Great food. Onion bhaji are superb. Kebabs are huge and it's red doner. Curries are tasty and authentic. Sal carrying on his long tradition for giving Bury a good feed.

Gave it a chance and wow am I glad. The best Chicken Tandoori and naan in town! The food is delicious, and the owner is super friendly. Highly recommend.

Went here for the first time tonight, Having a cold, I opted for an extra hot 🔥 jalfrezi keema, my missus had lamb and spinach karahi, we had 1 naan , 1 rice, 2 massive onion bhaji, at £26, it was absolutely banging for the money 👌, too much to finish in 1 sitting, This had my nose running, Will definitely return for more.

Ordered a samosa. It was served with tomatoes and onion salad with a sweet sauce. Samosa was sauggy. Totally ruined it. Jalfrezi was one of the worst I had in a long time. Never going back again. Chef must taste before serving. May be this place is good for kebabs but not curries

First time here and wont be the last! I can only comment on the large donner on naan.......... for now! ..........gorgeous, quality red donner meat, (not the cheap sh*te found in a lot of places nowadays, believe me, i know cheap donner meat when I see / taste it, my waistline will confirm it's not my first kebab rodeo), lovely fresh salad, real clay oven naan, (not a heated up store bought tortilla), lovely home made sauce, the yoghurt sauce and the chilli sauce are both excellent. The chilli sauce not overly spicy for me but that's a matter of taste I suppose, still delightful and tasty though! Really nice and friendly bunch of lads they are too. I weighed the baby when I got home to report stats back to my fellow kebab addicts............1 kilo and 65 grams of quality! (enough for two people easily) And all for £7.50!! (Collected, not ordered / delivered online via an app.) Cheers fellas! See you next week! :)

I usually quote "Always support your local" but on this occasion its a very well deserved 5 stars 🌟 The pizzas are amazing and the keema curry is pure punjab style OMG its mega spicy which I love. Also ordered the red donner and chicken on naan for the kids and the red donner kebab is exquisite 👌 All prices are average an fair and safe to say i will definately be going back again in the near future.

I tried to order through their website, but didn't receive confirmation. I phoned and was told to order through just eat and the pending payment from their site would go back into my bank. The order then arrived with items missing. I contacted them and they said they would send out the missing items. It never arrived and now both payments have been taken out of my account so Ive paid double for a missing order. Update. I've contacted the business and been told the boss is out of the country so there's nothing they can do. Futher update : 2 weeks later have received an email saying order cancelled and have now received a refund for the first payment. I've updated my rating based on this. Still not had my garlic bread though. 🤣

Food is poor, dinner meat is dinner meat, people who think because it’s red it’s a special one, it’s not, it’s colouring. Seek kebabs are tasteless, seriously not worth a visit. Although portions are very big, I prefer taste of volume.

Cannot fault the food. I have been going to this place as a kid, the service, food has not changed, the food is the best in bury, the curries are out of this world and pizzas are pretty good. When entering you see a big smile on uncles face which is what you want

Think it's taken over by new owners. We ordered chicken tikka masala, it was delicious, the portion was big, and the service was good. Highly recommended.

Placed order over the phone then set off to collect it, on arrival there was no record of the telephone order so had to wait for the order to be put together from scratch. It is definitely VFM here as I have found out during previous visits..

I have used Sals many years in the past. Punjab and have eaten many, many madras dishes... Friday night, my order arrived... the chicken madrs was so hot 🔥 I wasn't able to eat my meal , wasting £12.50 . My husband rang to feedback and was dismissed,and was told to ask to tone down the spices next time ... to my knowledge, all curries are rated for the heat.. and a Madras should not taste hotter than a vindalo .. I am so disappointed that a replacement wasn't offered .. it would have been a pleasure to have returned the one delivered... only fit for the bin.

First time I have been here. but it won't be the last. I just ordered a donner kebab. It was massive so much so when I got home I had to cut in half. The flavour was excellent and the Nan bread just cooked right unlike other places that are like dried cardboard. Must be one of the best kebab shops in Bury. If not the best I have tried so far. And I have tried a good few.Excellent all round. You must try it.

Really good kebabs and always consistent as well. Large mix kebab is massive and would say it's probably for 2 hungry people or more depending on how big or small your appetite is. Would fill 2 people up but would suggest to order an extra naan, my personal choice would be keema naan as that really hits the spot.

I was a regular customer at punjab,and 1 night the order was wrong and I wasn't compensated correctly so stopped using there service,tonight I decided (the Mrs told me to for the BEST ONION barjis in bury) to give them another chance!! We had a mixed kebab special and a large Donna. They were the BEST KEBABS I've had in a LONG time and will definitely will be using this quality Indian takeaway, well done 👍👏

Best kebab for a very long way. I travel 7miles for their brilliant donners. Always fresh, always huge, always satisfied. Sal, the owner, is a gent - lovely bloke making simply fab food at a snip. He apologized for increasing the price of a donner by 50p - to my mind I'd pay an another £1 and still be happy.

Visited for takeout dining after a recommendation received from pal who lives in this neighborhood. Food was good. Fresh out of oven. Kebab tasted great and sauces came complimentary. Fresh salad and Nan. Do visit, this place is just at exit of ASDA parking.

First time in tonight after seeing their kebabs have been recommended on the MANCHESTER DONNER CONNOISSEURS page on Facebook. Owner (boss) was spot on, saw him trying to go out of his way for other customers as well as us. For some people it comes natural and he is one of them. Kebab wrote me off, but absolutely spot on.

Karahi is amazing, onion bajis are too big and so always raw inside though, so wouldn't recommend them.

Ordered a takeaway Lamb Madras , Chicken Bhuna , Chicken Tikka Massala and 2 Pillau Rice . The Chicken Tikka Massala was disgusting it was very runny like sweet and sour sauce consistency but dark in colour and tasting extremely salty no flavour my Wife threw it in the bin . My Madras was ok but other than heat had no depth of flavour jar of Sharwoods Madras sauce is nicer . Then finally the Chicken Bhuna I bought to share was very watery full of half raw tomatoes and was rocket hot I tried a spoonful and I had to leave my meal for 20 minutes whilst my mouth recovered . The Pillau Rice on the other hand was great light fluffy and tasty for £1.50 a portion pity the currys themselves were just horrendous . First order and our our last we will never buy from here again and we even went in to get a menu after shopping at Asda one evening and the man we spoke to seemed quite nice and genuine

I would gave 0 star if I could. Worst curry I ever had. Madras tasted like chx with tomato souce . Nan bread is soggy . Onion rings our taste like flour... its absolutely disgusting.

Excellent place to eat. Ordered the donner and chicken mix in naan, was very delicious! So big I could barely finish it! Well worth the price! Value for money! Will definitely return for more. Edit: did return for more and this time got the chicken karahi and lamb karahi curries after the owner recommended it. The curries were absolutely amazing! Recommended 10/10

The oil is incredibly old and used making the vast majority of their food the primary cause of why you'll be having an intimate time with your bathroom

Fantastic food and fantastic service, the guy behind the counter was very helpful and apologetic for the wait. We couldn't decide whether to get bhajis or veg pacora so he did a small mix of both for the price of one and chucked in few extra sauces. Overall Punjab is fab and we will be going again.

I am from Bradford and I come to Bury for meetings. I came across this gem of a take away tucked away in what looks like an industrial estate. The first time I went there I was amazed by the level of service. The second time I went there the same person was not there so did not know what to expect but if was the brother of the owner and he was even better. Great food great price and great service. I will be back again

Had a order delivered last night this is the second time now food has been very dry and awful my partner has used this takeaway for over ten yrs or more but its discusting the food we received and to say she is known by the owner and staff I was disgusted

Most of the time it is good, their kebabs got unique taste and portions are usually massive. I eat it quite often but cannot fully recommend it due to hygiene standards. 1 out of 3 times you will run to the toilet before finishing your meal. Once I've seen how delivery driver asked one of the cooks for some change, cook was preparing a meal but stopped, reached into his pocket to get his wallet, took few coins and notes out of it, passed it onto driver and came back to preparing food without washing his hands. Maybe he doesnt know that money are one of most dirty items on planet and he is preparing food that can harm somebody when it is not cooked with certain hygiene standards. While I'm still disgusted I will probably order it again 😕
