un pal entusiasta después de oír cosas buenas sobre la comida, un poco difícil de encontrar ya que es escondido en algunas unidades industriales. Al llegar pedimos unas bebidas en el bar (bastante decente selección) y pedimos para pedir comida el tío servicial que servía dijo comida alrededor de una hora, ya que estaba recién preparado y tenían un grupo de 16 en otra habitación que tenía sentados. Pedimos una parrilla que era compartido sizzling un amplio entrante para 2 personas que podrían haber hecho con un cordero o dos, pero los pinchos y pollo eran excelentes. Plato principal para mí era ajo pollo chili que me pareció un poco seco, que había pedido con arroz que en retrospectiva no fue la mezcla perfecta para este plato seco. Mi compañero tenía un pollo al curry de espinacas y keema nan un mucho mejor mezcla. El chico de la mesa de al lado, que también estaba en su primera visita había cordero y espinacas al curry preparado en los chips de hueso y masala dijo que era muy buena, el precio de valor y la relación de la calidad es alta y bebidas a precios razonables en todos una experiencia satisfactoria.Volveré de nuevo a probar el cordero al curry (el hueso que no está disponible en muchos sitios), pero debido a tener que con los dedos para conseguir el mejor de ella le pedir con un nan y patatas fritas masala.Consejo entrantes sizzling son geniales, curry selección es pequeña y un poco en el lado seco, así que ten en cuenta de que cuando pida su acompañamiento

A través de amigos finalmente llegamos a visitar esta casa de curry. Yo había oído hablar de esto pero nunca pude ir. Me sorprendió gratamente, y no dudaría en volver. La comida era deliciosa y abundante. No sólo unos trozos de carne, pero mi plato estaba lleno. Definitivamente puedo recomendar el pescado masala para una entrada. Toda la comida era deliciosa. Fuimos un viernes por la noche con una pal. Yo había sido previamente pero esperamos una ridícula cantidad de tiempo porque el chef habitual estaba de vacaciones. Pensé que iba a intentarlo y me alegro de haberlo hecho. La comida era encantador, agradable ambiente relajado...

A mí y a mi trabajo mate visitó aquí ayer por la noche, nos han partido bastante pocas casas en Walsall Birmingham y parrilla de Wolverhampton y este fue una agradable sorpresa para nosotros, tuvimos una parrilla grande @ 10.95 lo que comparado con otros lugares en los que hemos estado era sin duda la mejor relación calidad-precio. El único inconveniente, que es para los amantes de la chuleta de cordero era que no había ninguna en la parrilla, para superar este chuletas de cordero pueden ser ordenados como una sala de sizzler que todavía funciona de muy buena calidad y el pollo y pescado ciertamente compensó la falta de chuletas de cordero. Fuimos con las patatas fritas y antiguo fieles Massala-jeera naans chili queso. Nuevo lados igualados en cualquier lugar donde había estado antes. Como experimentados parrillas si consigues un saben bien que normalmente grill no consigue el mismo nivel de curry. Casa de jubileo en ambas anotó lo que fuimos para un estilo de cordero curry que nos preguntamos keema para nuestro gusto "caliente" que estaba bastante bien. En resumen, sin duda vale la pena una visita personal bueno y amable ambiente y un chef que claramente se enorgullece de su trabajo. Los precios del bar buena relación calidad-precio también. Calificación general: 8.5/10

Hi.used to come here a few years ago on a regular basics.must say probly the best around wolverhampton.we had a mix grill and i must say i was really really disapointed.food was very bland.must b a different chelf.a pint of carling £ 3.10p.i thought was a rip off for a back street boozer.will not b going back.

Jueves por la noche a las 8 de la tarde y yo pedimos 1 curry con arroz. Me dijeron que estaba a 25 minutos de espera. No hay problema. 1 horas 5 minutos más tarde me dan mi comida después de que prometió dos veces...

Hemos visitado Jubileo Casa dos veces como muchos meses. Es un gran lugar para tomar unas copas y ver el fútbol o el boxeo. Es muy amable y la comida es deliciosa. El pollo tikka masala, patatas fritas y envoltura aunque picante para mí, son la mejor comida india que he probado nunca. Me hubiera gustado que no entrega en casa! El bar también cuenta con una mesa de billar, pantallas grandes y máquinas de varias frutas. Incluso aceptan tarjetas si te encuentras bajo en efectivo. Un gran lugar para ir a por una bebida, ver el deporte y comer un bocado.

Discovered this place about 2 and a half years ago. This place does not have an identity crisis at all. It's a sports bar / banqueting suite ( this is at the back of building). The food is excellent, we eat here 2/3 times a week and have never been disappointed with the food. The size portions are good, especially the starter .Nothing is too much trouble they will slightly adjust things to your needs if possible. All the bar staff and the people who own it are very friendly and welcoming.

Mega grill whats £13:50 with all chiken meat what tastes the same and a little sheesh kebab and the chutney must have been weeks old cuz it was disgusting !!great value not!! Also the chicken curry was a disgrace waterd down... by looking at reviews it seems ppl think this place is good.. you need to get out more and taste proper indian food.. ive eatin all over wolverhampton this got to be the worst!!

5 Star Food. Friendly Service. Great place to have a drink. Car Park is a little bit small. Large room for hire for parties. Will go back.

Sólo descubrimos jubileo casa año pasado aunque vivimos muy local. Así que me alegro de que probarlo ya que es un buen ambiente cómodo y el personal son muy acogedores. A menudo para una bebida y luego ordenar comida para llevar. Se puede comer en, como muchas personas con frecuencia hacer.La comida se ve y gustos increíble. Usualmente vamos a spring rolls y pollo Tikka Masala envolturas y patatas fritas es todo servido con lechuga, cebolla y salsas que acompañan. También hemos tenido la parrillada mixta recomendado en más de una ocasión.

What can I say an absolutely delicious meal at a reasonable price.We found the atmosphere great and the staff were very friendly.We will definitely be returning to the jubilee for a meal out again. A+

There are loads of Indian restaurants around, but very few that serve authentic North of India Punjabi food, if you want to try Indian food how it is supposed to taste when homemade then this is the place to go.We have ordered over the phone to collect, or ordered to take away and had a drink while we are waiting, it is a friendly place and it is warm, cos they actually put the heating on!Great little find!Suki

For a first visit to this restaurant/bar it was very disappointing. orderded starter of 2 popadoms and a portion of fish pakora, ended up waiting around 45 minutes to receive these (bearing in mind there was only us and another couple in the restaurant) then it was easy 1hr 20-1hr half wed ordered we finally received our main meal. the main meal was soo poor, the chicken korma had no coconut taste to it, more like a chicken soup. We were also given small plates to eat our main meal off. Ended up leaving having only eaten a starter and small amount of the main that we could just about stomach. What a waste of £30! shame really as the bar seemed good, maybe quit the food!

This restaurant is unusual. Its Working mens club meets indian restaurant and its very much hidden away.Ill start by saying the food is incredible. Really. Indian food is a favourite of mine but this is outstanding. You must try the masala chips!Now its set inside what i can only describe as a working mens club. Pool table, Big TV and a bar. Nothing special to look at, and its not so obvious to find either. (Look for the big party bus at the end of the drive and youll find it).I think its got an identity crisis and cant decide between being a pub or a restaurant. Either way its definately worth checking out for the food alone.

To start with Jubilee House is not a restaurant, it's abar that shows most sports on t.v. and serves very good food. Can be a little difficult to find . Have eaten here on many occasions and the food first class. The hosts Gully & Bulla are very welcoming and also serve well kept lagers.
