Drove in one morning to try and order food and were closed, now received a parking fine. Not happy

Horrible food, sorry with all due respect to kosher, the food does not go down the throat!! We returned endless portions!

Had a lovely salad made to my own specification. It was delicious and plentiful and i enjoyed it thoroughly. Nothing was a problem for Matti who looked after us. The menu has been upgraded by the new owner and the whole experience was a pleasure. They even serve fish and chips now!

I went with all my family and with my 4 children was really good food, Amazing service nice staff very friendly. You also get a toy when ordering a kids meal - the kids loved it!!! Definitely recommended! And I will be back soon !!

THIS RESTAURANT IS UNDER BRAND NEW MANAGEMENT... THE FOOD HAS IMPROVED HUGE TIME. THE SHAWARMA HAS A PROPER MIDDLE EASTERN TASTE. THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE... THE OWNER IS A TOP GUY. THIS HAS TO BE THE TOP KOSHER RESTAURANT IN TOWN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

New ownership.freindly service but Same microwaved food. shame chips are just about warm .not very hard to serve hot chips. Otherwise ok. Hopefully with time new owners will sort the place out.

The food is good - as long as you know what to order. However, their chips REALLY let them down. Often overcooked and either totally burnt to a crisp or just a sweaty soggy staleness to them. It might not seem like a big deal but chips are the easiest and often the most popular go-to for any takeaway so if you can’t get that right, I think that’s quite a big deal. Otherwise, I’d give them 5 stars. Delivery is always quick though and it’s packaged well.

Hadn't ordered from JS in over 5 years. Decided to give it another chance. I'm £25 poorer with the food in the bin. It was bad. Inedible actually. The only positive thing I could say is the packaging was OK.

We couldn't eat in as place was closing in half an hour, and we were informed some of our desired items where not available and needed substituted, only after the order had been placed. HOWEVER, Food was delicious and fairly priced. Although £1.50 for a can is a little extortionate...

I have attended several mortgage business events where kosher food can be requested. I always request JS for my lunch and have not been disappointed. The lunch is tasty and sealed as per halachic guidelines. I would recommend JS for any business related functions where a kosher option can be requested.

eat at JS often , their chicken soup is amazing the food is incredible. michoel always looks after his customers. its said Sir Alex Fergurson used to eat there often i can see why....

Food has gone from bad to worst, each time I have a take away I get diarrhoea, cost has gone up which dosn't help with todays cost of living.

Service was awful. Poor customer service would have been better that what we got which was no customer service. Placed an order to be collected and had to wait 25 minutes beyond the agreed pick up time. The food was ok for a takeaway, but we've had better from other local kosher eateries. A real shame as JS was once a name you could trust.

Generally good but today we sent out kids there to buy ice cream which was sour and tasted tangy and a little off. Called up and were told that it should have been shaken prior to them serving but they still can’t be exchanged. Threw them all out. Not the greatest service

Beware when parking as I just got a £55 fine thinking the car park belongs to the JS unless it’s a money making scam

I haven't eaten here but I have given them 5 star because of there customer service. I emailed them with a query and it was a bank holiday Monday, to my astonishment they replied back to me at 23.00 on the same day. For me this is going beyond the extra mile in connecting with there customers. I only hope more business acted this way. So thank you for working so hard in answering customer questions. It means a lot.

We were provided with absolutely excellent food, well wrapped and clearly labelled with instructions for the hotel staff and explaining what food was for each meal. If someone is Vegetarian or Vegan they fry the falafel and chips in same oil as meat. Sadly, don't seem to care when raised. (Having a small fryer to cater for those who are vegetarian/vegan is feasible for most establishments). So not much point eating here if of these two diet choices. Hopefully they will choose to care in future like the many restaurants around the UK already do. That way, Vegetarians and Vegans can eat together with other friends and family who eat the meat offerings / eat only in Kosher Restaurants.

The look of the inside of the restaurant on their website does not look inviting, with just a few tables. Is there no sit in restaurant anymore?

Friendly kosher meaty restaurant. Recently renovated with comfortable seating, provides a good ambience. The menu is quite varied and the food is tasty and good value for money. Good but not speedy takeaway food can be eaten on site. Street parking only. I like the burgers! Enjoy!

We love JSOTC. Online ordering is so simple and the delivery is very quick. Food is delicious, portions are generous and there is a wide selection to choose from. We will be back... again and again and again.

Credit where it's due About a year ago, I wrote the below, and it's really changed for the better. Last year.. Mixed feelings but dissatisfied with their takeaway service. Bought 4 shwarmas but couldn't tell which was which. The salads were not well presented nor generous. The laffa was obviously from a packet and it was wrapped in a thick foil which cut my lip. At least the sitting area has been expanded and improved. 1 Star. 2020.. Completely different at every level. Great team behind the counter with warm and friendly service. Each schwarma was itemized and labelled seperately. Way better quality of Laffa that tasted fresh and soft. Delicious schwarma, meats and salads. Food really well presented even in the takeaway boxes. 5 stars and thank you!

The fastest service Extremely tasty

Very disappointed with the ambiance and renovation of J.S. Very unremarkable. I had the children soup starter with kneidlach and was unimpressed; soup quite salty but matzo balls not much taste. I have to say I am hard to please as my cooking is very good; I usually put ground walnuts or even ground almonds in my kneidles which makes them tasty. I always have bits of chicken in my homemade chicken soup. This could have been from a tub of chicken soup powder. I went with 2 female friends for the early bird menu which we had booked for 6pm. I arrived first early and when I had been sat there for 10 minutes the waitress came up to me and said that they would be needing out table for other diners by 7.20p.m. Hardly leisurely dining. Fortunately, only one of my party thought it necessary to have a dessert ( which was very over priced). My friends had chicken schnitzels in one form or another which actually looked quite nice ( full of chicken). Unfortunately, I chose the cottage pie in a dish with mash on top and about 6 green beans ( just about cooked). It tasted very peppery. I don't think that I would be going back to this place unless someone else was paying for me and I could order from the more extensive main menu. By the way, the toilet seat in the ladies was a moving experience! I told one of the waitresses when I came out and they already knew about it; which begs the question why they had not put a sign up warning people.

Wow. That's some of the best food we've had in a long time! Hamburgers were awesome, soup really tasty, and service was amazing.

Visited for a business meeting and presented with 2 choices of soup and 2 choices of a main course. The red pepper and lentil soup was ok but nothing to write home about. The curried cauliflower was slightly better. As the meal was free I can hardly complain that much but that's not the point.

Absolutely amazing experience. Extremely friendly, customer service top notch. Food was delicious. Will definitely come back. Thoroughly recommend the shwarma and breaded mushrooms.

Beware the loos may not necessarily be locked

Average food matches the bland decor and atmosphere, not a patch on what it used to be. Chicken soup an insult, no chicken barely any lockshen. Not a patch on the local competition, which is way beyond on all counts and from what we saw and tasted where all the discerning customers go nowadays.

Reasonably priced fast food in the take away section

It's a little expensive, we ordered the meat dish for two. It was lovely. You get a while variety of things. The lamb and beef were perfect and tender. The staff were really attentive and sweet. I would definitely recommend for a date night, as it has a lovely ambience.
