New City Takeaway in Bury

Food is awful salt and pepper chicken dry, vermicelli not fresh, deep fried crispy beef tastes like vinegar and the beef curry full of salt. Utterly disappointing

Fantastic quality food, fantastic portion sizes, the barbecue ribs are outstanding, alongside the sweet and sour chicken, lovely family, the best around by far!

Overcharged because I asked for my food more spicy sent out spare ribs that I wouldn’t feed my dog burnt to cinders which they did replace with a smaller portion as they asked for the others returned which I happily did but unfortunately the replacement ribs were only slightly better sorry but just not good enough.

Cash only here had to go to cash machine a mile away had the classic fish and chips tinniest sliver of dry fish and bulked up with thick batter dry chewy not nice at all

Excellent, fast delivery, offered to take bank transfer which was great, delivered even though I was outside of radius, lady was very helpful and friendly over phone, food hot when arrived and large portions, would definitely recommend

OMG . To be rated 4.7 is by people being paid to rate highly. The starters were dryer than the Sahara. The mains were flavourless,rubbery and saltier than the red sea. I work off peoples reviews prominently ,but not this time

First time ordering from here first impressions on entering the place was wow! Immaculately clean! Met with a friendly smile an the food was delicious! Will defo be back. Give this place a try if u haven't already! U will not be disappointed 😋

Friendly staff good food but they make there own miles up for delivery as they were charging more than it should be so stopped having it delivered.

Absolutely excellent meals another one of my favourites absolutely delicious food every time the staff are so polite and nice to deal with they never get my orders wrong which can be frustrating if someone gets a meal left out not this place excellence every time they get 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️s from me every time value for money as well I recommend you try them next time your in town you won’t be disappointed.👍

Been eating from here for few years never had one bad meal food is always perfectly cooked and piping hot absolutely beautiful I have been a chef 7 years and normally very fussy but my dietary requirements are always met and I'm always left with full belly and very happy customer and the chippy is absolutely spotless and staff a the most lovely people ever

prices on line are not updated!... Sorry, but the food was disgusting. ordered a banquet for two set meal B absolutely disgusting no taste to it at all. chips undercooked, prawn toast awful so wet with grease and tasteless. Will not be using this Takeaway again £27.00 thrown in the bin.

This is by far the best Chinese Takeaway in Bury, I am a regular and every single time it is outstanding, I have tried so many around and this one is second to none, the team are so helpful and the food is yummy - portions are very large too :)

Probably one of the best Chinese takeaways for a mile......I pay a small delivery cost to get them to deliver to my area! Fantastic food, always hot and great portion sizes, would 100% recommend this takeaway.

Have tried all the takeaways in Whitefield and this is the best by far. Very generous portions (in fact the biggest portion sizes bar none) and very tasty. Salt & Pepper wings are simply divine. Great taste and great service. I highly recommend.

I hate to leave a negative review but feel that I need to, unfortunately. I've been eating from another local chinese takeaway for many years but had heard good things about this place, so decided to try it, just for a change. The menu is extensive and the portions are of a decent size but apart from the ribs and the prawns on toast, everything else we had was totally tasteless. The sauces were very watery and even the rice and noodles were not nicely seasoned. We'd picked up food for ourselves and also one of our neighbours (who also normally eat from the other takeaway) and they too felt exactly the same as us regarding the food here. I stress again that the portions were fine, the service was fine, the place was clean but... just no taste to the main courses and accompanyments.

Food is consistently good and is delivered pretty quickly too. In particular, the salt and pepper chips and special fried rice are best I've had.

Ordered here last week based on the good reviews. The place looks clean and the service is fast. Salt and pepper wings was very crispy with the right spices, similar to the ones I had in Chinatown pre lockdown. Will be ordering again through delivery service next time to check it out ;)

Ordered for the first time tonight, food was hot, fresh and lovely. Only criticism is i ordered 2 portions of chips and only got 1. But won't stop me from ordering again. Definitely recommend

A must try Chinese takeaway. It has probably the best salt and pepper chicken wings I have ever had. Another notable mention is the special chow mein with crispy noodles. They also do delivery’s within 3 miles which is a plus when I am too lazy to cook after work which is a plus 😅
